First of all, I'm sorry for the long summary, but I think it is important.
Hey everyone, I am FriendlyMushroom, and I love DC superheroes. I grew up reading the comics from the 90's. My first comic was, weirdly enough, Crisis on Infinite Earths #8, not the best first comic if you ask me, but Flash was my favorite superhero and I just bought that comic because he was in the cover, and then he died. Well, not the greatest first approach to the comic book world.
But after reading that first comic, I was left in the shoes of Wally West as the Flash, and he introduced me to Nightwing, and Nightwing introduced me to the Teen Titans, and at the same time Flash introduced me to Kyle Rayner, who also filled the shoes of other Green Lanterns. And over many reboots, reinterpretations, AU, direct to video, movies, and many more, I began sensing something… a total disrespect to the true origins of some of the characters.
I mean, every now and then there is a good animated series, or a good movie, but most of the time they do yet another reboot, and I got no issues with reboots, heck, I'm about to write my own, but with each passing reboot there are more and more issues, and most of them resolve on the same aspect, a deep fear of letting go.
What do I mean? It's simple, as I mentioned earlier my first comic was Crisis on Infinite Earths #8, so I got no time to get to know Barry Allen (the Flash in that comic). Instead I grew up with Wally West, but he always spoke of the Legacy, of his mentor, so I wanted to know more about this mentor, and looked for comics he took part on (back then the internet was not what it is today). Something similar happened when I discovered (because I didn't know), that Nightwing was the first Robin, and when I found out Kyle was the last of the Green Lantern and Parallax was the second one, my mind blew up.
What I mean is, one "Legacy" character, opened a whole new world of characters for me. And DC comics seemed to understand that characters weren't forever, they grow up, they live, they die, they get replaced, in the good way. Somewhere in the middle, they brought Barry Allen back, Richard Grayson was no longer Batman, and Hal Jordan was Green Lantern again, and time later there was a reboot, and everything just grew more and more confusing. Currently, DC comics is a disaster, no one buys the comics, people argue in the forums about the DCEU or DCU, and are just waiting for the Superman Legacy movie just to destroy it without even watching it. Whatever happened to DC comics and how much in meant to some of us, was stripped because of the fear of letting their characters age.
A few days ago, my wife suddenly decided she wanted to watch the Teen Titans, not GO, just the Teen Titans. And it brought back very fond memories. Teen Titans wasn't perfect, it was goofy, but serious at the same time. There was a deep story, and stupid but funny filler episodes. We watched the whole series together, and I felt like a child again. Then we ran out of episodes and I thought, maybe the GO vs Teen Titans movie is good, I mean, they got the classic ones there… it wasn't… I mean, it wasn't bad either, but there was an implied disrespect to everything that once was. I'm not against new stuff, but why bashing the old?
Then I watched Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 1. Who thought this was a good idea? If you are writing a story, you need to make sure everyone understands it. Crisis part one was hard to understand, even for me who read the original comic. But it brought the promise of yet another reboot.
So, after thinking about it for a while, I told to myself that maybe there are still DC fans out there, feed up with the current DC, and want an escape. So I made a plan. There are many DC comics stories that deserve to be told, but you need a lot of knowledge to understand them. So maybe I can tell you people that story, in a different way, using my very own reboot to tell these stories.
And that brings us here, to my very own reboot of the Teen Titans, and not just the Teen Titans, but de Justice League. I want to tell you a story, through the eyes of a 90s kid. About the Teen Titans climbing their way into becoming part of the greatest team of superheroes in DC: The Justice League.
In this first story of a series of stories I am planning to write, each one having a different Teen Titan as protagonist, we will have Starfire and Blackfire being the main characters, alongside the Green Lantern Corps. I will try to make the story as understandable as possible, and I will be telling you these main DC storylines fixed to fit in an AU Teen Titans story:
-Crisis on Infinite Earths (The epilogue).
-Citadel War.
-The New Teen Titans.
-Tamaran Lost.
-Emerald Twilight.
-Zero Hour.
-The Final Night.
-Green Lantern Rebirth.
-Sinestro Corp War.
-Rann-Thanagar War (maybe).
-The war of light.
I truly hope you enjoy it.
Epilogue:
Antimatter Universe.
Everything shall come to an end in due time. Everything shall always return to nothingness. Yet, such nothingness can always be postponed. It has happened many times before, without the knowledge of the wide majority of the universe, or multiverses, ever finding it out. Gods, alien forces, interdimensional demons and entities all had gazed into the eyes of the nothingness and prevented it one way or another. Yet, for some reason, there is always one being, one human, who not only stops nothingness over and over again, but got the power to reset it. How many times had it happened before? Only the nothingness knows, and the nothingness is getting really feed up of it continuing to happen. Why can't reality just let go? Why it refuses to be consumed by her? No matter the heralds she chooses, nothingness just never arrives, and it is always because of him.
-I… I haven't got long before I'm too powerless to stop it… -the man dressed in red with the lighting logo on his chest over a white circle. He always interferes, and nothingness is already tired of him-. Trouble is, I know what is going to happen to me if I'm successful. But I have no choice. More than my life is at stake –with a sonic boom it all starts anew, the red costumed one runs toward the mechanical cannon filled with anti-matter energies, and circles it, driving the anti-matter engines toward instability. The ultimate weapon, designed for the sole purpose of the complete annihilation of not just the universe, but the multiverse itself, starts malfunctioning, falling apart due to the sacrifice of him who in many realities is known as the greatest of heroes of all times, just because of this very moment, the moment of the Ultimate Sacrifice-. Everything that's ever mattered to me… everything that's ever been important… the lives of everyone on Earth and throughout our universe… in the present, and in the future… that's what I'm fighting for now! –the scarlet figure runs, the energy of the antimatter cannon blasting all around the futuristic base of operations of a multiversal foe, a foe that doesn't even know he is yet another tool, for the true fiend seeking for the eradication of the multiverse.
-Enough… immortal as I am… and external to the influence of the multiverse, I have already grown tired of your constant intervention, Scarlet Speedster –darkness and emptiness raises around the running hero, seeking to put an end to the endless turmoil it has already lived for countless incarnations. The dark energy surrounded him, and began to slow him down.
-Unhhh… feel myself slowing down… my legs becoming stiff as leaden… -the man complained, as the darkness continued engulfing him, stabilizing the anti-matter cannon-. Who are you? The Anti-Monitor? No… you are not the Anti-Monitor, you are… something else… something… older… how the hell do I know that? –the man questioned, his speed reducing drastically, the creature, the emptiness, was winning.
-I am the Nothingness… I was before everything came to be, and desire to return to what it all was… yet… each time the multiverse ceases to exist… there you are to restart it anew… I have had enough… there will be no more resets this time… this is the last time you interfere… -the creature, whose two pairs of red eyes shinned crimson and bright, peered into the man's soul, consuming it, but just as it happened before, it did again, he couldn't be stopped.
-I'm sorry Nothingness, but I can't give up to the pain… -he speeded up, tearing the creature apart, and continuing with his grand run-. Have to keep running, faster than I ever have before. Running against the flow of antimatter… forcing the energies back into the machine… -explosions began surrounding the place, blinding the eyes of the four eyed creature, who roared in rage since once again, it all continued to resurface thanks to the actions of a damn human-. Funny how your mind wanders when… when you're so close to death you can smell it coming… mom and dad… you can't hear me, but I love you so much. Iris… apart for so long… together for so short a time… remember me, Iris… remember how much I cared. Wally… Bruce… Hal… Arthur… Diana… all the people I loved… lord, it hurts so much… forgive me for leaving you like I did… understand why… please understand why… -the dark creature, the Nothingness, covered itself in darkness to prevent the explosion happening all around the machine, and was the sole witness of the sacrifice of the man in red, seeing his flesh disintegrating, his bones pushing forward until it was no longer possible for the man to keep on running, yet he did-. Th-there is hope… there is always hope… time to save the world! Time… back in time… do what you have to… we must save the world… we must save the world… -the skeleton of what once was a man, fell to the ground, disintegrated, as the anti-matter cannon, once again, always by him, ended destroyed.
-Everything… gone because of that accursed human… -some kind of giant robot-like being yelled in the background of what once was a futuristic base, yet it was the Nothingness, the shadow of four eyes the one speaking, the Anti-Monitor being nothing but a tool for its purposes-. Time after time… it is always you… and time after time, you yell different anchors… Iris… Wally… Bruce… Hal… Arthur… Diana… yet only the first two you mention are a constant… I have waited countless resets for the day your anchors fail you… and you cease this senseless cycle of universal destruction and reconstruction… perhaps this time, a different approach is needed… I will take down your anchors… one by one… -the shadow with four eyes divided itself, creating seven shadows of different colors. One ruling the other six-. Iris… Wally… Bruce… Hal… Arthur… Diana… once this new world emerges… I want them gone… -the Nothingness finished, her clones, swallowed by the newest reset, so when it all began anew, the anchors where destroyed from within years before the hero of the Ultimate Sacrifice could emerge once again.
Teen Titans/Justice League – Legacy.
The War of Light Vol 1.
#1 – The Throne of Tamaran, Part One.
Space Sector 2827.
-¡Yahoo! –as all science fiction stories, this one begins in outer space, but different to all major science fiction stories, this one includes an alien motor biker stripped from the pages of a 90's comic book, an alligator humanoid space cop surrounded by an emerald light, and another space cop in emerald thighs who is currently very pissed off, both space cops currently in pursuit of the biker who barely acknowledged their presence while singing to himself-. When there is trouble you know who is the cause! It's fragging Lobo! He doesn't give a frag about the bastish lanterns! Cause he is fragging Lobo! Na na na nah nah, frag the copyright. Na na na nah nah, space dolphin blast! –sang the motor biker of white skin, jeans and black jacked, ignoring the inexistence of oxygen and sound in space while he speeded up in his Space Hog.
