The first 10 contestants for Castle Crashers had already arrived on Prince Charles Island, now it was time for the other 10 contestants to arrive. The next boat pulled up to the dock as the next contestant emerged from it.
Said contestant was an African-Canadian male with short curly black hair and brown eyes and a very muscular build. He was the tallest contestant so far, standing at 6 foot and 10 inches, and his outfit consisted of a black t-shirt with a pair of stonewashed black jeans, black trainers and a pair of black wristbands.
His name was Apollo Broderick, and he came from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. A lot of the other contestants, Ian included were a bit intimidated by Apollo's height and build as he walked down the dock towards Sylvester.
"Hey, host man. Me Apollo, and me ready to star on show." Apollo greeted Sylvester, showing that he was a prime example of the all muscle no brain stereotype.
"It's nice to meet you too, Apollo! Go ahead and join your fellow contestants that are waiting for you just down the dock!" Sylvester smiled at Apollo as he gestured towards the other contestants. Apollo nodded in understanding and walked down the dock towards the other contestants, and they made room for the muscular black man to stand in between them.
"Howdy, partner! Name's Vivian, and I look forward to competin' alongside ya fer the weeks t'come!" Vivian kindly greeted Apollo.
Apollo looked down at Vivian and smiled at her. "Hi, farm woman. Me Apollo, and me glad to meet you." He greeted Vivian back.
The other contestants looked up at Apollo and then at each other. "He definitely skipped growing a brain when he was young." Ian whispered to Francine, who reluctantly nodded in agreement.
"As much as it is a rude thing to say, I can't help but agree with you." Francine whispered back. The next boat then proceeded to pull up to the dock as the next contestant stepped out of it with their luggage in tow.
The next contestant was an Asian woman with beautiful brown skin akin to that of a model, long black hair that went down to the middle of her back and brown eyes. She was about 5 foot and 10 inches, and she wore a wine red top that exposed her shoulders, arms, belly and most of her back along with midnight blue jeans and wine red casual shoes.
Her name was Jamie Katano, and she came from Tokyo, Japan. "Hello, everyone. My name is Jamie, and just to get it out of the way: I won't be engaging in any romantic activity during my time on this show, because I already have a boyfriend." Jamie informed the other contestants as she walked past Sylvester and over to the contestants.
"That's alright, lassie! Nothing wrong with being on this show and only engaging in platonic relationships!" Patrick told Jamie with a grin.
Lemmy nodded in agreement with Patrick's statement. "He is right, madam. It is a good thing that you are willing to remain loyal to your man back home and only engage in platonic relationships while on this show." He told Jamie with a gentleman like smile.
"Thank you. I'm glad you understand." Jamie smiled back and nodded as she stood next to the other contestants. The next boat then proceeded to pull up to the dock as it dropped off the next contestant.
Said contestant was a Caucasian male with short shaven brown hair, blue eyes and a slightly muscular build standing at 6 foot and 1 inch who dressed in a white v-neck jumper underneath an unbuttoned black leather peacoat, midnight blue jeans and black shoes.
His name was Sean Dudgeon, and he came from Twycross, Leicestershire, United Kingdom.
"Everybody, meet Sean!" Sylvester told the other contestants as Sean walked up to him.
"Greetings, mate. I'm grateful to have received an invitation to compete on this show, and I look forward to what this show has to offer." Sean smiled as his distinctive British accent sounded as he spoke and he shook Sylvester's hand in a friendly manner.
"That's great to hear, Sean! Go ahead and join the rest of the contestants, we've got a couple more to go through!" Sylvester informed the British male, who nodded in acknowledgement and walked down the dock towards the other contestants.
"Howdy! Judgin' by yer attire, I take it yer a Doctor Who fan?" Vivian asked as she recognized Sean's outfit from the British sci-fi show Doctor Who.
Sean nodded. "I am. I love The Ninth Doctor in particular, hence why I am cosplaying as him during my time on this show." He replied to Vivian.
