"The hell you say to me!" Bakugo shouted with small explosions coming from his hands.
"Bakugo man, chill out," Kirishima said, trying to get in between Bakugo and Snotlout.
"You have ears. Or do those not work too," Snotlout said, a large smirk spreading across his face.
"SHUT UP!"
"Make me." Hookfang stood defensively behind Snotlout.
"Don't fight each other!" Kaminari said.
"Yeah, we can talk this out," Kirishima said. He really didn't want a fight breaking out, there was no Recovery Girl to heal them if something went South.
Bakugo smirked; "DIE!" He shouted as he charged at Snotlout charging up an explosion.
He moved quickly, faster than Snotlout was expecting. Bakugo set of a large explosion into Hookfang's wing as he protected Snotlout at the last moment.
"BAKUGO!" Kirishima shouted, rushing to pull Bakugo away from Snotlout. But no one was holding back Snotlout. Snotlout dove at the two of them knocking them to the ground.
Kirishima pulled himself out of the pile and Snotlout ignored him in favour of Bakugo. Snotlout grabbed Bakugo by his shirt and punch him in the face. But Bakugo wasn't going down that easily; he grabbed Snotlout's punching arm and headbutted him, giving him enough time to get up.
Bakugo readied another explosion and slammed him hand into the ground right where Snotlout's head used to be.
Bakugo looked up and saw Snotlout charging at him again, but this time he was ready. He had an explosion ready to go and was about to blow up Snotlout when the door to the hut burst open and he found himself unable to use his quirk. Snotlout went tumbling into him and the two of them were knocked to the floor again.
Before they could get any more hits in, they were being pulled apart. They were still trying to go at each other and wriggle out of the hands that held them back. Bakugo managed to break free, but Eraserhead's capture scarf wound tightly around him.
"Really, Snotlout," Hiccup said, after pulling him a safe distance from Bakugo.
"What?! He started it!"
"Really!" Bakugo shot back, "You didn't hold back!"
"Neither did you! You almost blew up my face!"
"That's enough!" Aizawa said with enough authority to shut everyone up, he turned towards Kirishima and Kaminari, "What happened?"
"Well, we were walking to Snotlout's hut when the two of them got into an argument," Kaminari said.
"We tried to deescalate but there was no stopping them."
Hiccup was paying attention to what the two were saying, but he looked a Hookfang and judging by his facial expression the two boys were telling the truth.
"Who punched first?" Hiccup asked.
"It was Bakugo," Kirishima said.
"But they both went pretty hard," Kaminari added.
"You can't offend the Jorgenson clan and get away with it!"
"Don't think you can talk crap-" Bakugo was muffed by Aizawa pulling the binding cloth around Bakugo's mouth.
Hiccup sighed, Snotlout had given up squirming in his and Kaminari's grasp, but he wasn't about to let him go supervised with Bakugo again. Their personalities just created problems.
"Snotlout, go recon the island," Hiccup said.
"But I just-"
"Now!" Hiccup said, putting more emphasis on it.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever," Snotlout said climbing on Hookfang and flying out the hut.
Aizawa loosened the bindings on Bakugo but pulled him close; "I will not have you fighting anyone on this island. Is that clear?"
"He was-"
"I don't care what he was doing. You're a hero in training, you have to know how to stop yourself from fighting people you dislike."
"Fine," Bakugo mumbled and Aizawa dropped his scarf.
Bakugo rubbed the side of his face, right where Snotlout had hit him.
"You, alright, that was a pretty big swing?" Kirishima said.
"I'm fine! Leave me alone shitty hair."
"Bakugo, you are to stay away from Snotlout, is that clear?"
"Fine by me," He muttered, exiting the hut. He was followed by Kirishima and Kaminari.
Aizawa lowered his gaze and looked towards Hiccup, But Iida interupred his next statement; "I'd like to apologize about Bakugo's behaviour-"
"There's no need, I'm pretty sure it's just as much Snotlouts fault. He'll get over it. Best to keep them separated though."
"Agreed," Aizawa said.
"It seems that you both have troublesome ones," Endeavour said from the corner of the hut.
"I'll talk with Snotlout later," Hiccup said, not wanting to talk to Snotlout, "It's been a long day, I'm sure you guys have having a pretty long day as well, we're all pretty tired."
"We were just wrapping up dinner when we ended up here," Iida said, "Some of out classmates had already gone to their rooms."
"We can gather everyone at the clubhouse to discuss sleeping arrangements," Hiccup said, "Wouldn't want anyone sleeping outside."
"Wow, I didn't expect your hut to be this… shiny." Mina said after entering Astrids hut.
"I love colleting weapons, everyone of them here is unique."
"It is an interesting hobby," Momo said taking a closer look at some axes hanging on her wall, "You must be quite the warrior."
"Yeah, I was on Berks guard before leaving with Hiccup and the other riders. I'm in charge of the island's defenses."
"So that's why you have a ballista on your roof," Tsuyu said.
"And all of the traps," Uraraka added.
"I have to test them before I set them up around the island. Snotlout is pretty good at that."
The girls chuckled a bit then they heard an explosion.
"What was that?" Tsuyu said.
"Probably just the twins," Astrid said, "They blow stuff up all the time."
"But you're not even fazed," Uraraka said.
"And how do you know it's not an attack?" Momo asked.
