cecebeec- I hope this doesn't sound bad, but I could see the twist coming a mile away. I think I've read too much of how you write and saw Nichelle not lasting long. Also, Axel x Emma is an interesting ship. Didn't see that coming, I saw that as the better twist. Axel kicking Chase was so...therapeutic. Scary Girl liking Damien is a mystery...a good one too! Still a good chapter though! Can't wait for more.
Me- Oof. I guess my unpredictability has become predictable. Nice to see the Axel kick was enjoyable.
I'm surprised Axel x Emma was more surprising to you than the Nichelle blindside. I was setting up seeds for it in Chapter 3.

See, I used to ship them before the show aired, but when it did I saw that Chase was… not at all what I was thinking he would be

I do agree with you that Chase's personality was not what I expected either.
WoolyLamb- I'm kind of impressed! I tend to begrudgingly expect fics to recycle canon but you went with new interactions and intros right off the bat, and the times it's reused it's in new contexts. I like how Caleb's elimination is handled more directly and already there's a huge change from canon with Julia and Bowie forming an alliance! I really enjoyed the segment where Priya imitated Emma, that was funny and clever! I think Chase is meant to be Asian judging from his VA but that's by no means implied to be canon yet and there are Asian Latinos irl anyway, just felt like pointing it out. You have a pretty good grasp on the characters and I like how you gave Caleb further characterization, this revisits tdi2023 in a way that people can get something out of it even if they've already seen it. Nice work!
Me- Even though I love the reboot. I did find Caleb's elimination to be a bit rushed. So I knew that's the first thing I wanted try and write when doing this fic.
Oh. I never looked at the voice actors so I had no clue Chase was supposed to be Asian. Just going off of appearances, he looks like Marco from Star Versus. So I just thought he was hispanic.
Yeah my main goal with this fic. Isn't just to copy everything canon did. But offer a new perspective on the season. They might be saving him for the next season. But I thought it was dirty that they only gave Caleb like two lines. So I wanted to try and give him a personality.

Today the contestants were dining on broccoli, pears, apples and brussell sprouts. They were also provided with some orange soda to help it all go down. Bowie got his tray and sat next to the Hockey Bros.

"Nope." Wayne said
"Nuh-uh. We usually leave early to get a workout in." Raj said
"Interesting. Mind if I tag along next time?" Bowie asked
"Sure the more the merrier eh!" Wayne said

"I already have an alliance with Julia. But it wouldn't hurt to expand my horizons."
"I'll work on my bonds with the hockey bros and Emma. So when elimination time comes, I'll be completely safe."
"Which means our poor darling MK will be out next. I tried speaking to her but she's very stand-offish. Having a bad social game will send you right out the door."

The three boys finished their breakfast.
"I'm gonna go check the cabin." Bowie said
Bowie got up and left.
~The Deadly Frogs Cabin~
Bowie stood in front of the girls side of the cabin.
"Knock knock." Bowie said
"Coming.." Emma said
Emma crawled out of bed and made her way to the door. She opened it and Bowie gasped.
"Ugh! You look like a hot mess!" Bowie said
"I feel like it too.." Emma said
"What's wrong with you?" Bowie asked
"Didn't get much sleep last night. Was too busy thinking about stuff..." Emma said
Emma yawned and stretched her arms.
"Is this about Chase? If he's really bothering you this much. I can work my magic and convince the other team to vote for him." Bowie said
"No I'm done wasting my time on him.. I've been thinking about someone else. And the feelings I have for her are confusing." Emma said
"Her?" Bowie asked

"Bowie when did you know that you liked guys?" Emma asked
"Hmmm.. Probably back in middle school. I always grew up thinking that guys liking girls was the norm. So when I started crushing on a guy, I didn't know what to do. I went to my parents for advice and they really helped me out." Bowie said
"So did you get the guy?" Emma asked
"Oh god no. I asked him out and then he called me a slur. But I'm still proud of myself for trying." Bowie said
Emma sighed.
"What if I do the same and then she hates me?" Emma asked
"Before I can answer that question. I need to know who you're talking about." Bowie said

Bowie's eyes widened.
"The crazy chick from the other team who eats dead raccoon? She's your gay awakening?!" Bowie asked

Bowie placed his hand on Emma's shoulder.
"I can't tell you what Axel may or may not do. But I will advise you to follow your heart. You only get one life, you might as well live it to the fullest." Bowie said

MK's morning routine started with checking Nichelle's phone.
"Looks like Bowie was in here recently. Let's see what he had to say."
MK pressed play and watched Bowie's confessional. Her smug look quickly turned into a look of worry.

