Chapter 37: A Family's Dilemma

Rhima needs to know more from Jin since he was the only person who knows about the entire incident within his world. Knowingly, that it was Kazuya and G Corporation was behind the entire war and its global domination.

"So it was Mr. Mishima was behind this global war. No wonder when I arrived in New York City by time travelling is already in ruins. And that's when you fought him right from the beginning."

"He is... Operation Lightning was already commenced when I already confronted him personally." Jin said telling her and sighs. "But he was right about what I've done before. I started this global war when I was the head of the Zaibatsu at the time and I made many casualties on that war. I already told you that I do this for filling with negative energy to make Azazel in its physical form and I killed it with my own two hands using my devil powers."

"You may kill Azazel with your own two hands until you got comatose." Rhima said knowing about what Jin had previously done and she remembers her encounter with Zafina. "I saw Zafina has a demonic left arm."

"What!?"

"You may knew her that she was the tomb defender and she was the one who sealed Azazel's spirit within her body after you destroyed it." Rhima said telling him. Jin was horribly shocked and despite his failure to be freed from his Devil Gene, Azazel's spirit still lives.

"I can't believe it... I destroyed his physical being and its spirit still lives..."

"However, she almost attacked me with her left arm. Seeing that her left hand can't controlled it if she uses too much of Azazel's power." Rhima informs Jin about Zafina's current state and Jin knows how dangerous Zafina is when she uses her powers and soon changes the subject and tells her about what his father Kazuya had done to their world.

"What Kazuya had done here in our world, was global domination and he wants to take over the entire world with his own two hands. This is the reason both Lars and Victor within their respective groups have join forces to fight him and G Corporation as well as the fighters who wanted to participate in the eighth tournament he had announced for personal reasons."

"..."

"Rhima-san, let's meet up at the forest outskirts of this building where I found you. I just don't like if either Lars, Lee, Xiao, or other people including your uncle would even heard me talking about this current incident happened to all of us."

Back in the Metro as they have parted ways after Jang-geum was defeated by Hunyo and neutralizing his threat, it became clear that their world was finally back to normal. Hunyo remembers about Kazuya's last evil taunt on him and proceeding his plan to thwart the mission he gave to Rhima. He tries to contact Rhima with her personal cellphone since it was still connected between their world and the World of Tekken. As Rhima receives a call from him, Marissa arrives to see him and becoming angered at his actions.

"Hunyo, is it true that you let Rhima go to a different place?"

"Marissa..."

"So it was true... What are you thinking, Hunyo? You put our daughter in danger again like you did last time. I'm sick and tired of getting our daughter be endangered!?" Marissa scowled angrily over Hunyo's way of thinking as he replies in depression.

"The way you speak to me is like how me and Lee are having a massive arguments over my horrible decisions."

"..."

"Yeah it's true... I sent her to the World of Tekken to restore the broken link between our world and theirs. But I realized that it was a very dangerous mission because of Kazuya and G Corporation and they're going to prevent her from finishing that mission I gave her." Hunyo admitted sadly.

"It's just like what happened in Bangkok where you forced to fight those guys to the death. You're not my old husband who truly cares so much for our family." Marissa cried remorsefully over Hunyo and walks away crying.

Hunyo became frustrated and angry because of Kazuya and his current plot.

Rhima overhears their conversation since her mother was very doting towards her when she was a kid. Roderick arrives to see her and wants to cheer her up.

"You look upset again. I thought you already speak with the Japanese mestizo."

"He wanted to speak to me about this whole incident and he knows that his father Mr. Mishima and G Corporation are behind the global war and he made a global domination here in their world." Rhima said and became calm to her uncle. "I think he wants to speak with me in private because he doesn't like me getting hurt from someone else. With the looks of it, everyone including Mr. Lee have involved on this global war games he had made."

"Hmmm... I want to ask you something. I saw you were so sad when I came in. Is there a problem?"

