"I thought she was just a nightmare of a legend, bedtime story to tell children so they would behave. She was said to be one of the strongest beings in this whole world, something that could reshape the world if she genuinely wanted to." She stopped just to think of the stories she had been told over the years.
"To think, that bloodlust fox is truly real, not just real but that she is inside of you but why would she be in your body? The fox that said enjoyed hunting others down, like a game for her to play every night." She asked him, slowly walking over to him almost like in a daze.
"Na, she is very friendly to me, I mean she can be scary when she is mad. That is something that is rare for her to get mad, yet she never gets angry with no matter what I do." Naruto cheerfully told her.
"I have a very hard time believing that, but if she does you no harm, then that is all that matters for the moment." Akali pointed out.
"True, plus we have happy news to share with you little one." Ahri poked him on the forehead before smiling.
"Starting today, the four of us are going to take care of you. We just signed the paperwork for adopting you which mean you better behave yourself, got it?" She teased him at the end before being lightly head on the head.
She pouted at Kai'Sa for hitting her, she did know her tails were moving around fast because she wanted to see how he would react. She just moved her focus back to him, slowly she could see him trying to open his mouth to speak.
"Why would you want to do that?" he simply asked.
"We did save you, because we also do not want you to keep having that happen to you which is why we are going to train you." Before Ahri could finish.
"It mostly going be me training you, with some help from Kai'Sa but Ahri here? I do not have any hopes she even knows how to train someone." Akali shot down her friend.
"I do know how to train! Just because I use my kitsune powers does not mean I do not know how to fight." A new pout formed across Ahri's lips.
"This group is very strange but funny at the same time, I don't think this pace can really fit everyone to live here." Naruto pointed out.
"Your Hokage had given us a house right outside of the village gates, so it will give us private time away from everyone. This way they will not be able to get to you without us knowing or having to go through to us first. We are a lot stronger than we look so do not worry your head on that one." Kai'Sa answered him.
He was surprised that the Hokage had done that, he was happy that he could have a family that he never had before. There was just a part of him that was wondering if they really were being honest with him or trying to trick him like all the others that came before them. That part of him was why he was still alive, yet he did know he could not always trust everyone that he met in this village.
"Let's get going and first we need to get your stuff from your place, why don't you show us the way?" Ahri happily clipped in.
"Sure, but you may not like what you see." Naruto started to walk away from them, leading them back to his place.
When they got to his apartment it was in the red-light area, they could not believe that he was living in this place. They could see words saying demon or die all over the door and walls of his little apartment which caused Ahri to grow angry at what she was seeing, she honestly could not believe how unforgivable they were acting towards a little child.
When they got the very few things, he did on their own they took him back to where the house he would be living. After they got to the house, they just dropped his stuff off before dragging him away back to the village, they wanted to get him new clothes.
When they got to the store, they could see everyone staring at him with hate in their eyes which just made Ahri growl. She was hiding her body with the hood, even so she could not keep the growls due to how angry she was becoming.
If Naruto had not been there with her, she may have killed every single one of these people in the store for how they were acting towards an innocent child. There were only a few things that would push Ahri to this level of anger, and this was one of them, she hated fools like this. Fools that treated people wrongly for no reason.
Akali pulled them out of the store and headed back home, she did sensei that someone was following them. When they stopped at the house, she turned around to throw one of her stars at the nearby tree.
"Easy, easy no need to do that. I am just a trader that happened to see your little event at the store you were just at." The figured walked out, their body was covered head to toe in a black robe with a black hood hiding their face.
"Then, trader who are you and why did you fallow us?" Akali's voice showed her unhappiness.
She took the robe off to show her true look to them, she had light blue eyes, her hair was long golden blonde. The thing that got them the most was her golden fur fox ears and one tail that was moving back and forth.
Her body, on the other hand, was something that got anyone staring at. She had large breasts that could be same size as Ahri if not bit bigger, she was wearing what looked to be a modified shinobi bodysuit that was multi different shades of purple.
"You can call me Yukikaze Panettone and I can help you get supplies. In fact, these would be better than the ones in this village." She gave a cheerful smile.
"Why would you do that for us? I mean yes, we would still be paying you but why?" Evelynn was one to speak up.
"Because I was told to help him, but I got lost on the way here. You know, it is not easy trying find a shinobi village for the first time." She pouted on things which Naruto had found to be cute.
"Why help me? Who told you to do that?" Naruto quietly asked.
"That is something that I cannot tell you yet but soon I can just not know. All I can say is that many people are watching you. Many kinds of kitsune groups and other non-kitsune groups as well. I am not sure what they are planning but they all say when you grow older you will have the power to change the world, they just want a head start on gaining your favor." The young fox explained.
