AN: Short Chapter.

Chapter 4

Naruto stared at the burning paperwork with a good bit of self-satisfaction. These were the requests that were either a waste of time or made literally no sense. He would have to talk with some of the people who submitted them face to face. He didn't like having his time wasted.

"How did Granny and the old man deal with this crap?" Naruto groaned. "No way they didn't punch some of these people once or twice."

Two and a half months in and things were going well enough although he was on guard due to recent events.

"Going after Sasuke Uchiha is a waste of resources and possibly lives." Naruto said. "We have more important things to worry about, one rogue shinobi can wait." – "Besides, I can find him anytime I want."

This wasn't a lie since he did know where Sasuke and his allies were located. They were currently taking out the Root hideouts outside the village; they needed to weaken Danzo's forces as much as possible. Especially since he had started to notice.

"Rokudaime-san, is it possible you're allowing your personal feelings to cloud your judgment?" Danzo asked. "Your friendship–"

"My personal feelings hold no sway over my decision to ignore him for the time being." The blonde retorted. "Akatsuki has yet to make a move, we're not prepared for another attack from someone stronger than Pain, we're still trying to build closer relations with our allies for future generations, and I have yet to receive requests that aren't a waste of my time."

Danzo was silent.

"Look, Sasuke Uchiha will be dealt with when I see fit to eliminate him, and all you need to know is that I already have a plan in place to end him."

This wasn't a lie either since he did have a backup plan in case his best friend betrayed him. Of course Danzo didn't need to know what said plan was.

"Now, leave."

It was clear that Danzo wanted Sasuke for something, but Naruto didn't know what. What's more, that man was planning something, and something told him that things were about to get dangerous. It was a gut feeling that Danzo wasn't the only annoyance that would plague his mind.

Standing up, he looked out the window and to the cloudy sky. It looked like it was going to rain soon, but it smelled like snow. Snow was a rare phenomenon in the Land of Fire, rare to the point where they were usually taken off guard by it. So this was very strange in Naruto's mind.

"Maybe I'm just being paranoid, safe above I hope I'm being paranoid." he said.

Moments later it began to snow. Now he really hoped that he was just being paranoid. If this was some kind of sign then he wasn't getting it.

Moments later he sensed something that caught his immediate attention. The natural energy around him seemed to twist, and converge onto his location. Specifically around him.

'They're coming!'

Naruto fell to his knees whilst clutching his head in pain. This voice was so loud and invading that even the Kyubi was screaming in pain. Something was invading his mind and the seal, something powerful.

His rinnegan activated, and his vision was no longer that of Konoha. Instead, he saw something massive, and made of metal. In the distance were stars as it sailed through a dark void. Inside were creatures whose appearance appeared like that of something from a horror movie. They had weapons he didn't recognize, and advanced technology.

He couldn't understand what they said to each other, but there was hostility in their voice. And their destination was a world, his world. His vision returned to normal, and he was horrified.

Six days

"Hey, did you–"

'Yes, yes I saw it!'

"I think we're about to fight for our lives."

Naruto slowly stood up just in time for his bodyguards to burst in.

"Hokage-sama, are you alright?!" Boar quickly ran over to help the blonde up.

"I'd be lying if I said that I was fine." he chuckled. "I'm calling for an emergency council meeting, get everyone, even that parasite."

"Parasite, you mean Danzo?"

Naruto nodded. After making sure that their Hokage was alright, everyone except Cat left.

"Yuago, soon we'll face an enemy that will change the way we see our world."

"Such an enemy exists?"

"Yes." He said pointing to the sky. "And, we've only got six days until they arrive."

He took a deep breath.

"I need a message delivered to the Kazekage, the leadership in Amegakure, and Princess Koyuki." – "Tell them that there's going to be an emergency."

Yuago nodded before disappearing.

'What are you going to tell them?'

"The truth." he said.

There was only so much he could hide from people, and this was something he could afford to hold back. If they wanted to survive then they would have to stand together or else, they would all fall.

1 Hour Later – Konoha – Council Chambers

A prank by their young Hokage, that's what they wanted this to be. After all, an enemy from the stars sounded like something from a bad movie. Then the blonde showed them the rinnegan, and things become complicated. Naruto had the same eyes as the person who attacked, and nearly destroyed the village.

According to him, Pain or Nagato had told him about Madara, and the Uzumaki scrolls. Not to mention it explained why Amegakure was so willing to listen to Konoha. Konan was leading them so that was good news.

"Let's say that this threat arrives in six days like you're saying, what happens afterwards?" Shikaku asked. "We'll have taken down an enemy who is equipped with technology much more advanced than what we have."

"And their defeat will give us access to their technology which might be useful to us." Naruto said. "Surrendering won't be an option, I assure you all that this is going to be life or death."

Life or death with no room to surrender. All shinobi had experienced such situations before, but this was different. This was the first time they would face a foe like this. And, it won't be the last time.