The Ferocious Trout sat together and ate. Zee finished his third soda.
"Dude this is like the best day ever. All the soda I can ever ask for! Gotta go get me some more." Zee said
Zee got up and went back in line for more food.
"Something's up. Chris wouldn't give us edible food for breakfast unless it had something to do with a challenge." Priya said
"Edible food? There's nothing edible about broccoli and brussell sprouts. Yo Chef! Can we order a pizza?" Chase asked
A meat cleaver came flying out of the kitchen and landed near Chase's head. Luckily he ducked just in time.
"Nevermind.." Chase said
The camera panned over to a bored Damien poking his food with a fork.

"I should be coming up with ways to get myself eliminated. But all I've been thinking about was the kiss."
"It was great but also really confusing. She said she did it because I'm cute. But if that's the case why is she always tryna creep me out?"
Damien clutched his head.
"Man I'm getting a migraine from all of this nonsense."

Damien glanced over and saw Scary Girl eating her food like a wild dog. He hesitantly tapped her shoulder.
"Hey Scary.. can we talk for a moment?" Damien asked
Scary Girl swallowed a mouth full of food and locked eyes with Damien.
"Sure!" Scary Girl said
"I wanted to talk about the kiss. Um... it was nice! Definitely! Hehe.. I just wanted to get a better understand of where you're coming from." Damien said

"I like kissing your face. BUT. I have a bad habit of getting bored easily. I've dumped a lot of boyfriends and girlfriends because they stopped being entertaining. I don't want the same thing to happen to you. Sooo.. I'd rather not get into a relationship." Scary Girl said
"So what exactly does that make us?" Damien asked
Scary Girl leaned forward and kissed Damien on the cheek.
"I don't know! And that's the fun part!" Scary Girl said

Some time had passed and the campers arrived at the forest for their next challenge.
"Before we begin. I have a special announcement to make." Chris said
Some competitors looked at each other with worry.

"It's team swap time! One member must swap over to another tribe. This may come in handy for those of you who feel like you're at the bottom of the totem pole. Soooo do I have any takers?" Chris asked
Chase immediately raised his hand.
"Broo... you're leaving us?" Zee asked
"Sorry dude but I can't pass up this opportunity to be with Emma!" Chase said
Emma huffed and crossed her arms.
"Looks like the Trout have decided. Frogs?" Chris asked
CONFESSIONAL: EMMA
"This may be risky for my game."
"But there's no way I'm gonna be on the same team as Chase."

MK raised her hand.
"I'll take one for the team." MK said
"Um... I kinda wanted to swap." Emma said
MK shrugged.
"You snooze you lose." MK said
"MK and Chase! Please go over to your new teams!" Chris said
MK smirked.
"Before I go. I wanted to leave you guys with a present. Bowie is trying to form an alliance with all of you so he can't get voted off. Just thought ya'll should know." MK said
Bowie, Julia, Emma and The Hockey Bros jaws dropped. MK walked away victoriously.
CONFESSIONAL: BOWIE
"Did she just? But I thought..."
"What the fuck just happened?!"

