Chapter 2: We Are One:
Kiara's POV:
I stepped out of the cave and took a look around. "Wow," I said. I was about to run out, but my Dad grabbed me.
"Hold it right there, Young Lady," says Dad.
"Daddy," I said.
"It's too dangerous out there," says Dad.
"Didn't you ever do fun stuff," I asked.
"Yes, and I was almost eaten by hyenas, my Father died in a stampede, and my uncle turned this place into a nightmare!"
"But I'm sure that won't happen again," I said, "you don't even have a brother!"
"Kiara, I'm just trying to keep you safe," says Dad.
"I just want to go exploring," I said.
"Alright, but take Timon and Pumbaa with you," I said.
"Do I have to," I asked.
Timon and Pumbaa then pop out of the ground. "Reporting for duty," says Timon.
We just stared at them. "How long were you guys buried there," asks Dad.
"I don't know," says Pumbaa, "what day is this?"

I was with Dalila, Bunga and Binga's daughter. "Are they babysitting you again," asks Dalila.
"Yep," I said.
"Don't worry, Princess Kiara," says Pumbaa.
"A princess is just half of who I am," I said.
"Oh... well, what's the other half," asks Pumbaa.
I had no way to answer that. "I'm... I'm... I'm..." I thought I had it, but then I had to think again, then I thought I had it, but I had to think again and that kept going on.
"Well, while you're figuring that out," says Timon, "let's get some grub!" He then grabbed some bugs.
"Oh boy," says Dalila.
I was disgusted. I then took this opportunity to sneak away.

As I was sneaking, I ran into this other cub. I was not turning my back on him. "Why aren't you running," he asks.
"My Father said to never turn my back on strangers," I said.
"Oh, so you always do what Daddy says? Well, we outlanders never listen to anyone!"
"Cool," I said.
We then saw something running towards us. "Run," says the other cub.
We were running. "Wait, I think I know what it is," I said, "do what I do!"
We then stuck out both our hind legs and she tripped. "It's a cheetah!"
"That's Fuli," I said, "she hardly ever stops."
"I'm dizzy!" Fuli then falls to the ground.
We then laughed. "I'm Kovu."
"I'm Kiara," I said.
Then this lioness came. She growled at me, but then my Dad came. "Zira," says my Dad.
"Simba," says Zira.
"Zira," says Mom.
"Nala," says Zira.
"Timon, Pumbaa," says Timon, "now that we all know each other... GET OUT OF OUR PRIDE LANDS!"
"Your pride lands," asks Zira, "these pride lands belonged to Scar!"
"Scar rules nothing," says my Dad, "and you are not welcome here."
"Would you say that to my son," asks Zira, "this is Kovu and Scar chose him to be his heir!"
"That's no king," says Timon, "that's a fuzzy maraca!"
"Leave," says Dad.
"Very well," says Zira. She then takes Kovu, and the outlanders left.
"Timon, Pumbaa, pick up Fuli," says Dad.

"Kiara, you have to be careful," says Dad, "when you become queen..."
"But what if I don't wanna be queen," I asked.
"That's like saying you don't wanna be a lion," says Dad, "it's in your blood, as I am."