-Who is this guy? Is he singing in outer space? Is that even possible? I mean, we communicate by Green Lantern rings! –complained the Green Lantern who resembled a humanoid alligator, creating a construct of a ray gun to try and hit the motor biker who was apparently faster.
-His name is Lobo, a Czarnian from an unknown Space Sector. Though he is classified as belonging to Space Sector 422 because the Khund where the first to name him. His true name is unpronounceable –mentioned the human-looking space cop, also blasting with his Power Ring, but being easily dodged by the biker named Lobo, who even went as far as launching a kiss toward his pursuer, who felt a vein popping on his forehead-. I'm not in the mood! What in Great Scott's name did the Czarnian steal for the Guardians to assign me to this pursuit? –he complained.
-Great Scott? Is that another Green Lantern I don't know? –asked the alligator-looking Green Lantern-. The Czarnian stole a Centauri Moon Diamond of energy, strong enough to blow up a small moon. Pick your interest already, because the Czarnian is leaving us behind! –pointed out the alligator.
-Not for long! Cover me! –using his ring, Green Lantern created a light structure of an Earth's combat plane, and speeded up even more after the Czarnian, who adjusted his rear mirrors to look at the plane, dangerously coming closer.
-Objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear my ass! Nobody out speeds the Main Man! Come and get me if you can you bastich! Wogo! –pressing a special button on his Space Hog, the eyes of the metal skull in front of the nose of his bike ignited with fire, defying the rules of space since that's not supposed to be possible, but Lobo could do anything he wanted, and so, his Space Hog blasted ahead, leaving the emerald construct of the plane behind.
-Oh no you won't! This baby is fueled with enough willpower to do anything, my willpower! –continued the Green Lantern, when his ring began flickering-. What? But I just recharged you this morning? What gives? –complained the Green Lantern.
-Warning. Vega System off limits to Lanterns. Turn around Green Lantern Hal Jordan. Failure to comply is a court-martial offense. Warning. Turn around. Vega System off limits to Lanterns. Turn around Green Lantern Hal Jordan. Failure to comply is a court-martial offense –repeated the ring on Hal Jordan's hand.
-How do I turn off these warnings? Come on! We are almost there! –complained Hal Jordan, deciding to ignore the warning, when an emerald net formed just in front of his plane, trapping it, and stopping him in place-. Hey! –complained Green Lantern.
-Nobody stops the Main Man! Sayonara, Fart Lantern! –insulted Lobo, escaping into the darkness of space, while in front of the plane, another Green Lantern, a woman of orange skin and long curly red hair, floated in space.
-What's your deal? I almost got him! –complained Hal Jordan. The alligator humanoid lantern arrived as well, and they both faced the girl with emerald eyes floating in front of them both-. Mouse got your tongue? What was that for? –exclaimed Hal.
-Didn't you hear your ring's warning? The Vega Star System is off limits to the Green Lanterns, to any Green Lantern –exclaimed the woman, remaining in her place, not allowing Hal to pass her, and even pulling him from the arm and launching him back when he tried-. Don't make me hurt you! –exclaimed the woman, Hal furiously ignited his ring.
-Woah there! We are all part of the Green Lantern Corps! I'm sure there is a misunderstanding –exclaimed the alligator-looking Green Lantern-. Ahem… Isamot Kol, Green Lantern from Space Sector 2862. From Thanagar. This is Hal Jordan from Space Sector 2814. From planet Earth –began with the introductions Isamot Kol.
-Alisand'r –began the woman-. Green Lantern from Space Sector 2828. From Planet Tamaran –offered her hand the woman, Isamot Kol accepted the hand shake, Hal Jordan in the other hand, was annoyed and refused-. What's his problem? –asked the woman, Hal tried to argue, but Isamot Kol stopped him.
-Broke the code, flirted a coworker, sentenced to community service by the Guardians, he is currently my sidekick –explained Isamot Kol, Hal Jordan just crossed his arms in annoyance and scoffed-. We know the rules… -he began, but then noticed the annoyed stare of Alisand'r-. Fine, I know the rules. But hear me out here. The Czarnian who just crossed the border stole a very dangerous and powerful artifact. A Centauri Moon Diamond of energy with enough power to blow up a small moon. Surely the Guardians would understand if we crossed the border to get him, don't you think? –asked Isamot Kol.
-Which we wouldn't even have to do if someone had created that net to stop the Czarnian and not her own co-workers! –exploded Hal, the woman just began picking her ears ignoring him completely- Look here you missy! –pointed out Hal.
-No, you listen –interrupted the woman-. Space Sector 2828 is off limits. If a Green Lantern is discovered entering the Space Sector, we will be breaking the Fourth Law of the Book of Oa which reads: "Green Lanterns are forced to act within local Space Sector laws, and obey the local authority within reason." Which means that, by the Citadel Code of Authority and the Okaaran archives of Space Sector 2828: "Green Lanterns are forbidden from operating inside the coalition of planets belonging to the Citadel Empire. Failure to obey this law will result in the declaration of war between the Citadel Empire and the Guardians of Oa" This treaty exist for 21 of the 22 planets of the Vega Star System, and as such, it must be respected! –she insisted.
-Found the loophole! We just have to enter the one planet not in the treaty. Once inside, we will figure something out –exclaimed Hal Jordan, much to Isamot Kol's and Alisand'r's dislike-. So, what is the name of this planet not inside of the 21 planets in the treaty? –asked Hal.
-Right… so… you believe you can catch Lobo… from inside the only planet of 22, that's not part of the treaty. And this is supposed to work because…? –wondered the woman, Hal Jordan just smiled from ear to ear-. Humans… -she complained-. The one planet not in the treaty is actually my home planet, Tamaran… and the reason it is not inside of the treaty… is because it is the last planet standing against the Citadel Empire… -she finished, which worried Isamot Kol, not much Hal Jordan, who was adamant into capturing the Czarnian.
Space Sector 2828.
-Holy fragaroni! What a welcoming party! Off my ass you bastiches! Hands off the hog! –inside Space Sector 2828, Lobo, the last of the Czarnians, found out the hard way about the real reason the Green Lantern Corps remained outside of the sector. The Vega Star System was at war, and Lobo arrived in the middle of one of the battles. From a side, red circular battle cruisers, all with several turrets and blasters firing toward the cylinder golden ships that protected the orange planet with red rivers that was the last planet resisting the invading forces of the Citadel, a violent species who saw anyone not part of the Citadel as enemies, that included the last Czarnian, at that moment being blasted by several warships, ending in the crossfire between two of them-. Dirty freaking fragging fragget son of a fragging kill rend frag destroy your sorry asses you fragging… -and on and on Lobo continued, as he fell toward the planet on the distance.
Tamaran. Ruins of Kyssar.
-I suppose I have found my next prey –a lone figure mentioned in the middle of some ruins, as she watched the comet entering Tamaran's surface. Lush jungles surrounded most of planet Tamaran, as well as rivers of red water that fell through waterfalls around the ruins of what once was a fortress, or a castle, there was no way of telling. After all, the edification was now nothing but ruins where a lone Tamaranean girl of orange skin, violet eyes and black colored hair had her basecamp. The girl was not only young, but beautiful, and her body and way of moving was something that could only be described as part of the royalty. Yet, the dirt around her face, and the fur attire around her body, pictured something different, just as the hard growling of one of her nine stomachs-. X'hal, please let it be something edible. I could eat a zornian muck betlee… if I must… again… -the girl added in depression, took her metal made spear, put the fire off, and got ready for her hunt, starting her walk toward where she saw the comet falling, wishing to be the first to scavenge the remains, only the girl stopped her march and grunted-. I know you are there, Koriand'r… I couldn't hear you this time, but the strong odor of your zorkaberry perfume is a strong giveaway… -the girl complained, and from the bushes at her back, a younger Tamaranean girl made it out with giggles and laughs while flying around.
-Xal my dear sister Komand'r. What a great pleasure it is to see you once again after so many rotations of been apart –exclaimed the giggling redheaded and green eyed girl wearing a royal purple dress, as she flew around her elder sister with enthusiasm and happiness, emotions that, at that very moment at least, weren't unable to be present in Komand'r's face-. Rejoice my sister, since I have arrived with news of your outmost interest. Since it is with great pleasure that I… -the redheaded tried to say.
-Shh, Starfire, you are giving me a headache –complained the black haired one, trapping Starfire's lips on her hand so she would just shut up-. After these many translations, I find it incredible that you are still, unable to speak properly. What are you, an Okaaran ancestor? Speak fluidly already! –she sentenced, even going as far as to point her own sister with her lance-. Also, I don't have the time to listen to your gibberish. Do you see that? –she asked, placing her hand on top of Starfire's head, and turning her strongly, even cracking the poor girl's neck, who felt a tear rolling down her eyes in pain-. A faller from the conflict above the open layers. If it is a Tamaranean and yet lives, I will take their belongings, same applies if they don't survive. Batteries, weapons and supplies for my base camp, maybe some Grubfar to pay for something to eat on the markets of Myrrynnian. And if it is an imperial, be it Citadelian or Gordanian, it's indifferent to me, I will have it hunted and delivered to father as a trophy so he will finally recognize me –she added with happiness.
-But… those are like 50 Plinthors. It will take you almost all rotation on foot –Starfire pointed out, which forced her sister to glare at her with hatred-. I did not mean it in the way you think of me meaning it, sweet sister Blackfire. I was not my intention to remind you of your inability to fly… -yet she did, and Blackfire's reply was punching Starfire's head hard-. That hurt… sweet sister Blackfire… that was not sweet at all… -she added with concern.