"I've heard of Doctor Who before, but I just couldn't get into it. It's not that popular in the States. Sorry about that, bro." Zarian told Sean with an apologetic shrug.
"All good, mate. I understand the show's not that popular here in North America, so I won't bug anyone about it." Sean assured him. Meanwhile, the next boat left behind the next contestant.
Said contestant was a lightly dark skinned woman with black dreadlock styled hair and brown eyes who was tied with Eva in being the shortest contestant, as she was 5 foot and 6 inches tall. She dressed in a long sleeved wine red v-neck shirt with black cotton trousers and blue and white sneakers.
Her name was Amy Jane Johnson, and she came from San Diego, California, USA.
"Welcome to the island, Amy Jane!" Sylvester greeted Amy Jane as she walked over to him.
"Hey, Sylvester Castle! Good to meet you!" The short woman smiled as she high fived the much taller host before looking at the island. "Nice island you got here too! It's definitely a step up from what Total Drama had with Camp Wawanakwa and Pahkitew Island, for sure!" She beamed.
"Thanks, Amy Jane! Glad you like the island! If you're lucky, the island could end up being yours one day!" Sylvester told Amy Jane.
"I know, I just love the possibility that this entire island could be mine! But for now, I'll just go ahead and chat with the rest of the contestants!" Amy Jane replied with a smile before walking down the dock towards the other contestants.
"Hi there! You're the other contestants, right?" Amy Jane kindly greeted the other contestants.
"Yep, that's us, girl! Nice to meet ya!" Vivian grinned at the other contestants.
"Yeah, nice to meet you, girl. Name's Zarian." Zarian smiled as he shook Amy Jane's hand.
"Nice to meet you all too." Amy Jane smiled as she returned the handshake. The contestants then turned to look as they saw the next contestant arriving.
Said contestant was a Caucasian male with shoulder length blond hair, large blue eyes, a handsome masculine face and a muscular build standing at 6 foot and 6 inches tall. His outfit consisted of a black and white striped t-shirt with blue jean shorts, white socks and dark blue sneakers.
Many of the contestants were awestruck at the man before them as he jumped off the boat and onto the dock. The man's name was Walt Thompson, and he came from Miami, Florida, USA.
"Everyone, this is Walt! We selected him based on his looks!" Sylvester told the other contestants as he introduced Walt to them. Walt walked up to him in the meantime.
"Hi, everyone. Like Sylvester here said, my name's Walt, and I'm looking forward to having a friendly competition for the ownership of this island." Walt told the other contestants before he walked over to him as he stood in between them. Many of the female contestants were blushing madly as they tried to keep their composure around Walt. They felt they were going to faint in front of him.
"What a man..." Vivian muttered under her breath, trying to hide it by making it sound like a chuckle.
"Is he even real...?" Sylvia whispered.
"He's so...dreamy..." Francine whispered too.
"They always go ga ga for the models." Ian chuckled as he folded his arms in front of his chest with a smirk. The other contestants, as well as Sylvester were so occupied with Walt that they hadn't noticed the boat dropping off the next contestant.
Said contestant was a brown skinned woman with brown hair tied into a ponytail as well as two bangs on both sides of her head and black eyes who stood at a solid 6 foot. Her outfit consisted of a zipped up dark gray hoodie with tan cargo pants and laced up red boots.
Her name was Claudia Dorval, and she came from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
"Um, am I supposed to wait for my cue here or something like that...?" Claudia asked, speaking in a French accent.
That's when Sylvester and the other contestants turned to her. "Oh, hello, Claudia! Sorry about that! The contestants were all busy getting to know each other, so we didn't notice you there! But we're glad to have you here!" Sylvester greeted Claudia as she walked over to him.
