New Neighbors with Midnight Sphinx
The scene shows Sugarcoat watching some TV like one about a teenage girl being suddenly transported into a world full of frogs, and Pinkie is playing chess with her tail.
"Pinkie, we know chess isn't really your thing, so why even bother playing this with me?" Sugarcoat asked without looking away from the TV.
"Because I wanna have fun with you, and the first thing to have fun with you is to do something you like to do first before we move onto what I wanna do." Pinkie answered and moved one of her white pieces.
"That's very considerate of you despite horribly losing to me and about to lose again for the fourth time." Sugarcoat pointed out bluntly.
"I know, just wanted to play with you as much as you want." Pinkie smiled before looking back at the chessboard.
Sugarcoat rolls her eyes thinking this girl is being naïve in trying to be friends with someone who is the complete opposite of this party obese girl, but she can tell that Pinkie knew this and doesn't mind the difference because she believes that is what help friends become closer.
Even though it's naïve to her, she couldn't help but feel comfort from this pinkie bunny girl as she smiles.
"Checkmate." Sugarcoat finished the game with a final move with her tail.
"Dang, you beat me again!" Pinkie amazed.
"Wanna play again?" Pinkie asked, willing to play chess again.
"No thanks, I believe I am ready to try something else since I'm bored of chess now and the show is over now." Sugarcoat turned off the TV.
"Oh goody, I was hoping you say that because I had no idea on how to play chess!" Pinkie excitedly clapping her hands.
"I know, you were doing random moves and pretending it's like one of those fun puzzling games on the smartphones." Sugarcoat said as she got off the couch.
"So, what do you wanna do now?" Sugarcoat asked.
"Well, we're going outside to do some dancing!" Pinkie answered.
"Dancing? What for?" Sugarcoat asked curiously.
"I was thinking that as can do some silly dances to make us feel laughter bubbling up from within and let them all out by moving our bodies to the beat, I figured you would be good at dancing since you're a snake woman and all." Pinkie explained her reason.
Sugarcoat just stares at Pinkie for a few seconds on everything she just told her and spoke.
"Alright, not like I had anything better to do." Sugarcoat said.
"Great!" Pinkie smiled joyfully and drags the snake woman out of the house.
"Now, let's get this party started!" Pinkie announced as she pulls out a radio box from her hair.
"I believe I may have found one flaw in your activity plan." Sugarcoat informed.
"What's that?" Pinkie asked.
"Flash is mowing the yard." Sugarcoat pointed at Flash pushing the lawnmower through the grass cutting them down and then he notices the two.
"Oh, hey you two, out doing something fun?" Flash asked.
"Yeah, we were just about to do some dancing to make us feel extra happy and to make the neighborhood happy too!" Pinkie answered as she twirls to Flash.
"She played chess with me first; I won four times. Obviously." Sugarcoat added.
"Okay, just because with the grass being cut by the lawnmower because they can spread out onto the yard." Flash informed.
"Don't those things come with bags to keep the cut grass from flying out?" Sugarcoat asked as she looks at the lawnmower.
"There are some, but this one didn't come with the bag when I bought it… And I might've not noticed it until days later." Flash admitted, blushing of embarrassment.
"It's like the universe is making a fool out of you." Sugarcoat commented.
"No need to put it like that." Flash exclaimed.
"Don't worry, Flash. I'm also the fool who loves you more!" Pinkie giggled and kissed him right on the lips deep and hard for a few seconds.
"Aw, thanks." Flash smiled, blushing.
"So, ready to start our little dancing session?" Sugarcoat asked.
"Sure, now let's get this dance party started!" Pinkie excited as she was about to press the button on the radio.
But then suddenly her body started to twitch like crazy with her hair and fluffy tail going small and big rapidly with her ears wrapping around onto each other too, then her body began bloating for a bit before she suddenly pops like a balloon and somehow fell right from the sky and on top of Flash.
"Pinkie, what just happened?" Flash asked, mumbling under Pinkie's bunny butt.
"Sorry about that, didn't expect my Pinkie Sense to go off like that." Pinkie apologized.
