AN: This fic was inspired by a reddit thread prompt.

Harry was living his happiest time in his life. But before those happy times, there was the hardest time of his life. At the end of his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter was tricked into going to the ministry to rescue his godfather Sirius, but it was a trap set by Voldemort. Sirius went to rescue him with other members of the order, the fight with the death eaters became more intense, until Bellatrix sent a spell towards Sirius, but Sirius avoided it. Voldemort arrived and sent a killing curse directly towards Harry. Sirius tried to protect Harry and shield him, but Harry shoved him aside and was hit by the spell.

Harry didn't die, he was in a state between alive and dead. He was at the waystation where he met his mum Lily, she explained everything to him, that he had a soul shard of Voldemort in his scar, that Voldemort was using soul anchors named horcruxes, that Dumbledore did wrong to him during the year that he feared the soul shard so much, but he also handled it in the worst way possible. Lily also explained that because of her protection and Voldemort using his blood in his resurrection, Voldemort himself was a soul anchor to Harry and that he was allowed to come back to life. Harry came back to life but he faked being dead for the time being.

Sirius went berserk after he saw Harry being hit by the killing curse. Sirius saw that Voldemort was weakened after killing Harry, so he sent his strongest blasting curse and destroyed his body, then he quickly killed his cousin Bellatrix and her husband Rodolphus.

Dumbledore arrived at the scene and Harry allowed himself to show his status as alive. Sirius quickly hugged Harry, letting himself cry for the first time since James and Lily died.

The minister and his workers arrived at the crime scene, they almost arrested Sirius, but Dumbledore quickly intervened sending Harry and Sirius to his office at Hogwarts.

Then everything went in a blur for Harry. Sirius and Dumbledore had a big shouting match. Sirius argued against Dumbledore's logic, that isolating Harry was the worst thing he could do. Sirius also argued against the logic of Snape being the one that taught Harry occlumency, "If you teaching occlumency to Harry was so dangerous that you feared Voldemort getting information, why you didn't consider that having your spy as his occlumency tutor would be worse?" Dumbledore also mentioned the prophecy and that the power that Voldemort didn't know about was love, but all three agreed that the prophecy was stupid and that the best way was to try to prevent Voldemort's return again. But the first good news arrived with the minister Cornelius Fudge willing to accept Voldemort's short-lived return and willing to question the official story about Sirius.

The incident at the ministry made Hermione lose her respect for him and cut ties with him. Ron was basically her only friend now.

Sirius had a trial and was allowed to get Harry's custody, then he sent a letter to all of the printed media that existed asking them and demanding the ministry to do a public apology. Sirius was also given an Order of Merlin second class for destroying Voldemort's body and killing Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange.

Harry had the best summer and was able to visit the Weasleys every week. That's when he realized his feelings for his best friend's little sister Ginny and started dating her. He took her on dates all over the UK, with Sirius and Tonks as their chaperones.

Sirius and other Order members started to sabotage Voldemort's ritual ingredients and looking for the soul anchors in order to prevent another return. Sirius found out that one of the soul anchors was at the Black family home. Sirius was still angry at Kreacher, but he heard him out about Regulus and Slytherin's locket, then Sirius destroyed the locket, first by opening it with an imperiused snake and then setting it on fiendfyre. Sirius then freed Kreacher and set number 12 Grimmauld Place on Fiendfyre. Sirius then received an owl of his cousin Andromeda because she inherited Bellatrix's vault, there they found Hufflepuff's cup.

Harry returned to school happy with his new relationship and his new position as captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team. It was in one of their dates that Luna approached them, "Hey, Harry and Ginny, I'm inviting you to my harem." Harry was flustered and started blushing.

Ginny smirked, "We accept your invitation!"

Harry looked at Ginny, "What?!"

Ginny smiled, "Harry, don't be shy, you deserve all the love. Please admit to yourself that you want to be there!" Harry nodded.

Luna said, "Meet us outside the room of requirement after dinner."

