I can't believe it has been a week since Danny Phantom came to my hotel. The one person that all the rings of hell hold in high regard! A Half-human mortal that has done so much for not just the Earth, but Hell as well! My parents have finally set up a meeting with him and I'm going with him. It would be smart that a member of the royal family to be with him so no one would make any trouble at home.
So far, we still haven't figured out who sent him to hell. However, Danny has spent time getting to know some of us, and he warming up pretty quickly too. Vaggie dislikes some of the things Danny did, but she seems to enjoy his company. I sometimes see them chatting as they walk down the halls. It's nice to see her not argue with someone like Angel and Alastor.
Niffty seems to like him too. I once saw Danny laugh at one of her "cleaning ideas" and even went along with it. They really get along well. Husk...well, he doesn't react with Danny unless Danny needs something. From what I heard, Husk doesn't care. Through, I can tell that he's happy to hear Danny praise his card tricks.
Angel Dust still hasn't given up on flirting with him. I wish Angel would give him some room. Danny made it clear it wasn't into guys and Angel is supposed to be redeeming himself. Still, it's not easy when you have been a sinner all your life. As for Cherri...
It seems the two are finally started to get a clue about their feelings. Cherri came to me the other day, wanting to know why she felt flushed whenever she was around Danny. Why she felt her heartbeat without blowing things up? All I told her was "You're in love". Her reaction left me laughing for a while when she left. I couldn't help it. It was so funny! I did tell her that Danny was clueless about girls liking him since no one in his family told him about it. She seem to take in what I said and thanked me. I only hope that she doesn't go too far.
Alastor...Danny has kept his guard up around him whenever they meet. Alastor looks like he welcoming Danny, but none of us is even sure if that's what's he's doing. Yeah, he's been a huge help to the hotel, but Vaggie keeps reminding me not to trust him. I only hope that he'll back off a bit. I know how powerful Danny truly is when he's not holding back.
As for myself, we're getting along well. I think we're friends, now. Danny has spent the whole week studying hell and even came to me with some questions since I'm a naturally born demon in hell. My dad knows more than I do, but I was happy to help him.
And I just got a call from the 666 News. They have been trying for days to get an interview with him, and Danny even told them he'll do one when he's ready. He told me that he has an idea to help everyone see my message without singing. He going to head there today and asked us to watch the news. I warned him about Katie Killjoy and saw him walk away. Due to the many trips he took with Angel and Cherri, Danny knew where to go. Well, it's almost time and I need to get ready. Good luck, Danny.
Danny sat in the chair in his ghost form. He looks over to Katie Killjoy and remembered what others told him about her. Luckily for him, he had all the time he need to ensure that she doesn't killjoy his message. He saw the camera turn on and Kaite smiles.
"Well, to the 666 News. I'm your host, Katie Killjoy! And today, at long last, we have a special guest, Danny Phantom with us." She said, turning to him.
"Welcome, Mr. Phantom. We have been trying to reach you for a long time." She said.
"I've been busy looking up Hell. Since I have no idea when I'm getting back home, I might as well see what is true and what is not." Danny told her.
"Oh, right! You're from Earth! I don't know how you can stand those humans." Katie said.
"It seems some of you have forgotten that you use to be human as well. But, I won't waste my breath on that." Danny said, shaking his head.
"Good to know," Katie said.
"And for those that have heard, yes, I've been staying at the Happy Hotel," Danny said, surprising all the demons and sinners.
"THAT PLACE?! Mr. Phantom, this hell! It's a waste to be staying in that place." Katie said.
"Is it? I have been staying there for the whole week and the members have been nothing but nice to me. Sure, there are a few people there I don't fully trust, but I'm used to them. Charlie made the hotel not only to try and help others but also in my memory." Danny told her.
"And what makes you think sinner can be redeemed in hell?! That's not possible." Katie asked, growing upset.
"Ask yourselves this, if being redeemed is impossible, then do you have any regrets about not seeing your families again?" Danny asked, surprising some sinners.
"Even bad people have people they loved and care about. When they die, the sinner thinks they will go to heaven with me because they were told that love will be with them. Only to find themselves in hell without them. And whether they admit it or not, I know they miss their families and loved ones. I bet some wish they could have one last word with them before fate decides what to do with them. And before you try to killjoy this, I have been through this many times back in my hometown." Danny said.
"Well, what makes you think they'll start going to the hotel?" Katie asked.
"Charlie tried to send a message in song form, but I won't do that. I heard the message she was trying to send, and I find that very noble of her. She's the type of princess that cares about her people and the sinners. Her hotel was made not only to help redeem sinners but put an end to the Extermination Days you get every year." He said, shocking them.
"What?" Katie asked.
"The last one was just last week and the first day I came to hell. After hearing what that was all about, I could see what Charlie was trying to do. Yeah, she goes a bit overboard, but her heart is in the right place." Danny said, looking at Katie.
"However, since all of hell laugh at her idea and deems repenting is impossible for hell, I guess that means you want Heaven to come down and kill you next year." Danny pointed out.
"They only come once a year..." Katie started.
"And what if they find a way to extend that?" Danny cut her off.
"What?" Katie asked.
"If Heaven is able to send their warriors to hell once a year then who can say they won't find a way to make it longer? So, instead of Extermination Day, it could become Extermination Week, Extermination Month, or Extermination YEAR. Do you all think you can handle that if most of you hide away on a single day?" Danny told her.
