Abandoned after birth she had no one to turn to. Raised by a pack of wolves she was taught of the ways of the forest and became one with the other creatures there. Years later she was found by humans and brought back to their world. But danger is on the horizon and it will take everything she has learned to get her through it alive. 25. Chapter 25

Wolf Princess Chapter 25

Remus and McGonagall grin openly at my amazement. We step through the archway. Professor McGonagall is required to move me forward lightly with a gentle hand so that I can follow. My shock has made me freeze where I stand. I scan quickly over my shoulder and notice the archway shrink instantly back into a solid foundational wall.

I wish deeply that I own so many more eyes. I tur my head in every direction as we steadily travel up the street, trying to absorb everything all at once. The buildings, objects outside them, and all the crowds of people doing their daily shopping and routines.

All around me I could see so many humans, ones of my own kind. With each turn of my head I saw humans of different heights, shapes, and sizes. Each one was different in so many ways with barely any of them looking the same. Each human wears similar styles of clothing to Remus and Professor McGonagall with each carrying a unique design.

The buildings were exactly the same way. They are all packed together side by side on both adjacent ends of the street.

There are shops selling robes and strange silver instruments u had never seen before in my life. Windows are stacked with barrels of bat spleens and eels eyes, tottering piles of spell books, quills, and rolls of parchments, potion bottles, shapes of the moon…

There are just so many new wondrous things anywhere.

Remus and Professor McGonagall realize that I'm not following them and stop. They see me behind them carrying amused expressions on their faces as they patiently waited for me to finish. They provide a few minutes before it is time to move off again.

"Numa," calls Remus, catching my attention, gesturing with his fingers for me to rejoin them.

"I'm sorry," I apologized, coming up. "There's just so many new things to see. It's all so…"

"Overwhelming," completed Professor McGonagall, helpfully.

I nod, an embarrassed smile on my lips.

Patting my back, Remus said "There's no need to be ashamed of how you feel. It's the same for everyone when they first enter Diagon Alley."

"He speaks the truth," said Professor McGonagall.

"From what I see here," I said, scanning the terrain. "I can easily believe that." I then motion at all the building structures. "Are all of these dens?"

"Pardon," said Professor McGonagall, not quite comprehending what I was asking.

"Dens," I repeat. "Are all of these dens for humans?"

"Some of them are just shops although most of them have reside in apartments above them for the owners to live in if they choose to," answered Remus.

"It's kind of hard to believe that so many humans can fit in such small spaces," I stated.

This causes laughter to escape of Remus and McGonagall.

"What's so funny," I said, even more confused.

"Not every human on this street lives in Diagon Alley, Numa," said Professor McGonagall. "Only the shop owners. The rest live scattered all across the country. They come from miles around just to ship, eat, and do their business here."

"I see," I said, slowly understanding. "So where are we off to first?"

At last! At long last! The 100th story is finally created! Ah! I'm so happy and proud with myself. Right now during this epidemic with the coronavirus that's impacting every nation in the entire world we really do need find whatever sources we possibly can in order to lighten our spirits. Especially those who are unfortunately stuck sick or those locked in self isolation in order to prevent both contraction and spread of the illness. For those of us who have the abilities to do this we have a duty to keep up morale and that's exactly what I wholeheartedly desire these new stories and updates concocted during this time do for you.

As many of you are already aware I was a patron at New York Comic Con 2019. It really is so exciting there and was an opportunity of a lifetime so there's no way in hell that I was going to waste a single second of it. No one ever should with something like this. Ever! ;D Unfortunately New York Comic Con 2020 was canceled because of the coronavirus so no one really got to enjoy any of the potential festivities this year in the chaos.

For future preferences I highly recommend that you all keep an eye out for when tickets for New York Comic Con are available for purchase again for next year. This is a huge event and you should jump on it whenever you have the chance. Unfortunately this year it appears like Comic Con might be skipped not just in New York, but also in all it's regular places during the course of scheduled events. I think we all know the reason for it is plain as day.

The coronavirus.

Can't exactly blame with how dreadful things are getting in escalation and the fact that places like the Javits Center in New York have been temporarily converted into makeshift hospitals in order to deal with the overflow of people contracting infections from this rapidly spreading virus that might as well be called a plague at this point. Let's keep fingers crossed that an aim is to have this pass us before then so things can get back on track. If it is then New York Comic Con might be exactly what people need in order to lighten their spirits after all this darkness. Stay safe everyone and long to eventually see you there.
