A/N Hi guys! This is probably going to be my last update before finals, so I hope you enjoy it. I tried to pack in more character interactions and there isn't too much action. But don't worry, there will be more in later chapters.
"Hiccup! Do you have a moment? Iida said coming up beside him.
"Yeah, what's up?"
"I wanted to ask if you were the one in charge. Pardon my rudeness but you seem a bit young to be in charge of an outpost."
"You're not being rude, it's a valid question, Iida. And yes, I am the one in charge. I'm not that young anymore, I am 18. And besides, I've been the leader of the dragon riders for a few years now."
"My apologies, where we come from you would have just graduated high school."
"High school? So, I would still be in school?"
"Yes."
"You must have a lot of stuff you need to learn then. If it were like that with us then we would run out of things to teach. We only have schooling for a about a year to teach us how to read and write. Things must change a lot in the future."
"Yes, that is a logical conclusion. I must apologize once more, from what I know about Vikings they are not known for their logic and smarts and yet you seem to be the complete opposite," Iida said, pausing to bow to Hiccup.
"There is no need to apologize, Iida. Between you and me, most Vikings aren't known for their smarts."
"So, you are an exception to the rule then," Iida said.
"Yeah, something like that." Hiccup paused for a moment looking over everyone, he and Iida were at the back of the pack watching over everyone. "I know that Aizawa is your teacher, but you seem to be in charge of your classmates too."
"Yes. I am the class representative. It is my job to make sure the class behaves when Mr. Aizawa isn't around. I do my best to make sure the class maintains order."
"That sounds like a tough time."
"It isn't always easy, but it is giving my valuable experience that I can use when I become a hero."
"I've heard you guys mention heroes, is it some sort of profession?"
Iida lit up and he began to explain the hero industry to Hiccup.
Aizawa was also walking near the back of the group with Endeavour, he was glad the students were okay and that they weren't panicking.
"How do you think we'll get back?" Endeavour said to Aizawa, quietly enough that no one else heard.
"I don't know. We can hope the quirk that sent us back is on some sort of time limit, but that's being optimistic. Nedzu will look for us."
"Will he look back in time?"
"Let's hope so."
Aizawa was not happy with the current situation. How did a villain break in so easily? How is it possible to be sent this far back in time? There is more at play here than meets the eye. Right now, he had to focus on making sure his students were safe. That has to be their first priority.
"So, Bakugo," Kaminari said, "How does it feel to be second rate?"
"Shut up, extra!" He said with small explosions coming from his palms.
Kirishima and Kaminari chuckled; it wasn't everyday Bakugo was this annoyed.
"I'll prove to them that I am going to be number 1!"
Before Bakugo could start any fires, they reached the end of the forest.
"Is that your village?" Tsuyu said.
"It's so cool!" Mina said, "I've never seen anything like it!"
"Thanks," Astrid said, "It's just our outpost but it's home."
"How did you guys find this place?" Todoroki said.
"We flew from our home island of Berk to discover the world beyond our archipelago," Snotlout said, "And we landed on this island. It was one of the less deadly ones."
"Wait- One of the less deadly ones?" Kaminari said.
"Yeah, we almost got eaten a few times," Snotlout said.
"E-eaten?" Mineta said, trying to keep his nerves under control.
"Yeah, by dragons," Tuff cut in.
"A Death song to be precis," Ruff said.
"Don't worry, he's not a problem anymore," Fishlegs said after looking at everyone's concerned faces, "We've made up for our differences and are now friends."
"You guys make friends with wild dragons?" Kirishima said.
"Yeah, how do you think we have our dragons?"
"I thought you would have raised them," Kirishima said, "Like you know from a baby and everything."
"Well up until about 5 years ago we were at war with the dragons," Astrid said.
"Really? Your dragons look pretty harmless." Uraraka said.
"They are now, but not when they were controlled by the Red Death," Hiccup said, "But that's a story for another time." He didn't like telling that story too much, Hiccup felt like it made his seem stronger than he actually was.
"So, you guys fought off literal fire breathing dragons without quirks," Kirishima said, "That's so manly."
"Well, thank you," Snotlout said, "See Hiccup, fighting does make you manly."
Hiccup rolled his eyes, "Feel free to look around, we each have out own hut and there's the stables, training dome, and clubhouse."
"Astrid, which one is yours?" Momo asked.
"Mine's the one with the Ballista on it," She said pointing to her hut near the edge of the cliff, "It has the best defenses.
"Wow," Uraraka said, not entirely sure how to react. It was not what she was expecting Astrids hut to look like.
"That's really impressive, Astrid," Momo said, "How did you get the ballista up there?"
"I built it, with the help of Stormfly."
"It looks really well defended," Tsuyu said, "Who are you defending it from?"
"The dragon hunters, they've attacked us a few times. But not in a while. The traps mostly defend against Snotlout when he gets his 'bright ideas'."
"That's what we should do," Mina said, "Booby trap out dorms so Mineta can't get any 'bright ideas.'"
"Well, I don't know if Mr. Aizawa would like that," Momo said.
"I can show you my traps if you want," Astrid said.
"We may as well since we're here," Tsuyu said.
"Let's go!" Mina said, jumping into the air. The girls giggled then walked off towards Astrids hut.
"Your village is so cool!" Deku said to Fishlegs.
"Thank you!"
"It is quite impressive," Todoroki said, "Did you guys build it?"
"Yeah! It's a lot easier to build things when the dragons can help with the heavy lifting, isn't that right girl," He said petting Meatlug.
"That just makes it all the more impressive," Todoroki said.
"Wich one is yours?" Deku asked.
