Chapter 6: The "Talk" With Run

The next morning arrived, and the Yuuki household began with their usual antics. Of course, Momo was clad in only her panties while waking up in Rito's bed. Of course, this time, she wasn't alone. Nemesis poked her head out too, and she was completely naked. Naturally, it was only then that Rito woke up and got a face full of bare breasts from Momo and Nemesis.

(Rito): Oof. *His mouth glomps onto Nemesis' and Momo's breasts*

(Nemesis): Yahhhh…. (moaning)

(Momo): Iyannnn…(moaning)

Of course, it is at that moment that Mikan, Lala, Haruna, Nana and Celine walk into the room. Haruna blushes and gets swirly eyes due to seeing Momo and Nemesis being scantily clad in bed with Rito, and Rito sucking on their breasts. As usual, Nana goes to attack Rito and put him in a headlock.

(Nana): You filthy beast! Why does the day always begin like this with you?!

(Rito): Nana…Can't breathe.

(Haruna): Wh…What does she mean by "the day always begins like this with him"?

(Mikan): Momo always sneaks into Rito's bed and does who knows what.. and this baka Rito always just obliviously lets it happen.

(Haruna): I…I don't know how to feel about that.

(Momo): Ara…Maybe you should join us next time Haruna.

Haruna blushes and nearly faints at the suggestion. Eventually, Nana stops choking Rito and everyone turns their attention to Nemesis.

(Rito): Nemesis, what are you doing here anyway?

(Nemesis): I just wanted to see you. It was so boring without you and Momo at school yesterday. However, you should have heard the students. All of you who were connected to the fight are the talk of the school.

(Rito): Really? What are people saying?

(Nemesis): Well for starters, Rito has practically become public enemy number one amongst some factions of the school for breaking Run's heart. They are calling him things such as "heart breaker Yuuki".

Rito: O_O

(Nemesis): Furthermore, some people are saying that Haruna needs a rematch against Run, while others are saying that Run needs a rematch against Lala.

(Haruna): I…don't want a rematch. I just want all the conflict to stop.

(Lala): Same here.

(Rito): Yeah. We're facing enough trouble as it is with threats of assassins and kidnappers.

(Nemesis): Wait… what?!

Rito proceeds to explain the Memorzian threat to Nemesis.

(Nemesis): Wow…this has gotten more serious than I imagined.

(Rito): Yeah, it has. Me, Lala, Haruna and Momo are planning on going over to Run's house today to see if we can talk things out and resolve things peacefully. Also, Kyouko will be joining us.

(Nemesis): I see. Well I'm glad you told me about these assassins and kidnappers. I'll tell Yami and Mea about it as well so that they can be on the lookout too.

(Rito): Thanks Nemesis.

(Nemesis): No problem. I also wanted to check to see if you guys are still coming to Mea's party next weekend.

(Rito): Yeah, we should still be able to come. In fact, we already bought our gifts.

(Nemesis): Cool. Well I'm going to head off.

(Rito): Alright. Bye.

With that, Nemesis disappears in a cloud of dark matter. At that moment, Haruna turns to Lala.

(Haruna): By the way Lala, were you able to delete those videos from the internet?

(Lala): Oh yeah. I deleted them last night with my video video eraser-kun.

(Haruna): Oh thank goodness!

Little did Lala know, that it would have been beneficial had she checked the internet about an hour or so later than she did. Everyone proceeded to eat breakfast and get dressed. Mikan and Nana then went off to school, while Rito, Lala, Haruna, Momo and Celine stayed behind. Today was the day that they were going to Run's house to talk things over with her. Momo, having heard the conversation between Rito and Kyouko the previous night, was worried about what Rito would say to Run.

(Momo): Rito…what exactly are you going to say to Run? I can't help but worry, considering some of the stuff that you said last night.

(Haruna): What did he say?

(Momo): Well, in a nutshell, he basically admitted to not liking Run very much due to some alarming incidents involving her in the past. For example, Rito, you mentioned that she tried to rape you and she tried to control you and make you take lewd pictures of her?

(Haruna/Lala): SHE WHAT?!

(Momo): And… you also admitted to liking Kyouko better than Run.

(Lala): Is that true Rito?

(Haruna): I suppose it would make sense for you to like Kyouko better than Run if Run has done all these bad things to you.

(Rito): Yeah…Everything that Momo just said is true. However, I don't necessarily hate Run. I just don't really feel very close to her though.

(Momo): Yeah, and that's exactly why I'm worried about what you're going to say to her. Depending on how you spin it, the situation could end up becoming worse.

