He thought that she'd be the perfect mate for Edward, but she's much too independent for him. What happens when the Denali's come to New York to visit the Cullen's? Will Bella find her mate? Bella POV
Esme had called us all into the living room for a family meeting. She told us that our cousins the Denali's were coming for a visit. Edward wasn't happy about it, but I think that had more to do with Tanya. She'd been telling him for years that they were mates but he didn't want to believe it. Esme told us that they had a new coven member that they wanted to introduce us to. I was hoping that it was a guy. Don't get me wrong.. I love Carlisle and Esme but Edward and I were never meant to be together and I wanna find that person I'm meant to be with.
Eleazar POV
Carmen had been a great companion these past few months but I knew that she wasn't my mate.
As we traveled to New York to meet their cousins the Cullen's, I couldn't help this feeling that things were about to change and possibly for the better.
Bella POV
The entire family had gathered on the front porch to greet the Denali's. Since we lived in a somewhat populated area they had rented an SUV. When they climbed out, I couldn't help but admire their beauty. Carlisle had once described them as succubae. He said that they used their beauty to lure men in and that was how they fed until they'd met Carlisle and he'd introduced them to the animal diet. But the one that caught my attention was the only male, who had a beautiful brunette draped over his arm. And I knew. I knew in that instant…this man was my mate.
Eleazar POV
When we arrived at the Cullen's house and climbed out of the SUV that we'd rented, I took in the appearance of the coven. I could pinpoint Carlisle and Esme immediately. Their body language screamed coven leaders. Then there was three guys. Two of them each had their arm around a girl (their mates I assume). The third guy stood next to a brunette. When I locked eyes with her, I pushed Carmen off me. I knew. This brunette was my mate.
Bella POV
Later that night, everyone had gone hunting except for Eleazar and myself. I walked into the living room to find him sitting there reading a book. I leaned against the doorframe. "You can feel the connection, can't you?" he asked me.
I nodded. "I can. The question is what do we do?" I asked.
"We could always join the Volturi." Eleazar said.
I smiled. Aro had been after me for years. "Sounds good to me. I'll go pack." I said.
