• 2 Months Later:
It was shocking how fast the Goblins worked. It only took them a day to transfer the entire "Signal Wave", into books. With those books being neatly organized by relevant information. Along with the enchantment to immediately transfere all knowledge to whoever opened them.
Harry loved magic. He was still marveled by the things it could do. Although, apparently, that enchantment was very expensive... costing more then most manors, just to make one. However the Goblins thought, in this case, making an entire library's worth of these books was worth it.
Thanks to that, it only took the Goblins a few weeks to convert all theories of space flight, into much safer magical enchantments.
And, as of Today, the wizarding world and muggle world would literally be separated into two worlds.
The planet was too badly damaged, from centuries of the muggles polluting it... so the Goblins figured it was best to leave.
They used their magics, combined with Alliance technologies and theories, to convert the moon into a giant space station.
Under the moons surface, were thousands of decks worth of artificial environments. Each level Terraformed for a different race. Over a mile high, with a ceiling enchanted to look like the moon's Sky. With ports for Space Ships, just under the ceiling, while there were docks in each city, on each deck.
The moon had been hollowed out, by the Goblins compressing 10s of thousands of tons of rock. Using that to make the large decks, with mile high ceilings, and make the inside sturdy enough to support it all. While simultaneously mining out all the Moon's precious metals, then adding them to their own vaults.
The middle Deck, as the longest and most well protected, held the bank. With Goblins living on the Decks both directly under it, and above it.
The Wizards got the third largest deck, in the upper levels, while the Warlocks got the third largest deck, in the lower levels.
Then the bottom Deck, where the ground was most round, held an impressive ocean, where the merfolk lived.
While the top most deck held the techno magic engine room, manned mostly by Goblins.
Each deck was separated into various cities, complimented by their own Magical farms. Each shaped like a shrine, no bigger then a telephone booth, but holding miles of land inside. One growing Potions ingredients. Another growing magical minerals, called "Lyrium". Another growing their own precious metals, on fields of vines. And the last... obviously growing food.
However the food farms were perhaps the most bizarre. As they grew every kind of food imaginable. Including meats and candies. And could produce multiple harvest a day, while the foods never spoiled.
These magical plants were created through alchemy magics, by the Dryad. A race of forest Nymphs, that looked like humanoid trees. They used their magicks to create most of these wonderful plants,
The Goblins contracted the Dryad, having them do the actual work, of Terraforming each level, and giving each city their own farms.
As for the Surface, itself, it was covered in space ports, and massive weapons, miles long.
It was all Terraformed, in only 2 weeks, where it normally took years. The gravity was now Earth norm, with a breathable atmosphere. The sky also gave off it's own sun light, that dimmed at night.
The Goblins then moved various magical buildings here, for a price. Such as: the Ministry, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, family homes and manors, magical forest and other mystical environments, and even Hogwarts, as well as the equivalent for the other wizarding countries. Each one being turned into a decent sized city, for their own country. With the excuse of natural disasters destroying where they used to be.
Even the poorer families, or the disliked muggle borns, had their homes moved up here... and were often given their own cities.
The wards even kept out everything from asteroids, to supernovas. In fact, only ships with special ruins, could even get through the wards.
Harry, and in fact most of the magical world's population, were sitting on the gray dirt of the surface... watching New Earth get further and further away.
Harry felt... pretty lousy they were just leaving the muggles to fend for themselves. Thanks to the invisibility charms, on the Magical Fireflies, the muggles never even noticed that millions of beings were leaving the planet.
Harry was grateful that Mal sold his own blueprints of Alliance technology, to various muggle companies.
The moon slowly broke from orbit. That would undoubtedly have some effects on the planet. Not to mention the tides. The Muggles were going to struggle to adjust. However, humans were an adaptable species.
Harry hoped they'd make it.
The Overseer was busy reading over the reports about the integration of the squibs.
Squibs were wizards and witches born without magic. However, even squib lines had the potential to have magical kids. In fact, that's where all muggle born wizards came from. Squibs that, when they didn't get their letter to a magical school, were cast out of their pure blood families. There minds erased of all things magic, and left at the doorsteps of an orphanage.
The Goblins were merely fixing that wrong, by creating cities of humans, blessed with Goblin magics.
The Goblins kept records of all Squib lines, and refused to leave their future magicals to the mercies of the muggles. So all squibs, living as muggles, were tracked down by the Goblins, and promptly kidnapped. They were forced to drink the Magic Blesser, their memories altered, and then deposited in their own deck, on the moon's surface.
Although few people, outside the Goblins, knew that's what they did. The wizards believed these, former, squibs were actually a Wizard subspecies. With magics that were only Similar to Goblin Mages.
After all, that's what the former squibs remembered, and what they told the Wizards... so as far as anyone knew, it was true.
The overseer took every precaution. None would discover the deception, not even the former squibs. Now called "Warlocks". Thankfully, Wizards already had myths about Goblin like "Warlocks"... based on those that were treated with the Magic Blesser.