(Rito): I know. That's why I'm going to come clean with Run and discuss all these incidents. And…I'm going to tell her the truth that I'm willing to be her friend, but she'd be better off focusing her affections on someone else.

(Momo): So in other words, you're going to break her heart?!

(Rito): What choice do I have? Besides, this is better than leading her on and giving her false hope.

Suddenly, Rito's phone buzzes with a text message. It's from Kyouko.

(Kyouko's text): I'll meet you guys in the park near Run's place. We can walk over to Run's place from there.

(Rito's text): Okay

(Rito): That was Kyouko. We'll meet up with her at the park by Run's place.

(Everyone): Okay.

With this, everyone set out to the park to meet with Kyouko. Upon arriving at the park, everyone exchanged greetings and then set off for Run's house. During the walk to Run's house, Rito noticed that random people would take quick glances at their group and murmur things and look away.

(Rito): Hey, do you guys notice that people are staring and murmuring about us?

(Haruna): They probably recognize us from the news from the other night.

(Kyouko): That… and also from last night's news.

(Rito): Last night's news?! What do you mean?! Nothing happened last night.

(Kyouko): You…you haven't seen the latest story have you? Well… oh, we're here.

The group suddenly arrived at Run's place and knocked on the door.

(Rito): Run, it's me Rito, along with Kyouko, Lala, Haruna, Momo, and Celine. We'd really like to have a talk with you.

Upon hearing this, Run came to the door. However…

*SMACK!*

Upon opening the door, Run smacked Kyouko straight in the face!

(Run): YOU TRAITOROUS MAN STEALING WENCH!

(Haruna/Lala/Momo): O_O?!

(Rito): RUN…WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?! Kyouko, are you okay?

(Kyouko): I'm fine. Run, I think I know what this is about, but just in case, tell me what that was for.

(Run): As if you don't know! Look at this!

Run pulls out the newspaper from last night and shows it to everyone. Upon reading it, Lala's face becomes notably agitated, but nobody notices it. Everyone sees the story about Rito and Kyouko supposedly having a steamy make out session in public the previous evening.

(Run): Kyouko, I thought you were my friend. I trusted you, and you do this?! You go behind my back and make out half naked with the boy who I like and who you know hurt me?!

(Kyouko): Run, just let me explain. This isn't…

(Run): SHUT UP! I bet you and Rito were just using me to get to each other this whole time, weren't you?! I didn't miss the part of this article where Rito said that he likes you better than me!

(Kyouko): Run…no. I was never using you, and neither was Rito!

(Run): Oh…but you don't deny the part about Rito liking you better than me?!

(Kyouko): Run, if you'll just listen to me…

*SLAP!*

Run slaps Kyouko again. At this point Rito, was starting to see red in rage. The other girls were too.

(Run): Just leave and don't come back! That goes for all of you!

Run moved to slam the door in their faces. However, before the door could completely shut, Rito grabbed the door and then grabbed Run by the collar with both hands.

(Rito): RUN, WILL YOU JUST SHUT THE HECK UP FOR ONCE IN YOUR FREAKING LIFE AND LISTEN?!

Haruna, Momo, and even Lala were shocked to the core at this display (although they agreed with Rito). They had never seen Rito get this angry and physical with a girl.

(Rito): Now listen Run, the story that you see in the paper was the result of one of my usual pervy accidents. I tripped and fell and you know how that tends to turn out with me. We didn't really have a make out session. Our lips just accidentally touched when we fell and someone apparently caught it on camera. However, that's not what we came here to talk to you about. First for the more pressing matter, are you aware that your parents are threatening to send assassins and kidnappers after me and Lala?

(Run): WHAT?! No, I have not heard of this.

(Rito): I see. We were informed of this recently by Lala's parents. Apparently, your parents contacted them after seeing the news broadcast about your fight with Lala and Haruna. Your parents were pissed at seeing that you got beaten up, and they gave demands for retribution to Lala's parents. They want Gid and Sephie to either hand me over to you to marry, publicly execute me, have Lala issue a nude public apology to you, or to have Lala allow herself to be beaten on camera by the Memorzians. Of course, Gid refused all of those demands, so your parents threatened that Lala and I better watch our backs.

(Run): I see. Well, I will talk to my parents and see if I can get them to rescind the threats against you personally, Rito. However, I don't care what happens to Lala!

Everyone's face contorted in anger at this statement.

(Rito/Lala): Run!

(Run): Lala, dating back to even when we were kids, you always made my life miserable! Testing your stupid inventions on me! Putting me in dangerous situations such as pushing me off of mountains! Now, not only do you possess the heart of the boy I like, but I can't even get in a conversation with him without you interrupting and causing him to forget about my existence! Then you beat me up! I can't stand you Lala! I've never liked you!