-Don't want me to punch you, quit reminding me about my inability to fly! –she yelled, Starfire just backed off in fear-. And I don't care about the distance, 50 Plinthors is nothing. I won't be able to fly, but I know the Kyssar jungle better than anyone, I will be back to basecamp before the moons raise –Blackfire insisted, picking her bag and spear once again, and preparing for her hunt. Much to Starfire's dislike.
-But sweet sister, if you arrive late, you will not make it back in time for the joyous announcement of our father the king. It is of the outmost importance to have your presence at the Capital of Tamarus –Starfire insisted, floating behind Blackfire as she walked down the ruins-. I want you there, it would make me the happiest of all sisters to have you there –she insisted, although apparently that was something Blackfire didn't care much about, so she continued walking-. Father and mother would also be delighted –Starfire finished, Blackfire stopped, and the redheaded ended slamming her face against her sister's strong back.
-Did father say… that he wanted me back…? Is that the reason you came looking for me…? –Blackfire wondered, sadness evident in her eyes, sadness Starfire understood far too well, sadness she fought back with a smile of her own-. Quit smiling like the dork I know you are and just answer. Father wants me there or not? And not lying, I will feed you to a Glorg if you lie to me –she threatened.
-Please don't, I still have psychological damage from the last time you did that –Starfire added with tears in her eyes, but such tears only lasted for a second, and where replaced with a genuine smile-. There is no need for doing the lying, I despise lying anyway. Father requested your presence, I was so overjoyed by his decision that I volunteered myself to come and tell you. Whatever Father wants to announce; it is something so joyful that even you are invited… -she smiled from ear to ear.
-Whatever did you mean with even you! –Blackfire grunted, Starfire just rolled her eyes nervously-. Yet… it is the first time in how long? 5 translations, that our father requests my presence… could it be… that he has finally come into terms about me…? –Blackfire wondered.
-That would be the best of the news ever! To have my sweet sister back in the city! How glorious a day that would be! You must certainly, and undoubtedly, assist to the grand announcement to be delivered tonight during the grand ball! –Starfire added happily and while floating around Blackfire and spinning happily.
-A ball? Starfire, I don't even have a proper dress to wear, this is fur… Flarnop fur… the fanciest to hunt here in the jungle –Blackfire modeled, Starfire just sniffed hard, and was disgusted by the fur's odor-. I can't afford a dress, unless… -Blackfire placed her attention back on the smoke from the crashing site, rubbing her chin with interest-. I know the jungle far too well… but regardless, it doesn't matter how fast I run, I don't believe there is enough time to ravage anything, reach Myrrynnian, change the parts for Grubfar, buy a fancy dress, take a bath, and get ready to attend the ball at the Capital of Tamarus, just in time for the announcement –she deduced.
-Not if you can't fly –Starfire pointed out, and the next she knew, was that Blackfire had tried to stab her with her spear-. Again, I did not mean it that way! I can fly you toward all your destinations! –Starfire held her arms wide open, as asking Blackfire to hop into them.
-Fly me there? You? Not in a million translations –Blackfire crossed her arms out of annoyance. Starfire in the other hand, watered her eyes and played with her lips in favor of convincing her sister-. What are you doing? No… don't give me the look, you know I hate the look. Don't you dare to give me the look. Koriand'r, no… -she scolded, but Starfire continued with "the look", her eyes growing bigger, until Blackfire had to give up-. Fine… -she added with a vein on her forehead.
-Yes! Trust in me my sweetest of sisters, I Koriand'r, have the greatest scores in the flying exams of the Palamar Academy for flying prodigies, and will gladly take you toward your desired destination! –Starfire celebrated, only Blackfire was once again grunting against her-. Again… I did not mean it that way. To my arms, sweet sister –she added, Blackfire breathed out in annoyance, but ultimately agreed, and allowed Starfire to carry her, not before the redheaded one hugged her tightly-. I love you so much! –she added with happiness.
-Yeah, yeah, whatever, let's just get this over with –Blackfire replied out of annoyance, while Starfire obeyed, and flew her sister toward the crashing site.
Kyssar Jungle.
-Frag those Citadel bastiches, no one messes with my hog. When I'm done with this baby, I'm gonna frag them where they wipe, those sons of a… -Lobo survived the crash landing as was expected, the same couldn't be said about his Space Hog, which was heavily damaged by being blasted by the war on the planet's outer layers. But currently, Lobo's concentration wasn't placed on fixing his Space Hog, but working on a Doom Device he was building out of spite against whoever dared to touch his precious Space Hog-. Ah, yeah, this is coming out great, as everything I do, because I'm the coolest –spoke the Main Man to himself.
-Lobo, this is your client speaking. Have you secured the Centauri Moon Diamond? –at the control panel of the Space Hog, a hologram was displayed, the hologram of a shadowed figure, not because of a malfunction of the landing, but because the figure wanted to remain unknown-. Speak to me, Lobo –insisted the hologram.
-Not now hun, Lobo is cooking. And when Lobo cooks, there are fireworks. And I mean that both figuratively and literally. Last time I made mama Lobo's boomsticks pie, I was fragging my ass inside out. Frag, I wouldn't wish that even to my worst enemy –he added while scratching his behind, and resuming the construction of his bomb.
-A fascinating subject of conversation, but meaningless. Do you have the Centauri Moon Diamond or not? –added the hologram, this time with a higher pitch in his voice. Lobo kept ignoring it and working on his bomb, but showed the crystal to his client anyway-. Fascinating… a pure Centauri Moon Diamond of energy belonging to the Ion spectrum… now, get that crystal to Qward immediately –ordered the hologram.
-What was that again? Sorry, I'm going through a tunnel, kursh… not hearing you well… kursh… call you latter sweet cheeks, hehehehe… -added Lobo with malefic intentions, while looking at his Doom Device being complete. The alien in the hologram in the other hand, was having none of it, and with a controller from his hand, he activated a ray gun in Lobo's Space Hog, that blasted the Czarnian's face-. Hey! You rigged my hog! No one touches Lobo's hog! –added Lobo enraged, finally placing his whole attention toward the hologram.
-I hired you because I heard you where the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy, who never fails a contract. Was I wrong? I paid a little fortune for your services! And my spies indicate me that you got not one, but three Green Lanterns after you! What were you thinking? –the hologram scolded.
-Oh, I think a lot lately, I got a genius level intellect after all, enough to figure out the Green Lantern are after me not because I stole a diamond. Frag! I steal all the time! Lanterns are after me because this rocky here is an Honor Guard enhancer, level 5 by the looks of it. So the Green Lanterns being after my handsomest buns is your fault Mr. Client, not mine –Lobo pointed out, impressing the figure on the hologram, who apparently wasn't impressed easily-. So, that brings renegotiation to the picture. Either "A", you shut your fragging mouth and let me take my frigging time, paid vacations to do my fragging business. Or "B", you fragging double, nah, triple, one paycheck for each Green Lantern… maybe I shall raid Oa, how does that sound? –Lobo smiled.
-I will double your damn pay, but bring that crystal to Qward immediately! Are we clear? No sidetracking! –insisted the hologram, the client was already losing his temper.
-But ma! I'm in the middle of a side quest! –Lobo pointed at his Doom Device, the hologram breathed out in annoyance, and showed Lobo three fingers-. Now we are talking. A pleasure doing business with you –Lobo replied, the hologram was then turned off-. Now that the nagging is over. Ow, look at you. Who is a precious Doom Device who is about to blow up some Citadelian and Tamaranean ships? Lobo never leaves a side quest unfinished… -he smiled to himself.
-Hands up, Czarnian! –but Lobo's fun was then interrupted, when Hal Jordan made it out of the bushes, not in his space cop uniform anymore, but in pilot clothes from his real job on Earth, accompanied by Isamot Kol and Alisand'r, also wearing their common clothes, an armor in the alligator's place, and a violet tunic in Alisand'r's one.
-Excuse muah? Wait a second… is that you, Hal Jordan? Man, I almost couldn't recognize you without your suit. Now I got Green Lantern's secret identity, my silence will cost you. And who are your two friends. Never seen them before –added Lobo, forcing Hal to raise an eyebrow.
-You mean… you recognized me without my costume… but not the alligator and the hot Tamaranean girl? –pointed Hal Jordan, Lobo nodded a couple of times-. I mean, I could possibly understand you not noticing Alisand'r, but Isamot Kol is a humanoid alligator! They are all the same! –he pointed out.
-Well that's just racist –joked Lobo while placing his Doom Device inside of his Space Hog, and then taking from out of it a chain linked to a hook-. I may be a lot of things, but Lobo does not discriminate, the Main Man hates all the races the same! So get ready for me pulling all your insides out! Hua! –Lobo attacked, using his hook as a whip to try to impale Hal Jordan, the test pilot tried to use his ring, but was instead tackled down by Alisand'r, allowing the hook linked to Lobo's chain to cut a tree in half.
-No rings! In Tamaran or not, if a Citadelian ship tracks the energy readings of one of our rings, they will call the treaty breached and the Citadel will go to war with Oa –Alisand'r reminded, which was of Hal's dislike, especially because that meant they were facing Lobo without their rings.
-So? Not using your power rings? That would make it totally unfair to beat the crap out of you. Whatever shall I do? –Lobo wondered, but he still launched his hook toward them both, breaking the floor at the place it landed, missing his mark just by a few centimeters, but launching dirt and stone all over the place, knocking Alisand'r unconscious with a shard.
-I don't need my ring to beat you to a pulp! –exclaimed Isamot Kol, slamming Lobo with his tail and launching him toward some of the trees, which he broke with his body, and began scratching his head with a little pain- I was a member of the Thanagarian army. Ring or not you are going down! –he exclaimed.