"It's my parents..." Rhima said and becoming dismay to her mother Marissa in her native language. "Si mama, pinagalitan si papa dahil dito." (My mom scolds my dad because of this.)

"I've never seen your mother would hit so hard when she learns you were in their game world. I guess Hunyo might be upset so badly."

"I heard what they were saying... but dad was filled with sadness and regret just like me. I'd say that Mr. Mishima had given him a last evil taunt on him." Rhima said noticing how her father was very upset.

"I think he has reasons to call you because he wanted to surprise you. He already defeated the bomb terrorist who bombed Silveria Corporation and he saved the Philippines from a terrorist attack attempt." Roderick said knowing of Hunyo's actions and Rhima sees this.

"You maybe right..."

"So where are you going now? It's my duty to accompany you." Roderick asked which Rhima calmly refused.

"I can do this myself, uncle Roddy. Now I've learned that their world is more complicated and chaos."

At the cafeteria, Rhima stares on her dinner food after overhearing about her parents since Hunyo had forgot to hung off his cellphone. She looked at Jin who is with Hwoarang and Xiaoyu are having a dinner conversation as she thought.

It's just like at my world, I always sociable to my own friends. Since Jin is becoming more sociable to his rival and friends in his world, it was completely different than the last time. I guess that I really like to move on from him. Besides, I had nothing to do with him. Like Kikay said, there's a lot of men are fish in the sea.

"Smarty lady!"

Rhima shockingly gasps when Reina was here to see her which she evilly smirks on her.

"You looks so scared after I called you that nickname."

"Can't you at least, be act normally!?" Rhima said while annoying raising her brow and Reina looked to see Jin, Hwoarang and Xiaoyu and she evilly states.

"Hmmm... you're being observant, to Jin-senpai are you?"

"It's none of my business... this is his way. And I need to do it my way..." Rhima said coldly to Reina which she delightfully smiles.

"You were lucky if it wasn't for Jin-senpai to warn me about you. And I have reasons that I spared you from my mistreatment to my opponents including my own evil antics. You are the smarty ass person I've ever met."

"..."

"I want to know what it feels to live in the real world. I heard a lot of grown men are talking about visiting that place." Reina said showing her desire on going to the real world and pleads Rhima. "Please, smarty lady... I need to know what it looks like."

"It was just like in this world." Rhima answered in a sigh and tells her. "The only difference between the two worlds is that my world was very peaceful and quiet and I live an everyday life. But here, it's filled with complications and chaos and why Mr. Mishima would even go so far to make a global domination here."

"You have a point." Reina said and soon changes the subject. "You're always sulking when you get some food. Is there a problem?"

"It's my parents... My mom was very homesick since I was not around at my world and she angrily blames my dad for it." Rhima said showing her problems with her parents and Reina had a suggestion.

"Why don't you live individually. You're already a grown person just like Jin-senpai. I maybe a high schooler, I need more knowledge about other things."

When Rhima decided to leave, Jin looked to see her sad when Reina speaks to her and seeing her personal problems.

As soon as everyone is asleep, Rhima decided to find Jin since he told her to meet him at the forest outskirts. She remembers when he gave her the last test by overcoming her fear of his devil form. She also finds Reina's suggestion was right since she hasn't with her parents as she had thought.

Reina was right about her suggestions... I've been living individually after I moved from my house to a condominium. My dad asked me if I can live a solo life which I agreed upon. I guess that I have to meet up with Jin at the forest outskirts where he gave me one final test to overcome my fear of his devil side.

Rhima gets up and takes her cellphone and leave to find Jin. As the room are all closed, she noticed that Jin's assigned room was open. She checks on his room and to see the picture of both herself and him. She knew that it was the same picture they had taken pictures at the shopping mall during their very first date as she had thought.

Jin was like me in many ways; girls are crazy over his physical appearance while in my case, boys are crazy over my beauty and intelligence. I think about when Hwoarang and Xiaoyu are speaking to him, he was indifferent. When he was speaking to Mr. Lee or Lars or maybe Alisa, he can barely speak to them and he can speak to them when he was in a very serious situation. It was weird for him because we're from different worlds and he's the only guy who ended up falling for me. I guess that he just went out of this building first.