Chase walked over to the Frogs.
"Wassup! New team!" Chase said
Chase was met with crickets. The Frogs were too stunned with MK's reveal.
"Tough crowd.." Chase said
"Tough crowd indeed. Now today's challenge will require you to be stealthy and silent. You'll have to race across the island without being detected by the raptors." Chris said
"The basketball team?!" Raj asked
"No. Raptors as in dinosaurs." Chris said
"Did you skip a history class? Dinosaurs have been extinct for millions of years." Damien said
"Have they?" Chris asked
A loud roar could be heard as several shadowy figures moved throughout the trees. The contestants huddled in fear.
"As long as we're quiet. I think we should be good.." Priya said
Right on cue, Priya let out a giant belch.
"Priya? Did you just?" Damien asked
"Excuse me!" Priya said
Damien burped. Then Zee burped. Soon all of the contestants were burping.
"You guys are all gro-" Julia said
Julia let out the biggest burp of all. She covered her mouth.
"Please tell me that won't make the final cut.." Julia said
"It will! In case you haven't noticed. Today's breakfast was designed to make you all burp. Which will make it harder to walk through the island silently. I originally wanted to go with farts but the networks didn't like that idea." Chris said
"While I'm glad we're not farting. How long will these last?" "BURRRRP" Bowie asked
"I don't know. Depends on how your stomach works. Now let the challenge begin!" Chris said
Chris blew an airhorn. Several velociraptors appeared from the trees and roared. The contestants screamed as they tried to get away.
~The Forest: Group 1~
Bowie and Raj stopped running to catch their breath. Raj realized that Wayne wasn't nearby.
"I think I left Wayne behind! We gotta go back for him!" Raj said
"Not sure if you remembered. But Chris said this was a race. Which means we need to go that way." Bowie said
"But I can't just leave him behind! He's my best friend." Raj said
Bowie tried to think of a compromise.
"How about this? Once we make it to the other side of the island. Then you can search for Wayne. I think he's tough enough to handle himself out here until then." Bowie said
"I guess that makes sense.." Raj said
"Good." Bowie said
Bowie walked off with Raj not too far behind.
"BURRRRP" "Oh my god excuse me!" Bowie said
"Not bad. But I think I can do better." Raj said
Raj let out an even bigger burp. A velociraptor heard this and jumped out of a bush. Both boys stood in shocked silence.
"If we stay still. It shouldn't be able to detect us.." Raj said
"Where'd you learn that from?" Bowie asked
"Saw it in a movie." Raj said
The velociraptor roared and charged towards the two boys. They screamed and ran away.
~The Forest: Group 2~
Axel was on high alert as she moved from tree to tree. With MK not too far behind.
"Can you slow down? We all weren't raised to be a crazy nature woman like you." MK said
Axel ignored her request and continued moving. Suddenly MK got an idea.
"Oh that's fine. If you don't want to listen to me. I guess I'll tell everyone about your secret alliance with Emma." MK said
Axel turned around and picked MK up off the ground.
"How do you know about that?" Axel asked
"Put me down!" MK said
"Answer my question first!" Axel said
"I'll do it after you release me from your manly death grip!" MK said
Axel dropped MK.
"Now talk." Axel said
MK belched instead.
"That's all you're getting out of me hehe. But here's the deal, I'm willing to keep that secret hidden for a price." MK said
"I don't have any money on me." Axel said
"Ugh! It's a figure of speech you dolt! You have to vote for whoever I tell you to! That's the price!" MK said
Axel thought about this and shrugged.
"Whatever." Axel said

"MK's been blabbing out secrets all day."
"Where is she getting all this info from?"

Wayne and Emma were walking together.
"Rajie! Bro! Where are you?!" Wayne asked
"I don't think he's nearby Wayne. We should go on ahead." Emma said
"I guess so eh." Wayne said
Wayne and Emma started to walk in the opposite direction. They saw a can of soda lying on the ground.
"Sweet! Free soda!" Wayne said
"No! Don't! The soda is making us burp. Remember?" Emma asked
"Oh yeah... What if I just had a tiny sip?" Wayne asked
Emma glared at Wayne.
"No soda for this guy eh!" Wayne said
Wayne kicked the can and it flew across the air. They heard someone say "Ow!". The two decided to run over to investigate. And they saw Raj and Bowie.
"BRO!" Wayne said
"BRO!" Raj said
Wayne and Raj ran over to chest bump each other. Bowie and Emma high-fived.
"I'm glad we're all safe." Emma said
"Likewise. Now let's get moving people!" Bowie said
Raj, Bowie, Wayne and Emma walked together. A question popped up in Emma's head.
"Since you're here I might as well ask... What did MK mean when she said you were making deals with everybody?" Emma asked
Bowie gulped.
"Girl I would not listen to anything that gremlin has to say. It's obvious she was just bitter that we were gonna vote her off next." Bowie said
"That makes sense eh." Wayne said
"Yeah it totally does.." Emma said

"I really don't want to doubt one of my friends but something in my gut is telling me that this MK story is worth looking into."