"You sound like her, yet she said same thing to me few times now. That there will always be people coming for me due to her picking me out to be her successor not sure what that even means to be honest." Naruto honestly admitted.
Ahri looked back down at him surprised, she was also worried what kind of future he would have if he really did take Tamamo's place. She did know the legends said there had to always be one divine kitsune in the world at any given time. Ahri did know even if the world believed Tamamo was an evil spirit, she was still part of the divine faction of power.
"Looks like you have a hard future ahead of yourself, how about we talk it over with this lady about the supplies you will need?" Akali asked him, he just nodded his head.
They spent the next few hours going over things and costs with the young kitsune, when she left, she just kissed Naruto's cheek to tease him. He just stared at her confused while watching her leave, the other women just shook their heads down at him.
The group went inside to get it ready to be live able because it was full of dust and other dirt due not being lived in for years. The Hokage had told him the house was old and never used since the start of the village's history. It was exceptionally large with about ten bedrooms which meant it was going to take them weeks if not a month to fully clean the house up.
Naruto just looked at them and smiled because they were trying their hardest to help him which he was handful for, it was new feeling that he felt. The other part of him still wondered just how long they would care about him for, just how long till they picked to leave him all alone like everyone else did.
Later that night Naruto was sitting on the bed in one of the three rooms that they had finished cleaning up, it same one he was going be sharing with Ahri for the night. He watched her walk in with some ramen in her hands because it was easier to order out than to make anything now.
"Here you go, carefully it's still very hot." Ahri handed him the bowl before sitting down beside him to eat.
She just watched him eat the ramen faster than she had seen anything before, she did not even know where it all went in just a short time. She smiled before going to enjoy herself, she stopped quickly once she felt her tail being petted. She looked down at Naruto who seem to be fully into petting her tails which was making her go crazy.
"Carefully with these, they are very sensitive." Her words fall on deaf eyes because he just kept playing with each one of her nine tails. "Children these days…never listen." Ahri just did her best to put up with being petted.
The next morning Naruto was woken up by the sound of what seemed like purring, he opened his eyes to see Ahri fast asleep. Her nine tails were around him which caused him to feel warmth that he never felt before, he just smiled before he moved back into the embrace, she had him in. He did know he hoped this would last for a long time.
Later he reopened his eyes to see Ahri was gone, he slowly moved out of the bed before the door opened. He could see Ahri walking in with what looked to be a small robe and two towels, he just grabbed his hand before leading him out of the room. "It's time to give you a long-needed bath because you smell." She bluntly stated.
"What! I can do it myself." He did his best to get out of her grab.
"Nice, try and just deal with it." She just fired back before pushing him into the clean bathroom.
The four of them did their best in the morning for this and there was no way she was going to let him get his way out of it. She started to take his clothes off before pushing him into the shower before she started to undress.
Naruto just looked away trying to figure out how to get out of here yet once she was inside with him, he could feel the water hitting their bodies. He just looked up at her before he felt her washing his head which he still did his best to get free of the shower.
Ahri had spent the whole time fighting with him to stay still, she really did not know how he could put up such a hard fight at his age. Once she was done cleaning him, she watched him leave while she felt cleaning herself. "Some guys would be happy with what he just went through, but it was fun teasing him." She simply spoke to herself.
When he got dressed, he started to head outside which he was stopped when he could smell cook being made. He started to walk to the kitchen which he just stood there staring over at Akali, who was currently the one cooking.
She was wearing a very tight min tank-top that hugged her chest along with just a pair of pink panties, which showed off her long legs. She looked back at him then just slowly mentally slapped herself on the head. She had forgotten it was no longer just group of women living together, she just had tried to tell herself that he would have no clue and be okey.
"Food almost ready, so why don't you sit down at the table?' She kept facing the food, trying hide her semi-blush from him.
"Sure, Ahri is strange one." He started to sit down.
"Yes, she can be, and I hope she didn't scare you too much during your bath." Akali gave a small giggle before finishing.
When she placed the food down before she quickly left to get some pants on, she did know she had to avoid doing that when he got older. On the way to her room, she noticed the other two slowly waking up, yawning back over to her.
'Seems someone forget pants again." Kai'Sa pointed out which earned herself a very deadly glare from the other woman. She just shrugged before heading to the kitchen to eat, she did love Akali's cooking.
After the group had their food Akali who was wearing pant of tight black pants just pokes Naruto's forehead. "It's time I start drilling you into the ground so you can start keeping yourself safe we can't always be there to protect you." Akali smirked before dragging him out of the house.
"Should we be worrying about him?" Kai'Sa asked.
"Na, I think we should worry about her not him." Evelynn pointed out.
