"Okay! We have the balloons, the cake, and the gifts. Now let's go bring it all to River," Amy announced

"Amy, isn't this all a bit much?" Eleven asked as he looked at almost a mountain of gifts

"This is our first birthday with her where we know she's our daughter, we're making up for lost time," Rory explained

"Plus she's your wife, shouldn't you be spoiling her?" Amy questioned

"She is not my wife. You just think that for reasons I can't begin to explain," he grumbled

"I sure can," she mumbled

He could too. They just had...relations the other day. Amy didn't need to know that though.

The Tardis set off for Rivers cottage and landed. The three exited the ship and made their way to the door. The Doctor pulled out a key, much to Amy's delight. That was teasing material for at least a month.

They tiptoed in, hoping to surprise her when they heard laughter coming from the kitchen. Not just laughter, but giggles. River Song giggled and squealed as a man chased her around the kitchen island. A strange man was in her kitchen joking with her. When the man eventually caught up to her he pulled her in for a passionate kiss.

"Hello?!" Amy announced

River and the man abruptly stopped in their tracks at the sound of her voice. They turned and both let out audible noises of shock.

"Mom?" River breathed

"Amelia?" The mystery man sighed

"River?!" Eleven squeaked

"Who are you?" Rory asked

"Maybe we should sit down," River said

"Not until you tell us who the hell Grandpa is and why his tongue was just down your throat," Amy demanded

Eleven was glad she said that and not him. No one in the room needed to know he was seething with jealousy.

"Grandpa?" The guy choked

"This is the Doctor," River explained as she elbowed the man

"The Doctor!?" They parroted in surprise

"You're me?" Eleven asked

"I am," Twelve confirmed

Amy let out a squeal of joy

"Do you know what this means?" she exclaimed

He did not know what it meant. He still couldn't get over the fact that he would have more regenerations and be gray again.

"You're totally married! Look at them," she said as she gave the couple a once over, "He even has on a ring,"

Amy practically bounced in elation and hugged both incarnations. Rory walked over to River and ignored the two men trying to stop his wife from choking them.

"Happy birthday River," he whispered

"Thank you, Dad," she said as she smiled up at him
