Chapter Six -An Early Decision-

The Olympians rushed around Mount Olympus as the 5th day passed. None of them knew where Olympos was but they couldn't afford not to search for him as Zeus was furious.

"None of you are capable of finding him?" Zeus rubbed his forehead which had a golden blood vessel the size of his thumb.

"Brother," Poseidon sighed. "Perhaps not finding him is a good thing?"

Everyone froze in place, nobody had wanted to speak up after Hades coming out and claiming another son. The sky turned dark, it was eerily quiet for a few seconds.

"Finding that God is the only thing that's going to keep us God's," Zeus rose out of his seat. "If he were to come back and take our Immortality then the world as we know it would be finished!"

Poseidon matched his tone, "Perhaps if we convince him to give this world a chance at the Hearth Decision it would change his mind."

Hestia dared not speak up this time as this was the calmest the two had clashed in decades.

"My lord," Hera stepped forward. "Perhaps we should have the Demigods consult the Oracle?"

The sky cleared up and Zeus smiled, "The best idea I've heard all day."

Hector and Jax hadn't made it back to their Cabins last night, instead they'd watched the stars and fell asleep in the vineyard. There was rushing and the two woke up startled by Coral, Jax's half sister. She stared at them with her abnormally violet eyes, her light brown skin and hair matched her appearance.

"Enjoy your sleep Jaxson?" She sniffled.

"I did-" Jax began.

"Hope you two didn't do anything lewd," She walked off. "Percy just consulted the Oracle and the Camp is buzzing about it."

Hector felt uneasy, if the God's had consulted the Oracle through the Camp then that means they're ready to release information about his Awakening. He jumped to his feet and rushed through the vineyard, his compression shirt was ripped from the rocks the night before. Jax watched him run off confused.

"You forgot your hoodie!" Jax called.

"Keep it!" Hector responded.

He hurried to find Percy and ask about the Oracle, unfortunately Chiron had called a Camp Meeting. He stood in the middle of a field with Percy and a redheaded girl surrounded by Campers, each more confused than the last.

"What did the Oracle say?" "Why did you consult the Oracle?" "Are we in danger again?"

Nico and Will waved at Hector to join them in which he did, Jax joined his Cabin side shortly after.

"I know you have many questions," Chiron started and the chatter ended. "Today we questioned the Oracle in aid of the Council."

"The Council?" "The Olympians, that Council?" "The God's need our help again?"

"Quiet!" Chiron shouted. "Percy will announce the information that Ms. Dare provided."

Percy stepped forward, his face was pale and he was sweating. Apparently the Council hadn't given him the full board of information about his target…only that he was a God.

"A Deity born before the time of Civilization and the Titans," He spoke. "Will come forth to raze or to stay."

"His choice will either keep the peace or destroy the Council."

Hector could feel the uneasiness of the crowd, Nico grimaced as he leaned on Will.

"Today is the day he decides…and on the tenth day of his wait…he will share it with the Council and their children."

Percy stepped back still pale, unfortunately this raised everyone's curiosity.

"Why is he here now?" People demanded.

"What did the world do to him that made him want to destroy it?" Alanza asked.

Chiron raised a hand and sighed.

"Olympos the God of Immortality," Chiron spoke with a cold tone. "Father to none and source of the Titans and God's eternal life."

Laura and Ian began to talk while eyeing Chiron, "How come they didn't share his history before?"

"The God's wrongfully imprisoned the Primordial God," Chiron continued and the crowd murmured more. "He has been dormant for centuries…now he is back in hopes of destroying the Council…which he is completely capable of."

"So what's the game plan?" Jason spoke up.

"The plan is…" Chiron looked down. "To let him choose."

The crowd broke out into chaos, now Hector noticed a Mist transmission on stage as well. From it came cries of anger and confusion…it was Camp Jupiter.

"The lockdown is over," Chiron announced. "You may go as you please as it may be your last few days."

Everyone rushed off to their Cabins, Hector stayed and watched Jax go with his siblings. The area was completely empty other than Rachel and Chiron.

"Do not worry Hector," Chiron smiled. "They will all hear the decision through a Mist transmission."

"I'm not worried about that," Hector frowned. "May I go to Camp Jupiter?"

Chiron nodded, "As I said…this may be your last days with them."

"I'll leave in a few moments," He said. "May the decision go in your favor."

Hector then left for his Cabin and began packing. The Meeting had lasted all day due to questions and angry statements. It was dusk now and Hector could feel his guilt creep onto him, it was eerily quiet as his siblings left to join their families off Camp grounds.

"I'll see you after the decision is made," Adaliah passed by Hector's bunk. "Hopefully."

Alanza followed out the door shortly after, then the Cabin was completely empty other than Hector himself.

He sat there thinking about what his answer would be at the Hearth Decision. Then it hit him, his answer. It'd been sitting in his mind since he met Jax, it just didn't hit him until now.

"To save it or raze it." Hector sighed.

The door to his Cabin opened and Jax entered it with a soft smile, "Hey."

Hector immediately beamed, "Hey, what's up?"

"So," Jax sat down on the bunk next to him. "I'm going back to Manhattan…to spend time with my Mother."

Hector nodded, "I'll see you later then."

"Actually," Jax fidgeted with his hands. "I wanted to know if you want to come and meet her."

Hector's heart began to beat faster, it would delay his trip to Camp Jupiter by a day or so but he didn't care.

"I would love to." He smiled and Jax grinned.