"True, she may be the one that grows too close to him, but that is where the fun comes out to play." Ahri added her two cents.
"But what happens if they grow too close? She does have many enemies after her, that is something we must watch out for." Evelynn pointed out once more.
"Not to also point out that she is an adult, dating is something she would be doing. What happens if he sees something he does not like?" She finished.
The group went to see how the two of them were doing, they could see her sitting on the ground watching him. They looked to see Naruto having chakra all around him and keeping it in place, which confused the three of them big time.
"Yes, I was shocked too, but the old timer came by to fill me in. Everyone here can use chakra in battle and to do many things people would dream of." She slowly filled them in on what a shinobi was around here.
"So, did he out last you or something?" Ahri teased which caused a blade to be tossed her way, barely missing the fox.
"It is not my fault that damn brat got too much stamina, I swear I have never seen anyone with that much in them. I wonder just how crazy he will become when he is older, and I will teach him what my father showed me." She spoke, shocking everyone.
She barely ever spoke of her family let alone wanting to teach someone in the ways of her family like that, Ahri just looked at her. She slowly moved her hand to the other woman's forehead to see if she was sick or something.
"You can stop now, because we have food well ramen due to Ahri burning the food." Kai'Sa joked over to him.
"Ramen!" He yelled before running over to them, he stared at them with eyes filled with happiness which confused them.
"I guess he likes ramen?" Akali joked before laughing hard.
"Ramen is the best food in the whole world, the stand owner is always nice to me even gives me free ramen." Naruto starts to eat while Ahri just rubs his head.
She did know that she wished he would stay this way forever, but she was not foolish to believe that. She could see the real parts of him that he was hiding from them, the scars that he does not let anyone know about. She could see them, yet she could feel them, and she would do her best to heal these open wounds.
The new family had spent the day together before Naruto was given his new room, at first, he had a hard time sleeping. Slowly he woke up before heading to Akali's room, slowly he opened the door before walking in. He did not notice that she was awake, he moved to lay down beside her before closing his eyes, he had felt the safest near her.
"Do you know where Naruto is? He is not in his bed, and they better not have tried to hurt him while we are here." Ahri stated, worried showed on her face.
"Relax he is fine, I watched him go into Akali's room, seems he has hard time sleeping. Guess her being first person he met after being attacked caused him to feel safe around here, so it is only normal that he would sleep with her." Kai'Sa explained to her.
"He has been through so much, yet I can sense it from him. It is weird that someone that has been through so much can still smile like that. Even if, most of the smile is fake and he is putting on a show for everyone to see." Ahri stated before sitting down.
"That's why he has us now, so we can bring him better moments, ones that can heal his pain and to help him move on." Kai'Sa was cut off by Evelynn.
"These moments can also hurt him, if you let him grow too close to our little bird there. If he starts to grow up falling for her, it will only end painfully for him." She just took a slip of her drink.
"Nothing we can do to stop that, because it is their choices in the end only, we can do is hope that if it does happen it will work out for them." Ahri stated before sadly taking a slip of Evelynn drink.
The next morning after school Naruto was being walked home by the Hokage which everyone looked at him. They did know that Naruto did not look happy and the Hokage just gave them all a long look.
'It seems that Naruto and his sensei at the academy got into a heated argument which I may add I am surprised on how Naruto felt on the matter." The old man spoke.
"Do not look at me because it is not my fault, I told him that getting mission done is not worth the cost of losing any of your teammates. He kept saying the mission comes first which is wrong because we may be shinobi at the end of the day, but we are still humans. We are not emotionless tools to just go die for whoever hires us to do their dirty work." Naruto proudly stated.
"Like that man that visited you few weeks ago said, if you fight monsters, you can never let yourself become one. That no matter what, you cannot lose yourself to your anger or become emotionless to the point that you become nothing but cold to the world. That is what that silver hair man told me that day." Naruto looked at him.
"I am surprised that Dante even talked to you, but he is incredibly wise, he has lived an exceptionally long life and knows much that others do not. One day he could teach you how to fight with a sword like he does." The old man gave a small laugh.
"Thank you for bring him home and we will make sure he listens better, but first we need to visit our little trader." Ahri pulled the boy away from the group.
"He really is one caring boy; it is a shame he was born in a shinobi village. He will have to learn the truth eventually, that the things he will do will crush his poor heart." Akali slowly spoke, while thinking of her own past.
"Let's hope he has people there to support him during these hard times ahead of him, for now I will leave him in your hands." Hokage gave one last look to them before heading back to his duties.
"Seems someone is getting close to the little boy, but I wonder what you will do when he's older and less clueless." Evelynn joked.