As soon as Rhima gets out of the building, she was observed by Reina until Lee caught her off on time.

"You keep on eye at Rhima-san, young lady."

"What the hell!? How did you know that I was here observing the smarty lady? I demand to know."

"I went to get some milk and I've seen you tried to follow Rhima-san for petty reasons." Lee said smirking causing Reina to glare at him.

"I like to follow her because I still need more knowledge from her."

"Hmmm... you mean to say going to the real world. How would you go there if the link between their world and ours are still broken?" Lee said knowing about Rhima's mission and Reina makes a request for him.

"Uhm, silver dude... I need a favor to say this to you."

"Before you say it... I already came prepared and I see through your behavior is just like my adopted father would act." Lee evilly smirks as he shows Hachi on his right hand which is a Combot Grenade resembling Heihachi, much to Reina's horrible shock.

"You... What!?"

"If you want to see Rhima-san then I would accompany you to find her. But if you do something that would annoy me. Hachi might even blow you away, right." Lee said while threatening Reina if she do something that would annoy him as his grenade speaks.

"Yes, master."

Reina was annoyed over his threats and she was left with no choice but to be accompany by him.

At the forest outskirts, Rhima opens her flashlight from her cellphone and seeing he was not there, much to her dismay.

"I really don't like surprises. Much like how you do it in the last test you gave me."

No one respond when she speaks and decided to leave the area.

"We're not night crawlers here. It was a waste of time to meet you here. I'd better go back."

Rhima stopped for a moment she sensed someone's presence and she clenches her fist. She attempts to make a punch on the unsuspected presence.

"Nice punch you got there, Rhima-san."

Rhima was surprised to see the unsuspected person was none other than Jin who remains in his sleepwear wearing both a white tank top and black trousers with gray linings with two red trims and black sandals as he blocked her punch.

"I would expect you tried to ambush me from behind. It's like I knocked your face if you tried to peek on me." Rhima reacted angrily on his actions and Jin sees her behavior.

"I've seen your sad look on your face when you spoke to Reina. Is there a problem?"

"It's my parents and my mom is very homesick and she scolds my dad for my disappearance." Rhima answered sadly and became disappointed by her actions. "I overheard their commotion just as my dad wanted to speak with me in the phone."

"You were so lucky, Rhima-san... your parents are always looking up to you. But for me, my parents are much more in a broken complex and I'm more closer to my mother than Kazuya who is currently my enemy and I also care for my uncles too." Jin said calmly to her and Rhima replies.

"I guess my dad wanted to tell me the good news but it was disrupted by my mom. He wanted to surprise me because he just beat the bomb terrorist and clears the whole threat at my world."

"Since we're just the two of us. Now is the right time to tell you everything. So that I wanted you to ease up your stresses." Jin said in a deep tone of his voice and knowing that he has more problems than she is. "The truth is that I'm more problematic than you. Because of the things that I had went through that whole ordeal."

"This is what I wanted to know from you, Jin. How did this happen on your world? After all, you lost to Mr. Mishima from getting overpowered on that deadly fight."

"It will be long story to tell, Rhima-san... not just what I told you about our fight with Kazuya in the beginning. It was global domination that Kazuya had done into our world and my real experiences here on that whole ordeal." Jin said while closing his eyes and Rhima decided to stay with him and to listen to him about the entire story had happened to him.

*Rhima's conversation with Reina is similar to both Danhausen and RJ City's conversation within show segments and some episodes in AEW's Hey EW!

*Lee's actions to Reina is how he's trying to get revenge on his adopted father Heihachi Mishima throughout the Tekken games.

*The color scheme of Jin's sleepwear starting from this chapter is the color scheme from his main outfit in Tekken 8.

*Jin reveals to Rhima that he has more problems than she is due to his entire battle experiences in Tekken 8's Story Mode.
