Percy and Annabeth sat in the tree line, watching Alecto fall to the ground made of stone. They wore glasses that Leo had invented that would allow them to look upon Medusa without becoming statues.

"These work great." Percy said as he took off the glasses when the head vanished again. "Don't you think so, Wise Girl?"

Annabeth nodded but swung her legs as she looked out over the area.

"You're still upset at the condition of the Poseidon cabin, aren't you?" He asked as she sighed.

"Yes! How can they push that Percy into a small and dirty cabin with no bed. At least we kept it clean and maintained for the children of Poseidon, even though there was none expected. How is he ever going to sneak his Annabeth in to share the bed in that place?"

Percy laughed as he curled her blonde hair through his fingers. "Jumping the gun a bit there, Annabeth. They are only twelve."

She turned her storm gray eyes on him. "They won't be twelve forever, Seaweed Brain. I really hope when he gets back, Chiron has redone the place."

Percy nodded and pulled her into his arms. "I wish we could have gotten closer to hear everything that was going on, but Medusa would have smelled us had we gotten closer. However,"

Percy pointed to the three coming out of the building. Annabeth nodded and leaned into his side.

"Yes, I see it too. They are closer than they were before. There is a trust there that was missing before. I guess running from Alecto and fighting Medusa together will do that to you."

Percy laughed and took her into his arms. "Yeah, I know it did for us. Still, I'm concerned that Percy was considering taking Luke with him. Given everything that is about to happen."

Annabeth frowned. "I know. He would have pushed Percy into Tartarus himself. For his 'master'." She spat the word with so much venom.

Percy kissed her cheek. "It's going to be fine. Come on, let's get some sleep. We will have a long trip to Saint Louis tomorrow. Share my sleeping bag, Miss Chase?"

He watched her press her hand to his chest. "Why, Mister Jackson! So forward! I would be honored."

They snuggled down and rested as Blackjack stood watch. A very unlucky snake got too close to them in the night and nearly got trampled by a very protective steed.

PJO-Percabeth-Reacts*

A/N: Thank you for reading this update. I really enjoyed episode 3 of the show. I could not think of a way for them to react to what was going on inside so I reacted to what they could see. Looking forward to next week.