"Mines the one on the sea stack over there," Fishlegs said, pointing to the hut furthest out from the others, "I wanted it to be a place to relax, away from the others. Do you want to see?"
"Yeah, that would be amazing!" Deku said.
"C-can I come with you?" Koda said.
"Sure!" Fishlegs said.
Koda smiled, it wasn't every day he had the courage to ask to join his friends. Koda still had the smile on his face as he followed after Fishlegs who was talking about his rock garden.
"So, Tokoyami," Tuff said, "Do you work for Odin?"
"Sorry?"
"You know, the Allfather?"
"I'm still in school. Is Odin one of your Gods?"
"Yeah, and you have a Ravens head," Ruff said, "So you must at least know of him."
"I'm afraid I do not know of Odin."
"Really?" Ruff said.
Tokoyami nodded.
"There must be something going on here," Tuff said, "First lighting guy isn't related to Thor-"
"Hey!"
"And the guy with the raven's head-"
"Do not call my by that!"
"Doesn't know Odin."
"They Gods literally fell into our lap and they're denying it!" Ruff said.
"What did we deserve to get this?!" Tuff said while falling to the ground dramatically.
"Everything, Tuff," Snotlout said.
"What do you mean by everything?" Kaminari said.
"Do you know how many times they've blown me up? Or set a trap out in front of my door. Heck they even tried too burry me alive!"
"HEY!" Ruff shouted, "It was only for a few hours!"
"Wow, you guys are crazy," Kirishima said.
"I like crazy," Mineta said, sending a seductive glance towards Ruffnut.
Mineta's actions went unnoticed by Ruffnut.
"So, who wants to come see our hut?" Tuff said.
After a pause where no one moved, "I'll go," Shoji said, he just didn't want the twins to feel bad.
"Do you two share a hut?" Mineta said.
"uh hu," Ruff said.
"Yeah, she's my twin sister, can't get away from her."
Ruff elbowed him in the side.
"OW!"
"I can't get away from you either!"
"So, you two can't get away from each other then," Tokoyami said.
"Sounds about right, come on!" Tuff said, grabbing Tokoyami's arm, "I've got to show you my pet chicken!"
Ruff and Tuff lead Tokoyami, Mineta, and Shoji to their hut.
"Those two are crazy," Kaminari said.
"Tell me about it," Snotlout said.
"Yeah, they don't even understand the brilliance of my quirk," Bakugo said.
"Your quirk was explosions, right?"
"Yeah."
"It's probably because their dragon blows stuff up. Honestly, I'm pretty tired of it."
"So, what does your dragon do?" Kirishima asked.
"Hookfang, he just breathes fire. He can also light his entire body on fire."
"That's cool! Todoroki can shoot fire too, but I don't think he can light his entire body on fire."
"Do you have a quirk thing too?"
"Yeah, it's called hardening. Basically, I can turn my skin rock hard."
"That's pretty cool!"
"Why does everyone think that your quirks are cooler than mine!" Bakugo shouted.
"I don't know man, just chill out," Kaminari said.
"Whatever," Bakugo muttered.
Snotlout was about to retort when Kirishima cut him off; "Can we see your hut? I'm sure it has to be manly."
"And manly it is," Snotlout said, "Allow me to show you the den of the Snot!"
"Is yours the one with the big 'S''s?" Kaminari asked.
"Of course! It can't be the den of the Snot without any 'S''s."
"What is that under it?"
"It's a statue of me!"
Kaminari didn't know what to say, nor did the other two. It was impressive that he built it but the question was why.
"Come on! Mines the coolest hut on the village."
"Let's go," Kaminari said.
"You coming Bakugo," Kirishima asked as they started to walk towards the hut.
"Fine, whatever," he muttered, shoving his hands in his pockets and following the others.
"The Dragon Hunters," Aizawa said to Hiccup, "How big of a threat are they?"
"Well, they're our main threat but they won't come and attack us, at least not right now. They've tried a few times and they've only gotten full control once, but we got it back."
Endeavour grunted in admiration, reconquering stolen territory was not easy, the current situation in Japan was evident of that.
"I take it you're at odds over your views on dragons?" Aizawa asked.
"Yeah, we found peace with our dragons, but they don't even want to learn about what we did. They just want to keep on killing dragons and making money off of them. Well, that was when Viggo was in charge anyway."
"What happened to him?" Iida asked.
"He fell into an active volcano. Then trader Johan betrayed us and took over. Now they're after the Dragon Eye lenses and once you have one from each type of dragon you can find the map to the king of dragons."
"And having the enemy finding the king of dragons would make them unstoppable," Iida said.
"Yeah, we can't let that happen because we wouldn't be strong enough to protect Berk or the other tribes in the archipelago. And the amount of damage that they could do is unfathomable."
Just like Shigaraki, Endeavour thought.
He wasn't the only one with that thought, their situations weren't too dissimilar. But the main villain for the hero's already has the king of dragons.
"Sorry you guys had to end up here, there's probably safer islands for you to have ended up on."
"There are also worse places to end up," Aizawa said.
"Yes, thank you for your hospitality, Hiccup," Iida said, "Mr. Aizawa, have you started thinking of a way back?"
"Just let me worry about that for now, Iida."
Iida wanted to respond, but he saw how tired Aizawa's face became, he had a lot on his plate before this all happened. Iida wasn't the only one who noticed.
"Let me know if you need any help," Hiccup said, "We'd all be happy to help you find a way back."
Aizawa nodded in thanks.
Suddenly there was a loud explosion coming from the village.
"Oh, for the love of Thor!" Hiccup shouted looking at the twin's hut for the smoke.
But the smoke wasn't coming from their hut, it was coming from Snotlouts.
