Walker then gave the hand signal for the Thunderbolts to engage and Peter had to use his Spider-Sense to dodge the weapon fire that Rumlow was sending his way. Hope shrank down as she then flew around the area and was firing blasts at Zabo to distract him as he was practically flaying his arms about trying to hit her. Scott himself shrank down and leaped up at Walker hitting him on the nose and attacked his face but Walker swatted him away.
Weapon X was lunging at Zarda who was blocking with her bracelets and then sent him back with strong kicks to the gut. Underwood smirked at Zarda as she used her bio-illumination spark powers to send a Flash at Zarda which disoriented her enough for Weapon X to savagely swipe at her and send her down. Underwood then laughed mockingly as she went and helped Weapon X with attacking Zarda.
"He acts like a rabid wolverine... Oh come on!" Peter muttered as he used his webs to fire at Weapon X who used his claws to get out of it; Peter found that he had used up the web fluid and had to focus on dodging Rumlow's firepower.
Rhodes then sent repulsor blasts at Weapon X along with the firepower in his suit and they managed to melt skin off which grew back much to their shock. "Captain Walker... Stand down for now... We have to talk about this..." Rhodes muttered as Walker leaped at Rhodes' suit and then used his shield to destroy the shoulder cannons and then crush at his arc reactor.
"All we will be talking about is your court martial for siding with a bunch of traitors to the US..." Walker said as Zarda used the Chain of Veracity to restrain and knock out Underwood. "As for you Power Princess... For shame that the woman who beheaded Hitler would go against her adopted homeland..." Walker said shaking her head as Scott suddenly grew to giant size taking several of them by surprise and Peter had to leap to react to his Spider-Sense.
Scott then leaned down to swipe at Walker but he took the chance to jump and run up his arm to kick Scott in the nose and then hit a hard strike at his belt causing him to land on the ground with a thud returning to normal size. Peter then jumped down and Walker managed to attack Peter' s back with his shield as Zabo got to Zarda to restrain her.
However a circular weapon was then thrown the trees and hit Walker's bck as it returned to the user. Walker then looked as Rumlow fired at the figure who kept running and jumping until Rumlow ran out of ammo. "Come on out and face us you coward... You can't keep this up forever..." Rumlow shouted as he was knocked out from behind by the circular shield which had a familiar design on it.
"I can do this all day..." said a muscular tall figure in what looked like the World War II Captain America suit who leaped out and then caught his shield. Then Zarda got out of Zabo's grip and then noticed the figure and looked him over.
"What... It can't be... Steve? Impossible... You looked like you haven't aged a day..." Zarda muttered in shock as Steve Rogers looked amused.
"Look who's talking Zarda..." Steve replied as Walker then charged at Steve who then started dodging all of his attacks and then kicked and punched hard to the face. "Captain Walker... You have a mantle that I am taking back..." Steve then told him as he kept on his attacks.
"You are not... Even if you were; we are working for the US government and you should be loyal..." Walker snapped as Steve knocked him out with a punch to the face.
"I am loyal... To the Dream..." Steve then said as Weapon X lunged and then out came T'Challa in his suit who took daggers that he used to effortless cut through Weapon X's claws. He managed to used the claws on his own suit to attack at Weapon X to incapacitate him. Zabo lunged at him and T'Challa then blocked with his arms and Zabo grinned as he started punching; failing to notice how little effect his punches were having but stopped as T'Challa's suit became glowing purple. A pulse sent Zabo back making him unconscious.
"How many people on our side are gonna join us..." Peter muttered as Steve then looked at him while Hope helped Scott up.
"I am who I say I am... Frozen in ice for all these decades... The serum in my blood kept me alive as I was in a coma... King T'Challa found me..." Steve then explained as T'Challa's mask went away as the nanites in them showed his face.
"The Black Panther is the ancient protector of my people and it's the sworn duty of all rulers of Wakanda. Our home is a host of secrets... It might be arrogant to say that we are the most technologically advanced country in the world... Captain America and Power Princess got to see first hand when they went after the Red Skull who was after a trail of our Vibranium... My grandfather used to tell stories of his encounter with them." T'Challa explained as Zarda greeted them.
