Chapter II: Signing Up For Summer Camp

Narrator/EPF: When the next day came, Hugh Jacob got up and went to the computer and before he could start using it, he turned on the lights in his room that he shares with his siblings and started to play the morning wake up version of "Taps".

HJ: (hums the morning version of "Taps" loudly)

*Josh, Jamie, Tom, Ryan, and Zoe get up*

Josh: Okay, we're all up, HJ. What are you doing now?

HJ: I'm signing all eighteen of us up for summer camp like I said I would yesterday. The summer camp in Guatemala that the Steamferno Clan is gonna take over?

Josh: Oh, okay. I see.

Narrator/EPF: Hugh Jacob went up to the computer again and started it up and after he logged in, he typed in the summer camp's website that was mentioned in the previous chapter and he signed everyone in the gang up for the camp and paid five US dollars for each person in the gang, making it a total of 90. And after two and a half hours, he was finally done signing himself and everyone else in the gang up.

HJ: Phew, that was a lot of work. *to his siblings* And now to sabotage that camp that our parents signed us up for. *to EPF* EPF, tell the others to get over here, pronto.

EPF (to HJ): You got it, Hugh Jacob!

Josh: I'll hack into mom and dad's phones and the other kids' parents' devices and sabotage the plans.

Narrator/EPF: A few minutes of sabotaging later...

Josh (exhausted): Finally! After 14 minutes of sabotaging, we finally changed our summer camp plans!

*the twelve kids arrive where the Cork Men are upstairs in their house*

Drew: HJ! Cork Men! We came as soon as EPF told us! Does this have to do with our summer camp plans in order to save the world from the Steamferno Clan?

HJ: Yes, Drew. It does. Josh has finally changed our summer camp plans. Took him 14 minutes to do so.

Josh: I finally did it. Now we'll definitely go to that Guatemalan summer camp and try to steal the plans from the Steamferno Clan for sure!

Tess: YES! I knew we would go to different summer camp! I knew it!

Kate: How are gonna get there?

HJ: Easy. We'll take Riga's airship! *to Riga* Isn't that right, Riga?

Riga: Yes, it is, HJ.

HJ: We have 13 days left until we can finally go the summer camp in Central America.

Josh: I guess we can try to figure out a plan to steal the plans for the Steamferno Clan's evil plan, OPERATION TAKE OVER THE OVERWORLD AND THEN THE UNIVERSE.

Jamie: Yeah, we should try to plan ahead of time.

Tom: Or for short, O-T-O-T-O-W-A-T-T-U.

Ryan: That's a good one, Tom.

Zoe: Yeah, we should plan ahead of time.

HJ: Guys, we'll come up with a plan when we get there. Understand?

All others in unison: Understood.

Luis: Pardon me, Cork Men. But, what do you guys think of my music? *places his jukebox down and inserts a music disc*

("Mall" by C418 playing)

*Luis dances along to the music*

HJ: Very awesome, Luis.

Josh: Yeah, awesome.

Jamie: Yeah, very cool, Luis!

Tom: Yeah, it's so good.

Ryan: It's so awesome. But what's the name of the song that's playing right now in your jukebox?

Zoe: Very cool, Luis.

Luis: Ryan, the name of this song is "Mall".

Ryan: Oh, I see.

HJ: Just can't wait for summer camp.

Duke: Yeah, me neither.

Rick: Wow, I just understand why we're going to a different summer camp and it's so much fun!

(song ends from the jukebox and Luis ejects it brakes the jukebox and picks it up)

(item plops)

George: Wow, I just want to feel summer camp vibes already!

Tess: Yes, but we have to wait 13 more days.

HJ: Let's pass the time by playing games.

All others in unison: Okay!

*the whole gang walks downstairs and start to play games*

Narrator/EPF: 10 days later...

HJ: Wow, it's been 10 days and we're still getting ready for summer camp.

Josh: We have three days remaining until we can go to summer camp.

*HJ gets a text on his phone*

HJ: I just got a text from dad. It says, "HJ, summer camp is three days away. Make sure you, all your siblings, and the twelve kids that you're with are all packed up for summer camp." *to the others* We got have to get packed right now. So, let's go!

(action music plays as the gang packs up for summer camp)

HJ: Riga, Jack, do you guys have any clothes that you can use for summer camp? Do you both have swim trunks or something? You packed everything up when the both of you left Brazil for when Steamhoma City was in danger.

Riga: Yes, we did.

Jack: HJ, don't you remember? I'm a robot. I can't swim like how I used to from when I was a human being.

HJ: Oh, okay.

Narrator/EPF: As the gang gets ready for summer camp to think of a plan to steal the plans from the Steamferno Clan, it took them hours to pack up for the summer camp of their choice. When the gang prepares for summer camp as they get hyped for their choice for the summer vacation of their dreams, they realize that their upcoming mission is a lot harder than they thought.

HJ: Josh, how long has it been?

Josh: Three hours, HJ.

HJ: It's only been three hours?

Josh: Yes.

Jamie: Yeah, but we have to do something to get ready for this busy mission.

HJ: Well, we have to figure out the location of where those plans are. Like, I know that they're hidden at the bottom of a lake at that summer camp, but where at the bottom of that lake could they be?

Jamie: I'll guess we'll find out about that sooner or later. It's gonna last from this Thursday to next week on Tuesday.

Narrator/EPF: Three days later...

HJ: Okay, guys. It's been two weeks since we found out what the Steamferno Clan is gonna do. And this is the day we go to summer camp and steal those plans from evil Steamferno Clan once and for all.

All others in unison: Yeah! Let's do this!

Chase (yelling from upstairs): HJ, kids! Time to go to summer camp! Let's go!

HJ (yelling to Chase from downstairs): Hold on, dad! *to the others* Ready to go to that camp in Guatemala and save the world and the universe from being taken over?

All others in unison: Yes!

HJ: Good. *to Riga* Riga, start up your airship.

Riga: Okay.

*the gang walks upstairs and heads to The Cork Men's front yard*

Chase: Okay, kids. It seems like you're going to a camp that's far away from here. Correct?

HJ: Yes, dad. We know. Riga can take us there. *to Riga* Isn't that right, Riga?

Riga (to HJ): Yes.

Tom: At what time are we supposed to be there by, HJ?

HJ: The info, it said we're supposed to be there by dusk.

Josh (whispering to HJ): Guatemala City is the same time as here, HJ.

HJ (to Josh, quietly): Okay.

Chase: Okay, have lots of fun, kids.

HJ: See you in a few days, dad.

*Riga unlocks her airship*

(button clicks)

(many piston/sticky piston noises)

(ramp whirs as it opens)

*everyone gets on Riga's airship*

(ramp whirs as it closes)

(many piston/sticky piston noises)

*Chase walks back in the house*

Riga: Prepare for takeoff!

(many levers and buttons clicking)

(redstone engines roaring)

*Riga's airship starts to fly*

(ZOOM!)

HJ: Okay, now we're flying high. High up in the sky! *speaking to Riga on a video chat screen* How long will it take us to get there, Riga?

Riga (on video chat screen): 240,000 ticks.

HJ: In simple terms, Riga.

Riga (on video chat screen): I'm getting to it. Which is three hours and twenty minutes.

HJ: (sighs) Thank you, Riga.

Riga: Don't mention it, HJ.

HJ (to Josh): What time is it now, Josh?

Josh (to HJ): It's about 1:40 PM, HJ. We'll be there by 5:00, HJ.

HJ: (sighs) Oh, thank goodness!
