While I genuinely like the middle name of Luna for Harry's daughter (See chapter 3), this chapter offers an AU with a different middle name.

Harry Potter knew that his Aunt Petunia had one major regret.

Petunia had fallen out with her sister Lily when Lily was eleven because she was jealous of Lily's magic and their parents had favored Lily with Lily lapping up the attention. There was legitimate blame on both sides, but the bottom line was the close bond the Evans sisters once enjoyed broke once Lily had gone to Hogwarts.

Lily, who was Harry's mom, had died to protect him. Lily had sacrificed herself by refusing to step aside for Voldemort to kill Harry even when Voldemort was willing to spare her.

Lily had died without the Evans sisters having ever reconciled and Harry knew that this fact haunted Aunt Petunia.

Harry could vividly remember what Aunt Petunia had told him on the night they had parted ways: "You didn't just lose a mother that night in Godric's Hollow. I lost a sister."

This quote had stuck with Harry as it had really put in perspective for Harry how deeply hurt Aunt Petunia had been that her sister had died estranged from her.

Harry knew that Aunt Petunia deeply regretted her broken relationship with Lily, and he knew that she was tormented by the fact that Petunia and Lily would never be able to talk things out and reestablish a relationship.

These thoughts were at the forefront of Harry's mind as he thought about how he would name his daughter.

Harry never had any doubt that he would give his daughter the first name of Lily after the mother who had sacrificed herself for him and saved the Potter line in the process.

But, up to this point, he hadn't thought much about the middle name he would bestow upon his daughter.

However, his daughter was due in a fortnight, and it was time for him to make a decision on the matter.

What would be the best middle name to pair with the first name of Lily?

Harry sat in his bathtub as the bubbles and hot water washed over him.

Harry reflected on Lily's life and then it came to him: He should give his daughter the middle name of Lily so that her full name would be Lily Petunia Potter.

It was the perfect tribute to Lily.

Lily and Petunia back together again, even if only in a name with the last name Potter reflecting the line Lily had saved.

Petunia had never exactly treated Harry very well, but Harry had forgiven her after learning her backstory.

Perhaps if Lily had lived, Petunia would have reconciled with her once they were into adulthood a bit.

Petunia's jealousy over Lily having magic when she didn't was petty, but understandable for a child.

Perhaps they'd have made up when both had grown up and matured a bit. It was impossible to know now.

By naming his daughter Lily Petunia, Harry was both expressing his forgiveness for Petunia while bringing the Evans sisters back together if only in the small way of name.

Lily and Petunia side by side as first and middle name represented the kind of relationship they should have had and perhaps could have reestablished if Lily had lived longer.

Harry knew that it would mean a lot to Aunt Petunia to have her name and her sister's name side by side in the name of Harry's daughter.

Harry's heart glowed with warmth as thought of the day that Lily Petunia Potter would come into the world.

"Mom, and Aunt Petunia," said Harry to himself with his insides filling up, "This is for you two. My daughter shall bear the name Lily Petunia Potter."

The next chapter will show Harry informing Petunia of his decision as he will make sure she is first to know.
