Hello, Total Drama fans. Alexneushoorn here, back at you yet again with another unfortunate message. Like with Total Drama: Crossover Island and Total Drama Patriots, Requiem Of The South is unfortunately cancelled. I know, I've been cancelling a lot of stories lately, and like with Crossover Island and Patriots, I have my reasons for cancelling Requiem Of The South, which I'll be explaining in a moment.

So I'm sure that most of you who know me in the SYOC community know that the main character of this story, Vivian May Jackson, has been the victim of a number of bad portrayals in SYOC fics. These bad portrayals had lowered my confidence regarding submitting Vivian to SYOC fics, and I had talked about it a couple of times in one of the Total Drama-themed Discord servers I was in, and Clown Princess Phoebe gave me two different ideas on how I could portray Vivian more positively to the SYOC community. The first idea is how Total Drama Patriots came to be, and the second idea was when Phoebe told me that whenever she feels that her Total Drama OCs are being underappreciated, she goes to write a whole story about them, which is how Requiem Of The South came to be.

Now, recently, DaringDF1827 suggested me to revamp Vivian into an entirely new character so as to put her into a more positive light in the SYOC community, so I did, but in the process, it killed all of my motivation to continue working on this story. Plus, I've bit off more than I could chew when it comes to Total Drama related stories over the past couple of years; I started writing too many of them at once and I didn't know how to manage time between writing all of them, which is why I decided to cancel Total Drama: Crossover Island, Total Drama Patriots and Requiem Of The South. But like with Crossover Island and Patriots, I won't leave you with unanswered questions as to what the elimination order for this story would've looked like, so I will be listing the entire elimination order for the story down here along with how each elimination would've played out.

#20: Zarian – I always had Zarian planned to be the first boot for this story, and his elimination would've played out something like this: After his team lost the first challenge, Zarian's temper would start flaring up and he would tick off several of his teammates in the process, causing them to vote him out first. I always regretted creating Zarian solely for the purpose of being a first boot for this story, mainly because I based the character off of ZNBT, the author of Total Drama: Tour of the States, which Vivian starred in. Essentially, Zarian's character and his role in this story were a way for me to vent about ZNBT and how poorly written his Total Drama: Tour of the States story was, which was mean-spirited and I would definitely not create a character like this and have them play such a role in one of my stories today.

#19: Leona – Leona was going to be the second boot for this story, and given that she was a brainiac and the whole Scarlett incident from Pahkitew Island was still fresh in the contestants' minds, they would obviously still have trust issues with Leona in spite of her assurances she wouldn't become another Scarlett. While Leona took offense to being eliminated for this reason, she still accepted her elimination in a mature manner and leave the competition with honor.

#18: Sean – Francine and Ian would end up being the main antagonists of this story, and Sean would've been one of the first people to start catching on to their scheming. Sean would openly confront Francine about her scheming, with Francine playing the victim and their teammates starting to see Sean as the antagonist, and due to their team losing the challenge and having to attend elimination, the majority of the team would vote out Sean.

#17: Jamie – Jamie's elimination would end up being similar to Justin's elimination in Total Drama Island; Francine would start drawing a target on her back around this point of the competition, and she needed a scapegoat for this, deciding said scapegoat would be Jamie. Francine got most of her team to vote out Jamie, and Jamie's elimination scene would involve Jamie bidding her teammates goodbye before hanging her head in disappointment and walking down the Dock of Shame as she did so.

#16: Lemmy – This elimination would've played out similarly to Katie's elimination in Total Drama Island, with a few notable differences; Unlike Katie and Sadie, Patrick and Lemmy would've been on different teams with neither of them protesting against it, and Lemmy wouldn't have been eliminated due to him, shall we say, sharing a brain cell with his brother. The challenge for this episode would've involved the contestants surviving out in the wilderness similar to the Sucky Outdoors episode from Total Drama Island, and given Lemmy's slight germophobia, he would spend more time complaining about the challenge than actually helping out his team. As a result of this, his team ended up losing the challenge, and they voted out Lemmy as a result of this. Patrick ended up being upset by his brother's departure, but unlike Sadie, Patrick would end up getting a character arc where he would try to manage without his brother being in the competition.

