"what are you doing in my room?" she whispered as he walked towards her.

"this," he said pulling her towards him and in to a kiss. Running her hands up his chest she felt his muscles through the wet material that he still hadn't removed. Pulling away for air she said "we can't do this. My mom could hear us," closing her eyes she allowed him to kiss her again.

"she's gone out, something about your sister," he said stepping in and closing her door. placing his hands on her arms, he guided her backwards kissing her. Lizzie could feel the fire in the pit of her belly rising. The towel that she had wrapped around her body had fallen off and now lay in on the floor.

"one of us is wearing too much," she said, as she started to tug his shirt off. Placing his hands over hers he slowly took over removing his shirt. Running her hands up his arms, lizzie's fingers brushed over a scar on his right arm. Leaning down she placed a kiss on to the silvery, scar, Dutchy using his finger lifted her face and kissed her.

"you are still wearing too much," she said moving to undo the button on his jeans.

A sound of a car pulling up outside and the front door opening, distracted them, pulling back lizzie grabbed the towel and his shirt off floor and said with a look of terror in her eyes "we can't do this," pushing him towards the door.

"lizzie you home love," her dads voice rang up the stairs

"yeah dad. Can you do me a favour, can you get the shopping bags out of the boot of my car, I just ran straight in because of the rain, the key is on the side," she shouted back. Hearing her dad leave she opened her door and pushed Dylan out. "wait for me down in the snug," she said "Oh and put your shirt on," she added before placing a sweet kiss on his lips. Closing her door behind him, she grabbed some clean underwear and thick wool tights, pulled them on and then grabbed one of her vintage inspired skirts and a jumper and pulled them on. running a brush through her hair she managed to regain some control of the frizz that had started to happen. she grabbed a pair of heeled shoes that matched the asthic of her outfit , sat on her bed and pulled them on.

Opening her bedroom door, she heard her father talking to dutchy. walking down the stairs in to her snug, she saw her father standing in the doorway, talking to Dylan who was sat on one of the armchairs. looking up at her Dylan smiled at her. Looking over lizzie saw her dad was holding the bags from the back of her car.

"thanks dad," lizzie said taking the bags her dad was holding off him and placing a kiss on to his cheek. running the bags upstairs, lizzie dumped them on her bed, opening her wardrobe, she skimmed through the clothes trying to find her orange coat, but it was not there. Slamming the door shut, she ran back down to her snug. "Dad, when Charlie went out, did she have an orange wool coat with her?" she asked her dad who was still talking to Dylan.

"sorry I did not see, why?"

"because my one has vanished from my wardrobe and I know it was in there this morning," she said.

walking down the stairs to the hall, lizzie walked to the coat stand to see if she was mistaken that morning and her coat was hanging there. Unable to find it there she walked in to the living room and sat and waited for her mom and sister to return.

twenty minutes later her sister walked in to the room.

"Chalie, where's my coat. The orange one you took from my wardrobe? I know you took it because it was in there this morning and now it's not?" she asked angerly.

"i haven't seen it," her fifteen-year-old sister said however her face gave her away. storming out in to the hall, lizzie saw her mom holding and trying to hide her coat that was now covered in who knows what and looked ruined.

"CHARLIE WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO MY COAT?" lizzie yelled walking back in to the front room. "DO YOU NOW HOW MUCH THAT COST?" She continued looking at her sister who was playing on her phone. Lizzie grabbed the phone from her sister's hand and chucked it on to a chair on the other side of the room. Their dad walked in and said "lizzie what's all the shouting for?"

"Charlie did take my coat and ruined it and got mom to cover up as per usual," she said turning to her dad. Her mom walked in and over to her sister. "Calm down Elizabeth, it's just a coat," her mom said.

"just a coat, Just a coat. A coat I worked hard to be able to afford one I saved for, and you are allowing Charlie to get off. She has never had to save to get anything. Even when dad says no you go and get it for her," lizzie said. Her mother walked over to her and grabbed her arm, and hissed into her ear. "Calm down, our guest will hear," before saying "Charlie said it was an accident, so that will be the end of the matter,"

"accident or not mom, she shouldn't have taken the coat, you know I only wear it on special occasions. I am never going to be able to get another one like it again as it is five years old,"

"of cause you will, the vintage shops have lodes of coats," her mom said dismissing her.

"Charlie, you are grounded, no going out and you will be picked up from school every day and I am confiscating you phone and laptop, and you will have no allowance till you pay your sister back. How much was the coat lizzie?" their farther said walking over to the chair where lizzie had chucked her sisters phone.

"three hundred pounds, so it will take her years to pay me back," lizzie said turning to her dad.

"that's so un fair dad,"

"really Robert, Charlie said it was an accident, surely lizzie can get a new coat, without, "

"yes Marina, but Charlotte, took the coat without asking and ruined it. Charlie has to learn that her actions come with consequences. That is the end of the matter, Charotte please bring me your laptop," Robert said using Charlie's full name. Charlie, flounced off and thundered up the stairs. Lizzie walked out of the room and pulled her old coat off the coat stand and pulled it on before walking back into the living room.

