A/N: The heights of the armour Etc are based on fallout 4 and some stuff I had to make up based on what I could gather and felt right for the story it will average about 1ft of added height in power armour ill keep the super mutants at 8ft to 10ft and behemoths to 25ft to 30ft.
The character descriptions probably won't be as detailed all the time its just as the main pairing I want to paint a good picture most of us know what Sarah Lyons looks like, but I definitely had to write a good proper description for our protagonist.

Chapter 1:
Sarah Lyons approached Fort Independence way behind schedule. The sun was starting to set all because they had encountered a Group of super mutants in the tunnels where a fire fight had broken out as each group traded fire she counted herself lucky that she had not lost any of the Pride but it had cost a good amount of ammunition and some new dents on their armour for only the lowest grunts of the super mutants while the Rifles used were powerful the mutants lacked the proper care for their equipment their shots were wildly inaccurate.

Sarah was lead from the front gate of fort independence to the Op Centre where she found Knight Captain Drew Talking with this new Maxson as she approached, she took in his appearance. He was tall even in power armour where most of the men in the brotherhood were at least 6ft out of armour and 7ft in Power armour he stood nearly half a head taller than Captain drew who still had his Helmet on. With his helmet he was probably 7ft 4" much taller than Sarah who while tall for the female members of the brotherhood was still slightly smaller than her male counter parts at 5ft 7" out of armour and 6ft 7" in armour. She took in his face the glow from monitors and dim lights showing high cheek bones and a well-kept beard a few scars likely from shrapnel were dotted around his face showing he was a seasoned warrior his hair a deep brown almost black was styled in a short fauxhawk likely to keep it out the way during combat and he had the same steel blue eye's as the young squire who had become her ward a short few years ago. While the squire's eyes were full of childlike intrigue even in the harsh wasteland his were alert in a way that Sarah herself saw in the mirror the eyes of a leader and of a soldier who while young had lost men under his command and seen the worst the wasteland had to offer. Even his posture seemed dangerous ready to react to anything that might crawl out of a dark corner or to rush to the frontline to defend a position she understood it well even in a seemingly friendly environment some survival instincts were hard to let go of.

Alasdair noticed the new arrivals entering the room the small team in power armour was hard to miss at the lead one of the shortest of the group their stature implied the person was female under their helmet and the markings on the armour denoted them as a sentinel as they removed their helmet, her face was revealed she was an attractive blonde with a pony tail showing her soft facial features and bright blue eyes that held a darkness to them the fresh dents on the armour showed they had to fight their way here which meant the situation was worse than he had gathered from Captain Drew the distance was roughly 30km an 7 to 8 hours of walking if short breaks were included at a slow pace in power armour if walking in a straight line but detours were expected even so for the outpost to not have a safe route to their main operating base was worrying where as in the Midwest friendly's would hardly be attacked by small arms fire on their way to most outposts only in areas such as Chicago was it a more common site with the Brotherhood and Enclave fighting over the area like a modern Stalingrad he just hoped it wouldn't come to that here.

Alasdair Began introducing himself doing a brief Brotherhood salute to the sentinel as a sign of respect. "Ad Victoriam Sentinel, Paladin Lord Alasdair Maxson of the Midwestern Brotherhood."

Sarah Saluted back and held out her hand to shake "Ad Victoriam Paladin Lord, Sentinel Sarah Lyons East Coast Brotherhood." After shaking hands, she began to address him. "Paladin Lord Before we can take you to the Citadel, I need to establish what your reasons for coming to the Capital wasteland are and whether they are possible to fulfil."

"Thank you, Sentinel, my main reason for being here is my distant nephew Arthur with his father gone and him being sent away from lost hills due to the damnable politics there I wanted to be closer to the boy it's already been cleared with the Elder Council of The Midwest they believe it's important for the brotherhood to be better united. Surprisingly the High Elder at Lost Hills agreed to this too. Between You and me Lady Maxson's Health is declining so it's unlikely she would be able to make a trip this far east the Elder's all believe it will be good for Arthur to have family close when the time comes. Apart from that if me and my team will be spending time here, I think it's important to learn the current strength here and threats we are dealing with. Already I've heard some disconcerting things from your Knight Captain and fully restoring communications to the Rest of the Brotherhood seems like the best course of action. Your Chapter has been isolated from the rest of the Brotherhood for too long and if the Enclave Surfaces here like they have in Chicago we want to deal with them as soon as possible we Do not want them to dig in." Alasdair Replied Ending with a sharp look in his eyes.

"While I agree that we need to connect to the rest of the Brotherhood we are stretched thin there is some of the largest groups of super mutants concentrated in this area we are fighting a losing war against them as it is having to fight the Enclave at the moment with our current strength seems impossible and while I would love to jump head first into combat to try and secure DC we don't even know where either of are coming from. We have yet to see a single enclave soldier. They are not the immediate threat but the super mutants mean we are stuck to the citadel and a few outpost like this one we have barely got a hold on a few strong points of Downtown DC." She finished trying her best to outline their situation.

"Look sentinel me and my team are here to stay while your Chapter is in some dire straights its not impossible to turn this around and we can more than likely get reinforcements and equipment for you from the Midwest at the very least. I know that Appalachia is relatively secure so they should be able to provide support and even the Brotherhood in the Gulf should be able to support you they have some Boats and are adept at fighting some of the largest sea creatures I've seen They can secure the water ways for you and be a good place for bringing in supplies needed. Lost hills Likely wont send any support the NCR has a hold over the Whole area and we barely pushed them back in the Mojave that's their focus and Montana is busy preparing for a fight against an Enclave group up near Yellow stone The Chapter down in the Alamo Might send some Support but they are busy with their own super mutants and a Chapter more rouge than the rest of us in Texas was quite an expedition but Elder Rusk went rouge thinking he was some sheriff of the wasteland or something. Washington is a bit of a longshot they have some of the largest military presence of any chapter but 'The Immortal' as he likes to call him self is more focused on some project or something, but he has sent support to Montana So that's something. Either way there's at least three chapters able to help now. What I need now is a Deep range Transmitter and Roads Clear All the way to the Citadel if we are going to do this we need clear routes for logistics for now we can give them the route I took to get here but we can't use Fort Independence as a staging ground forever it wont be possible to move the equipment and materials to the Citadel if we can't use the trucks. What's the Situation at Donald Reagan National Airport? if we can hold it we can get some limited air support Most likely from a Lancer Captain I know In the Midwest and Be able to move Supplies straight to the Citadel with Brahman. That Should be enough hopefully to truly bring the fight to the super mutants here and prepare us for when the enclave shows itself. This is why the Radio is the most important." Alasdair emphasised doing his best to persuade Sarah.

"Ok I see your point we will still need to talk to the Elder to see if he will agree to this, but you have me sold. We have been fighting small Skirmishes with a group of mercenaries over the airport neither of us have been able to hold it but currently the runway is not completely ruined but none of the aircraft work we had the scribe's asses the area when we first arrived, and it was deemed of secondary importance over the Citadel. That's Enough questions for now we will make our way to the to the Citadel at first light you'll have to leave your Vehicles here for now But I'm Sure Knight Captain Drew will look after them for you" She finished looking towards Drew who nodded his head.

"Very well Sentinel, Knight Captain Good night." Alasdair responded and made his way out the room past the rest of the Lyons Pride who he gave brief nods and towards where his team would be bunking for the Night tomorrow would be a long day he just hoped that they would be able to get this Chapter to a better standard Arthur deserved that much.
