Chapter 6: Good King Simba:

Kiara's POV:

I haven't seen Kovu for years and he just showed up and saved me. What are the odds? But no one really trusts him.

"I left the out lands," says Kovu, "all I ask it that you allow me to stay here with all of you."

"Are you out of your mind," asks Timon.

"It is your decision," says Zazu.

"You did save my daughter," says Simba, "so, fine, but we will be keeping an eye on you."

"Thank you," says Kovu, "now, if you don't mind, what's going on here."

"Oh, it's a celebration of the day Simba defeated Scar," says Zazu.

Rafiki: Today is the day we celebrate
The most wondrous victory
Let everyone participate
From Pride Rock to the tallest tree
He fought bravely for freedom
He returned to make things right
So, every time that you see him
You can shout with delight for

Pride Landers: Good King Simba
All: Hail hail hail to the King
Hail hail hail to the King
Hail hail hail to the King
Hail hail hail to the King!

"Wow, they sure like him here," says Kovu.

"Well, he did save the pride lands," I said.

Kovu's POV:

I was alone. "Hello there," says this lion, "I'm Kopa. I understand you saved my betrothed. Well done... what was your name again?"

"Kovu," I said.

"Kopa and Kovu. Now that's funny."

"Well... hi." I then extended my paw.

"Woah, you're still an outlander and I'm not going to touch an outlander. I hear you guys eat your young and mate with the dead!"

"Where did you even hear that," I asked.

"From those guys," says Kopa.

"Outlanders eat their young and mate with the dead!"

"Creepy, huhh? I've been trying to ditch them all day. Well, see ya around." Kopa then leaves.

"Poor Kiara," I said.

"Never mind her," says Scar.

"What are you doing here," I asked, "don't you think someone would notice the giant fiery lion head?"

"I just want to know your progress," says Scar.

"Well... they're allowing me to stay... but they don't seem to trust me," I said.

"Trust takes some time... wait, someone's coming!" Scar then leaves.

"I thought I saw a fire," says Zazu.

"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... you... didn't," I lied.

"I see... by the way, I have something to show you," says Zazu.

. . .

He took me to this canyon. "A lot of space," I said.

"Yes," says Zazu, "this was where... Scar caused that wildebeest stampede that killed Mufasa!"

"Oh... that's... tragic..."

"Yes, he even tricked Simba into believing it was his fault," says Zazu, "a shame really. Simba trusted Scar and then that incident happened. But I'm sure we won't have to worry about betrayal again..." He then got in my personal space. "Will we?"

"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... no," I said.

"Good, because I would have to hate to inform Simba of any... backstabbing. Have a good day." He then flew off.

"He is surprisingly scary for a bird," I said, "wait... Scar..."

Scar then appeared. "Don't worry about Zazu, he's pathetic," says Scar.

"Is what he said... true," I asked.

"Remember this Kovu, sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to get what you want!" Scar then leaves.