A while later at the Headmaster's office, a concerned Minerva said, "Albus, there is something worrying me. Miss Lovegood was seen around asking various students to join her harem. Mr. Potter and Miss Weasley among them, it also seemed strange that Mr. Potter was the only male to be asked to join that harem."

Albus burst out laughing, "Minerva, there's nothing to worry about. Miss Lovegood was reported to give interesting names to her projects. Something gives me the impression that Harry will discover something about himself there, at it would be beneficial to him."

Minerva narrowed her eyes, "I won't worry, if you say so."

Harry and Ginny went to the troll tapestry where they met other members of Luna's harem. The first one was Ginny's roommate and new chaser of the Gryffindor quidditch team, Demelza Robins. Another one was a Slytherin outcast from the year below Ginny's and sister to a yearmate to Harry, Astoria Greengrass. The last one was a Hufflepuff from Harry's year, Megan Jones.

The last to arrive was Luna herself, they all entered the Room of Requirement where Luna asked for a passage to Ravenclaw tower. Harry asked, "Don't you have a problem with your roommates?"

"After I went to the ministry with you, they mostly leave me alone."

Harry wrapped himself in the invisibility cloak in order to not draw attention to himself and the group went to Ravenclaw tower. When they got to Luna's dorm, they all went inside Luna's special trunk.

They all sat in a round table to drink tea, Luna addressed the group, "I called this a harem because we are all girls and I was looking for all the girls that had some attraction to other girls."

Harry looked at Luna dumbfounded, "What?!"

Luna looked at his eyes and said, "You can go up the girl stairs."

"So, what?"

Ginny explained, "Boys can't go up the girl stairs. The stairs have a charm that makes sure of that."

"Maybe the charm faded?"

"Let's test it. I'll taunt my ex-boyfriend into going up the stairs."

Ginny went down the stairs and walked towards the Ravenclaw common room with Harry following her from a distance. Ginny approached Michael Corner that was talking with Terry Boot and Oliver Rivers and sent him a bat bogey hex.

Michael yelled, "What's your problem? I thought you were busy being Potter's whore." Michael then rushed towards the girl stairs, a loud alarm sounded and the stairs turned into a slide.

Ginny turned towards Harry, "See?"

Harry returned to Luna's trunk, isolated himself in a corner and started to cry, "I'm a freak! My aunt was right!"

Ginny slapped Harry, "No you aren't. This is something that happens, I still love you!"

Demelza asked, "Captain, did you ever have intrusive wishes to become a woman?"

Harry looked at the eyes of the younger girl and noticed her sincerity, "I did when I was little, but then I suppressed them because the Dursleys treated me like a freak already, so any other behavior out of normal would have worsened their abuse."

Demelza hugged Harry.

Harry sat down and explained everything to the girls, Ginny was hugging him from one side and Demelza was hugging him from the other. At the end of his retelling, they all were crying.

Astoria who was quiet handed a book to Harry, "People like you have been described in books, it's called being transgender, here is some information. Being transgender is somewhat accepted in the wizarding world. Being a witch that loves witches, not so much."

Ginny took Harry's hand, "Harry, I accept you, I'm sure my brother will accept you too. I love you and will always love you. Let's go to madam Pomfrey. Call Sirius as well, I think he will accept you as well."

The day after that at the hospital wing, Ginny explained everything to Poppy Pomfrey. Poppy decided to test Harry with Polyjuice Potion, "Normally when you are transformed into someone of the opposite gender, you'll feel miserable. Your girlfriend brought some hairs of her friends, and also a hair from herself. It will take all the afternoon, but we'll test all of the girls, if you feel better in a girl's body than a boy's, we can start preparing the sex change ritual."

Sirius said, "Harry, if being a girl is better for you, I support you. I know that Nymphadora will support you as well."

Harry spent the day under the effect of Polyjuice. Harry transformed into Katie, Demelza, Ginny, Megan, Luna, and Astoria. Harry confirmed that she felt better in a female body than in a male body.

