"Doctor," River whined, " Why did you have to park so far?" She said

"We're almost there River," he huffed

Which was true, they could see it down the hill. That didn't stop River from grabbing his hand and stopping though.

She walked up to him until they were chest to chest and looked into his eyes.

"What are y-" he gulped but he was cut off by River wrapping her arms around his neck and snuggling her face into his chest.

"River?" He stammered

She said something which was muffled in his shirt. He asked her to repeat herself.

"Pick me up," she demanded

"Seriously?" He questioned

"Yes, seriously. You've had me running around all night in heels and you parked at the end of the fucking world," she grumbled

He rolled his eyes and shook his head in disbelief, but he obliged. She sighed in relief and sank further into his embrace. It made him hold her more securely, and if he smiled well no one would know.

"I'm going to show you how it's done Nardole. Watch and learn." She whispered as the Doctor started to unlock the door.

As soon as he walked in, he heard River sobbing. An extremely rare thing. The first thing he saw was River on one couch and Nardole just staring at her from the other. He immediately pulled her into his arms and tried to soothe her.

"What did you do?" He barked at the other man

"What? I didn't do anything," he stammered

"River. River! What's wrong," he asked

"Percy, he's gone," she cried

"The fish?" He asked incredulously

"Yes, the fish. I loved him," she whined

"Okay, okay. What can I do for you?" He asked frantically as he hated to see her cry

"Can we get a dog," she asked as she looked up at him innocently.

"Yes, yes. Anything, just stop crying," The Doctor agreed

"Okay," she replied and got up as she wiped her tears.

She walked over to Nardole and they high-fived.

"That's how it's done," she said

"What's going on here," Twelve asked

"Well you just agreed to get us a dog," She smiled

He caught on quickly and suddenly started to chase her around the kitchen island.

"River Song, I cannot believe you," he grumbled

"Yes you can," she gigged

When he finally caught up to her he threw her over his shoulder and tickled her relentlessly. The little blue house on Darillium was filled with giggles.

"That was nice," she sighed as she sipped her wine

"I'm so full," he huffed as he laid back on the picnic blanket

They were at the top of a hill overlooking a beautiful sunflower field. Having a picnic to wind down after the adventures of the week was one of the Doctors better ideas for them. The others included Dance Dance Revolution and joining a food contest. Both are big hell no's to her.

She was getting ready to take another sip of wine when he grabbed it out of her hand. He grabbed her hands and pulled her up faster than she could question him. He picked her up and wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Ooo how naughty," she purred "What are you doing?"

"Get your mind out of the gutter River. We're gonna take a trip," he giggled

She realized where they were heading and started to squirm in his hold.

"Doctor, don't you dare," she warned

All he did was laugh and then they were rolling. He started to giggle so she did too as they rolled around in the grass until they finally broke through to the flower field. There they were tangled together and a laughing heap.

As the Doctor looked over at her he was reminded of just how beautiful she looked when she laughed. So he reached over and kissed her and when they broke apart they smiled at each other. Bespoke.
