"Nothin' looks wrong." Tape slammed the plate shut. "Maybe they're just busted outta reach. Either way, I can't fix it."

"Cowabummer!" Shi sighed.

"Please don't say that," Olivia pleaded.

Tape tightened the tape band around his wrist. "If ya'll keep botherin' me, I'll just let ya suffer. I'm getting tired of helping ya'll with yar robo-friend. They should really learn to fix themself."

Shi gave him a pouty lip and stood back up. "It'll be hard with the plate on our back!"

"What are we going to do with them?" Olivia asked. "They might get lost, or wander off or-"

"They already have," Olly said. "They just walked away."

Shi went to the city. They enjoyed the sights and stopped to peek inside a few stores.

"Wow! How could they be hiding all of this from-"

An advertisement reading "Looking for talent, come to the tent outside of the Sōsa Suru Company Building" caught their attention. It was signed in a name that read "Machigai."

"Machigai? Sōsa Suru? We can find that! We don't need anybody's help!"

They got lost.

A kid about eight tugged at their coat. Shi turned. The child had orange straight hair cut very short which framed his tan skin and round face. His big blue eyes touched a sort of nerve Shi didn't even know existed.

"Uh, hello kid! What do you need?" They crouched down to his level.

He put his hand near his head and moved it away in a sort of waving motion.

"Huh?"

He tapped a hand to his chest, then took two fingers and tapped those against the same fingers on his other hand. He then signed his name, Chōkaku.

Shi waved. They signed, to the best of their ability, 'We don't know much. What are you saying?' They only knew how to sign the alphabet, but that was enough for Chōkaku to tell what they were saying.

He responded with signing the alphabet back to them. 'Why did you say we instead of I?'

'That's just how we talk. Sorry if it's weird.'

'It's not weird! I don't mind! Plus I talk weird anyways, so says other kids my age.'

'Do you know how to find...' They slowly spelt out 'Sōsa Suru Company Building' to be sure they got it correctly.

'Oh! I know where that is! I can show you! And I should teach you some more sign language too. This is getting tiring.'

'Could you show us there? It'll be a big help!' They smiled. 'Why did you come over anyways? Aren't we a stranger?'

'I noticed that you looked lost, so I wanted to help. It's this way.'

Chōkaku led them to the tent, then stopped them. 'What do you do?'

'Us? We do fun little shows! Do you wanna watch one?'

'Ooh, yes! And my sister might be able to watch them too, if they're really good!'

'We'll gladly let your sister come! We need the tent though. Let's see what they have in there.'

The only things that were left were items for air acrobatics. Shi faced back to Chōkaku and smiled again.

'We've never done air acrobatics before, but it can't be too hard!' They examined the items. "Let's see here..."

Chōkaku sat down in the stands.

"Okay! We have an idea!" They tied a long ribbon around their waist, then extended their arm to grab one of the poles holding up the roof and pulled theirself up. They tied the ribbon to the pole. They gave Chōkaku a thumbs-up. 'You ready? We're going to try to do this now. Sorry if we're bad!'

'I won't judge! Go, go!'

They didn't disappoint. Despite not knowing how to do it, they did a fair job at it. They only had to stop because the ribbon snapped and they face-planted to the ground. Chōkaku rushed over to check if they were alright.

'We're fine!'

'That was so cool! My sister would love this! It'll be able to cheer her up in no time! Do you do any other shows?'

'This was our first one, actually.'

'You should do more! I'll come to every one!'

'That's a great idea! But...we can't keep using this tent without permission. We'll find some other way. It's getting late, and you should probably head home.'

'I'll see you soon!' He waved and left.

They waved back. "We should put all this away..."

Somebody began clapping. "Wow, great work. You're just the person I was looking for."

"Hm?" There was a female behind them.

She had deep red hair that went down to her center back, matching eyes with a soul-piercing stare, and a dress that mimicked fire. Her heels, although not visible, clacked against the floor over to Shi.

"What's your name, fellow?"

"Us?" They pointed at theirself. "Oh, our name is Shi! It's nice to meet you."

"And I, Machigai, return the pleasure." She held out her hand.

They shook it happily. "Oh! Machigai! We wanted to talk to you about that ad."

"Oh, I'm already convinced. You have no need to talk to me."

"Oh? So you know what we're here for?"

"Yup. I have an opening and you fit right in. You'll be famous. What do you say? You'll be able to do shows for that wonderful kid, and many others too!"

"Oh, Izuku wouldn't like that. He wants us to lie low after we teleported alla Japan to our World of Fun..."

"Hmm, he doesn't need to know. I can choose who hears about it or not. H%#$, I can even fix that broken jaw for you. But of course, you can always decline. I'll just find someone else."

"Wait, will we have ads too? Like yours?"

"Do you have any ideas?"

They pulled the plush of them out of their hat. "We made this a while back...Would this work?"

She examined it. "We'll have to mass produce this, but I can get that handled."

"We won't do the shows for money. We only want to make people happy. Okay? Please don't make anybody hava pay for the shows. Please?"

"I promise I won't."

They looked at her right arm, which had been resting behind her back the entire time. She held it out, revealing she was bound to keep her promise, and held out her other hand. Shi shook it.

"Deal!"

"Great! We can get started right away! You'll need some sort of uniform for your shows, can you handle that?"

"Uh-huh!"

"How about a show for tomorrow? Can you get an idea for one in time?"

"We can practice our aircrobatics more! We'll mix that in with what we already know and then it'll be a hit!"

"I can feel it already, you'll be so famous and make dozens of people happy all over Japan! You show name will be..."

"Shi!"

"You might want to choose something your little friend won't recognise. What about Dōkeshi? It still has Shi in it, but longer."

"Okay! Our show name is Dōkeshi!"

"Great. Meet me here tomorrow then. See you later!"

"Caio!" They waved goodbye and dashed out. "We can't believe that she actually sees we're capable of greatness! If only anyone else could too." They slowed to a stop. "But that's why she's here. She'll help us finally get noticed."

Their neck sparked.