They waited until the next full moon where the ritual could be performed. Harry was able to freeze her sperm in case she wanted to have children.

The ritual was observed by Madam Pomfrey, Minerva McGonagall, and Albus Dumbledore, "I told you Minerva, Harry discovered something about herself, something beneficial."

The setup for the ritual was like this, there was a circle with a seven-pointed star inscribed. On each point of the star there was a flask with incomplete Polyjuice potion. The moonlight illuminated every flask. Harry was laying at the center of the star. Poppy started saying some incantations while the potions glowed. Then one by one, the potion started to float from the flasks towards Harry, enveloping her body. The potion then formed a bubble that enveloped Harry and glowed. The bubble levitated around three meters high and stayed there for about four hours. The bubble slowly went down and popped, revealing Harry with her new female body.

Another hour later Harry woke up, she was approached by McGonagall who asked, "In order to update the school registries, do you have a new name?"

Harry answered, "My name is Holly Lily Potter."

"Your new name will be registered. Albus is doing the paperwork with your guardian in order to update your name outside Hogwarts. You'll sleep in the hospital wing right now, I'll talk with your new roommates about your new situation."

The next day Holly woke up and the first people she saw were Ginny that was holding her hand, Ron that was on her other side, and surprisingly, Lavender and Parvati.

Lavender talked first, "Holly! Professor McGonagall explained everything, I'm glad to have a new roommate! We can help you in your first steps towards girlhood, you can borrow our uniforms while we owl order your new clothes!"

Parvati continued, "I'm sure that the little redhead you call girlfriend is looking forward to dress you up in the cutest clothing possible! Don't worry, we accept witches' witches, we used to experiment with each other. We sleep together sometimes."

Ron said, "You are still my best mate."

Holly asked, "What about Hermione?"

"I won't allow her get her hands on you."

Holly smiled.

After Holly left the hospital wing, Lavender, Parvati, Ginny, Katie, and Luna's harem, helped Holly choose new clothing and new beauty products.

Holly was trying the sleekeazy hair potion, "This works so well! My hair was worse than Hermione's."

Lavender laughed, "That potion was invented by your grandfather, it should work for you. Hermione used this for the yule ball but used it wrong. You have to dilute it on water because otherwise is sticky. The potion is all about making your hair softer, so it's easier to tame."

The school had diverse reactions towards Holly's change. Her other roommates, Hermione, Fay, and Lily, were avoiding her like the plague. Some male seventh years started to harass her every time she found herself alone. The quidditch team was all supportive. Slytherin started to hex her when they saw her, and Snape turned blind eyes to that. Holly didn't interact that much with Snape considering she didn't take potions because she couldn't fulfill the O requirement. Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs had mixed reactions. Some people started to send letters to the editors of the main printed media, slandering Holly.

Luna's harem had their new headquarters in the one-eyed witch passage and became a big support group. Astoria loved the new clubhouse, "This leads to Honeydukes? So, we can buy chocolate anytime we want?"

One day Holly and Hermione had a confrontation. "Sirius has been a bad influence on you. Seriously a woman? And a dyke? Snape was right, you are an attention seeker, just like your father. I'm glad that I'm the only Gryffindor on his class, we don't want people like you ruining my sight."

Holly in response just blew up a kiss towards her, Hermione ran away scared.

The Weasleys also had mixed reactions, George and Fred with their girlfriends Alicia and Angelina sent boxes filled with prank items to use for Holly and Ginny. Charlie sent a supportive letter to Ginny, "so, you are gay? Just like me! Don't hurt Holly!"

Molly sent a howler to Ginny, "I KNEW THAT SIRIUS BLACK WAS A BAD INFLUENCE! MY ONLY DAUGHTER LIKING GIRLS! QUIDDITCH IS A BAD INFLUENCE! I KNEW IT! YOU HAVE TO RETURN YOUR BROOM!"

Another howler got to Hollyy, "THIS IS HOW YOU PAY US FOR TREATING YOU LIKE OUR OWN SON? DECIDING TO TRANSFORM INTO A GIRL AND CORRUPTING OUR GINNY?"

