Wolf Princess Chapter 19
Right at the exact moment when Firenze and I walked out of there Dumbledore turned to his remaining Professors.
"Well, what did you think of her," he asked, brow quirked, already suspecting what their reactions would be.
Many of them just broke out at once, trying to get their own opinions heard.
"…completely savage!"
"This is going to be a disaster!"
"She has no sense of manners at all!"
"Silence," shouted the Headmaster in a booming voice.
That managed to shut them all up instantly.
"I know you all have something to say, but please speak one at a time," said Professor Dumbledore.
Madam Pince spoke up first, saying "Headmaster, the child is completely uncivilized! She has no place here!"
"Nonsense," argued Professor McGonagall, defending Numa. "The doors of Hogwarts are open to everyone!"
"But just look at her," said Sinestra, exasperated. "She's a savage!"
"That's a bit harsh isn't it," rebuked Professor Sprout. "After all she's been living in the forest since she was nothing but an infant."
"She eats raw meat," shrieked Sinestra, indignant. "Didn't you see how she tore into that rabbit carcass?!"
"Oh that reminds me," said Madam Pomfrey, getting up from her seat. "I've got to give her that physical I spoke of."
She went around the table and rushed out of the Great Hall in order to catch up with Firenze and myself, closing the distance.
"Sinestra does make a decent point," allows the Ancient Runes Professor. "We can't have her skinning, cutting and devouring a carcass in front of the students. We'd have the students throwing up all over the place after seeing that."
"Not to mention her attire," sniffed Madam Hooch, disgusted. "She barely has anything covering her skin. The male students won't be able to focus on their study's."
"Also, the scandal it will bring us," said Flitwick. "If parents heard of a new teacher walking around the castle basically naked we'd never hear the end of it from the Governors. We'd have complaints coming in by the thousands and parents taking their children from the premises on the school in droves."
This made another wave of fierce arguments come out fo everyone.
"Quiet," commanded Professor Dumbledore. "The Heads of Houses and I have already discussed this. Tomorrow Minerva will be taking Numa to Diagon Alley for some clothes and a few other necessities she will need."
"But won't she draw undesirable attention to herself while wearing what she is now," inquired Professor Trelawney.
Yeah, like her wardrobe is any better.
Calmly, Professor Dumbledore answered "As long as she wears her cloak things should go alright without any complication."
"might I make a suggestion, Headmaster," said Remus, helpfully.
"Of course," said Professor Dumbledore, nodding is consent to it.
"With your permission I would like to join Minerva and Numa on their trip to Diagon Alley tomorrow," said Remus, straightening in his seat.
"May I ask why," said Professor Dumbledore.
"I just think that it would be a good idea for someone that she's already familiar with to an extent on the top to Diagon Alley. Diagon Alley is going to be completely different than what she's used to with so many unfamiliar faces surrounding her. It's going to be really overwhelming for her. She needs someone to keep her calm, relaxed, and composed."
At Remus's advisement there was a bit of silence. Many of them thought about what Remus had just spoke and many of them have to admit that this did make perfect sense.
"Well I don't know about you guys," said Hagrid, "but I think it's a great idea."
Fang let out a bark as if concurring with his master.
The others hesitantly voice their agreement as well.
"All right, Remus," said Dumbledore. "You may do as you wish."
Remus smiles and nodded in thanks to the Headmaster. He and a couple of others then returned to their desserts.
Authors Note:
September 11th has come and gone once again. I was very young when it happened. Don't know about all of you, but I certainly was really scared. One minute I was at elementary school in class and the next my parents are pulling me out, taking my little sister and I home. That's when we learned the truth. The Twin Towers we'd see all the time whenever we traveled outside the city limits on road trips would no longer be there. We were stunned when we'd seen them destroyed on TV. Those trips were never the same again just like the lives of millions. In honor for the people that fell that day and to those still struggling to survive from the aftermath I suggest a moment of respective silence. I think we all can use that.
Hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D
I've been meaning to get back to this one for a while and only now I've managed to find time and inspiration for it. I'm very satisfied and happy about it.

I have other grand news! I'm going to New York Comic Con! Ah! I've been dying to go for years and now I have the opportunity. The Jokers from Impractical Jokers are going to be there along with Tom Hiddleston and so many others. This is an opportunity of a lifetime so I'm not going to waste a single second of it. So wish me luck, my friends! ;D