"Ah, I see, I see. Everyone's getting friendly with each other on the first day, eh? Well, I don't see anything wrong with that. But I hope that everyone remembers that this is a competition, and that sooner or later we'll have to start voting out people that we like." Claudia pointed out.
"I think everyone's aware that this is a competition, lady. But that doesn't mean we can't be friendly with each other." Eva pointed out to her.
"She's got a point, ma'am. Just because this is a competition, doesn't mean you can't get along with each other." Sean agreed with Eva's statement.
"Fair enough. A good social game is important in a contest like this." Claudia nodded as she stood next to the other contestants.
"Me got bad feeling about French woman." Apollo remarked. The mood was cut short however, as the next contestant arrived.
Said contestant was a Caucasian male with spiky black hair, light green eyes and a thin body build who was the shortest contestant so far, standing at a mere 5 foot and 3 inches. He wore a yellow shirt with long black sleeves and black cargo pants with black and white sneakers.
His name was Wallace Gallagher, and he came from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was currently in the middle of playing a video game on his handheld game console. He was so invested in his game that he didn't notice that he had been dropped off at the island. Wallace soon looked up from his game and saw that he had arrived.
"Oh, shoot! Did I already get here? Sorry, I was so busy playing my game that I kinda forgot to pay attention to where I was." Wallace blushed in embarrassment as he put away his handheld.
"It's okay, Wallace! Glad to see you made it here safe and sound!" Sylvester greeted Wallace as the short male walked up to him.
"Thanks, Sylvester! Glad to see you're showing compassion and concern for the contestants' well being! You're a lot better than Chris McLean in that regard!" Wallace smiled at the brown haired host.
"Thanks, Wallace. I do try. Now go ahead and join the other contestants, we're almost done after we've covered the last few contestants." Sylvester smiled back as Wallace nodded in acknowledgement and walked over to the rest of the contestants, feeling a bit intimidated by how tall everyone was compared to himself.
"W-Whoa! I never thought I'd be competing with so many giant people on this season!" Wallace said in shock.
"Maybe you just suffer from dwarfism." Ian chuckled, which didn't make Wallace feel at ease.
"Don't listen to him, partner. He's just teasin' ya. Don't worry 'bout bein' shorter than the rest of us. I'm sure you'll get along with us just fine." Vivian assured him with a kind smile.
"Alright, thanks." Wallace smiled and nodded and stood next to the rest of the contestants as the next boat pulled up to the dock and dropped off the next contestant.
Said contestant was a Caucasian female with brown hair styled in a similar way to Sylvia's hair, with it being shorter in the front and longer in the back. She also had black eyes and stood at 5 foot and 9 inches. She wore a pair of round glasses along with a baby blue long sleeved sweater and a pair of black dress pants with black dress shoes.
Her name was Leona Folfax, and she came from Boston, Massachusets, USA.
"Greetings and salutations, fellow contestants. I go by the name of Leona Folfax, and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Leona kindly greeted the other contestants.
"Yer not an evil genius like Scarlett from Total Drama: Pahkitew Island, are ya?" Vivian asked Leona just to make sure she wouldn't try anything funny.
"Yeah, I'm a bit uneasy around brainiacs because of Scarlett." Yuki agreed.
"I understand that you all are a bit skeptical of a brainiac like myself competing on this show because of what happened with Scarlett during the events of Total Drama: Pahkitew Island. But I can assure you that I have no intention to bring any fatal harm to the contestants of this show and instead aim to use my knowledge to aid my team during the team phase as well as just generally be friendly with my fellow contestants during my residence on Prince Charles Island, given that this is a friendly competition to win the title deed for this island." Leona assured the other contestants.
The other contestants looked at each other before nodding as they accepted Leona's statement. "Good enough fer me. I can tell yer bein' honest in yer statement, so I can tell we can get along fine." Vivian grinned at the brainiac.
"Yeah, I can tell you're nothing like Scarlett, so I'm happy to be on this island with you." Kimberly nodded in agreement.