-Suddenly I got the urge for a lizard soup. Who knows, I may find you tasty –Lobo added while liking his own lips, weirding Isamot Kol out-. Yet, out of my own amusement, let's spice things up a little, shall we? Want the diamond? It's inside my hog, alongside a 10 kiloton bomb that will make kablooey at the minimum shaking. Having said that, off to a spin my hog! –Lobo declared, the eyes of the skull in his Space Hog ignited, and the hog speeded up toward the dense jungle.
-Are you serious!? Why!? –Hal wondered, Lobo just raised and lowered his shoulders just because-. Enough! I will deal with the consequences later; I'm using my ring to stop that hog. You two deal with Lobo for now! I will be back! –Hal stated, used his Power Ring to create his costume, and then flew after Lobo's bike.
-Jordan, no! –Alisand'r tried to stop him, but was tackled down by Isamot Kol, who did that just in time for the hook to lose its mark once again-. That fool! The Guardians will have our rings for sure after this! –she complained.
-First time working with Jordan I presume? –Isamot Kol deduced, and powered his ring, recovering his costume-. Risking losing your ring is daily basis to Hal Jordan. We who partner with him from time to time just wait for him to break the rules, so we can break ours –with his ring, Isamot Kol casted a full set of scale armor and weapon, and launched himself toward Lobo, while Hal kept flying after the space bike.
Swamps of Kyssar.
-My heart-filled apologizes to you, my dearest of sisters… it was not my intention to be surprised midflight by a flying Clorbag and allowing you to fall inside that Glorg's nest… I am sure the odor will fade with one washing of the body –begged Starfire for forgiveness, floating slowly behind a Blackfire truly annoyed and covered by some kind of green slime, product of her falling inside of the nest of a local slimy creature. After the fall, Blackfire obviously refused to be carried by Starfire any longer, and resumed the march by foot toward the crashing site.
-You totally did that on purpose! I refuse to believe someone is stupid enough as to be scared by a Clorbag during a flight! It wasn't even one of the big ones! –Blackfire complained, Starfire just blushed embarrassed and poked her index fingers together a couple of times while facing away as a signal of regret-. Then again, maybe you are that stupid. Anyway, I don't need your help, your help never does me any good –she insisted.
-But the moons are already floating toward the tallest skies! If we do not do the hurry, we will miss father's important announcement –Starfire insisted, her eyes watering in fear of not being there for the announcement.
-I don't care! Now that I know how dense and stupid you are, I am convinced that such announcement has nothing to do with me. You surely misheard father or something, there is no way he would ask for my presence anyway –Blackfire added in disappointment, annoying Starfire with her words.
-I did not miss the hearing! Father really asked me to do the looking of you! Whatever the announcement might be, is truly an important event that requires of your presence back in the castle. I would not lie to you my sister; I love you too much to even dare –she insisted.
-Sure, sure, I have heard that one before already. But either I walk my way to the crashing site, or the treasure of the crashing site comes my way. In either case, I'm not going without the treasure –Blackfire insisted, and as if her words were prophetic, the treasure did come to her way in the form of an out of control Space Hog that ran over her, taking her off and toward the opposite direction she had been walking.
-Sister! –Starfire yelled and began flying at full speed after the bike to which Blackfire could barely hold against to, while a few meters behind of both of them, Green Lantern tried to reach them-. Sister! Hold on! I'm coming to do the saving of you! –Starfire yelled.
-As if I had a better choice than holding on. It's way better than the alternative of allowing this thing to run me over! –Blackfire complained while doing her best to climb the Space Hog, and try to reach the control panel-. Almost… there! –she added once finally reaching a most stable position, and before yelling hard and taking the hand clutch, turning it to avoid hitting a tree-. What kind of technology is this one? It's not of the Citadel or of Tamaran. How do I stop this? –she cursed between lips, pressing all the buttons she could find and launching several blasters, bullets, missiles and other dangerous objects all around the jungle, forcing Starfire to dodge, and Green Lantern to be showered by the dangerous explosions-. How many weapons are integrated to this thing? –she complained.
-Jump, I will do the catching –Starfire offered once she finally caught up to the Space Hog, extending her arms for her sister, who made a face of annoyance at her invitation-. Would you prefer to do the crashing! –she pointed toward a dead-end at the jungle, they were reaching Blackfire's base camp.
-Let's see, jump into the incapable hands of my sister, or learn to drive this thing. The choice is crystal clear –Blackfire replied, Starfire smiled and opened her arms wider-. Space Hog is it. Come on, come on! Fly you stupid thing! –she pulled the hand clutches, forcing the nose of the Space Hog up and toward the sky, flying the bike higher than her basecamp, a flight Starfire followed, the same couldn't be said of Green Lantern, who was still recovering from the explosions bellow, and facing up toward the Space Hog flying in front of Tamaran's twin moons-. So this is how flight feels like… it's… amazing… -Blackfire added, a smile on her face, a smile that faded as fast as it came when the Space Hog's power went off, and the bike began falling toward her campsite-. And terrifying! Flying is terrifying! –Blackfire exclaimed, falling alongside the Space Hog, only Starfire was close to grab her by the arms and save her from falling into her basecamp, which then exploded with the force of a 10 kiloton bomb that obliterated the ruins Blackfire's basecamp was built at. The magnitude of the explosion was strong enough as to knockout Green Lantern once again, even with his shield on, and launched him back into the jungle, while Starfire carefully landed and helped Blackfire to win her coolness back-. That thing exploded! Not just exploded, it vaporized my basecamp! That was all I had! –Blackfire added with weak tears in her eyes. Tears she cleaned immediately, refusing to show any weakness.
-You still have me, my sweetest of sisters! –Starfire added with happiness, only Blackfire couldn't reflect the same enthusiasm once again-. I just… wanted to make sure you knew… -she continued with awkwardness. After all, she was trying to cheer her sister up, but Blackfire just kept giving her the cold shoulder-. I think… I will give you the space… -she finished with depression, and floated away in sadness.
-Ught! How can this day be any worse? –yelled out Blackfire, while Starfire, already with a rainy cloud on top of her head lowering her mood even more, just continued floating away-. Everything I ever cared for was inside this base camp. Now I got nothing! –she kicked the ashes that where remnants of her basecamp, uncovering the emerald colored diamond bellow them-. Uh? I don't remember scavenging you. What is this? –Blackfire wondered while inspecting the jewel.
-Sweet sister! Are you done doing the space enjoyment? –Blackfire heard Starfire calling, annoying the dark haired one once again, since the supposed "space" that Starfire had granted didn't even last a minute-. I do not wish to be of your bother, but we are truly running out of time. Will one of my dresses suffice? I am sure you will look even more beautiful than you already are –Starfire insisted, desperation evident in her voice and the way she trembled.
-Are you really insisting on this? –Blackfire wondered, her stomach growled, and one quick glance toward her basecamp revealed she had little to choose from-. Ugh… I suppose this will fetch me some Grubfar on the markets of Myrrynnian to rebuild my basecamp… -she added, and then looked at the desperate look on Starfire's eyes, who was giving her sister the look once again-. And I suppose… that the royal family is obligated to feed me if I attend this… ball… -Blackfire gave up.
-You shall be feed! I will even give you my Stewed Grudthmec –Starfire offered. The thought of the violet pie filled with larvae appeared on Blackfire's mind, and watered her mouth-. Will you come then? It would make me happy if you did? –Starfire begged.
-Fine… -Blackfire gave in, and Starfire yelled out of happiness and hugged her sister hard-. But I eat and leave, I have no intentions on socializing with anyone, specially our parents –Blackfire remarked.
-Our parents will certainly be delighted with your presence, as I am! How long has it been since you set foot on our home castle? –Starfire wondered with enthusiasm, Blackfire's face just reflected sadness once again.
-How old are you? –she asked, Starfire was about to reply, when she understood the meaning of Blackfire's words- It doesn't matter how hard you try… that place, is not my home. I will just feed myself, and be gone of our parent's lives as fast as I can –she finished, placing the emerald diamond inside of her fur clothes, taking her spear, and walking her way toward the kingdom easily visible from the hill her basecamp once was built at, and that used to face the opposite direction than the city.
Starfire just followed in silence. It seemed that, no matter how hard she tried, Blackfire just hated her. But Starfire was adamant in continuing trying to win her sister's favor, so she recovered her cheerful smile, and flew next to her doing small talk, which as always resulted in Blackfire breathing out of annoyance at her insistence.
-Ugh… ouch… Lobo wasn't joking… he truly was planning on blowing it all up just for fun –Green Lantern complained, he was weakened by the explosion, but his ring managed to take most of the damage and protect him with its aura-. At least it blew up here on this hill and not on that city. I can't imagine how Alisand'r would feel to arrive to her home city and find a crater where it once stood. And speaking of Alisand'r. Green Lantern Hal Jordan reporting, the Space Hog blew up on a secure area, thanks to Great Scott, Lobo didn't have the time to make the thing stronger. I'm still surprised he managed to build something this big in just a few minutes though –he added that last part to himself.
-Great Scott again? I really need to meet this Great Scott Lantern or whatever. Perhaps he would have saved my tail –Hal heard one of his companions, Isamot Kol, and upon turning around, he found him all beaten up, and being helped to walk by Alisand'r. Both seemed heavily injured, but mostly fine, or at least it looked like that at first since Hal then noticed Isamot Kol was wearing a light construct of some bandages around the place his tail was supposed to be-. The darn Czarnian wasn't joking when he said he wanted a piece of me. He cut my tail off before fleeing the coward. But worry not, it will grow back eventually. We Lizarkons aren't believers, but I will pray to the wingman's of Thanagar god, Icthultu, for my tail to give that Czarnian some digestion troubles –he added we hatred.
