So sorry it's been a while since I updated this story, this is mostly just a padding chapter and also an explanation why we haven't seen Casey in a while, I actually kind of forgot about him because his there wasn't anything for him to do in the preceeding chapters this is kind of giving him something to do to explain his absence.
So Batman, Jonathan, the Turtles and Borden went outside the cabin to talk.
"OK..." Batman said folding his arms "...What eactly are these 'Terror Bears?'
Borden sighed "The only thing that gives me peace, is that I had nothing to do with their creation...They were subject to the most evil of experimentation! As newly born bear cubs they were subjected to a military virus..."
"Once again..." Don said folding his arms "...Why are they experimenting on bears? Which I'm pretty sure are protected species..."
"Once again..." Borden sighed "...If you're rich enough...And if you're black ops you can get people to look the other way...Anyway rather than killing the bear cubs the virus instead warped their development for their thirst three years they were treated as eperimental subjects for different kinds of biological toxins. The procedure consisted of injecting the bear cubs with massive doses of poison and hooking them up to uncomfortable electronic devices to measure their suffering..."
"Oh..." Jonathan groaned as he massaged his temples "...No wonder they went absolutely mad!" this was much worse than what he suffered through as a child! Thinking about Enna it seemed the reason she was as sweet as she was despite what she had recently been through was for most of her life she had been treated with modicum of decentcy, they were given toys and were allowed to watch video tapes, they were given human food to eat and because at least initally the experiment was to see how intelligent they were...To see how close the humans they were.
Borden continued "It wasn't until their fourth year that a scientist discovered the bear's unusual intelligence. At that point, they were transferred and subjected to even more brutal experimentation as researchers attempted to find out the extent of their intelligence and abilities..."
"All right..." Batman said "...Where do you come into this?"
"As their psychic abilities grew..." Borden sighed "...The Terror Bears became far too more dangerous to be kept where they were...So they transferred them to my facility because my financial consultant Florence Jablonski went behind my back...Fortunatly I do have a plan..."
"What plan?" Leo asked
"You know the runes you knocked over?" Borden asked "And I also saw you secretly put in your Duffel?"
"You saw that?" Don gasped
"I'm more perceptive than I look."Borden said "I secretly pickpocketed them back and before we went into the lab I secretly handed them off to your hockey mask wearing friend and sent him to a friend of mine...Haven't you been wondering where he went?"
"Geez..." Raph said "You are freakin spooky! You sure you're not a ninja?"