Leona smiled as the other contestants accepted her. "Thank you. I appreciate that you are accepting me into your social circle of competitors for the time being." She replied as she walked down the dock and joined the rest of the contestants.
The next contestant was then dropped off at the dock as he walked over to Sylvester. The contestant was a dark skinned Canadian male with short brown hair, beady black eyes and a bushy brown beard on his chin. He also had a muscular build, and he was about as tall as Walt, standing at 6 foot and 6 inches, but he was fortunately very friendly despite his intimidating appearance. He wore a long sleeved pink dress shirt along with dark blue dress pants and dark brown classic boots.
This was DJ from Total Drama Island, and even though he had been traumatized from his time on Total Drama, his mother was able to to convince him to sign up for Castle Crashers to help him get over his fear of reality shows. DJ had also gotten a new outfit to help him fit into his new era of reality show competitions.
"Yo, DJ! Great to have you here, man!" Sylvester smiled as he high fived DJ.
"Yo, Sylvester Castle! Thanks for having me on your show, man! I hope you read on my application form that I do not wish that person to be named during my stay on this show, right?" DJ asked Sylvester as he returned the high five.
"I did, DJ. And we'll make sure that he isn't mentioned in your presence on this show." Sylvester assured DJ.
"A'ight, thanks. That might make my stay on this show a bit more bearable." DJ replied as he walked down the dock towards the rest of the contestants.
"Howdy, DJ! It's an honor to meet ya! I was a huge fan of ya on Total Drama!" Vivian grinned as she was thrilled to be in the presence of another Total Drama contestant.
"Thanks, girl. Glad to meet one of my fans on this show. And just to make it clear to y'all: I do not want to hear the name of Total Drama's host while I'm around any of y'all. Just hearing his name is enough to remind me of everything he put me through on Total Drama." DJ then told the other contestants.
"Don't worry, man. We'll make sure he isn't named in your presence." Zarian assured him.
"Yeah, we respect what you aren't comfortable with, so we'll make sure that you aren't made uncomfortable during your time here." Jamie assured him with a smile.
"Thanks, y'all. You're already good to me." DJ smiled as him and the other contestants watched the boat drop off the final contestant.
The final contestant was a Caucasian woman with neck length dirty blond hair, golden brown eyes and a slim build who stood at around 5 foot and 8 inches. Her outfit consisted of a sleeveless orange top that exposed her shoulders, arms, belly and most of her back along with a knee length orange skirt, white socks and orange sneakers with white laces.
Her name was Stevie Davis, and she came from Gold Coast, Australia. "And now for our final contestant, meet Stevie!" Sylvester introduced Stevie to the other contestants as she stopped in front of him.
"G'day, Sylvester. Thanks for having me on your show. I look forward to competing alongside the rest of these guys for the next 6 weeks." Stevie smiled at the brown haired host as she spoke in her Australian accent.
"Thanks, Stevie! Go ahead and join the other contestants!" Sylvester smiled back at Stevie, who nodded and joined the rest of the contestants.
"G'day, everyone. Like Sylvester said, my name is Stevie, and I look forward to competing with you all." Stevie kindly greeted the other contestants.
"Howdy, Stevie! Name's Vivian, and can I just say that I love Australian people 'cause they remind me a lot of people back home in Texas?" Vivian told Stevie with a grin.
Stevie giggled at Vivian's comment. "Thanks, mate. I've been to the States before to study abroad for my third year of high school, and a lot of the students there told me they also love Australians because they are viewed as British Texans. I see that as a compliment, so I'm more than happy to receive those compliments from you too." She told the patriot with a kind smile before turning towards Sylvester.
"Alright, that's all of the contestants! Now that all of you are here, we can get started on the tour of the island!" Sylvester proudly announced as he began to guide all of the contestants up the dock towards the living area of the island, starting at the Island Council area.