Damien was following Priya's lead as they traveled through the forest.
"Just checking. But if we were to hypothetically lose again. I'd have your vote right?" Damien asked
Priya sighed.
"I really wish I could help you Damien. But you're the reason we won last time. We need you on our team." Priya said
"No you don't! That win was a coincidence and luck! I'll bomb this challenge for sure!" Damien said
Damien tried to let out a burp and managed to force out a hiccup.
"Seriously?" Damien asked
Priya chuckled. Damien groaned in frustration. He tried to think of a way to gain Priya's vote.
CONFESSIONAL: DAMIEN
"Well like my grandma always used to say."
"Kill em with kindness."

"Y'know Priya. You really are looking stunning today." Damien said
Priya's eyes widened as she blushed.
"Really? Thanks.." Priya said

Julia was stuck with the leftovers. The leftover being Chase. The two walked together silently.

"I was gonna pull out my phone. But what MK said earlier got me thinking."
"Why should Bowie be the only one to have multiple alliances?"

"Y'know.. when you really think about it. We're a lot alike." Julia said
"How so?" Chase asked
"We're both influencers and really hot. We're the type of people who deserve to make it far on this show. And I was thinking... maybe we could help each other out?" Julia asked
"You had me until you said "help each other out". Doesn't really sound like my style." Chase said
Julia rolled her eyes.
"Okay then. What is it gonna take for you to join an alliance with me?" Julia asked
"Two words. Help. Me. Win. Emma. Back." Chase said
"That's five words." Julia said
Chase shrugged.
"Fine... I help you win Emma back then we team up. Deal?" Julia asked
"Sure whatever! Now let's get to the part where I get what I want!" Chase said
"Easy romeo. Tell me a little bit about your relationship with her. So I know what I'm dealing with." Julia said
Chase went onto explain his entire love story with Emma. Julia looked absolutely disgusted.
CONFESSIONAL: JULIA
"Emma is either the most loyal girlfriend ever or really stupid. I would've dumped him after day one."

"It sounds like you need to show Emma that you appreciate her. Try giving her a gift." Julia said
Chase scratched his head.
"Hmm.. what does Emma like? Well Emma likes me so she has to like whatever I like. Soooo... I should get her a pizza!" Chase said
"I don't think-" Julia said
"PIZZA TIME! PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!" Chase said
Chase ran off towards the Mess Hall in search of pizza. Julia begrudgingly followed him.
~The Forest: Group 5~
Scary Girl and Zee were walking together.
"It's always good to expand my horizons. What fun ways should I torture you?" Scary Girl asked
"Eh. I don't really want to be tortured." Zee said
"You don't have a choice..." Scary Girl said
"Major bummer." Zee said
Zee stopped walking and stood still. Scary Girl tried to see what he was looking at. She saw a sleeping raptor up ahead. Suddenly she got an idea.
"Hey raptor! Zee said you're an ugly old fossil!" Scary Girl said
The raptor woke up and growled.
"I didn't say that... at least I don't think I did." Zee said
The raptor roared and chased after a screaming Zee. Scary Girl waved goodbye.
Zee tried running through the forest but he tripped over a rock and fell down. He tried to crawl away but the raptor bit one of his legs.
"My leg is not a snack dude." Zee said
Zee pulled on his leg and it snapped off. Revealing itself to be a prosthetic leg. The dinosaur tried to eat it and ended up choking.
"Y'know what? Enjoy the free meal dude. I packed another leg just in case of an emergency." Zee said
Zee hopped away on one leg.
CONFESSIONAL: ZEE
"Did I never mention that I have a prosthetic leg?"
"My bad dude."

~ Group 1 and 3~
Bowie stopped everyone and ordered them to stay still. He thought he heard a raptor noise.
"On 3 we run in different directions.." Bowie said
"1..."
"2..."
"3!"
Before anyone could run away, Axel jumped out of a bush with a sharpened stick. Everybody sighed a breath of relief.
"Oh it's just you.." Bowie said
"Axel!" Emma said
Emma ran over to hug her. Axel showed a small smile before returning to her senses and shoving her away.
"I thought you guys were a bunch of raptors." Axel said
"Likewise. You travelling alone?" Bowie asked
MK crawled out of a bush.
"Look what the cat dragged in. A filthy liar." Bowie said
"I just tell it like it is. If you can't handle that. Then you're MOOLO." MK said
"What does that even mean?" Bowie asked
"The fact you have to ask makes you even more MOOLO." MK said
Bowie scoffed.
"Am I moolo?" Wayne asked
"Not a real word. Just like how none of the stuff she said is real." Bowie said
"Actually.. I wanted to ask. Where did you get that information about Bowie?" Emma asked
"That's on a need to know basis and you don't need to know. But if you want to check my sources. Just ask Wayne and Raj." MK said
Bowie's eyes widened.
CONFESSIONAL: BOWIE
"I do NOT like where this conversation is going."