"Yea, which is not going to happen because you forget our jobs do not really give us much freedom for a dating life. It barely gives us time to have one-night stands or random moments, plus fans would cause trouble." Akali explained before walking off, it was not rare for one of them to have one-night stands with fans.
None of them did it out of feelings for the person if it was another person, it was just to calm their desire for some fun. That was also why Evelynn pointed out that Akali would hurt him in the future if he did try to be with her, it was due to the nature of their jobs.
"I do not know if she is just playing stupid or if she really does not want any future for herself besides singing and fighting. She has a chance in the future to have better life and much safer, but she is too blind to just realize that." Kai'Sa just shook her head.
"I may be a demon, which I may enjoy hurting others and seeing pain with pleasure, but I do know she lacks love. That is one thing I do not wish to have but for someone that is human like yourself and Akali, her happiness was taken from her when her father got killed." She paused for a moment.
"He got killed right in front of her by Zed, and that's something that wounded her deeply, but it has never healed." Evelynn headed back inside because she did not want deal with more of the drama.
"She may be right but then again if she is right about him one day seeing stuff that would hurt him. If she is right, then we must keep him safe from Akali at times as well." Kai'Sa spoke to herself.
When Naruto got back home, he was wearing new clothes. He had black pants with an orange shirt which had black colored foxes all over it. He also was wearing an orange and black hoodie, but it was bit big on him only he would fill it out when he got older.
He noticed Evelynn was sleeping on the couch, he just smirked before jumping on her stomach which caused her eyes to shoot up. She looked down ready to kill only to stop when she realized it was just Naruto on top of her. He looked at her with an innocent smile before giving her a small laugh, he just closed her eyes to calm down.
When she opened them, she just kept looking at him, unsure to why he was doing that nor why she was allowing it. She was a demon of pain and torture not someone to let anyone touch her or lay on her like that.
"Hello sleepy head, Ahri-Chan said you will be watching me for the rest of the day. Something about setting up stage for singing tomorrow, I did not know you could sing." Naruto smiled over at her.
Evelynn wanted to choke Ahri, yet she just stared into his innocent blue eyes, these eyes were something she had never seen before. She met good and bad people over the years, killed many of them yet she never found anyone with the eyes of a saint. It was the only way she could describe these eyes, those eyes that held so much pain yet kept their shine.
"Yes, I can sing why are you so surprised." she simply asked.
"I never heard anyone sing before, can you sing now?" He asked back, his eyes showing hope for a yes.
"Even if I wanted to, how can I sing if you are laying on top of me." Evelynn pointed out which caused him to get off her.
He just sat down on the floor, staring up at her with these eyes that were killing her. She did not utterly understand what was going on, just that she shook her head before moving to sit up on the couch. Her eyes staring back down at him before she just gave in. She did know she had the feeling in her chest that made her feel different. It was not love or anything like that but a desire to keep the person in front of her safe no matter what.
She started to sing for him, one of her normal songs that she did a million times even, so he was enjoying it. She watched him move his head side to side while listening, she found it to be oddly cute.
While she kept singing, she noticed him moving on top her lap before yawning, soon after he had a sleeping Naruto against her chest. She did not realize it till she was done singing that her arms were wrapped around him in a caring embrace.
"Just what are you doing to me?"
"Seems he's having an effect on you as well, that is one thing I never thought I would gotten to see with my own eyes." She heard Ahri's voice.
"I can always get these eyes away from you, if you keep it up." Evelynn warned her friend.
"No need to get hostile, there is nothing bad about you caring for someone you know."
"There is something about him that seems to have the power to change people, it is a rare gift, but it can also be a curse for him." She just kept holding him.
"I wonder and I did find out his birthday is next week so not much time to get ready. I did know best way for him to heal is for us to help him make better memories, having good birthday for once would be a good thing." Ahri sat down beside her and rubbed his head.
"I do wonder, what kind of life he would have in the future. I can sense that other in him and it is demonic, I just hope it does not change his innocent mind." She sadly admitted.
"Then we just have to keep doing our best to make sure that doesn't happen, and he does have Akali after all." She pointed out which another woman just gave her a sharp look.
The week quickly went by, and Naruto was enjoying his birthday with everyone, for the first time he was enjoying it. For the first time he did not have to look over his shoulder for someone trying to hurt him, no more fox hunts for him. His little eyes looked over all the gifts, but he just went to find Akali which she was nowhere to be found. On his back was something new, it was the katana known as Yamato.
Yes, Dante is part of this world and yes Yamato is the same blade you are thinking it is. It is one of only demon arms that would fit in a shinobi story.
Why would Dante give Naruto such a sword, specifically one that belonged to his own brother, well you must read and find out.
Why is Akali not at the party, where she could be and how will their friendship play out?