The next day the daily prophet had in its frontpage a photo of Molly and Sirius dueling in Diagon Alley.

Ginny said, "Holly, don´t worry. If I'm disowned, I'll go to any of my brothers that aren't named Percy."

Megan Jones invited Luna's harem for Christmas. Holly went with Sirius. Ginny went with Ron, Bill, and Fleur. When they arrived at the house, they were received by Gwenog Jones. Ginny squealed in emotion. During the Christmas dinner Gwenog asked Luna's harem, "I heard you lot like quidditch. My sister has written me a lot about you."

Holly answered, "Me, Ginny, and Demelza, play for the Gryffindor quidditch team. Gin wants to go pro and play with you."

Gwen put her hands over the table, "Holly, don't you want to go pro as well? I've heard from Oliver Wood that you are good as well."

Holly answered, "I don't know. Being famous hasn't helped me that much and quidditch will keep me in the spotlight."

Gwenog refuted, "Counterpoint, you'll always be famous, but this time you'd be able to control the spotlight. What the press did to you last year was gross and an overstepping of boundaries. Being a quidditch player will give you a layer of protection to avoid bringing the attention to the part of your fame you don't like."

Demelza added, "Holly, that's a solution for your future. You wanted to be an auror but now you can't because you couldn't take the potions NEWT. This is a good alternative."

Ginny then went to show her chasing abilities to Gwenog. Ron met a cousin of Megan named Tamsin Applebee, she was a year older than him and played quidditch for Hufflepuff and a spark formed between them. Luna was entertaining the party with her strange conspiracy theories, one of Gwenog's teammates named Aster Shootingstar was amused by her. Megan was dancing with Astoria. The older Harpies were flirting with Sirius.

After the best Christmas party Holly ever had, the year passed without incidents. One day Remus Lupin went to Hogwarts in order to investigate the Room of Requirement, but avoided Holly like the plague.

It was at the end of the year that Dumbledore called Holly to his office. He was smiling, "Holly, we have good news. The last of Voldemort's soul shards was destroyed. I'm proud of you, you have been braver than I've ever been."

"But, professor Dumbledore, I haven't done that much!"

"You helped with Voldemort, yes. But I was talking about being open with your gender, and with your attraction to other girls."

"Did you have love problems?"

A tear dripped from Dumbledore's eye, "I had a lover when I was young. He almost led me to the dark side. After that I feared love. When I said that the power that Voldemort didn't know about is love it wasn't just about your mother's sacrifice. It was also because you don't fear it."

"Can I ask who was your lover?"

"Gellert Grindelwald."

Holly hugged Dumbledore, "Please try to look for happiness for yourself as well."

"I will."

As the year ended, Holly, Ginny, and Demelza were offered contracts to play in the Holyhead Harpies. They were also offered the opportunity to complete their education in their terms, taking the NEWTs in their own time.

Six months later, Holly and Ginny were allowed to play for the first team. They debuted in a match against their local rivals the Caerphilly Catapults. Ginny was able to score some key goals, while Holly got in the other team's heads with taunts and disruptions. Holly and Ginny danced in the air while they did their plays. Holly caught the snitch and the Harpies won 740-230. The two new Harpies flew circling each other until they kissed.

The next day, Holly and Ginny received a letter from Ginny's parents asking her and Holly to meet them at the Three Broomsticks.

When they arrived to the Three Broomsticks they saw that Ginny's parents looked miserable.

Molly approached the girls, "I thought that Sirius was a bad influence, I thought that I knew what's best for you two. But I saw that photo in the Daily Prophet and I saw that I've never seen you two as happy as that photo."

Holly and Ginny both embraced her.

Holly said, "Sirius changed my life, yes. But the thing he did the most was understanding me and giving me a place outside Hogwarts where I wasn't treated like trash. The main change of my life, was brought by Luna's harem, they helped me find my true identity."
