Griphook sat in his office, as the heads of the Weasley Family sat at the other side of the desk.
The couple, being parents themselves, sat in horror, as Griphook told them all Harry had endured. How the boy was forced to labor like a house elf, while being treated even worse. Including the child's rescue by a seer, who heard his pleas from across the stars.
"It was likely a flare of accidental magic, combined with how intune Lady Tam is," Griphook explained. "We are fortunate she was able to convince her ship's Captain to change course."
Arthur Weasley clarified, "This is the same Alien Captain that sold you Space travel? Not many of those around, I imagine."
"Yes," Griphook played on that. Lord Reynolds had made it clear he wanted this Family as Allies. As Harry was close friends with their children. "He has done a lot to help the magical world. Including rescuing our savior."
Molly was conflicted, but had to admit. "I knew they were neglecting the boy,"
She knew that from the moment she saw him trying to board the train to school. The boy was far too skinny, in clothes far too big. Even with Molly's poverty, she made sure her children had full bellies, and warm clothes that fit. That boy was dressed in rags, clearly falling apart, and held together by pins.
She had asked her youngest son to look after the boy, though didn't tell him her suspicions. The fact the child was later revealed to be Harry Potter... well there was just no reason someone with his wealth should be dressed like that. The boy was clearly being neglected. Although Albus dismissed her concerns. But he couldn't stop her from sending the boy a new Wardrobe, which she knitted herself.
"If I had known everything they had done..." Molly trailed off, then forced herself to acknowledge. "I probably would have killed them myself." she was a fierce little lioness, herself.
Griphook gave a firm, almost relieved, nod. "Captain Reynolds will be pleased to hear you don't hold, how he went about his rescue, against him."
Molly frowned, "Why should that matter to him?"
"He's heard much about you, from Heir Potter," Griphook explained. "And hopes to cultivate the relationship between your children... as well as give the boy more protection from Albus Dumbledore."
Molly gaped, "What's he have against the Headmaster?"
Griphook scowled, knowing this part would be difficult. "Because Dumbledore has been manipulating that child's life, since a prophecy was uttered. Stating that child would save the wizarding world.
"I was the Potters' account manager. As such, they trusted me with a great many things. Like their newborn son being targeted by the Dark Lord, and why."
He then told the humans of the Prophecy, that Harry would vanquish the Dark Lord... or die by his hand. And all the things Dumbledore had done to insure it comes to pass.
Such as refusing to let the Goblins remove the slither of Voldemort's soul, from the child. Which Captain Reynolds had allowed. Then intentionally placing the child with abusive relatives, so he would be easier to mold. Even how the child was manipulated to go after the stone, as a type of training exercise. And the worst crime of all-
"Sirius Black is INNOCENT!!!" Molly gaped.
Sirius Black, Harry's godfather. The man everyone knew betrayed the family to Voldemort. Leading to the deaths of Lily and James Potter, and leaving Harry an orphan... wasn't the one to betray them.
Griphook sighed, "It was my idea to use someone else as Secret Keeper." There was a powerful ritual, that could hide a location. With the Secret Keeper being the only one who could reveal the location. "I even warned them to obliviate who told the secret, from the minds of all who were told."
The Goblin hung his head in shame. "When I told Dumbledore this... he did worse then nothing. He used his power, as Supreme Mugwump, to forbid me from speaking it. Only now, that the Goblins have regained our power, can I disregard that.
"I don't know what Dumbledore's plan is... but Harry growing up in a loving home wasn't part of it."
• Present Day:
Ron was sitting in his estate, just looking at all his family's houses. Bill and Charlie had moved their homes in here, as well. With the new Floo network, near instant transportation, to anywhere on, or in, the moon, was a thing.
Instead of reestablishing the connection, in everyone's home, each city was given a type of hub port. Where dozens of fireplaces were connected, by way of magical fire, as gateways to all other cities. Even ones under the surface.
From their, people were flying more on broom sticks. Without muggles, at least ones out of the know, magic was being practiced much more openly.
And Hermione wouldn't shut up about it. She was sitting next to him, rambling on and on, about the public floo network. And how everyone was riding brooms everywhere. She didn't even LIKE brooms.
Ron decided to finally shut her up, with something that's actually important. "I'm worried about Harry." He blurted out.
Hermione instantly went quiet. Just looked at Ron, waiting for the boy to say more.
"My parents have been hiding the Newspaper from us, but the twins managed to sneak a copy..."
Hermione frowned, watching as Ron pulled out a clipping. The headline caused her to gasp.
It read: "The Boy Who Lived to be Abused."