Lala's face contorted into a rare expression of pain.

(Lala): Run, I may not have been the best of friends to you, and for that I'm sorry. However, when it comes to your and my respective relationships with Rito, I cannot apologize or sympathize with you. Some disturbing things have come to light about your history with Rito.

(Run): What disturbing things?

(Rito): Run, for just about as long as I've known you, it has been one problematic thing after another with you. One minute, you're unleashing that skunk of youth on everyone. The next minute, you're lying to Kyouko and getting me involved in your life by telling her that I'm your boyfriend. There was also that time at the pool when you tried to sabotage everyone by having those fish rip off all the girls' swimsuits. What was that even about? Come to think of it, you even used to stalk me! However, you went too far when you used that mind control camera to make me take the lewd pictures of you, and it was even worse when you tried to use that mind control pheromone perfume or whatever to try to force me to have sex with you in class! Run, you do realize that this is rape right? You actually tried to rape me! This latest fight with Lala and Haruna, which you started by throwing the first punches by the way, is just another strike on your record (though I will say that it was wrong of me to ignore your existence). Run, this is why I said that I like Kyouko better than you. Your and my relationship up to this point has been more trouble than it has been positive. Even your treatment of Kyouko just now was awful. Listen Run, a part of this is my fault for not answering your feelings sooner. However, this just isn't going to work between us Run. I'm just going to put it bluntly. I'm willing to be friendly with you Run, but you should focus your romantic affections elsewhere. You're simply not my type. I sincerely hope however, that we don't have to be hostile towards each other, and I hope that you will talk to your parents about their threats against both me and Lala (not just me). Please Run, I'm begging you. Let's just have a clean break.

Hearing Rito's words shook Run to the core. Run literally started shaking before bursting into tears and falling to the ground.

Run: *Crying* Wahhhhhhhh!

Run's heart was utterly broken. Rito felt kind of bad seeing Run crying on the ground of her own house. However, it had to be done. It was at this moment that Ren walked into the house with grocery bags. He took a good look at Run crying on the ground, and at Rito and everyone else. Ren's heart was filled with rage at that moment. He dropped his grocery bags and ran over to Rito and grabbed his shirt.

Ren: YUUKI, WHAT HAPPENED HERE?! WHAT DID YOU DO TO RUN?!

Rito: Nothing Ren. I just told her how I really feel and I made it clear to her that I'm just not the guy for her. I feel bad for making her cry, but it…

*PUNCH*

Rito didn't even get to finish his sentence because Ren punched him square in the face.

Ren: YUUKI, YOU BASTARD! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!

Ren got on top of Rito and started repeatedly punching him in the face. Seeing Rito get beaten caused something to stir within all the girls who came with Rito. Even Celine started crying. Suddenly, Lala picked Ren up off of Rito and punched him in the face. Then she jacked Ren up against the wall.

Lala: Ren, listen! Rito didn't do anything wrong here! All he did was speak his honest feelings to Run, which needed to be spoken. It was your sister who has tried to control and rape Rito! It was your sister who stalked Rito! It was your sister who picked a fight with me and Haruna! I am so sick of your constant unwarranted antagonism towards Rito! *PUNCH*

Lala punches Ren in the face again.

(Lala): Ren, if you ever lay a hand on Rito again or try to harm him in any way, I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF! THAT ALSO GOES FOR THE MEMORZIAN ASSASSINS THAT YOUR PARENTS ARE THREATENING ME AND RITO WITH! HAVE YOUR PARENTS CALL THEM OFF OR ELSE I WILL HAVE THE FULL MIGHT OF THE DEVILUKE EMPIRE COME DOWN ON YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

With that, Lala let Ren drop to the floor. Everyone in the room was utterly stunned. Nobody uttered a word. Not even a mau from Celine. Run looked on in horror. Rito and Ren were both sporting black eyes and swollen faces, but they were both conscious and otherwise uninjured. There was nothing left to be said, and things were tense enough as it was, so Rito and his group decided to leave. Aside from asking Rito if he was in pain (to which he responded no), nobody uttered a word on the way back to Rito's house (Kyouko also joined them in going back to Rito's house instead of parting ways immediately and going back to her own house).

Later that night, back at Run and Ren's house, Ren was on a video call with his parents. He proceeded to tell them about the day's events (about how Rito came over just to break Run's heart, and how Lala assaulted and threatened him). He then ended with a shocking declaration.

(Ren): Mom, Dad, call off the assassins. Instead of doing that…I want to kill Rito Yuuki, Lala Satalin Deviluke and anyone else who gets in my way myself!
