Picnic with Apples and Love in the West

Applejack is cleaning some fresh apples from the little garden in the backyard with a clean cloth though it doesn't look like she is focusing on the apples.

"Oh Applejack, I brought you a tasty apple cupcake with extra cinnamon and green frosting just the way you like it." Pinkie hopped to the cowgirl Centaur.

Pinkie held the cupcake in front of Applejack's face and so close to her face that tiny frosting got onto her nose, but the cowgirl isn't reacting to the tiny sweet and her hands are still cleaning the same apple in her hands.

"Huh, you think a normal horse would go for the apples whenever one is presented to their face." Pinkie said.

Pinkie looks more at Applejack again to notice something odd on her face like there is something bothering her for some reason.

"Yeah, it looks like she is thinking about to become a mime." Pinkie said to the author through the Fourth Wall.

"Hmm, I wonder if Applejack is about to lay an egg that is actually an apple, and it would explode like a grenade." Pinkie talked nonsense.

Pinkie, I don't think that would ever happen even in a fiction story, and this is not that kind of story though that would be cool.

"Oh, I can help with that." Pinkie pulled out the apple with lit up string.

Pinkie shush at the Fourth Wall then quietly place the soon exploding apple close to large rump for a little prank, she tiptoe away a few feet and the apple suddenly exploded making a big noise causing Applejack to scream stomping her hooves on the floor hard.

"Gunfire! We're under attack! Centaur hunters are coming to take me away! Hide your apples and run for the hills!" Applejack panicked.

"Hi Applejack, you trying to do the disco dancing on all four legs?" Pinkie asked.

"Pinkie! Something dangerous happened and we need to get out of here!" Applejack said.

"No silly, that was just my exploding apple surprise." Pinkie revealed.

"What? Pinkie, what have I told you about doing that sort of thing to me? Centaurs are sensitive when it comes to loud sounds like that." Applejack scolded.

"I was just trying to wake you up from the sleep with your eyes open." Pinkie explained.

"Oh, okay…" Applejack said calming herself down.

"So, you excited for your first day with Flash today?" Pinkie asked.

"I'm not sure, I just wasn't expecting to be one of the next girls since he went out with Sunset and Rainbow Dash." Applejack said nervously.

"So what if you didn't get to go on Flash's first day, he would still love you all the same like with the rest of us." Pinkie assured.

"You really think so?" Applejack asked.

"Of course, if he didn't then he wouldn't have gotten out of his way to tell us that he would like us all and take each of us out on dates to show and realize more than he knew." Pinkie pointed out.

"True, I remember how he put out his words in love." Applejack giggled.

Pinkie laughed cutely and hops high standing on Applejack's shoulder for an upside-down face-to-face talk with her fellow Demihuman of the house.

"So, stop being so worry for what may happen in the future and just focus on the right now with Flash." Pinkie stated.

"You're right, I shouldn't let something funny that hasn't happened yet." Applejack chuckled.

"Good, now you better get ready for date to make this the night of your life." Pinkie hopped off Applejack and strike a Deadpool dance.

"Okay, just need to figure out what to wear for the date." Applejack said doing some thinking, then she got an idea.

"Oh, I can try out the new dress my granny and siblings made for me if I were to meet the right guy and now the time is happening!" Applejack giggled of excitement.

"Then go put on that pretty dress already!" Pinkie declared.

Applejack nodded and made her way to her bedroom and also closes the door to make sure no one would come in to interrupt her moment, she went to her closet opening it to see a large brown trunk then open it to look for a specific item she is looking for.

"Come on, I know I put it in here." Applejack struggled a little to find the right thing for this occasion.

It would have taken Applejack a long time, but she was able to find it and she smiles at the item as the memories of her family back home on the farm are coming into her mind.

"Yes, it's here and I'm going to put you to good use." Applejack said to herself and started getting herself ready.

(Ten Minutes Later)

"Hey Applejack, you ready yet?" Flash called out while holding a picnic basket in his right hand.

"Oh, got a big plan for the date?" Pinkie hopped to the blue-haired boy.

"Yeah, thought about taking her somewhere more open space outside of the city." Flash explained chuckle.

"Well, I think you're going to love what the Everfree forest has in store for you." Pinkie giggled.

"How did you know that I'm taking her to the Everfree forest?" Flash asked surprise.

"The author told me and gave me a tip on how to perform a Tatsumaki Senpukyaku." Pinkie answered weirdly.

