In this story, The team takes a boat ride for the afternoon. However, Sonic doesn't want to go because of his aquaphobia.
Tails: Guys! Guys! Take a look at what I found!
Tails pulled up a flyer for an afternoon boat ride. Everyone was surprised by the form except for - yep, you guessed it - Sonic.
Snowflake: Why? You wanna go?
Tails: Yeah. That is if you all wanna come with me.
Snowflake: Sure.
Knuckles: Why not?
Rouge: I guess I'll come too.
Tails: Sonic, do you wanna come? Huh?
Sliver: Where'd he go?
Amy: He was just here. Where is he?
Shadow: Hang on, I'll find him.
Shadow walked upstairs to Sonic. The door was open a bit so he just walked in and found Sonic sitting in bed.
Shadow: Sonic, you alright?
Sonic: Huh? Y-Yeah. Of course. I'm fine.
Shadow didn't listen though. He took Sonic into his arms and kissed his forehead.
Shadow: Come on. Tell me what's wrong.
Sonic: N-Nothing's wrong. Really.
That's when Shadow remembered something. Sonic hates the ocean. He's scared of water. Shadow started petting his ears to calm him down.
Shadow: Still scared about the water, huh?
Sonic just nodded.
Shadow: It's ok, Babe. Everyone knows anyway. And if you start getting scared you can hold my hand. I'll be by your side.
Sonic: Really?
Shadow: I promise.
A few hours later, the gang was at the dock getting onto the boat. Tails had planned to do some sight seeing the for trip. But right when they started to leave shore, he noticed for pale Sonic looked.
Tails: Are you alright, Sonic?
Sonic: Y-Yeah. Hehe. I'm fine.
Tails: I'm sorry. I guess I forgot you get seasick. We can go back if you want.
Sonic: N-No. You wanted to come on this boat trip so I-I'll tough it out. F-For you.
Then Shadow took his hand reminding Sonic that he was there. Which helped him relax a bit. About 10 minutes into the ride, everyone was looking at some sea life.
Amy: See, Sonic? The ocean isn't so bad, is it?
Sonic: Yeah. I don't know what I was so worried abo...
Before Sonic could finish, he felt something coming up.
Snowflake: You good?
But instead of responding, Sonic just vomited everything he had inside him. Everyone turned to him in shock. Once Sonic was done he ran off to the cabin of the boat. And Shadow ran after him.
Sliver: Whoa. I knew Sonic gets seasick but I didn't think it was that bad.
Tails: Hm...
Knuckles: Tails? What's wrong?
Tails: Nothing. I just feel so guilty. I was so excited about this boat trip that I forgot Sonic gets seasick.
When Shadow reached the cabin, he found Sonic crying on the floor.
Shadow: Sonikku?
Sonic: S-Shads?
Sonic blushes and turned away. Not wanted Shadow to see him crying.
Sonic: Go ahead...
Shadow: What?
Sonic: Go ahead and laugh.
Shadow: Why would I laugh at you? You think I didn't know you get seasick?
Sonic: [Crying] Y-You knew? How?
Shadow: I figured it out by how scared you were earlier.
Sonic: Shads...
Sonic couldn't finish his sentence before he started crying again. Shadow knelt down to him and opened his arms.
Shadow: C'mere.
Sonic leaned into Shadow's embrace crying his eyes out as his ebony boyfriend pet his quills to calm him down.
Sonic: S-Shadow...kun...
Shadow: Shhhh...It's ok, Sonikku. Just let it out.
5 minutes later, Sonic started to relax a little and wiped his tears.
Shadow: Feeling better?
Sonic: Y-Yeah. Thanks, Shad.
When the boat ride was over, Sonic was the first off the boat and laid down flat on the down as everyone stood around him.
Knuckles: So, feel better now that your off that ship?
Sonic: Yeah. Much better. Thanks.