"Oh my god I think I see a raptor!" Bowie said
"Not now! Wayne! Raj! Did Bowie ask you two for an alliance?" Emma asked
The two boys looked at each other. Confused about all this tension.
"All he said to us was that he wanted to tag along for a workout." Raj said
"Totally eh. I trust Bowie because he's my teammate." Wayne said
"And that's your only reason?" MK asked
"Yeah pretty much. A team's a solid bond eh. Unbreakable like a rubber band." Wayne said
"Thank you boys. Now do you all believe me?" Bowie asked
"Yeah.. I'm so sorry for doubting you bestie!" Emma said
Emma and Bowie high fived.
"Nah! This is garbage! He's totally playing you all!" MK said
~Playa De Losers~
Caleb, Ripper, Millie and Nichelle were sitting by the pool. Caleb's ears perked up.
"What is it?" Millie asked
"I have a feeling someone used my catchphrase without my permission." Caleb said
~The Forest: Group 1 and 3~
"The only garbage person here is YOU. Stop spreading lies about my friend!" Emma said
Emma huffed and walked away. She was joined by Bowie, Wayne and Raj.
CONFESSIONAL: BOWIE
"That was a close call. Operation Form Alliances with Everybody is Officially Cancelled."
"I'll just stick to Julia and Emma. That's at least enough votes for a tiebreaker."

~ The Forest: Group 4~
Priya and Damien were currently running from a velociraptor. They went over to the Mess Hall to seek shelter. They opened the door and slammed it shut. They were surprised to see Julia in there.
"Uh.. hi? What brought you here?" Priya asked
"Chase is trying to make a pizza to show Emma how much he loves her. I'm watching out for any raptors that might come in." Julia said
"Well one was right behind us. But raptors have tiny hands so there's no way they can open the door." Priya said
The velociraptor jumped through the window.
"Oh.." Priya said
Priya, Julia and Damien screamed. They ran into the kitchen. The microwave was on fire and Chase was trying to put it out.
"WHAT HAPPENED?!" Julia asked
"Nothing! I was just cooking pizza!" Chase said
Damien looked over at the mess.
"With tinfoil?" Damien asked
"Yeah. I couldn't find any plates and the lunch tray wouldn't fit." Chase said
"Ugh! I can't believe I teamed up with the dumbest man alive!" Julia said
The raptor stormed into the kitchen. In front of them was an angry dinosaur and behind them was a small fire. The four contestants were unsure of what to do.
Damien looked over to the side and saw some oven mitts. An idea formed in his head. He rushed over to put on the mitts. He then picked up the burning microwave and threw it at the raptor. It exploded and blew the raptor's head off. Along with a portion of the kitchen.
Everybody coughed as they were covered in soot.
"I guess that's one way to kill a dinosaur.." Priya said
Julia walked over and saw wires poking out of the dinosaurs body.
"I never paid attention in school that much. But I don't think this looks right." Julia said
Damien walked over and examined the body.
"Ohhh it's a robot. I knew it! Dinosaurs are extinct!" Damien said
"I think Chris used robots during the Pahkitew Island season. He must've had some left-over." Priya said
CONFESSIONAL: DAMIEN
"Think of all the different ways this advanced technology could help mankind."
"And it's being used for a cheap reality show? Society is whack man."

Damien, Priya, Chase and Julia exited the Mess Hall and successfully made it over to the other side of the island. Chris was sitting there on a chair.
"Congrats to you four for making it first! You get to relax a bit before everybody arrives!" Chris said
Damien and Priya high fived. Chase tried to do the same but Julia declined. Some minutes passed by before Scary Girl arrived. She walked over to Damien and Priya.
"Alright! All we need is Zee. MK and Axel and we win!" Priya said
"Terrific.." Damien said
"I don't think Zee will be joining us any time soon." Scary Girl said
"Why?" Priya asked
"He's velociraptor food." Scary Girl said
"HUH?!" Priya asked
"I wish I could've stayed behind and watched the bloodbath. But I had places to be." Scary Girl said
Priya and Damien had a disturbed look on their faces.
CONFESSIONAL: PRIYA
"My parents always told me to watch out for the unpredictable ones."
"I definitely have to start paying closer attention to Scary Girl."