#15: Stevie – Stevie's stereotype is "The Clever Girl", and the reason why this is her stereotype is because of her resourceful and witty nature, as well as her tendency to speak in a very eloquent manner and utilize complex vocabulary that the other contestants struggle to understand. Due to this high intelligence, Ian, who was on a team with Stevie, ended up viewing her as a threat and he ended up sabotaging Stevie during a challenge by feeding her a plant from Prince Charles Island that ended up making Stevie very sick, and she had to be medically evacuated as a result of this.

#14: Kimberly – Kimberly would've been the second contestant to start catching on to Francine and Ian's scheming, and she would've tried to expose the two of them to their teams, and after Kimberly and Francine's team lost the challenge, she would try to garner enough votes to send Francine home, but ended up being sabotaged by Walt at Francine's request because Walt and Francine had gotten together as a couple at this point in the competition. As a result, Kimberly was eliminated and sent home.

#13: Yuki – Yuki's elimination would've played out similar to how the elimination in the If You Can't Take The Heat episode from Total Drama Island should've gone. Like that episode, the challenge would've involved the contestants having to cook a three-course meal for the host to judge, and Yuki would've ended up eating his team's three-course meal before they could serve it to the host like Owen did in Total Drama Island. Unlike Owen, however, Yuki wasn't spared from elimination for this grave mistake, as the overweight man was eliminated and sent packing down the Dock of Shame.

#12: Amy Jane – This elimination would've been the second medical evacuation of the story, and it would've played something like this: During the challenge, Amy Jane's team would end up encountering a wild bear after accidentally wandering into its den. The bear would try to attack Wallace, but Amy Jane saved him by pushing him out of the way, at the cost of being slammed into a rock wall by the bear and breaking the majority of the bones in her body, somewhat similar to the injuries Skipper sustained while trying to save Mort from the Rat King's attack in the ice hockey episode of Penguins of Madagascar.

#11: Wallace – This elimination would've played out something like this: Like Harold and Duncan in Total Drama Island, Wallace ended up being the victim of a lot of Ian's bullying, to the point where Wallace got fed up with it and tried to rig the votes to get Ian eliminated, but Sylvester, the host revealed this at the elimination ceremony, saying that unlike Chris McLean, he wouldn't allow a contestant to cheat another contestant out of the game, and Wallace was disqualified for tampering with the votes.

#10: Apollo – Around this point in the competition, the teams would get merged, and it would be every contestant for themselves afterward. Given that Apollo was the biggest physical threat at this point in the competition, it was only natural for the majority of the contestants to start targeting Apollo at the elimination ceremony, and while Apollo was sad that he was eliminated, he at least went home knowing that he made a lot of good friends while he was at Prince Charles Island, and his elimination ended peacefully.

#9: Walt – Claudia would end up being a secondary antagonist in this story, and at this point in the competition, she would try and hinder Francine and Ian by hatching a scheme to get Walt out of the game due to his romantic relationship with Francine. It would've been similar to Heather's scheme to eliminate Trent in Total Drama Island, in which Claudia would end up kissing Walt, with Francine seeing this and becoming heartbroken. When Sylvia got word of this, she ended up rallying the majority of the contestants to vote out Walt under the belief that he was the one who kissed Claudia rather than the other way around, and Walt ended up going home, but not before Claudia revealed her scheme to the other contestants, angering them at the revelation that they had been played like the contestants in Total Drama Island.

#8: Claudia – Seeking revenge against Claudia for her scheme to get Walt eliminated in the previous episode, the other 7 contestants ended up bullying Claudia during the challenge to the point where Claudia was physically unable to complete the challenge. At the elimination ceremony, it was no surprise that Claudia ended up garnering the most votes and was promptly eliminated, with Claudia having to be dragged towards the Dock of Shame by Sylvester and one of the interns as a result of her being unable to accept her elimination.