"They...wouldn't...do...that..." Katie said, trying to stay calm.
"Who said they won't? With how fast hell fills up, they might start thinking that they need better ways to keep hell from overflowing. Charlie is tired of seeing everyone killed each time that day comes. She wants to end that day by helping others redeem themselves. And I'm well aware that her father is not on board with her ideas, but he had made no move against her. My guess, he wants her to learn from this failure by herself. It also seems that her mother is fine with her ideas. And so am I." Danny said.
"But..." Katie started.
"If you don't want to believe me, fine. But don't come crying to me if it turns out I'm right. I may be a hero on earth, but even I need to face the truth every now and then. And I was told all seven sins hold me in high regard." Danny said, crossing his arms.
Katie tried to find a flaw in what he was saying but had a hard time finding it. The idea of Extermination Day suddenly being longer really hit her. It was clear she never thought about that.
"Unless you have something else, I'm heading back to the hotel. If anyone truly wants to redeem themselves, then give the hotel a chance. Redeeming is possible, YOU have to make that first step to do so. You can't help Charlie if you don't help yourselves." Danny said, getting up.
"Have a nice day, Miss Killjoy." He said before walking out of the studio.
Later,
Danny decide to walk back to the hotel, hoping what he said carried some weight. He didn't know if it work, but he could tell that he must have shaken up more than half of hell. Even if he didn't, he gave them all something to think about.
Danny kept walking, thinking about what he needed to deal with next. Charlie's parents finally want to meet him and wish to see him in a few days. He was going to meet the rulers of hell itself. From what Charlie told him, he needs to be careful around them.
"Well, look at what we have here."
Danny stops and looks up to see two demons walking up to him.
"Valentino and Vox, right? I was warned about you two." Danny said, standing ready.
"We saw the news. I must admit, that was really gutsy of you." Valentino said, smirking.
"Just giving everyone something to think about," Danny said, keeping his guard up.
'From what I can tell, these two are nowhere as bad as Alastor. But that doesn't mean I should relax. They're overlords for a reason, after all.' Danny thought.
He still didn't trust Alastor. However, Danny did ask him a bit about a Hell Overlord. From what Danny heard, he had to be careful. While Alastor wasn't the strongest in hell, he could still give Danny a really hard time should he pick a fight with him. These two were also powerful and he had a strong feeling he wasn't getting out of this without a fight. He even remembers what the others told him should they fight him.
"Even I must admit that I never thought of that day being increased to last longer. That's something I'm sure Hell is going to be thinking about for a long time." Vox said.
"However, you are also ruining our businesses by sticking up to the princess idea," Valentino said, walking up to him.
"Sorry, but not sorry. Like it or not, you have to settle with less." Danny said, ready to fight.
"Funny," Vox said, walking up.
Danny held his hands up, covering them in his green glow. The two overlords looked at him before they went on the attack.
Back at the hotel,
Charlie could hardly believe what she heard. Not even Alastor could keep his surprise hidden. Danny not only explains the reason why she made this hotel but what could happen if Heaven finds a way to stay in hell longer. She wasn't sure if she could last a whole year hiding inside her hotel. She looks at the rest of the staff and saw that both Niffty and Husk looked very worried and Angel was holding his head. He didn't look to be in pain and Vaggie just sat there, her single eye widening in shock. She then turns to Cherri, who came over after Danny left, wanting to tell him about her feelings. She was also shocked to hear what Danny said and was clearly thinking about something.
Everyone soon left, needing some time to get their thoughts together. Charlie sighs, wondering how her parents were taking it. She soon heard the bell and gasps. Did it work?! Have some sinners decided to redeem themselves?! Taking a breath and putting on her best smile, she walked to the lobby.
"Welcome to the Happy..."
She stops as her smile disappeared. It wasn't a customer. Danny stood at the desk, back in his human form. He was bleeding from a few places with one eye shut as blood ran over it. His left arm hangs limb and bends in a very odd way. His right arm had a few broken fingers as it twitch. His clothes were torn and he felt his chest hurt each time he breathe.
"DANNY?!" Charlie shouted, running up to him.
"Hey, Charlie." He said, tiredly.
"What happened?!" She said, worried.
"I had a run-in with Valentino and Vox. They wanted to drive me out of town. Or kill me, is what they said." Danny said, having a hard time staying awake.
"They were able to knock me out of my ghost form and hurt me in my human form. They thought they killed me when I passed out." Danny said, almost falling over.
Charlie couldn't believe it. Valentino and Vox attacked him?! Deep inside her, she could feel her demon side wanting to burst out and kill those two, consequences be damn! However, she couldn't let Danny be alone like this. She quickly wrapped her arms around Danny's ribs, making sure not to hurt him further.
"Come on, let's get you to your room." She said, hoping they still have medical supplies.
And done with this chapter. I decided to go with a time skip for this chapter because I do know how long Danny will be stuck in hell. Charlie wrote down what happen so far and how Danny got along with a few more members of the Hotel. Danny even appeared on the news and help send a better message about the hotel. He even gave all of hell something to think about if the angels find a way to increase Extermination Day. While he's unsure if it would work, due to being in hell and all, Danny does think he gave them something to think about.
However, he had a run-in with Valentino and Vox. While the two do understand what Danny was getting at, they thought he was getting in their way and attacked him. Danny was able to fight them off, but he didn't get away scot-free. The next chapter will cover everyone's reaction to his injuries, and I'll try to cover the meeting with the Morningstar Family.