Flash looks at Pinkie for a moment then just shrug off thinking she is just "Pinkie being Pinkie" going back to how he wants his date with Applejack to go.

"Man, I'm about to go on my third date with my third Demihuman yet I'm feeling more nervous than a random kid in a play." Flash expressed how he is feeling right now.

"Don't worry, you look more nervous like a dog being scared of the vet." Pinkie said.

"Well, it's a good thing we're not going to the vet." Applejack chuckled.

Flash looks up with his eyes widen of shock upon seeing something so beautiful walking down the stairs on all four horse legs, seeing Applejack coming down wearing a pretty countryside blue dress with a red belt and little apple pictures at the bottom of her skirt. She even has a pretty rose on her signature hat with a green sash to give it a special touch, Flash becomes stun from how Applejack looks right now and felt like he is having a dream right now.

"Wow." Flash said.

"Hey there, partner. What do you think of my dress?" Applejack asked for Flash opinion.

"Wow." Flash repeated the word of expression.

"I think that one word alone tells me that he is finding you hot as a hot applesauce." Pinkie believed.

"Oh, such a flirter." Applejack giggled.

"Ready for your date?" Flash asked holding out his hand to Applejack.

"You bet your bacon sizzling I am, let's hit the road!" Applejack excited with strong confident in herself.

"Great, we'll go into my car, and I'll drive us to the picnic spot I know my parents and me used to go to." Flash mentioned.

"It's a good thing Lyra and Sweetie Drops have the company makes some big adjustments to your car like creating a mode to make room for the likes of me." Applejack said.

"Yeah, I would have been offended that those two for doing my car without my permission, but I'm actually happy for that." Flash smiled.

Flash and Applejack make their way to the car as the former enter the driver seat then pressed a button, this causes the passenger seat backing up creating a new big space for Applejack's Centaur body as she enters her side.

"To think, Granny Smith has been worried about technology being the end of the world with tiny metal rabbit butlers and/or maids." Applejack chuckled.

Flash laughs of how silly her granny is being worried for something so silly like that and drove off from the house.

(Everfree Forest)

Flash and Applejack arrives at the forest entrance as they exit the car.

"Man, I haven't been here for a long time." Flash smiled of seeing the front of the forest.

"I take it you all had a lot of good memories here." Applejack guessed.

"Yep, did a lot when I was a kid and I even went to a camp that is named after this very forest, there is even a scary story about it too." Flash mentioned.

"Hope you can tell me about it once we get to this picnic spot." Applejack smiled.

"Well, it's a long walk from here, but we both have the strong legs to go for it." Flash flirted and slapped his leg.

"Be careful there, a slap on the leg in front of a Centaur is a sign that you're making a big move on the female one." Applejack mentioned with a smile.

"Maybe that's what I'm going for." Flash smiled back.

Flash and Applejack starts traveling through the path that is common to most who goes for a nature walk in this forest, they look around seeing the great scenery with the tall trees and birds flying over their heads.

"Wow, this place is beautiful. I always grew up with nothing but apples trees as far as the eye can see with some other veggies." Applejack amazed of the forest around her.

"That's the kind of charm this forest has on those who would come in here." Flash felt the memories coming in.

"What kind of things you would do with your family?" Applejack asked.

"Let me think we did some scavenger hunt in the forest to find the freshest berries and non-poisonous leaves and take pictures of the little wooden creatures. We do a little tree climbing contest, mom would always win because she got the stronger grip." Flash explained.

"Wow, that's a lot of fun things to do." Applejack said smiling.

"We also did some catching fishes from the river with our bare hands, I remember the time I would catch one and it ended up in dad's pants." Flash laughed of the memory.

"Well, nice to know you come from a family that forges your own food." Applejack said.

Flash and Applejack walk through the path for ten more minutes until Flash stop in front of a sign that says to take the right turn.

"Come on, this way." Flash said walking to the left.

"But the sign says to go right." Applejack pointed out.

"Yeah, but our family's picnic spot is on the left where our heart is." Flash stated.

"Oh, clever way to use the saying, "Follow your heart"." Applejack complimented.

Flash led Applejack through the off path to a very large log that crossing over a twenty-five opening of a river, Applejack was scared of crossing this kind of river at first though Flash was able to help her get through it by holding her hand so that he could never let her go.

Flash pushes some brushes away from each other with his eyes widen of happiness along with his smile.

