"You said you felt the rest of you could justify killing him. How do you mean?" Buffy asked.

"Oz, is it okay if I discuss the wolf?"

"I know where you're going. Go ahead."

"What about the wolf?" Willow asked.

"Oz is dual natured. A fact both you and he will have to face at some point. Part of his nature is that of a pack animal. Emphasis on both pack and animal. He and a wolf will kill to protect pack and mate. If you're threatened, he'll kill. If he hasn't faced the fact of that and the situation comes up, his human nature might be afraid, he might even think he's a danger to you. Because you're his mate."

"So Oz could justify this human being a danger to me and kill to protect me?"

"You, not the world. But yes."

"I don't want Oz to kill for me. I don't want anyone to kill for me."

"Which is why you need to deal with his dual nature as well. Because if it ever becomes an issue, if he ever kills to protect, it could break the two of you apart. So you both need to talk and figure out how to deal with it. You, personally, need to figure out how to accept that aspect of him. You may not survive long term as a couple if you don't. And wolves tend to mate for life. Which could have a long term effect on Oz."

"I never really thought about him being a werewolf. I mean during the full moon cycle Wolfie comes out, but - ."

"But Wolfie and Oz are the same being. Two parts of one whole. If you're going to be with him long term, you have to understand what that means. His cousin Jordy, whose bite made him a werewolf, was born a werewolf. Which means any children you and Oz have will be werewolves. All the references we have say it's inherited. You need to understand the needs of a werewolf child if you and Oz are going to have kids."

"Kids, but we aren't even done with school!"

"Few months, Willow. Few months and High School will be over. Life is happening now. And I guarantee Oz has thought about it. If only to make sure he's got condoms handy."

"But we haven't - !"

"More info then I need, Willow."

Willow turned as red as her hair and buried her burning face in Oz's shoulder.

"Okay that explains why Oz could handle it. What about Giles?" Buffy asked.

"He's a Watcher, Buffy. The Watchers Council may not have properly taught him how to assess and deal with your psychological issues, but I guarantee they taught him humans are as capable of evil as a demon. And sometimes humans are the danger. That destroying a warlock determined to sacrifice a human child is justified to protect the child. And I'm damn sure he'd chose to do it himself rather then order you to do it."

"He's right. On all counts." Giles told them. "We are taught that and I certainly would chose to do it myself rather then make Buffy or Faith do it. And unlike helping Slayers deal with the death of humans who die because their choices, Watchers are prepared by the Council for how to deal with it if humans die because of our choices. So yes, I too can justify killing this human to save the world." He assured them.

"And Cordelia?" Buffy asked.

"Because I'm practical. And territorial. You mess with me and mine and I'll mess you up. You kill mine or threaten to kill mine and I will kill you. Full stop, no second guessing. I'll scream about the stupidity of the human to Xander and cry in his arms over the necessity of killing, but I won't regret it." Cordelia answered. "And Xander knows that, because he understands me. And he'll be there for me, because I know him."

"And you, Xander?" Buffy question him.

"I'm a soldier, official status not withstanding. I will kill to protect innocent people. I will kill enemy soldiers. And I will do so because doing so protects people. And I'm pretty damn sure I'm capable of revenge killing as well. A human being chooses to kill someone I love and I will hunt them to the ends of the Earth. And very few would be able to stop me or talk me out of it. One thing I'm not sure of is the lengths I will go to protect or save the people I love. Short of torture or killing of innocents I mean, but I'm pretty sure I'd go pretty damn far."

"So killing this one human is justifiable to you because doing so will protect other people." Faith said. "People you love as well as people in general. The whole world, as a matter of fact. And like G, you'd chose to do it yourself rather then place the burden on someone else's shoulders."

"Exactly." Xander agreed.

"On the matter of the revenge killing." Cordelia said thoughtfully. "I might be capable of that as well. Never thought of it before, but now that I am, I think that's something I'd be willing to do too."

"Alright, I understand what you're saying, Xander." Buffy said. "And you've convinced me that killing this one human is justifiable because it could save the whole world. So let's hear your plan."

He laid it out for them using the plans Willow had gotten ahold of. On the day the courier arrived the Scooby gang was waiting. The vampire was dusted and the human killed. Anna destroyed the Box of Gaverox and the group waited to see what the fallout from their actions would be.
