Later that afternoon all the way in Washington, D.C.; at a restaurant there was a black man in a business suit sitting with a grey haired moustached elderly man in a dark blue business suit himself. Respectively they were US Air Force Colonel James Rhodes and US Secretary of Defence Thaddeus Ross. On a tablet Ross was having them watch footage of an overseas warfare where fighting against a terrorist cell were Hyperion and Rhodes in a bulky black and dark grey suit of armor with various weapons and shoulder cannons to it.

"...You shouldn't be so modest Colonel Rhodes... The War Machine suit is some impressive firepower that Stark built for you... Smaller and much more manageable than those mechs that he had built for use hunting down Banner. Bias for a personal friend must be his motivation for going all out." Ross told Rhodes who was sighing.

"Technically speaking it's the Variable Threat Response Battlesuit but I dig the name because sometimes the world needs a War Machine. Plus I wouldn't exactly cal Tony a close friend but I am grateful for this role... I only wish that the stories I had for being War Machine for 6 months were more impressive; I have been helping Hyperion with various incidents and yet when I tell him of my solo missions; they don't sound as exciting to the great Hyperion..." Rhodes replied and Ross just smiled at him.

"Don't sell yourself short Colonel as soon the public will be catching on to your good work. Your help with the country's military overseas and more room for Hyperion and the other Squadron members to be on hand when monsters and freaks attacks our fairy country." Ross then said as then coming over was a smiling black man in a business suit.

"Well; some would argue if the Squadron themselves belong overseas in armed confects." said Kyle Richmond the philanthropist who also acted as Washington's congressman for the House of Representatives. There were eyebrows raised from Ross.

"With all due respect Congressman Richmond; the Squadron Supreme have been invaluable tools of peace around the world and making the country safe. With the help of Hyperion and Colonel Ledger; we stopped the Sokovian Civil War, liberated Latveria and all the times that they saved the world." Ross then firmly told him as Richmond sat himself down.

"I am sure that the rest of the world feels the same as you do Secretary Ross." Richmond spoke sarcastically as he shook his head. "I am grateful for all the good that the Squadron has brought to the world; stopped the Masters of Evil and when the next alien invasion comes... I know that we are in good hands... But should they be used for America to fight in their wars? America's enemies; what will they do when the Squadron aren't around anymore?" Richmond asked as he puts his hands together.

"Well good thing that the military is making steps to improve; Colonel Rhodes here as the War Machine is the first step and I can only imagine an whole platoon wearing the suits. They can be upgraded and think of if it comes to it being an army of Hyperions." Ross then said as Richmond then noticed a TV monitor's news report with Spider-Man and Zarda shaking hands at the FEAST centre in New York with the news calling Spider-Man the newest Squadron Supreme member. The report made Richmond glare at it.

"Can you excuse me please... I remembered suddenly about instructions that I forgot to give to my driver..." Richmond said as he got up to raised eyebrows as he then got outside to his limo to find a robotic duplicate of himself.

"LMD 2 take over; I have a meeting with a reporter about rumours of me putting in my name as candidate for the Presidency." Richmond told the robotic duplicate known as a Life Model Decory. The LMD then left to go back into the restaurant as he pressed a button on a panel as he then sat down. The limo then changed him into the Nighthawk suit and he used a signal to teleport himself to the Rocket Central.

Stark, Zarda and Peter were teleported up and Peter looked around in awe at the high tech corridors around him. He then looked out the window and saw that he was looking down on Earth. "Wait... Is that planet Earth... I really am on the Rocket Central..." Peter muttered in awe feeling goose bumps.

"I remember my first time being off Earth and how excited I was... I grew up wanting to be an astronaut..." said a voice and Peter looked around to see Ledger there along with a man in a dark red and blue suit and a similarly coloured helmet and brown wings on his back along with a tall but young man with blonde hair and a dark blue and yellow containment suit. "Spider-Man... Been a long while and now you are in the big leagues now. Nitro, Blue Eagle... Please welcome Spider-Man to the Squadron..." Ledger then told them and they seemed to be welcoming.