A hour passed as MK and Axel made it to the other side of the island.
"Good to see almost everybody accounted for. Where's Zee?" Axel asked
Priya and Damien pointed at Scary Girl.
"Let's just say the last time I saw Zee. Is probably the last time I saw Zee." Scary Girl said
"What did you do to him?" MK asked
"Nothing! The dinosaur did all the hard work." Scary Girl said
CONFESSIONAL: MK
"Is there even a screening process for this show?"

"Well campers. Who arrives next will determine who wins the challenge. Will it be Emma, Bowie, Raj and Wayne? Or will it be Zee? Place your bets now." Chris said
"I'll send some of my warrior goddess energy to the others." Julia said
Julia sat down and started meditating. Chase realized something.
"Aw man! I still don't have a gift for Emma! Jules you gotta help me out!" Chase said
Julia ignored him and tried to meditate.
"Jules! Jules! Jules! Jules! Jules! Jules! Jules!" Chase said
Julia's eye twitched. She pulled a phone out of her pocket and threw it at Chase.
"Here! NOW. LEAVE. ME. ALONE." Julia said
Chase smiled as he put the phone in his pocket. He looked up ahead and smiled.
"Here they come!" Chase said
Emma, Bowie, Raj and Wayne made it to the other side of the island. Chase and Julia cheered.
"The Deadly Frogs win! Which means the Ferocious Trout are heading to elimination tonight!" Chris said
Axel stomped her boot angrily and walked away.
"Where are you going?" Priya asked
"To find Zee! He better have a good explanation for this!" Axel said
~ The Forest~
Zee was aimlessly hopping around on one leg.
"Which way is camp?" Zee asked himself
Axel stomped over and pointed her finger.
"SOLDIER! YOU COST US THE CHALLENGE! WHAT-OH MY GOD!" Axel said
Axel looked down and saw Zee only had one leg.
"Yeah, a raptor took my leg. I guess it must be a fine delicacy for them or something." Zee said
"ARE YOU OKAY?!" Axel asked
"I could go for a soda right now. But I'm alright." Zee said
"A DINOSAUR ATE YOUR LEG! YOU SHOULD BE SCREAMING IN PAIN RIGHT NOW!" Axel said
Zee looked down and shrugged.
"I still got another one back at camp." Zee said
"Huh?!" Axel asked
"A prosthetic. My mom said to pack two, I'm glad I listened to her." Zee said
"Oh. You're an amputee?" Axel asked
"Yeah." Zee said
"How come you never told us you had a prosthetic leg?" Axel asked
"Probably the same reason you never told me you had a normal leg." Zee said
"Fair enough." Axel said

"That's a pretty big secret to hide from us."
"I think he should go home. But I have to see what MK wants to do."
Axel groaned.
"She's gonna pay for blackmailing me."

~Ferocious Trout Cabin~
MK sat on a bed while Axel was doing pushups.
"Zee lost us the challenge. Zee goes home. Agree?" Axel asked
MK shook her head.
"Nah. We can get Zee out at anytime. He's a total goober. We should use this opportunity to get rid of someone strong." MK said
"I'm listening.." Axel said
~ Deadly Frogs Cabin~
Bowie and Emma were doing each other's nails when someone knocked on the door.
"I'll get it!" Emma said
Emma walked over and opened the door. As soon as she saw who it was, her smile evaporated.
"What do you want?" Emma asked
"I just wanted to show how much I appreciate you. So I got you this!" Chase said
Chase pulled a phone out of his pocket and gave it to Emma.
"Thanks... I guess? You're not doing this as an attempt to win me back are you?" Emma asked
"I totally am! Did it work? Do we get to kiss now?" Chase asked
"No we do not! Keep your stupid gift!" Emma said
Emma chucked the phone at Chase's head and slammed the door shut.
~Campfire~
The Ferocious Trout walked over to the campfire. Chris and Chef stood before them with a tray of marshmallows.
"Today was a fun day filled with dinosaurs, burping and a small fire. Sadly one of you has to leave. Who do you think it will be Chef?" Chris asked
"Let's see... MK has been spreading rumors about people all day. Might not be the best introduction to her new team." Chef said
"Is that all you got big guy? I expected worse." MK said
"Scary Girl! You put your own teammate in danger, he's lucky to be alive right now." Chef said
"It's all cool dude. I probably would've done the same." Zee said
Damien looked down and gasped.
"What happened to your leg?!" Damien asked
"Dangit I forgot again. I was gonna tell you guys about my prosthetic leg. I should probably write it down on a sticky note." Zee said
"SHUSH! It's time to go vote!" Chef said