"Firstly, the explosion came from behind my hut, not the bay. The enemies wouldn't be able to attack from behind as they mainly attack from the sea. And secondly if they were attacking, they wouldn't blow up just one hut and call it a day. And thirdly anything that makes explosions we'll hear before they blow up anything."
"Wow."
"You really know your stuff, Astrid," Momo said.
"I am in charge of the islands defences for a reason."
"There must be a lot we can learn from you, Astrid," Momo said.
"I'll say! Do you know how to use all of these?" Mina said, gesturing to a wall of different types of blades behind her.
"Yeah, but I'm best with an axe."
"Do you use physical combat often?" Tsuyu asked.
"Yeah, do you?"
"Well, we mostly rely on our quirks to do all of the heavy lifting," Tsuyu said, "I thought you would have relied on your dragons to do the same."
"Well, the dragons give us an advantage of long range combat without needing to be good with a bow, but their shots are limited, and they can't fit everywhere because of their size. And besides, us Vikings are trained in combat from birth."
"Could you teach us?" Mina said.
"How to fight?"
"Yeah! We need an edge over the boys in out class!"
"They wouldn't be expecting us to kick their butts with martial arts!" Tsuyu said seemingly lost in thought.
"I don't know, I'm not the best teacher…"
"I'd love to watch you with an axe, Astrid. I'm working on my combat skills with weapons because my quirk allows me to produce weapons from my body, but not many people train with close combat weapons anymore."
"I already know a few moves, I could try and help," Uraraka said.
"Alright, I'll give it my best shot."
"You're the best, Astrid!" Mina said, a large smile appearing across her face.
Astrid smiled, in reality she couldn't say no when she saw the determination in their eyes.
"I really like your hut. It's very peaceful," Todoroki said.
"Thank you, it's the perfect place to hide away from the twin's shenanigans and to just be at peace. And to do research interrupted."
"You mean your dragon research?" Deku said.
"Yeah, I don't want my papers anywhere the twin's can find them."
"Is that a rock garden?" Todoroki said.
"Yeah, it's really good for meditation!"
"That's something that originated in Japan."
"Really? I heard about it from a trader a long time ago. Since then, I've been wanting to make one."
"It is interesting to see how word spreads without any modern technology," Midoriya said.
"You'll have to tell me more about your time, it sounds so cool!" Fishlegs said.
They all turned their heads to find source of an explosion.
"What was that!?" Midoriya said. One For All began crackling through his body, but Danger Sense never went off. The rest of his classmates were dropping into fighting stances.
"It's probably just the twins, nothing to worry about."
"Did they blow each other up?" Todoroki asked.
"No, there's no yelling."
Kota wasn't engaged in the conversation anymore, he was more concerned about the few birds nearby that looked really shaken; "It's okay, my little friends, there's nothing to worry about."
"Are you calming down the birds?" Fishlegs asked.
Kota blushed, "Yeah, it's my quirk, it allows me to talk with animals," he said in a quiet voice.
"That's so cool!" Fishlegs said, "I wish I could talk to animals, there is so much we could learn about them!"
"Thanks. Most people don't like my quirk, it's not really flashy."
"If you can talk to the birds, can you talk to dragons as well?"
"I-I think so? I like sticking to smaller animals though… they're not as scary."
"Yeah, I agree with you there," Fishlegs said, he turned to the rest of the group; "What are your guys' quirks?"
"My is half-cold half-hot. My right side of my body can produce flames and my left side can produce ice."
"That's really versatile, can you use both at the same time?"
"I'm working on it."
"Well, you already know most of mine, I can increase my strength throughout my body and can concentrate my strength in certain areas. There's also a lot more my quirk can do but that's just the basics…" Midoriya trailed off, he didn't want to talk about all of the uses of One For All, especially since he was still mastering them.
"How are they all so different? The quirks I mean."
"Well, most quirks are genetic, so you inherit the same or similar quirk to your parents," Midoriya said.
"Wait, so if you have fire, Todoroki, does that make Endeavour your dad?"
"Yes."
"So, you mom has an ice-based quirk?"
"Yes."
"That is so interesting! Imagine that happening with dragons! There would be some crazy powerful dragons then if they had different kinds of fire power."
"I know that Meatlug spews lava, but what other types of blasts are there?" Midoriya asked, doing his best to move away from quirk genetics for Todoroki's sake.
"Hiccup's dragon, Toothless shoots a plasma blast, that blast is unique to Night Fury's. And Astrids dragon, Stormfly has a Magnesium blast, it is found in a few dragons."
"There seems to be a lot of variation in dragons like our quirks," Todoroki said.
"Yeah, and their blasts aren't the only thing that varies, their size does too! And a bunch of other things do too."
"You have to teach me more!" Midoriya said, his eyes lit up.
Fishlegs eyes also lit up and their energy levels were rising. Kota even seemed to be engaged.
Todoroki and Kota looked at each other, not entirely sure what was going on.
"Hey, Fishlegs!" Hiccup said flying over, "Aizawa wants to get everyone together at the clubhouse to go over a few things."
"We'll be right over!" Fishlegs and Midoriya said at the same time.
"What's going on with those two?" Todoroki asked no one in particular, he just looked confused.
Hiccup smiled, at least Fishlegs found someone else that can keep up with his intellect. He flew past the twin's hut and shouted; "We're meeting at the clubhouse!"
"Be right there!" Shoji shouted after the twins didn't respond.
"Or will we be left there?" Tuff said.
Hiccup rolled his eyes and made his way to Astrid's hut.