-What you two should be doing right now is leaving this planet, at once. When the Citadel find out about the Green Lanterns being on Tamaran… -Alisand'r complained, but Hal Jordan wasn't worried in the less.
-Even if the Citadel Empire finds out, we got nothing to worry about, we will just blame Lobo –Hal mentioned, which Alisand'r couldn't comprehend-. You see, Alisand'r, I have been in this business long enough to understand that a Centauri Moon Diamond is not just a shiny rock. It is an energy conduct for one of the greatest energy sources in the universe, the Green Lantern's light. In other words, Centauri Moon Diamonds are raw material for a Power Ring, although not just a Power Ring, the Power Ring. Centauri Moon Diamonds are used to craft Honor Guard Green Lantern Power Rings, with the same power as normal Green Lantern Rings, but without the drawback of being forced to recharge them every planetary rotation. The power lasts until it depletes. And I can think of only one reason someone would want a ring that is not forced to recharge every planetary rotation –Hal added.
-Untraceability –Isamot Kol mentioned, and Hal nodded, Alisand'r didn't get it at all-. The reason our rings are designed to force us into recharging every planetary rotation, is so the Guardians can know where we are with each recharge. Not having to recharge until the energy of a Power Ring depletes, which depending of the use could mean between 10 and 30 rotations, means the one wearing it can operate off the Guardian's radar for a longer spam of time –he deduced.
-But that would still require a Power Battery –Alisand'r added-. And I doubt the Guardians wouldn't notice when a Green Lantern doesn't recharge their ring with each rotation, they would deduce either the Green Lantern is dead or inactive and start an investigation –she mentioned.
-Unless the wielder of such Power Ring wasn't a Green Lantern to begin with –Hal deduced, and then lightened his ring, using it as a flashlight to look for the diamond buried in the remnants of the ruins-. At this very moment, I can't think about someone other than the Corp needing a Power Ring… but our first step is to find the diamond –he instructed.
-It doesn't seem to be around here –Isamot Kol mentioned, also using his own ring as a flashlight-. Either Lobo lied, and the diamond wasn't inside of his bike, or it blew up alongside the hog –he continued with the search.
-Oh, the diamond was inside of his bike. He knew what he was transporting, and knew it could survive the explosion of his device unscratched –Hal informed-. Someone like Lobo was probably thinking that no Green Lantern would chase his bike unless the diamond was truly inside. I would have gone after the bike regardless to prevent the explosion from hurting anyone, but that's beside the point –he insisted-. Odd… there is no trace of it. Maybe those girls… -he added while turning his ring off and facing his companions-. While chasing the hog, two Tamaranean girls got involved with it. They both barely made it out of the radius of the explosion, one of them probably took the diamond –he informed.
-So, you endangered two civilians? Kids non the less. Nice job –added Isamot Kol, annoying Hal with his comments-. So now we lost Lobo AND the Centauri Moon Diamond. When words of this reach the Centauri Police, I know of two crabmen who won't let me hear the end of it –he complained while snarling at Hal, who growled back ready for a fight.
-Oh no… why her…? –both then heard Alisand'r complaining, the Tamaranean had continued looking for clues around the ashes, until finding a small silver crown with a violet jewel that survived the explosion-. You say you saw two girls leaving this place? I think I know who they were, and also know where they are heading –she finished while staring at the violet jewel.
Tamarus. Market place of the Palace of And'r.
-When was the last time I was this close to the royal palace? –wearing a cloak around her body in order to hide her identity, Blackfire followed Starfire around the markets of Tamarus, where the citizens all approached the redheaded and greeted her with smiles, kind words, and a warm feeling of familiarity, one that was annoying Blackfire-. Enough, I'm leaving –she added while turning around, winning Starfire's attention.
-No you won't! We are so close to the royal palace! –Starfire pointed out while grabbing Blackfire's cloak, the elder of the two panicked and pulled back hiding her head and face from the now curious citizens around the market-. Please don't give up when we are so close to reuniting the whole family again, please my dear sis… -Starfire began, but her mouth was strongly slapped shut by Blackfire's hand.
-Fine, we are going, but don't you dare finish that sentence –Blackfire scolded, and resumed her march around the market, releasing Starfire, who now had the mark of Blackfire's hand printed to her face-. How do you plan we enter the palace anyway? –she asked.
-The front door of course –she smiled, Blackfire stopped her march and glared at her furiously-. I don't understand. Why the secrecy? You are the long lost princess of the And'r royal bloodline –she whispered, at least understanding Blackfire didn't want anyone to discover her.
-Long lost? Sure, I was so lost my sister always knew where I was and has been visiting me daily for almost 10 translations –she pointed out, and at such comment, Starfire began rubbing her chin trying to connect the dots-. I wasn't lost, I was expelled. There is a difference –she added in annoyance and continued her way.
-Whatever you did to deserve such treatment I am sure our parents will do the understanding. That's what parents do, they forgive –Starfire insisted, but Blackfire still moved her head in negation-. What did you do? –she wondered.
-It's not what I did. It was never my fault. And quit it before I forget the very small part of me that actually tolerates you –she insisted. Starfire gulped hard, and decided to remain in silence. Or at least that was her intention, when she was grabbed by the collar and lifted as a cub, Blackfire noticed and turned around to find Starfire being all submissive toward a giant between Tamaraneans, a huge and long bearded one eyed giant.
-Found you! –exclaimed the giant, Starfire just smiled from ear to ear-. Do you have any idea of how worried was your mother about you? Where were you? If that's a boy I will squash him! You are too young for having a mate –the man added.
-Galfore! My most grandiose K'norfka. Today is a happy day, since you see… -Starfire began, faced in Blackfire's direction, and found her sister waving her head several times in negation-. Ow… right… am… -Starfire began, remembering Blackfire wished to remain unseen-. She… I mean… he… is a boy… and my friend… he is a boy who is my friend… -Starfire added, a vein popped at Galfore's forehead, and an ax found its way dangerously close to Blackfire's head, forcing the girl to run for her life-. Wait! Please do not do the hurting! I would feel my heart in the breaking! –yelled Starfire while Galfore felt even more veins popping at his forehead and pursuing Blackfire even faster around the now green fields of the palace, with Starfire flying after them both.
-Touching my Bungorf, did you not? You think she is the first Bungorf I take care of? Guess again! Galfore always protects his little Bungorfs! –Galfore finally caught up to Blackfire, grabbed her by the cloak, and forced her to stare at him, which in turn tore the cloak off by the strong pulling, and ended with Blackfire exposed in front of him-. You…? –Galfore began, his eyes widened, his ax slipping down his hand and forcing the earth to shake. Blackfire just kicked him away and began cleaning the dirt away from her clothes.
-Xal, Galfore. What was that which you were saying about you always protecting your Bungorfs? Because I haven't felt protected in many, and I mean many, translations… -Blackfire defied, reading for a brawl apparently, but when she though a confrontation was in place, what she got instead, was a hug from her K'norfka-. Unght! Please tell me you are going to try to break me in half with a Grishnik hug –she pleaded.
I would never, my princess… -Galfore began, which was a surprise for Blackfire-. Welcome back home, welcome back to your kingdom, Princess Komand'r, heir to the throne of the house of And'r –Galfore added, and behind him, Starfire was all joy and smiles.
The Drunk Stinermite.
-The House of And'r eh? –close to the Royal Palace of And'r, Hal Jordan, Isamot Kol and Alisand'r, all covering their bodies with green cloaks to hide their identities as Green Lanterns, went into the closest tavern they could find in favor of discussing the next course of action. Currently, Isamot Kol was devouring some bugs from a plate that was delivered to their table, Stinermites, just as the name of the tavern, apparently a local delicacy, while Hal Jordan read some documents using his ring as projector, while Alidand'r faced every direction making sure they weren't winning enough attention-. Why would the eldest daughter of the king and queen of Tamaran be living on her own at a campsite on the hills. Are you sure she is the one taking the Centaury Moon Diamond? Aren't Tamaranean princesses more… I don't know, refined? –Hal wondered.
-It's a complex story –Alisand'r began once making sure no one was paying them any attention-. The first planet of the 22 forming the Vega System, is the Citadel Homeworld, but the historians of Tamaran all agree that that's not their planet of origin. The first Citadelian ever registered was born on planet Okaara, the thirteenth planet in the Vega Star system, as an experiment from another race known simply as de Psions –she began, knowing already that the explanation was going to be hard to understand-. No one knows where the Psions's home world is, some say we are yet to discover more planets in the Vega System and one of them is the Psions's home world. But right now all that needs to be known about the Psions is that they created the first of the known Citadelians as a hybrid of an Okaaran, and a Branx warrior, the stone people of the seventh planet, Emana Branx –Alisand'r explained, Hal and Isamot Kol exchanged looks not understanding the lesson.
-Oh is one of those stories –Hal complained-. Alien races creating other alien races, playing to be gods and then everything runs out of control. Suddenly several blue dwarves came into my mind –he grunted, Isamot Kol decided to ignore the comment and bury his nose inside of more bug plates-. So, the big bad Psions created the first Citadelian, and big bad Citadelian murdered them all and took over –he wondered.
-Not exactly –she corrected-. The Psions still exist, they are the brains of the Citadel Empire. All those warships, all that technology, it wasn't created by the Citadelians but by the Psions. To my understanding, the Psions are the race watching over their creation, and seeing how far they can evolve –the more Hal heard, the more the blue dwarves that were the Guardians of the Galaxy, appeared on his mind-. The problem is, that the Citadelians couldn't procreate with their own. No matter the experiments of the Psions, Citadelians were always male, so they multiplied by a cloning progress, the original clone even being digitalized and reborn as a supercomputer known as Complex-Complex –she explained.