"The votes are in! And it looks like Scary Girl, MK and Axel are safe! Come and collect a marshmallow." Chris said
Damien, Priya and Zee remained marshmallowless.
"Wait why am I in the bottom three? I didn't do anything wrong." Priya said
"Same could be said for Caleb and he went home." Chef said
Priya gulped.
"The next marshmallow goes to..." Chris said
Damien put his two hands together and prayed. Priya looked nervous and Zee took a sip of his soda.

"Damien!"
Damien sighed as the marshmallow landed on his lap.
"I've got two votes for Zee and two votes for Priya. So I've decided to settle things with a tiebreaker. Will the bottom two please step forward?" Chris asked
Priya and Zee shared a glance as they stood up. They walked over to where Chris was.
"The game is Rock, Paper, Scissors. On my mark you either have to throw down a rock, paper or scissors. The winner gets to stay and the loser gets a drone ride home." Chris said

"Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! I'm in the bottom two!"
"My parents would be so disappointed in me if I didn't even make the merge! I need to win this tiebreaker no matter what!"

"I have a good feeling about this. And when I have a good feeling, things usually turn out okay."
"Or things end up going pretty bad. It's 50/50."

Priya and Zee looked at each other with worry. Priya closed her eyes and tried to focus.
"GO!" Chris said
They both extended their arms and threw a sign down.

Priya opened her eyes. She had rock and Zee had scissors.
"Priya wins the tiebreaker! Which means Zee is going home!" Chris said
Zee looked down at his hand and sighed.
"Dang man... that sucks." Zee said
MK scoffed.

"Me plus Axel and Zee should've been enough votes to send Priya home."
"Hmmm.. did Axel betray me? I think I need to show her whose boss around here."

"Well I didn't win the million bucks. But to be honest, I lasted way longer than I expected."

~ Dock of Shame~
Zee arrived at the Dock of Shame.
"I normally don't do nice things like this. But we have some leftover soda and we figured you'd be doing us a favor by getting rid of it." Chris said
Chris handed Zee a pack of orange soda.
"Whoa! Best day ever dude!" Zee said
"You just got eliminated and lost a chance at a million bucks." Chris said
"True! But free soda!" Zee said
Zee hugged the pack of soda and smiled. The Drone of Despair flew by and picked up Zee by the back of his shirt. He then flew off into the sunset.
"Is there a greater love story than a guy and some orange soda? Stay tuned to find out on Total Drama Reboot!" Chris said
I have returned for Chapter 5. As I tried to tackle the most infamous episode of TDI 2023. Not for good reasons. I'm usually pretty neutral when it comes to fart humor. But that one shot of Emma holding her skirt while she's farting was so suspect. And I will admit part of me does think back to the Dramarama Fart Fairy scandal. I never watched Dramarama but the premise for that episode sounds disgusting.
I'm not gonna accuse the writers of having a fetish. All I ask is that they come up with different material besides fart jokes. They've been doing it for years now.
So I slightly altered the challenge a bit. I think burping is louder and less disgusting than farting. Even then I didn't want it to be a huge focus this chapter. I wanted to take advantage of the slower pace to emphasize character interactions and new dynamics.
I would've liked to see a team swap in canon so I included it here. Mainly because I ran into a dilemma. I decided on the Trout losing this chapter. But there's no way the character I intended to eliminate would go home over Chase. So I figured this was a feasible solution. Sorry to any Zee fans. I had no idea what to do with his character. So this seemed like a good time to get rid of him.