"We're here!" Flash announced as he and Applejack walked out of the brushes and through the trees.

"Wow!" Applejack amazed of seeing this wide-open area with the surroundings of trees and the sun shining onto them like they were expecting them to come.

"This has got to be the most beautiful place I have ever been to." Applejack said.

"It sure is, this place hasn't changed a bit since I was last here." Flash agreed.

"My parents told me this would always be the perfect for anyone, whether they be a family, traveling group, or couples, to come here for some outdoor relaxing time." Flash explained as he places the picnic basket down.

"Although, dad believed not a lot of people come here anymore, but I'm sure it's just for rare things like our date." Flash believed.

"Well, I say it's a wonderful place." Applejack complimented.

Flash setup the blanket and brought out the food for the picnic, including one apple pie that caught Applejack's nose.

"Wow, that smells great! Did you make that by yourself?" Applejack asked.

"Yeah, I had a great apple farmer to teach me." Flash answered.

"Aw, you used ma Apple family apple pie making ways." Applejack amazed.

"I know it's a bit early to have dessert, but I was hoping you may taste it to see how it is." Flash said cutting one slice and hands it to Applejack on a plate.

Applejack took the plate, looking at the pie for a moment seeing that the appearance looks presentable and tasty looking, then she took a bite of the sliced pie and ten seconds later, her eyes widen of amazement with an exciting humming from her.

"Flash, this is really good! Almost as good as the pies back home, I say about 95% close!" Applejack shared of how this pie tastes.

"Thanks, I put in a lot of work into that." Flash said.

"You know, between the past two days since you started the dating your Demihuman residents plan, I never thought you would find the time to make this." Applejack impressed.

"Well, a guy got to do to please one of the women he loves." Flash shrugged.

"Pinkie sure was right about enjoying the moment right now, like enjoying this pie." Applejack smiled.

"Hold it, there are other food to enjoy too!" Flash chuckled.

Flash and Applejack started enjoying the rest of the food which Flash was able to prepare them as he explained that he had help with Sunset and Pinkie, and the cupcakes were from Pinkie that she wanted them to have a good, sweet time.

"You know, this reminds me of how my parents would take me and my siblings out for picnics like this one." Appelejack said.

"Let me guess, the dad makes a mean apple pie while the mom tried her best to not blow up the stove." Flash asked, joking a little.

"Hey you." Applejack gently punched Flash on the shoulder with a little chuckling.

"My parents tried their best to always make us happy whenever we had the good or bad times, they would always be there for us even when they're not around anymore." Applejack explained looking up at the sky.

"When they're not around anymore… Oh, I'm sorry for your lost." Flash said after realizing that Applejack meant her parents have passed away.

"Thank you, it's still hard feeling the sadness that my parents are gone forever." Applejack said with a hand on her breast a little.

"If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your parents?" Flash asked.

"It was years ago, around the time my little sister, Applebloom was only almost two years old at the time, there was a big storm that hit the farm hard. We all took shelter, but my parents couldn't make it because they were far out on the field, and they were crushed by our wagon." Applejack remembered that day.

"I'm sorry that happened, one of the worst things in life that you can't control of what's going to happen next." Flash said.

"My granny said that too, I never forgot how much I cried and knowing that Applebloom would grow up without knowing our parents except through stories." Applejack sighed.

"Don't worry, I'm positive that they are watching over you right now from Heaven being proud of their little apple living great in the city." Flash believed.

"Thanks Flash, that means a lot to me." Applejack smiled with tears coming out.

"And you know what? I believe I am ready for this, for us to be lovers along with the others." Applejack placed her hand onto Flash's cheek.

"Then let's declare this." Flash said.

Flash and Applejack lean close and kiss their lips right onto each other's, feeling the big spark exploding between them from the souls, after a full minute of kissing, they separate and look at each other in the eyes.

"Wow!" Flash and Applejack said at the same time smiling.

"Say Flash, don't you think it's about time we should be getting back?" Applejack asked.

"I don't think so, why?" Flash asked back.

"Just thought I give you a lift." Applejack said patting her horse back.

"Really, you sure? If I do that then it'll be consider marriage." Flash asked shock.

"You earned this, Flash Sentry. You are the one." Applejack nodded.

Flash smiles feeling proud to have earn the full trust and love from Applejack, he hops onto her back which is exciting.

"High-ho, Applejack, away!" Flash cheered making Applejack giggle and starts running through the forest back to the car.