If wizards refused to share their wands with Goblins, Goblins saw no need to share even the existence of such a thing as the Magic Blesser. Besides, it was mostly muggles, ironically, that had earned such respect.
The Squibs, nor their future children, deserved to suffer under the muggles, without a ministry to protect them. So the Overseer did what he felt he had to... even put compensation in new vaults, for the "Warlocks", for the inconvenience of uprooting their lives, and brainwashing them... The Overseer believed it was a fair trade.
He also put each of them in their dream job, with knowledge needed to Master such fields. Needless to say, "Warlocks" specialized in techno magic, the sciences, and the arts. With armies of House elves to deal with everything else.
Even the Elves believed their families also belonged to the Warlocks.
The Overseer smiled, believing he successfully crossed every "t" and dotted every "i". After all... this wasn't the first time Goblin's changed the landscape.
The statue of secrecy would never have gotten off the ground, if it wasn't for Goblins. Nor would the muggles realize THEY were proof of Aliens.
Too bad he couldn't do anything about the squibs that already had muggle born children. Although he had ignored the Ministry, and brought them all too the moon. He just couldn't risk giving them magic. They were currently living in the muggle born cities. Along with many first generation Squibs, that's families didn't completely reject them.
Mal had to admit... he didn't know what he was getting into. The Goblins had done the impossible, and turned an entire world into a space ship... and apparently made him and his crew citizens of it.
He didn't know how he was going to make a living, but with the Potter vault he never had to take a job again... apparently... the Potters were billionaires.
Mal did the honorable thing, and split the money with each of his crew. Including the unofficial ones, like Shepard and Inara.
He also created a "High Yield Interest Account", where his gold would be generating interest, in exchange for agreeing not to touch the lump some he deposited. There was a 25% fee, on the interest, but that didn't hurt him much. As the vault was enchanted, to permanently duplicate the Gold inside, once a month. So he put 100 Million in there, to pay both the Goblins, And give his crew a salary. So they no longer had to worry about doing jobs to eat... but what's life without work.
Any future jobs they got, would have the whole payment added to this vault, to permanently increase the Crew's Salary... and maybe hire on more crew.
Even after that, he still had 5 million galleons to his name. Which was worth 20 billion alliance credits.
Not that he would ever return to Alliance Space. The Goblins didn't even want to deal with them, so Mal truly had no need. The Goblins had even agreed to be the ones to get Kaylee's and Jayne's families... as they were the only ones who still had family.
It was part of the deal, when Mal sold them Serenity's blue prints. He didn't so much get cash for that, as a long list of favors and goods. Of course, given what a fortune he got, by agreeing to become a "Goblin Ally", he didn't exactly need more money.
A "Magic Class" Firefly, had already been sent out to get their families. And it didn't matter the moon was going in the opposite direction, as there was a "Recall" button, to teleport the ship back into the docking bay... Mal's ship had that too... he needed to get used to the idea, this rock was his home now.
And Inara was fully embracing that.
"The Japanese have a similar guild to Companions, called Geishas," Inara explained to Dudley. As the little boy cried, and begged her not to go... Mal was secretly hoping the boy succeeded.
The whole crew was currently standing in front of Serenity, with all Inara's things in a single magic suit case. Which was resting on the "mule" (a small, offroad, jeep).
"They even hold the same level of respect as Companions. They are eager to learn from me, as I them."
"Please don't go," Dudley cried. Not exactly behaving like a 12 year old, but maybe there was a cultural difference between their worlds. "You can't leave me with these people."
Inara sighed getting on her knees, and hugging the child. "Mal isn't all that bad Sweetie, he won't hurt you."
"He killed my Mummy!" Dudley cried, and Mal flinched.
The gruff Captain certainly hadn't realized the kids would be so upset by that... they were terrible people after all... but they were still their parents. Harry was definitely handling it better. But Mal could tell, even that boy was conflicted... maybe...
Mal did the right thing, "Dudley and Harry only have to live with each other, for 2 weeks out of the year... If you want... we can arrange a joint custody kinda thing."
Inara froze, looking up at Mal.
The gruff outlaw sighed. Hating that he caved into the right thing, verses what he wanted. But it wouldn't be fair to try to use the child to guilt Inara into staying... especially since, "The kid is going to be miserable with us... and he certainly will never trust us. He's better off with you. Maybe you could even teach him to be a companion." Mal couldn't help smirk at the idea of such an ugly guy as a Companion.
Companions didn't really start getting involved in anything sexual, until they turned 16. And that just covered more detailed sex ed classes. So Mal wasn't really concerned about the boy getting molested or anything. Inara would never allow that.
The, absolutely gorgeous, woman stood up. Picking up the fat child with her... just how she was strong enough, Mal couldn't figure.
She stepped over to Mal, looking at him with shock... and a little awe. "I never could figure you out." She gently kissed the smuggler's cheek. Then turned to leave, taking the boy with her... then... she stopped. Looking back, "We'll be back next summer." she promised. Before sitting on the mule, and allowing Wash to drive her into the distance.