"We leave tonight," Jax nodded and hugged him. "So I'll see you later at the camp entrance?"

Hector nodded furiously and his smile got brighter. Jax let go of him and kissed his cheek. Then he stood and continued to the door where he stood for a second.

"Maybe true love is real." Jax said and left.

Hector was the happiest he's been since before his imprisonment, but the Oracle's prophecy stuck in his mind.

The two lovebirds met up and walked the path down to the main road where a bus stop sat.

"Never took one of these," Hector put his hands in his pocket. "This is a bus right?"

He'd changed into a pair of black sweatpants and a black hoodie that said Hades Cabin, his shoes were all white air forces. His chain bounced as they approached the giant steel bus, nobody had noticed it.

"You've never taken a bus?" Jax frowned.

"Nah," Hector boarded behind him. "Mostly private vehicles like Vans and friends' cars."

It wasn't the whole truth but it was accurate, once they found a seat it began moving.

"Interesting," Jax chuckled. "Well this is sort of like that."

"Dunno seems very public," Hector scanned the back of the bus and found a couple making out. "Very public."

The bus lurched forward and towards the giant city of Manhattan. They held hands as it traversed at moderate speeds, Jax leaned on his shoulder and dozed off. The ride was more than three hours with traffic. The night sky was a sight to behold, then he saw something…it was a figure in a chariot flying across the sky. It was silver and prettier than the moon, he smiled.

Eventually the coziness of Jax and the night time got to him so he slept.

On Olympus things were the calmest they'd been in the last week and a half. Zeus was chatting with his wife when Percy stormed into the room.

"Why did you keep this information from us?" He demanded.

"It was none of your concern until this point Perseus," Zeus waved him off. "It was also to maintain a lie for the sake of humanity."

"Bullshit," Percy yelled and his voice echoed down the Hall of the Gods. "Everyone should've known this earlier especially since it concerns our lives!"

Zeus eyed the daring Demigod, the half blood had grown bold after saving the God's.

"Calm down Perseus," Zeus smiled. "Had we told any of you then you would've opted to save the Primordial God earlier…and possibly risked the lives of every person on Earth."

Poseidon glanced at his sister and Hestia ushered the boy out of the Hall.

"I could've saved everyone," Percy felt his eyes tear up. "If I'd known earlier."

"We're here," Hector woke Jax. "This is our stop."

Jax woke and grumbled to himself about not getting good enough sleep. The two disembarked the bus and stretched, afterwards Jax led Hector to a large building. They took the elevator to one of the top floors and found themselves at the door of a penthouse.

"Here goes nothing." Jax sucked his breath in and knocked.

There was rustling inside and the door swung open, he was engulfed by his mothers arms. She hadn't noticed Hector yet.

"They told me about it," Jaxson's mother cried. "I'm glad you came."

"Who's that Courtney?" His step father called.

"Don't worry Aaron, it's Jaxson." Courtney responded and finally noticed Hector.

She moved backwards startled, "Who's he?"

"Don't worry this is Hector," Jaxson smiled and let go of his mother to hold his hand. "My friend."

Courtney stared at the two holding hands, slowly a smile crept across her face. She lit up and pushed the two inside, her strength was to be meddled with as a mother.

"Aaron!John!" She called and a teenage boy came out from the hall followed by an older caucasian man with a beard.

"Who's he?" John sniffled as he eyed the giant.

"This is Hector," Courtney grinned ear to ear. "Jaxson's friend."

John and Aaron looked at each other, then their faces quickly changed to a grin. This was the first time Jax had introduced someone as his friend like that.

"Well welcome to our home Hector," Aaron guided him to a room. "Let's talk…John comes and Jax stays."

Hector sat on a couch in front of a large flat screen tv, John plopped down next to him with a threatening stare. Aaron closed the door behind them and stood in front of the two, the teenager held his stare.

"So you're his friend," Aaron crossed his arms. "You better take care of him."

"You better." John murmured into his ear.

The two were bold to threaten the large boy, his stature was enough to send monsters running but yet these humans stood up to him. Hector felt fear for the first time, it was unpleasant.

He glanced at his watch that read 1:00 AM.

"I will," Hector said nervously. "Jax is very special to me…I'd sacrifice the world for him."

John glanced at his father confused, "Err okay."

"Now that that's out of the way," Aaron sighed. "What are your plans for the future?Job?Marriage?"
"Well both," Hector glanced at John. "I plan to get a job in protective services and marry Jax."

Aaron was dumbfounded at the bold boy sitting in front of him, he was very blunt.

"I see-" He looked at his son confused. "That's all for now so go get ready for bed…we've got an extra room."

Hector nodded and left the two in the room, he smiled and rejoined Jax who was now flustered for some reason. Courtney was still grinning as she spoke with her son.

"Hey," Jax broke the embarrassing conversation and grabbed Hector's hand. "The guest room is over here!"

He led him down the hall to a room with a very decorative style in it, he pushed him onto the bed and sat next to him. Hector sat there and watched the shining lights on the streets of New York.

"Your life seems fun," He said. "It's very plentiful."

"Yeah…do you not have anything like this?" Jax asked as he stared out the window.

Hector sighed and laid back on the bed, "I don't have parents or a home anymore."

"It was taken from me," Hector removed his shoes with his feet. "Now I'm alone."

Jax nodded sadly, "Well…not anymore."

The two laid in the bed together, they wrapped each other's arms around their bodies.

"Thank you Jax," Hector smiled. "For everything."