#7: Eva – Given that Eva was a pretty big physical threat and the fact that physical threats aren't that welcomed this late into the competition, it only made sense for the majority of the remaining contestants to start targeting Eva for elimination. The reason why I had Eva planned as the 7th place finisher for this story is because I feel that Eva's merge return in Total Drama Island was completely wasted as well as that I found the fact that Eva never competed on another canon Total Drama season after Island was a shame, as there was a lot that could've been done with Eva's character, so I sought to fix that by planning Eva as the 7th place finisher for this story so that I had enough room for expanding upon Eva's character.

#6: Patrick – Patrick's elimination would've played out somewhat similar to Geoff's elimination in Total Drama Island: He was targeted by his fellow contestants for being too nice. Plus, by this point in the competition, enough time had passed since Lemmy's elimination, which would've been the right moment to end Patrick's character arc involving managing without his brother being in the competition, which, in my honest opinion, is the kind of character development that Katie and Sadie should've gotten in Total Drama Island or any canon Total Drama season for that matter.

#5: Sylvia – Like with my Total Drama: Crossover Island story, this elimination would've been the Playa Des Losers elimination. And like in Clown Princess Phoebe's Total Drama: Space Station story, this time, the elimination would play out a lot more fair, as it involved the eliminated contestants playing a challenge where they had to shoot at targets featuring the faces of the final five contestants using a catapult loaded with tennis balls. Whichever of the final five contestants would have all of their targets get destroyed first would end up being eliminated. Sylvia would've had all of her targets being destroyed first, so she ended up being eliminated.

#4: Ian – This elimination would've ended up being similar to Duncan's elimination in Total Drama Island. The challenge would've involved the final four contestants being split up into two teams of two and having to race from the south side of Prince Charles Island all the way to the north side of the island and fight a large robot at the end of the race. Whichever team was the first to defeat the robot ended up getting immunity. Team One would've consisted of DJ and Ian and Team Two would've consisted of Vivian and Francine. DJ and Ian ended up losing the challenge, and at this point, Francine would turn on Ian and vote him out alongside Vivian and DJ. This elimination would also end up being a bittersweet one due to Ian having joined the show to try and win the money to pay for his father, Henry's hospital bills, and due to having been eliminated, he had to go home broke, and Ian would end up having an emotional breakdown because of this.

#3: Francine – This elimination would've ended up being similar to Sugar's elimination in Pahkitew Island. The contestants were allowed to think of their own challenges for the semi-finals, with Francine deciding on a talent show to be the tiebreaker for the elimination. As a twist, Sylvester had the contestants perform each other's talents, with Francine having to perform Vivian's talent of singing, and due to not having the best singing voice, Francine was eliminated in 3rd place.

#2: DJ – I didn't always have DJ planned to be the runner-up for this story, as that spot originally belonged to Patrick, but after thinking it over, I decided that DJ would've been the better runner-up for this story due to how things ended up for poor DJ in Total Drama World Tour. Similar to how Damien would've ended up being the runner-up in Clown Princess Phoebe's Chris' Air Aboard story, had it taken off, I decided that DJ being the runner-up for this story would be a great way to wrap up the redemption arc he would've had going on in this story.

#1: Vivian – Given that Vivian was the main character of the story, I think it'd only make sense for her to end up winning the whole thing. It would've been a great way to complete the goal I wanted to achieve by writing this story in the first place; Portraying Vivian in a positive light to the SYOC community. But as I've said, given that I revamped Vivian into an entirely new character and bit off more than I could chew when it comes to Total Drama stories, I didn't have anymore motivation to continue working on this story. But don't worry, once I've gotten a bit more work done on the Total Drama stories that aren't going to be cancelled, I might end up doing a new story with Vivian's original self so that her original self can still be portrayed in a positive light.

So yeah, that's the entire elimination order for this story. Like with Crossover Island and Patriots, I hope this makes up for the cancellation of this story, and I might end up giving the majority of the contestants in this story a new role in a future OC-centric story of mine once the other OC-centric stories I'm working on have been taken care of. But for the time being, I think I should focus on finishing the rest of my Total Drama stories before I can worry about starting any new ones. Thanks for the support on this story, Total Drama fans, and hopefully you'll continue to support my other works! – Alexneushoorn