-This is the stupidest story ever. And the worst part is, I don't understand what all this has to do with the Tamaranean girls we are looking for –Hal wondered, Isamot Kol just burped his bugs and faced Hal's plate, he then pushed his plate to the alligator, who chomped the bugs happily.
-Everything has to do with the princesses –Alisand'r continued-. The Psions discovered that the only way for the Citadelians to pass on their genetic code, different from cloning, was to mate with other alien species. And so, the Psions, as caring fathers, supported their creations in conquering the whole Vegan System, forcing pacts of slavery with each planet they conquered, and forcing these planets to pay tribute in the form of slave women for the Citadelians to pass on their genetic codes through mating –she explained, such explanation angered Hal, who closed his hand strongly in hatred-. The only planet not surrendering to the Citadelians was Tamaran, once a pacific utopia, forced into conflict when the current king's father refused to deliver his wife as an offer of peace. War erupted, the king and almost all of his bloodline was killed. Only his youngest son, who would later be known King Myand'r, survived –she explained.
-Tragic, but I still don't understand why all this explanation was needed in the first place –added Hal in desperation, wanting to launch himself into action other than be part of a story lesson he cared little about.
-What I am explaining to you, is in preparation of what is to come, so no mistakes are committed, try to pay attention –she scolded, Hal just crossed his arms out of annoyance-. Upon refusing a truce, Tamaran and the Citadel broke into a wild war. But the primary objective of the Citadel persisted, to perpetuate the species. They hired another race of slavers, the Gordanians, to infiltrate Tamaran from time to time, to kidnap women –she explained, Hal cursed to his insides, another different alien race entered the picture, and Hal was getting feed up with it-. But the Citadelians just wanted the benefit of the offspring, not the responsibility, they would eventually send the Tamaran slaves back to the planet. Sometimes even with the weaker offspring, the ones they considered unworthy. These offspring could not fly, or channel the energies of the ultraviolet light in any way as most Tamaraneans do. Their skin tone was also a little brownish in some cases, but it was so hard to notice that sometimes the offspring could integrate easily without you knowing you had a hybrid in front of you. Yet, there was one crucial way for identifying a halfblooded, their eyes and hair. Violet eyes, meant they were hybrids with Citadelian blood –she informed, even doing it so with disgust.
-So… you are telling me there is racism in Tamaran… is that it? Again, it's tragic, and sadly out of our control, it happens everywhere in the galaxy –Hal mentioned, Alisand'r breathed out on annoyance, but Isamot Kol's jaw dropped with the revelation-. What? –Hal asked.
-One of the princesses is a hybrid? –Isamot Kol deduced, Alsand'r nodded in agreement-. You mean the queen was unfaithful to the king. Oh, this is getting juicy –exclaimed Isamot Kol happily, Hal just delivered an annoyed and curious stare in his direction-. Hey, patrolling the Space Sectors gets boring from time to time, let me enjoy this –he complained.
-Not only Princess Komand'r was born a hybrid, but her mother was also a hybrid. King Myand'r chose to marry a hybrid to try to make a statement, that hybrid or not, Tamaraneans were all the same –Alisand'r mentioned, Hal was impressed, but Alisand'r wasn't finished yet-. It took very long for the Tamaranean citizens to accept their queen was a hybrid, the idea of her getting pregnant and giving birth to an ever weaker link, disgusted the majority of the population, and to make matters worse, the same day of the birth of Princess Komand'r, the Citadelians invaded once again, and they demanded King Myand'r to deliver her to them as a peace tribute –Hal frowned, the story was getting weirder and weirder by the minute, Isamot Kol in the other hand, chomped bugs and larvae as if they were popcorns-. But on a delusional move from our king… he refused… it was the perfect way to achieve peace, the princess wasn't even a true Tamaranean… all the king had to do, was to deliver the halfblooded to the Citadel… but he refused, and in vengeance… the Citadel destroyed the City of Kyssar –Alisand'r mentioned, Hal was horrified-. Three thousand citizens, vaporized in an instant, all because of a halfblooded. Before you wondered, Hal Jordan, how it would feel to arrive to your home city… and find a crater on the place it should be… well, I understand that pain far too well… -Alisand'r finished.
-I… am… I… didn't mean it as if it was… you know… possible… -Hal added, Alisand'r just faced him with annoyance once again-. I mean, I did not know… if I had known… I… maybe it is better if I shut up now… -he concluded, Alisand'r nodded once again.
-As the Green Lantern of Space Sector 2828, it is my duty to maintain order in all of my Space Sector, not just Tamaran –she began, Hal and Isamot Kol exchanged looks once again-. I am not supposed to enter Tamaran because of my loyalty to the Corp… but right now here I am… in the worst day ever for the history of Tamaran… the day King Myand'r will announce the heir to the throne of Tamaran… and you two allowed Komand'r to survive… curse my damn luck… -she complained, Hal and Isamot Kol exchanged looks once again.
-Allowed Komand'r to survive? –Hal wondered-. Wait a minute or any time measurement you use here in Tamaran –Hal pointed at Alisand'r, who was currently resting herself at her chair-. Now I understand why you tried to stop me and not Lobo from entering Space Sector 2828, this was never about preventing the Guardians from knowing, it was to protect Lobo so he could kill Komand'r! You hired him! –he deduced.
-Bingo, Fart Lantern –Hal heard, turned around, and the last thing he saw was a white fist punching him senseless. Lobo, the Main Man, had attacked him from behind when he was most vulnerable.
-Czarnian! –exclaimed Isamot Kol, readying his ring-. What is the meaning of this, Alisand'r? You betrayed us! We are your Corpsmen! –Isamot Kol complained, Lobo just interrupted by spitting on Isamot Kol's ring-. Ackt, gross! –he complained, but then noticed the yellow substance surrounding his ring-. Hell no… -he added with depression.
-Hell yes tasty, my phlegm is yellow, caught a space virus or something, now sweet dreams –Lobo finished, and punched Isamot Kol so hard he was knocked unconscious-. Now we are talking, two Green Lantern rings will fetch a high price on the black market. Sorry to be late, evacuating without killing is not my style –Lobo mentioned while readying his hook to cut Isamot Kol's finger, only Alisand'r stopped him with her own ring-. It will grow back, he said so himself –Lobo pointed out.
-What I do, I do it for Tamaran, not against the Corp –Alisand'r explained, Lobo just breathed out in annoyance-. And you also failed to kill Komand'r as we had agreed. We have a contract, and I still expect you to fulfill it. Or is it not your name Lobo? –she demanded while showing the Czarnian a contract with his signature.
-Actually, my birth name is Unpronounceable –Lobo explained, Alisand'r just raised an eyebrow-. And I mean it like, Unpronounceable, not the word unpronounceable, my name is Unpronounceable. Unpronounceable aka Lobo, you follow? The name mama Lobo gave me at birth, is Unpronounceable –he continued, Alisand'r just delivered him an odd stare-. Fine, my name is Lobo. One day they will understand mama. So, what's the plan now? Do I nuke them? –he wondered.
-First we deal, not mortally may I add, with these Lanterns –Alisand'r explained, Lobo obeyed, and chained them together-. Afterwards, we have a ceremony of succession to interrupt, and I just know the way to do it –she informed, and took from out of her cloak a small disc, Lobo took it, and placed it inside of one of his devices, opening an encrypted transmission, and displaying the hologram of a scaled creature of red eyes wearing a golden colored armor.
-Oh, brother… some side quest I got myself into… -Lobo complained, Alisand'r, just in front of him, waved her hand and began writing some alien texts for Lobo to read using her ring-. Trogarr of the Gordanians I presume… the name is Lobo, Commander of Princess Komand'r's honor guard, here to negotiate a truce, if you are interested –he smiled, and followed Alisandr's instructions.
Palace of And'r. Starfire's room.
-A ceremony to announce the successor of the House of And'r? Is father ill? –after a teary reunion, mostly teary form Galfore's part, Starfire managed to get both Blackfire and Galfore inside of her room, a decision she would grow to regret when Galfore, still recovering from his nostalgia trip, allowed himself to sit on top of Starfire's bed, crushing it in half with his weight and while using one of her pillows to blow his nose.
-My bed… my beautiful bed that gave me so many times of pleasant dreams… -Starfire began, an eyebrow tickling her in annoyance, which was a surprise for Blackfire-. What I mean to say is… I am pleased my bed was of helping in the recovery of your feelings, my K'norfka… please repair it whenever you can… -she added a little less joyfully.
-Your father is not dying, Blackfire… -Galfore began, which was a surprise for Blackfire, already dressed in one of her sister's royal tunics, one of soft violet color. Starfire noticed Galfore was just going to ignored the fact that he crushed her bed, and instead, went to brush her sister's hair-. Listen… Komand'r… I understand that you have been feeling… lonely, and sad, and enraged, your father did vanish you from the kingdom after all, but you tried to kill your sister –he explained.
-I beg your pardon? –Starfire wondered, pulling her brush too hard because of the surprise, hurting Blackfire in the progress-. What is that which you mean, my dear K'norfka? My sister would never hurt me in any way –she informed.
-I mean, I don't mind hurting Starfire, but even I know killing would be a little too extre… ow… you are talking about that incident with the Warlords of Okaara… right? –she asked, Galfore nodded, Starfire just scratched her head in confusion-. You know, Okaara… the not so campsite father sent us to when we were kids… the warrior training… me… kicking you off the cliff… good times… -she finished nervously.