"What are you doing here?" demanded a voice and Peter felt his Spider-Sense go off as Richmond as Nighthawk was there looking stern and threatening. "I told you never to go out in that suit again..." Richmond demanded as he was up in Peter's face.

"Technically it's a new suit..." Peter remarked and Richmond didn't look amused.

"You dare talk like a smartass after you have the girl Gwen Stacy's death on your hands... I am not gonna let you be here with how reckless and irresponsible you are..." Richmond demanded as Stark put his hand on Richmond's shoulder.

"Not up to you Nighthawk; remember Hyperion leads the team and I pay for the lights in this place... If you don't like it then you can always quit." Stark told Richmond as he got glares and on Richmond's shoulder there was Hyperion's hand as he made himself known.

"Please don't escalate this Nighthawk; I am sure that he feels bad enough about the young woman's tragic passing." Hyperion told him and Richmond relented looking furious. Peter just stared at Hyperion remembering his encounter with him all those years ago and Hyperion gave him a small smile.

"Excellent. Now let's go to the meeting table and properly induct Spider-Man here, then we can show him his own quarters if he decides he likes staying here in space." Stark said showing them to the meeting table as Blue Eagle patted Peter on the back.

"Don't mind Nighthawk as he is mostly talk plus he doesn't really trust most of us. Guy has trust issues." Blue Eagle told him and Peter knew the stories that Nighthawk wasn't the easiest hero to work with.

"Even stretches back to when the Squadron was formed; he showed up because he didn't like the idea of a large group of superhumans together. I suspect he only stayed to keep an eye on us all; the weakest founding member likes to think of himself as the smartest man in the world." Ledger told Peter as he felt uneasier.

"You learn to get used to it; he's probably angry that he never had to guts or was even strong enough to be the one that killed the Goblin." Nitro told Peter as they then got to the round table meeting room and sitted themselves there.

"Welcome to the Squadron Supreme officially Spider-Man; this is is the meeting room where we are gathered to discuss the big important details. I will leave it to our PR manager Maria Hill." Hyperion said as Hill then faced Peter.

"Spider-Man; I will be working with you to handle all the paperwork as well as schedule public appearances for you. Plus calling on you when we have an active incident when it would work on you." Hill then said as Peter's eyes widened.

"Work for me?" Peter asked as he got looks from some of the other Squadron members.

"She means that when there is a villain attack in your city and if a normal crime is declared worthy of your attention." Blue Eagle then said as Peter had his eyes widened some more.

"Worthy of my attention? If something is happening where people could get hurt; then I have to be there! I can't stay on the sidelines..." Peter then replied as there was coughing and Hill glared at him.

"You may have to especially if you are scheduled for an event. I may have to schedule several meetings to go over things for your brand..." Hill then told him as Peter shook his head.

"Well I have my own job and my own patrols; plus if I have the choice to go to a store opening or save someone from a fire then the choice is obvious..." Peter then said as Hill sighed.

"Take it from me Spider-Man; it gets hard trying to balance this and a regular job. Don't feel bummed if you have to quit the regular one as this one gives a good paycheck and the royalties..." said Blur the super fast Squadron member in his black and yellow suit along with a black face mask that had holes for his eyes and mouth as well as orange goggles.

"Plus keep in mind that some stuff are below out paygrade..." Ledger then said as Peter frowned suddenly remembering what Ledger said to him all those years ago.

"Now on on Maria and everyone; let's give Spider-Man some leeway here as being a friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is part of why people like him..." Stark then said as Peter took this in.

"Thank you all for this and I think that I am gonna go home to get some rest..." Peter said getting up and going to the door as Stark handed him his special communication device for his ear. Zarda herself got up to go to Peter.

"Some advice Spider-Man; try and fight to hold onto your innocence and ideals as this can really kill your spirit if you let it..." Zarda warned him and Peter frowned some more as they had him teleported back to New York.

Peter then managed to sneak his way back to his apartment window and got through to find a note and then saw that it had an address and time. "Another Squadron thing..." Peter wondered to himself as he got a text from May saying that she will be busy at FEAST trying to get everything sorted and hoped that everything was alright with the Squadron. He decided to check this out but be on guard if this was a trap.

War Machine here will be taking a Steel like role as a partner of Hyperion.