"This here is the Island Council area. This is where teams that lose a challenge come together to vote off one of their team members. It's a lot fancier than the campfire pit at Camp Wawanakwa and Pahkitew Island, but still, I doubt that you'd like to end up here, so don't let the fancy outlay of the area encourage you to deliberately lose challenges." Sylvester told the contestants as he showed them the Island Council area.
"Yeah, I doubt anyone would love to be at the elimination ceremony, so I don't think anyone is going to lose a challenge on purpose for the sake of coming here, no matter how nice the area may look." Sylvia quipped as the contestants looked around the area.
"Sylvia makes a good point. Why would anyone deliberately want to lose a challenge on a show such as this? Unless you are Scott from Total Drama: Revenge of the Island, whose whole strategy was based around having his team deliberately lose challenges for the sake of voting people off, I don't see any reason to deliberately lose a challenge." Lemmy agreed with Sylvia's reasoning.
Sylvester nodded at Sylvia and Lemmy's comments. "Very good. Now come on, we have a few more areas of the living area of Prince Charles Island to show off." The brown haired host spoke as he took the contestants to the next area of the island.
In this area of the island stood three buildings. The left building was a lodge like building that was pink in color. The building in the center was larger in size and was brown in color, and the right building was another lodge like building that was blue in color.
"This is the main area of Prince Charles Island, where the accommodations for the contestants as well as the dining establishment are located! The pink building on the left is where the female contestants sleep, the blue building on the right is where the male contestants sleep, and the large brown building in the center is the dining establishment!" Sylvester explained to the contestants.
"So the male and female contestants sleep in two separate buildings? How will that influence things when we get split up into two different teams?" Kimberly asked Sylvester curiously.
"Yeah, because I doubt we will have one team full of girls and one team full of boys competing against each other." Walt agreed with Kimberly's reasoning.
"Well, since Total Drama didn't allow much room for contestants who weren't on the same team as one another, the executives wanted to change that with Castle Crashers by allowing more room for contestants who aren't on the same team to interact with each other whenever there isn't a challenge going on. That's one of the reasons why on Castle Crashers, we're having all female contestants sleeping together in one building and we're having all male contestants doing the same thing." Sylvester explained to the contestants, who all looked at each other before nodding as they accepted Sylvester's reasoning.
"That makes a lot of sense." Patrick replied to the brown haired host.
"I agree." Amy Jane chimed in.
-Confessional: Sylvester-
Sylvester was shown sitting inside a dark brown wooden building, which served as the show's confessional. "Much like on Total Drama, you can also share your thoughts about your stay on this show inside this confessional anytime you like! If you want the viewers back to know what you're thinking of or just need to get something off your chest, then this building is the place to be!"
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Patrick-
"Well, this is a rather fancy confessional! Definitely a step up from Total Drama, where Chris had the contestants use a port-a-potty for like 5 out 6 seasons of Total Drama! Glad to see Castle Crashers prioritizes quality over quantity compared to Total Drama!" Patrick grinned.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Eva-
"Alright, so far, my return to reality show competitions is going smoothly. The people are bearable, the island and the establishments are fancy, and the host is a lot nicer than that McLean dude. I could get used to this." Eva smiled as she folded her arms in front of her chest.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Apollo-
"Me not understand purpose of puny building me inside right now. But me use building anyway because host man said so."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Vivian-
"Holy cow! I'm just so excited to be on this show! After Total Drama got cancelled due to what happened durin' Pahkitew Island, I thought my chances of competin' on a reality show were doomed, but I'm glad this show came along fer me to compete on!" Vivian cheered.
-End Confessional-
"Very well. This is where we'll end the tour for now. For now, I want you all to get settled into your lodges, and then I want you to meet me at the dining establishment by 6 PM. Be sure to dress up fancy when you get to the dining establishment." Sylvester told the contestants, who all nodded in understanding as the female contestants went over to the pink lodge and the male contestants went over to the blue lodge.