-I do not seem to recall that much… my memories of Okaara are… misty… -Starfire admitted while scratching her head-. I recall visiting the Warlords, and my classes on cooking, and something about the Warlords teaching me to my current capabilities –she continued, Blackfire faced Galfore in confusion.
-She woke up of the coma, and since your father had paid for the whole year, they tried to teach her how to cook, although the priority was to teach her how to speak again… needless to say, the Okaara Warlords aren't that patient on teaching anything other than war –Galfore explained.
-You mean to tell me that the way she talks now is because of that not so accident? –she whispered, Galfore nodded-. This is the first time ever I feel bad for hurting my sister, and I hate it, I don't want to feel pity or remorse for her –she crossed her arms out of annoyance.
-You should. Koriand'r kept asking your father day after day to forgive you –Galfore explained, Blackfire then faced Starfire with surprise-. Perhaps the contusion in her head forced her to forget plenty of things, but there was one thing she never forgot, her sweet sister, and how much she loved her –Galfore continued, Blackfire then lowered her head. For so many years, she had treated Starfire miserably, and her sister never gave up on fighting for her forgiveness-. Your father may be a stubborn Clorbag Vorblernelk sometimes, he married your mother, some believe more to prove a point than from love, and he had you and declared you the heir. Then Starfire was born, and there was no trace of Citadelian blood in her veins –he resumed, Blackfire just faced Starfire with jealously-. And yet he didn't back off of his decision to prove a hybrid was just as good as a full-blooded, that we were all the same. You can't blame him from giving up on you when you tried to murder your sister –he finished.
-It was an acci… ok fine, it wasn't, sorry for the disappointment… -Blackfire mentioned, Starfire just blinked a couple of times, not even knowing what to reply after finding out about that part-. Look, I'm sorry, ok? I'm, kind of glad you survived the fall –Starfire thought about it, and just smiled-. Wow, you are awfully easy to please –she whispered.
-And it's better that way, because if it wasn't for Koriand'r, day after day, asking for your father to forgive you, storming into his room and demanding your forgiveness, interrupting his speeches to his people, even insisting when he was out hunting. Perhaps, he would have never accepted you back –Galfore explained, Blackfire then delivered a regretful look toward a smiling Starfire-. When your father was finally convinced, and once having your mother's approval as well, they asked Starfire to look for you, she was the only one knowing of your whereabouts –he finished.
-Because sister Komand'r asked me to never tell anyone about it, declaring it a secret of the sisters –Starfire added, Blackfire just lowered her head, she was in shock. All those years of hatred, and her little sister, was nothing but love and concern over her.
-So… the announcement tonight… -she asked without being able to hide her smile, Galfore nodded-. But the color of my hair… my inability to fly… it took several years for the others not to hate my mother… some even just tolerate her. One thing is having a hybrid queen serving as the king's advisor, another very different one is placing the whole responsibility of the House of And'r in me, a second generation hybrid –she added with concern.
-You were always supposed to be the heir. Destined to become the link and beacon of a unified a stronger Tamaran –Galfore began with pride-. The queen to eradicate all the discrimination, and achieve true equality between pureblooded and halfblooded, just like your father always wished –Galfore finished.
-Utopic, and much likely impossible to achieve on these conditions –Blackfire replied, bursting Galfore's bubble-. But I may give it a go. Going from exiled scavenger to heir to the throne in one day is too much of an upgrade as to ignore –she added, and then noticed the huge smile on Starfire's lips, she was way too pleased-. I wish there was a way to repay you for never giving up on me… oh wait, I know… because I am such a good sister, I will sacrifice my most precious current possession for you, my sweet sister –Blackfire mentioned while looking for her fur made clothes, looking for the Centauri Moon Diamond.
-Gasp! This is the first time you call me your sweet sister! –she added with joy, but her happiness just went overboard when Blackfire finally found the diamond, and presented it to her-. Ah! A Centauri Moon Diamond? Where did you get…? -she began with her eyes almost in tears.
-You… know what this is…? I suppose they teach jewelry in Tamarus's noble schools… -she added to herself-. It's just one of the treasures from my scavenging, not a big deal. Just take it, it's a burden to carry it anyway –she lied-. Oh look, it matches your eyes –she smiled, Starfire's eyes were already shaped as Centauri Moon Diamonds.
-Umm… where have I seen this diamond before? –Galfore wondered while scratching his beard, and while looking at Starfire modelling her diamond while floating all over the room. Galfore could have given it more thoughts, but the trumpets announcing the beginning of the ceremony interrupted his thinking-. Well, if I don't remember then it wasn't that important. What is important though, is your return to your parent's side, my princess –Galfore kneeled, Blackfire felt a little embarrassed at first, but her pride won the best of her, and so she arched her back to stick her chest out proudly-. That's the Bungorf I remember -Galfore smiled, and was the first one to leave the room. Blackfire then took her cloak and began placing it around her head, when Starfire stopped her.
-You will never, ever, have to hide your hair or eye color ever again, my sweet sister –she mentioned while pulling her cloak down and off, then smiling directly toward her sister-. Never again. Today, we are sisters once more… not that we weren't before, I mean, biology cannot be erased, what I mean is… -she added nervously.
-Koriand'r, just shut up –Komand'r added while hugging her sister, who happily returned the hug-. But don't get used to this, I still have some elder sister pride. Let's go then –she finished, Starfire nodded, and floated after Blackfire while giggling playfully.
The Drunk Stinermite.
-Ow… yauch… Isamot Kol… are you alive? –Hal Jordan finally woke up, he was tied to Isamot Kol thanks to Lobo's chain, and inside of the tavern's backroom. There was no one around, they were both left to their luck, not only chained together, but with their hands inside some yellow cans filled with a yellow substance-. Really? Painting my ring yellow? And this guy captured us both? –Hal wondered.
-It's not paint, its yellow jelly from Sputflinks's innards –Isamot Kol explained, Hal just raised an eyebrow at him-. Just saying… it's delicious with crunchy Stinermite and a bottle of… -he tried to say, when Hal Jordan interrupted.
-Isamot, it's not the time –Hal added, and then tried to move his fingers, only the substance Lobo had placed their hands into was too dense as to move easily-. Is this edible? –he wondered.
-Depends on the species. Tamaraneans evolved from a feline race. I suppose that if there are felines in your planet, you can. Good luck reaching your hand to clean it off though. I will just break these chains with brute force -Isamot Kol mentioned while flexing, Hal immediately complained because of the pressure-. When I free myself from this, I will hunt that Czarnian down and feed his chain to him –he added furiously.
-Isamot! Stop! Stop! You are crushing me! –Hal complained, Isamot Kol then noticed that even if he could break the chains, he would also end up breaking Hal's back- Damn it! All that storytelling of Tamarans past… it was just to distract us while Lobo readied all this for us. I can't believe she betrayed us! What sane Green Lantern does that? –he wondered.
-It didn't sound like a betrayal to me though… it almost felt… desperate… -Isamot Kol mentioned, winning Hal's attention-. She shared all that with us so we could understand, and when noticing we wouldn't, she unleashed Lobo over us –he insisted.
-Are you telling me you agree with her? –Hal added furiously-. Alisand'r just admitted she plotted the princesses' assassination! How can you agree with that? –He questioned.
-By the Guardians, Kilowog did say humans were too sentimental… and here I though Tamaraneans were the most sentimental driven beings in the universe –Isamot Kol replied to himself, but then returned his attention toward Hal-. Think about it, a selfish king who refused to give away his wife for the good of the majority, a current king who refused to give away his daughter just because of pride, resulting in the total annihilation of Kyssar, her home… you just can't understand it because it didn't happen to you. Pray for any god you want that it never does Jordan… it would surprise you how someone who has lost everything would react… -he finished.
-I can't believe you wasted so many words in saying absolutely nothing –Hal insulted-. We are Green Lanterns. We have the will to get over anything –Hal insisted, his ring reacting even inside the yellow goo-. What happened to Kyssar was tragic, but that doesn't excuse Alisand'r. Having a tragic background does not give you the right to wrong others. That's the Green Lantern way, it's even in our oath: In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might beware my power… Green Lantern's light! –Hal finished, and to Isamot Kol's surprise, his ring bypassed the yellow impurity, breaking free, and allowing Hal to cut the chains with the light construct of a chain breaker-. Now… we have a princess to save, and a diamond to recover, not to mention a Green Lantern to butt kick –he finished, and both Isamot Kol and Hal flew out of the tavern.
Palace of And'r. The Throne Room.
-On second thoughts, it's best if I hide my hair with a hat or something –Blackfire mentioned when leaving the palace's corridors and noticing the crowd just outside of the Throne Room and cheering cheerfully for the king and queen, being announced to arrive at that very moment.
-Don't be ridiculous sister. It is ratter late to do the backing of the off! I believe in you! –Starfire added while pushing Blackfire toward the crowd, Galfore followed them close-. Soon, our father will do the announcement, and you shall make the triumphant return to the royal family. We will be a true family one again, and we will partake in many, many camp trips just like the one on Okaara –she continued.
-Bad example, incredibly bad example –Blackfire complained and tried to run past Starfire, but was too slow for someone who could actually fly, and who grabbed her by the armpits, also lifting her from the ground so she couldn't touch it and run away- I'm starting to despise you once again! How dare you lift me off ground? –she complained.