"King T'Chanda was a most amazing ally and we agreed to keep the secrets... Good to see you again after all this time..." Zarda then smiled as everyone took this in and she pointed to Steve. "I spent years at his side and I can assure everyone here... This is Steve Rogers... Captain America himself..." Zarda then said as Peter was in awe.
"I have seen the news on... The internet? Spider-Man... A dedicated hero and I can see why Zarda fell for you." Steve then greeted Peter taking his hand to shake as he took this in.
"My mind has been blown so many times..." Scott muttered.
"So what now... My suit is kind of fried and I am sure that people will be hunting us down..." Rhodes then asked as they thought it over.
"We shall send a beacon out so that the US government can claim their fallen agents... The rest are free to come to Wakanda for sanctuary..." T'Challa then said motioning them to follow him. "You are all needed to help set this world right... As the giant space overseer has told me..." T'Challa then said as they blinked at that. "As for your suit Colonel Rhodes... We would be more than happy to have it fixed and actually upgraded to make it much better than it was before and give Spider-Man what he needs to create more of his webbing.." T'Challa told Rhodes who looked his way.
"Thanks King T'Challa but if we are giving it a makeover anyway... Can I ask if I can make it in my friend Hyperion's colors?" Rhodes then asked.
A secret Stark lab and Fury's jet landed and out came Fury, Castle, Coulson and Richmond as Nighthawk. "So we lost Power Princess as well as the Space Stone... Shame as she could have killed our loose end for us and there will be time for him to spin something to her..." Fury said as Coulson was taken aback.
"The Thunderbolts have been sent after them from the signature of the Space Stone energy. I don't think they could match Zarda but at the very least... They and Stark will be distracted as we claim this..." Richmond then said as he sneaked his way through the lab. The rest waited until the security was turned off and the entrance opened for them.
"Stark always thought that he was smarter than he actually was... Everything inside now belongs to us..." Richmond said as the lights went on and they noticed the Ultron robots inside as Coulson was aghast open mouthed with horror filling his voices.
"So that's the famous Sentinels..." Fury muttered looking at the purple and silver giant robots upgraded from the designs of scientist Boliver Trask during the 1970s to take care of the emerging Mutant population. His company had since been bought out and folded into Stark Industries with his designs being looked at and upgraded by Stark for possible use.
"The source of our nightmare and what led to your Pepper's death Coulson will be the source of our triumphs..." Fury then said grinning with arms up in the air grinning as Coulson silently had his mouth wide open.
The heroes being hosted at Wakanda's palace were amazed at the scenery of it and the technology that they saw used by the people; the structures and fashion were so vibrant and they had spent a few hours there going over what they had all learned. "So a meteor of Vibranium crashed here a long time ago and you have hid your technological breakthroughs all this time?" Hope asked as they were all shown to a meeting room.
"Indeed... The Black Panther has been charged with protecting our secrets, borders as well as going out and eliminating threats and whatever evil we come across... We have been hidden from too long however and it's time we make a difference with what we have made here..." T'Challa then explained to them.
"I had a hard time looking at what the US had become in my abscence... I thought Howard Stark was a friend but he and his son... Used superheroes for their own benefit and as weapons for them and the military to show their might... I can't rest until this is corrected..." Steve said seriously as Zarda sighed with her head down.
"I know what you mean Steve and I have no excuse... I was hidden and could have done so much more... Make more of a difference and I allowed myself to be part of the Stark superhero fame brigade and finding out just how bad it is... Superheroes who disregard the public that they are protecting and are willing to destroy all out of their own home for their own benefit... I need to fix this..." Zarda then muttered.
"Spider-Man... Peter I mean... What you told me of Isaiah Bradley and his fellow volunteers... I wish Howard was alive so that I could show him how I feel and make him answer for what he and the US government had done..." Steve said seriously.