"I won't need tea tonight mom, Dylan said he was going to buy me lunch at the pub, but we got caught in the rain so we are going out now, and before you say anything it's so he knows what the local is like," she said seeing the look of disapproval in her mom's eyes.

"have a nice time," her dad said placing a kiss on to lizzie's cheek.

Picking up her car keys lizzie walked out to her car. She was still mad at her sister and needed to calm down before driving. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath, opened her eyes, and got in to the car. looking out the windscreen she saw Dylan walking out of the door and towards the car. He struggled once again to get in to the front seat and put his belt on.

"How do you manage with this small car?" he asked as she started to reverse of the drive.

"Quite well as I never expected to be Ferring tall sexy Australian petty officers here there and everywhere," she answered not taking her eyes off the road.

"you think I'm sexy?" he asked but got his answer as her cheeks gave her away flushing scarlet.

"No comment," she said "now let me focus on my driving," she added.

She drove for about 20 minuets to a quiet country pub just outside the city and pulled up on to the carpark.

walking in to the bar, lizzie spoke to one of the waitresses, and asked for a table for two.

"this way, sir. Madam," the waitress said showing them to a table. Pulling a chair out for her, dutchy allowed lizzie to sit down before taking his seat opposite her.

"can I get you any drinks?" the waitress asked looking at Dylan.

"I'll have a beer," he said

"madam?" the waitress turned to lizzie.

"Um I'll have a lime and soda please,"

the waitress walked off after taking the drinks orders. Opening the one menu that the waitress left for them, lizzie started to decide what to have.

"umm I think I will have the blackened gammon, with egg and pineapple and triple cooked chips," she said closing the menu. A waiter brought their drinks over and placed them on the table. "can I take your food order?" he asked.

"I will have the blackened gammon, with egg and pineapple and triple cooked chips please oh and a side of onion rings," lizzie said.

"fillet steak, rare," Dylan said passing the menu back.

taking a sip of her drink, looking over of the rim of the glass at Dylan lizzie said "sorry about you hearing the argument, back at home, it's just my mom can never see the bad in my sister. It's never her fault,"

"Hey, it's fine," he said. They continued to talk until their food arrived.

"thank you" lizzie said to the waiter who brought the food out.

Cutting a piece of her gammon off she tasted it and closed her eyes. It was bliss. Opening her eyes, she saw Dutchy moving his fork over. Rapping his knuckles with the back of her knife she said "get you own," before cutting the smallest piece off for him and putting it on to his plate.

"so, the scar on your arm, what happened?" she asked

"I got shot, it was more of a flesh wound though, we had a terrorist on the ship, she was meant to be on our side but played us, we lost swain, the guy who patched you up," he said taking a swig of his beer.

"sorry," lizzie said reaching her hand over and placing it over his and squeezed it. They spent the rest of the meal in silence until they had finished and a waiter came to collect the plates.

"would you like to see the dessert menu?" he asked as he picked up the two plates. Dylan looked over at lizzie, before saying "please," Turning to lizzie "I take it you would like one?" he asked

"Hmm, maybe, or we could share one," she said with a glint in her eye. "I mean only if you want to," she added.

looking over the menu, lizzie used her finger to point to the dessert that would be ideal for two people. "this one," she said showing it to Dylan. She had chosen raspberry meringue kisses. A raspberry mousse sandwiched between two meringues kisses.

"I just need to nip to the toilets, I be back in a minuet," lizzie said standing up and walking across the bar to the toilets. standing at the sink lizzie washed her hands after using the toilet, taking a deep breath, lizzie shook her hands to remove the excess water and walked over to the hand dryers.

Walking back to the table, lizzie sat back down just as the waiter brought over the dessert. Picking one up, Dylan asked lizzie to close her eyes and open her mouth. When she had done as he asked, he placed the meringue in to her mouth. Lizzie closed her eyes in pure bliss as the meringue melted in her mouth. "mmmm,I forgot what these tasted like," she said "now you, close your eyes and open wide," lizzie picked up one of the meringues and placed it into Dylan mouth.

"they are good," he said taking another one, and popping it in to his mouth.

"umm you have a bit-" lizzie said before taking her napkin and reaching over and wiping the corner of his mouth "you had some mouse just there," she added placing the napkin back on the table. They finished the dessert, and dutchy asked for the bill and paid it.

walking to her car, lizzie turned to face dutchy. Looking in to his eyes she said "thank you for dinner," pulling her towards him, he placed a kiss on to her lips, twisting a loose strand of her hair around a finger.

"we should go," she said through his kiss, before pulling back.

"yeah, we should," he said kissing her again, before opening her door for her. They drove in silence back home.

The weeks passed and lizzie and dutchy, were like ships passing in the night, only seeing each other at varying times of the day. Lizzie had been traveling between London and her home, while Dylan had been working with lizzie's father. it was the start of February when lizzie walked in to her room and found a box of chocolates and a gift box with a note on top, on her bed, and an extremally large bouquet of flowers in water and a bottle of champagne on her dressing table. Picking up the note, she started to read and smiled.
