Future Lucy told them that 10,000 dragons will attack the entire world in the future. Many people died during the dragon invasion and no one could stop the dragons. Even the Wizard Saints failed to stop 10,000 dragons.
"What about us? What are our casualties?" Ben asked.
Future Lucy's expression became sad and tears start falling down her face as she said, "Almost everyone in Fairy Tail died."
The others were surprised even though they expected it since they heard that even the Wizard Saints failed to stop the dragons.
"The only ones left are me, Wendy, Carla, Bella, Ariel and Gabriel. Our guild was the dragon's main target, that's why our casualties were really high." Future Lucy told them.
"They're attracted to the Dragon Slayers, huh?" Ben asked.
"That's right. It's because we have 7 Dragon Slayers who have enough power to threaten the dragons, especially you, Ben. Your future self killed the most dragons in 7 years. 382 dragons. That's the number of dragons you killed in 5 years before you died in a fight with 1,000 dragons. You slayed 98 dragons in that fight before dying." Future Lucy explained.
"1000?!" Everyone exclaimed with shocked expressions.
"Yeah, they attacked our hideout so Ben fought them while the remaining members escaped. After his fall, our guild became an easier target and we started losing members at a faster rate, starting with the Dragon Slayers and S-Class mages. Wendy is the only Dragon Slayer left and it's only because Ben sealed her Dragon Slayer Magic away so she wouldn't be a target." Future Lucy nodded.
"What about me?" Natsu asked.
"And me?" Cana added.
"Natsu was killed at the same time as Laxus, Gajeel, Erza, Master and Gildarts. They fought 100 dragons that chased us after Ben's death. Ryu and Kenshin died before they did after providing cover. After that, Cana and Freed died along with some other mages. Mira was the last to be killed while protecting the six of us a month ago." Future Lucy sadly said.
"Damn, we couldn't even face 100 dragons." A frustrated Laxus said.
"It's because only Dragon Slayer Magic can significantly harm dragons. Ben tried to raise more Dragon Slayers using dragon lacrima. Even so, they wouldn't be as strong as you guys because not everyone could master it due to it being very difficult magic to learn. We also didn't have enough time to raise them to high levels. Furthermore, we needed to kill a dragon first for Ben to create a good dragon lacrima." Future Lucy pointed out.
"I guess transforming adults who already trained their magic to high levels into Dragon Slayers is also a big problem." Ben added.
"That's right. Children who haven't learned magic or have only known it for a few years would have better progress. But everyone was against it because no one wanted to endanger the children by making them the dragon's targets and this made them fight the dragons instead." Future Lucy remarked.
Everyone's expressions became grim when Future Lucy told them the story. What happened in the future must be a lot worse than she described.
"Hmm? What about Gray?" Natsu asked.
Future Lucy's expression became a lot sadder. "Ben killed him after he became a dark mage following Juvia's death. She was killed by mages instead of dragons. So Gray quit the guild to get revenge on them. He went too far too and began targeting our guild. That's the reason Ben couldn't tolerate it anymore and executed him."
Now everyone was shocked because they never thought one of their own would turn into a dark mage and it was none other than Gray who isn't here right now. He must've been saddened after Juvia's death, but becoming a dark mage and even targeting their guild was too much.
Silence permeated the room before Ben broke it. "Phew, alright then, what's the plan? You have a plan, right?"
"Yeah, it's a plan your future self came up with. He was also the one who asked me to return and tell you this. We discovered that those dragons came from the past through the Eclipse Gate." Future Lucy said before Natsu interrupted her.
"So we just need to destroy that gate, right?" Natsu asked, pounding his fists together.
"No, we must open it. That gate collected a lot of magic power over the years. Destroying it will cause a massive explosion capable of engulfed half of this kingdom. Even ignoring it will make it self destruct because it will accumulate too much magic power. So we need to open it and let some dragons pass through before destroying it. Also, there will be someone important that will pass through it and Ben said you'll need her in the future." Future Lucy countered.
"Then what about the dragons?" Makarov asked.
"You need to kill them all except one. Ben will be able to tell you which one shouldn't be killed." Future Lucy said.
Ben realized what she meant. "Ah, he must be there too. As for the other dragons, I'm guessing my future self wanted us Dragon Slayers to power up using them."
"Correct. It might be hard, but your future self said that you guys can do it. He also wanted me to pass a message to you, Ben. You need to use everything you have, no need to hide your power anymore. But you need to wait before releasing your full power. Our Ben made a mistake going all out from the start, then he ran out of power when a bigger threat appeared." Future Lucy nodded.
"Acnologia." Ryu gritted his teeth. He would never forget their confrontation with him on Tenrou Island.
Everyone else's eyes widened and Future Lucy nodded, confirming it. Ben will certainly need his full power to defeat Acnologia.
"If you think it's too much to kill all the dragons, then you need to kill as many as you can. After that, you can push the remaining dragons back to the gate." Future Lucy said.
Ben nodded and everyone became serious because this would be a tough war.
"Um, when will this timeline happen?" The present Lucy asked.
"Midnight, when the day changes." Future Lucy answered.
"What?!" Everyone shouted in surprise.
"In that case." Kenshin gripped his staff tightly before making his way out of the room. He was B
"We only have a hour. It's 11pm right now." Mira said.
"Alright, let's not waste any more time and head to the castle right away. Master, please call everyone back. I will head to the castle with some of my guild mates." Ben said.
Makarov nodded before leaving to call the rest of the guild. Ben looked at Mira and she immediately knew what he wanted to say. She nodded and went to their room to evacuate with their children. Mira also planned to take all the children in their guild to evacuate.
Ben then gave orders to everyone in the room. He will take Lucy and Natsu to the castle. Laxus and Erza will aid Kenshin in leading their mages to fight in the war. Even if normal magic won't be effective against dragons, they'll still be able to damage the dragons no matter how small the damage is.
Everyone executes his orders and left the room to prepare. Ben then teleported to the castle with Bella, the two Lucy's and Natsu. They teleport directly to the Eclipse Gate to save some time. In that room was the king, princess, Arcadios, Darton and Yukino.
They were surprised and wanted to ask a question, but Ben spoke first. "I don't have time to explain, so follow my orders if you want this kingdom to survive. Call every mage in this city and evacuate all the civilians. Tell them to get as far away as possible within a hour because a catastrophe will befall this place."
"As I thought, 10,000 dragons will appear." Princess Hisui said.
"That's wrong, but also right at the same time. Anyway, this city will become a battlefield, so we need all mages here. You guys also need to evacuate because this war is too dangerous for ordinary people." Ben said.
They want to ask a question again, but Ben glared at them, compelling them to skip the question for now and start doing what Ben ordered. Yukino was the only one who stayed behind because her gold keys will be needed to open the gate.
"Let's open it now. The gate needs time to charge before it can fully open." Future Lucy said.
Ben took a deep breath and said, "Phew, let's prevent this bad future."