-Xal, people of Tamaran! –a heavy voice, full of authority, was heard coming from the insides of the throne room, and while being carried afloat by Starfire, both Tamaranean sisters had a more than clear look of the owner of such voice. The King Myand'r, elegant, but strong in presence, with his wife, Queen Lunand'r, a beautiful Tamaranean of soft bluish hair, clapping at her husband happily while sitting on her own throne-. I have received confirmation from my close friend and sworn brother, Galfore, of the arrival of my daughter Koriand'r, who brings with her someone very dear to me and my wife –Blackfire listened, and immediately faced Galfore, who waved to her from ground level, and pointed at the device on his hand which he used to inform the king-. And with her arrival, I can now correct a mistake committed many translations ago, a mistake I have repented heavily. With you, Princess Komiand'r of Tamaran, and her returning sister, Komand'r –Myand'r informed, the throne room went then into a heavy silence, and they all turned around horrified to find Blackfire being carried off ground by Starfire, only Galfore pulled them both to ground level almost immediately, so both sisters stood together by the door-. Komand'r… -King Myand'r began, his wife Queen Luand'r stood by his side with watery eyes-. I got an offer that may be of your liking, my dear daughter –he began, Blackfire's eyes widened, Starfire's ones watered, and someone burped in the middle of the ceremony.
-General Komand'r isn't interested, king mostacho –a Tamaranean from the public interrupted, although when giving him a closer look, and noticing his red eyes, they all knew he wasn't truly a Tamaranean, but a different alien race who had painted his skin orange and dyed his hair red, although unable to hide his red eyes at all-. By the way, this is a coup –the Tamaranean, in reality Lobo, took a blaster from inside of his now purple jacket, and fired against the king, blasting him toward his throne and leaving everyone speechless-. Lobo to warlord Trogarr of the Gordanian, we got the king –he finished while taking a device with a red button from his pocket, pressing it, and blasting several walls.
-Father! –yelled Blackfire, moments before Galfore was launched over her head and landed on top of several Tamaranean, who were in panic as reptile-like humanoid warriors stepped inside of the Throne Room using the holes blasted at the walls, and while a larger one, wearing a red cape and golden armor, arrived behind Blackfire, who then noticed the Gordanians holding her sister Starfire pinned on the ground.
-Greetings, Tamaranean scum, my name is Trogarr of the Gordanian War masters! –the immense Gordanian added with an evil smirk on his face-. And I hereby declare princess Komand'r of Tamaran, as the true Queen of Tamaran! Get them! –ordered the warlord.
-Komand'r? What is the meaning of this? –asked the king, who had survived the blast, but was injured. Violet blood was coming down from his lips-. This was supposed to be… a glorious day… -her father added while falling onto his knee.
-Oh, but it is a glorious day –Lobo began, having the attention of everyone since the Gordanians had managed to surround the Tamaraneans-. The day our princess had waited since the day she was expelled from the House of And'r, the day of vengeance –he finished.
-Sister? –Starfire asked, Blackfire was so confused that she didn't know how to react-. Is that… the truth? You did this? Is this what you wanted? –she asked with tears in her eyes, and her heart sinking heavily.
-What? No! I have been with you all day! How could I plot something like this? –she asked, confusing Starfire who once again tried to believe in her sister, when Trogarr took the Citadel Moon Diamond from Starfire's necklace, and stripped her from it.
-With the correct payment of course, a Centauri Moon Diamond, and the princess Koriand'r sold as our slave –Trogarr added, leaving Starfire speechless, and depressed-. We have received our payment! The throne of Tamaran is yours! –Trogarr sentenced.
-That diamond isn't yours, and neither is the throne of Tamaran! –Trogarr heard, he turned around, and was punched hard by the light construct of an emerald punching glove-. I will get Lono, you get the diamond! –Hal ordered.
-Sorry, but I also want a piece of that Czarnian piece of… -Isamot Kol began, but was blasted by Lobo and launched toward several Gordanians, who launched themselves toward him and kept him busy.
-Lanterns here? They wouldn't be here unless… -Myand'r added, and then faced Blackfire with concern-. So… I wasn't mistaken after all… you bought the Gordanian loyalty with a Centauri Moon Diamond! I don't believe this! –Myand'r added with rage.
-Then don't and listen to me! This is not…! –she tried to explain, but was hit by a piece of rubbish thrown by one of the Tamaraneans, others grabbed some from the ground as well, and either used them to hit Blackfire with it, or the Gordanians to defend their king-. Father… please… -she begged.
-I only have one daughter… the rightful heir to my throne! People of Tamaran! Release our future queen Komiand'r from that treacherous monster –King Myand'r pointed, and Blackfire's heart broke. That same morning, she only wanted to scavenge a crashing site, but instead ended with high hopes thanks to her sister, she even started believing it was possible to have a family, to be loved. But now, it was all gone.
-Take her to the ships! There are too many of them! –Trogarr ordered, some of the Gordanian obeyed, grabbing Blackfire from the waist, and taking her by force, alongside a depressed Starfire, toward one of the Gordanian ships that was just landing. It was then when Blackfire noticed it wasn't just a coup, it was a full invasion force. Tamaran, had entered a total war state.
-Where did all those spaceships came from? –Hal wondered, horrified and after blasting Lobo with his ring, winning some air. Isamot Kol reunited with him-. There weren't these many warships when we arrived to the planet –he complained.
-Warning. Vega System off limits to Lanterns. Turn around Green Lantern Hal Jordan. Failure to comply is a court-martial offense. Warning. Turn around. Vega System off limits to Lanterns. Turn around Green Lantern Hal Jordan. Failure to comply is a court-martial offense –Hal's ring began, confusing him.
-Warning. Vega System off limits to Lanterns. Turn around Green Lantern Isamot Kol. Failure to comply is a court-martial offense. Warning. Turn around. Vega System off limits to Lanterns. Turn around Green Lantern Hal Jordan. Failure to comply is a court-martial offense –Isamot Kol's ring continued.
-That… doesn't sound right… we are already inside anyway –Isamot Kol pointed the obvious, and once he did, a loud thundering sound was heard, and an emerald hole was opened in the clear skies, a hole from which more Gordanian ships arrived.
-She rigged our rings while we were unconscious! –Hal deduced-. She is using our ring's signatures to open wormholes to get the Gordanians into the heart of Tamaran! Not only breaching the treaty, but putting the blame on us! –Hal finished.
-Well… we did breach the treaty, she is just escalating our blame even further –Isamot Kol mentioned, Hal then noticed the huge war ax being lifted behind of him, and pulled Isamot Kol just in time to avoid Galfore's ax.
-You, Lanterns, will forever regret the day you stepped into our Space Sector. I will make sure of it –Galfore continued, wielding his ax toward Hal and Isamot Kol.
-Wait! We are on your side! –Hal tried to explain, but ended being forced to cast a shield around both of them in favor of stopping Galfore's ax, and while that happened, Lobo ran by the sphere-. I haven't finished with you yet Lobo! –Hal complained while still resisting Galfore's ax.
-Oh look! A full moon! –Lobo added out of nowhere, took his pants down, and showed both Hal and Isamot Kol his butt-. See you later boy scout –Lobo finished, and ran inside the same Gordanian ship Blackfire and Starfire entered-. Well, that was fun. Not every day I can start a coup, blame the cops, and show my butt without consequences. You are fun to work with, Chick Lantern –Lobo added, and after doing it so, Blackfire noticed Alisand'r, in her Green Lantern uniform, sitting calmly next to her.
-You…? A Tamaranean Green Lantern? Why? –Blackfire wondered, but a Gordanian interrupted her thoughts by taking Starfire from her neck and taking her away-. Koriand'r! Let her go! –she added furiously, but was pinned down by the Gordanians-. What are you going to do with her? –Blackfire asked.
-Me? Nothing… the Psions in the other hand… -Alisand'r pointed out, and Blackfire was able to see, much to her horror, how they Gordanians locked Starfire inside of some kind of medical room, where a skeletal reptile-like being of green glowing eyes, smiled while taking some instruments from inside his lab robe. Not long after that image, Blackfire heard her sister yell in pain, and saw emerald lights coming from below the borders of the mechanical doors-. You will find out in due time. The Psions will experiment with you in due time –she added.
-Jeesh woman. I mean, I am bad, but not child abuse and experimentation kind of bad –Lobo added while cleaning the paint off of his skin-. Would hate to be in your place kiddo –he whispered.
-Why are you doing this? –Blackfire asked, she was in panic-. What did I do to deserve this? What did she do? –she continued asking, Lobo just raised his arms up and down not knowing what to say, and then faced Alisand'r.
-Do you remember Kyssar? Of course you don't, as if you cared –Alisand'r added with rage-. Well, Kyssar was my home! And it blew up because of you! The plan was to blow you up as well, but I suppose instant vaporization is too good a punishment for someone who hurt a lot of our people by just existing. Being experimented by the Psions until you die out of pain and exhaustion, yeah, I can get behind that idea –she finished.
-This girl is bonkers… and that's coming from a psychopath who blew up his whole planet for a science project, gave myself an A by the way –whispered Lobo, but Blackfire was in shock and in tears and that very moment and couldn't pay attention to him-. Now, I'm taking this. You deal with the little princess –Lobo took the diamond from one of the Gordanians, and left the room, heading to one which held his bike, a bike Blackfire noticed as the one she drove and supposedly exploded.
-This is not just some random accident or a bad day… you planned this, didn't you? Why for? –Blackfire asked, her eyes swallowed by the tears-. Because of a genocide that happened the day I was born! I was just born! How am I at fault here? –she asked, while the Gordanians grabbed her by the arms, and began taking her away toward another medical room.
-Your crime, Komand'r, was being born, that's all there is, nothing else. Take her away –Alisand'r ordered, the Gordanians obeyed, and Blackfire, unable to believe it, and in shock to a point where her mind apparently wandered away from her body, was tied to a medical table, and ended facing a white light, while the Psion in charge of her, prepared for an operation.
-Subject V108221982 ready for energy absorption toleration test. Begin –the Psion began, and the brutality of the energy shock she received, woke her up from the shock, just to lead her into a world of pain.
To be continued…