"Well; we can do that to Stark Junior and I have this... We expose a lot of the dirty secrets on that drive and trust me there was plenty... Including a lot of evidence including Project: Hyperion and the truth of Ultron... Stark can't cover it up if we send it to everyone including all news groups and internet bloggers... Once we bring forth the best way to put it together off course and edit stuff to protect the identities of victims or stuff... As Colonel Rhodes said; Hyperion's parents were kind of victims as well or at least put into a tough situation..." Peter then said.
"How about Fury? He is still out there and working with Nighthawk?" Hope asked and they frowned at this.
"How about we focus on the bigger menace for now..." Rhodes then asked and they thought that it was the best bet.
"So is this what we are doing? Tearing the current broken system of superheroes and then starting over with us? Us all can be the new Squadron Supreme along with those that actually want to do good?" Scott then asked as they thought it over and nodded.
"Indeed... We would start a new era of heroes who work towards avenging those lives ruined and lost by the Stark empire." T'Challa then told them.
"So we will be a bunch of avengers?" Hope then decided to ask and they blinked at the name as a scientist came up to them.
"Colonel Rhodes... We have your new suit ready and made to your suggestions..." the scientist said as she then showed them all to where they had the newly rebuilt suit which was mainly dark red with bits of yellow like in the faceplate.
"Thanks... I want to start anew... For this new team and heroic age; we don't need a war machine... I am... Iron Man..." Rhodes then said with a smirk.
It was the next morning as Stanley as Blur was watching a pitch from Hill about him dating up and coming young model Mary Jane Watson. "I don't know Maria... Zarda has a younger boyfriend and that's good for her but me... Plus I am still not over..." Stanley then muttered as Hill slammed the table in agitation.
"She is not your wife anymore and her daughter is no longer yours's! Move on with your life and get with the picture! I am so sick of trying to do my job while you contrarian superheroes are getting in the way of me doing this for your own benefit..." Hill snapped as she sighed and went to her coffee was her phone was buzzing.
She then saw a trending news story which had a photo of Spider-Man, Power Princess, Ant Man, Wasp, Captain America, Iron Man and Black Panther together... She looked and spat out her coffee in shock.
May was getting more and more worried as she heard nothing from Peter and according to contacting Stark Industries; Spider-Man was on official business. She was taking time off from FEAST to deal with her worry and knew that it should be expected with him now a member of the world famous team of superheroes but still... She was terrified of bad news.
Finally she got a text from him saying that he was busy but he hopes to be home soon; along with a picture of him and Zarda to show that they were safe. She looked relieved but then a new hit trending news story hits and she gasped out loud and almost ready to swear as she glanced at it...
"That's just fantastic..." Stark muttered as he slammed his phone onto his desk furiously as it was him being informed at Walker had gotten embarrassed along with the Thunderbolts squad there while investigating the Space Stone signature there. That was a powerful relic that was at loose and with Spider-Man and Power Princess who he wanted back safely. Walker said some junk about there being a cat guy who knocked them out and a guy dressed as Captain America helping them all escape.
Plus Rhodey turning traitor? After all he had did and built that suit for him? That was just fantastic...
He heard commotion outside his office and then opened the door to see Hank Pym there in his Yellowjacket suit while the security were trying to restrain him and he zapped them away. "Hello there Hank..." Tony said as Hank attacked him.
"You son of a... You ruined my life... My marriage... My mental health... All that guilt and all along... Ultron was your failure... Or success as he did exactly what you wanted..." snapped Hank as he was put into a rainbow coloured construct of a bubble and put away. "Thank you Colonel..." Stark told Ledger who was there in his military uniform looking serious.
"We have a problem... Government and Stark confidential files have been leaked to every news outlet in the world... THE WORLD... Ultron has been spilt along with the evidence of many collateral damage incidents covered up... Plus videos and files of Project: Hyperion..." Ledger told Stark helping him up.
Stark was open mouthed.
Yes this was my plan I had hoped to do in Spider and Charlatans; bring forth the forming of the Avengers as it steers away from the premise of the actual Boys comics and show.