"Ah yes, that unexplainable super sixth sense of yours that warns you about some random things and all that before any of that could happen like something falling from the sky or danger that could hurt you or some random desert about to fly and smack on your face." Sugarcoat listed the things she learned about Pinkie's weird sensing ability.
"That's the one!" Pinkie nodded and hop off from Flash.
"Anyway, that kind of Pinkie Sense is a combination of something new is about to happen and I'm gonna make new friends! But this one felt bigger than the last one I had." Pinkie explained.
"Something new is about to happen and making new friends. I wonder what that could be?" Flash asked curiously.
"It could be anything." Pinkie said.
"Like a moving trunk is coming over?" Sugarcoat guessed as she looked at something else.
"Oh, that could mean we're about to get new neighbors! That was a good guess, Sugarcoat." Pinkie smiled at her snake friend.
"That's because there is a moving trunk coming and just pulled over at the house next to ours." Sugarcoat informed while pointing her finger at the truck.
Flash and Pinkie turn their heads to see the moving trunk parking in front of the house next to the Sentry home, another truck came in along with a fancy-looking van pulling over next to the truck in the right space.
"Oh, we are getting new neighbors! That means we're going to get new FRIENDS!" Pinkie squealed loud and excitedly.
"Oh yeah, I remember this house was sold by the old couple who used to live here until they couldn't move around together by themselves and decided to live in a retirement home." Flash remembered the previous owner of the use.
"And how long has it been since those old couples left this house?" Sugarcoat asked.
"I think it was about two months ago, heard word that the ones who bought the house were taking long to get here because they lived in another state between another state to this one." Flash recalled.
"Well, now the long wait is over, and we get to see our new friends!" Pinkie excitedly.
The van doors open allowing three people to come out and the Sentry group can already tell one of them is a Demihuman human with the wings and horn on her head.
"Oh man, I can't believe we're finally here! I thought that road trip was never going to end!" A boy cheered as he fell on his knees.
"Come on, Spike. It wasn't that long when we got out of the airport." The young woman said.
"It was still a three-hour drive and feared my butt was gonna fall off if I had to sit in that van any longer." Spike complained a little.
Spike is a 14-year-old boy with light purple skin, green hair almost like spikes have grown on his head, and his eyes are moderate pistachio. He wears a purple hoodie with lime green spikes on the back and on the hood with a pale light green underneath, dark blue shorts, and purple-white sneakers with flames on each side.
"Technically, the drive was 2 hours and 34 minutes, just above halfway to three hours." The Demihuman girl pointed out.
"It was still a long drive." Spike believed.
"Cadance, this is our last move, right? No more moving around the country?" Spike asked the young woman.
"Yes, little brother, this is indeed the last move as this is our new forever home!" Cadance promised, kneeling to be in eye level to Spike.
Cadance is a young woman who has a long moderate violet with moderate rose and pale gold streaks on her hair, pale and light grayish cerise skin, light cerise eyebrows, brilliant arctic blue eyeshadow, light purple eyes, and light fuchsia lips. She also wore light brilliant amber necklace, long-sleeved moderate azure coat with moderate arctic blue collar, beige-colored button, and a diamond heart on her left chest, pale cyan shirt, moderate cyan skirt, and brilliant amber heels. Breasts sizes: J-cup.
"Awesome! That means we can finally have some fun together, Midnight!" Spike smiled at the Demihuman.
"I'm looking forward to experiencing them." The Demihuman named Midnight smiled back at the boy.
Midnight has dark purple skin and brilliant mulberry with pale light grayish cyan eyes and phantom eyeshadows of the same color as her eyes. Her hair is gravity-defying stand up with black-purple, violet, and brilliant rose streaks, and there is a pale, light grayish cyan horn on her forehead that has little cracker-likes on the side. She wears a pure white lab coat with two pens in the front pocket and long purple and pink high-heel boots, and silver googles over her head. Breasts sizes: H-cup.
"Hello, new neighbors!" Pinkie suddenly popped right between the two making them jump in shock.
"Whoa, who are you?" Spike asked shock.
"My name is Pinkie Pie! Here's a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" cupcale!" Pinkie handed Spike a cupcake.
"Huh, thank you." Midnight felt a little weird about this bunny girl, but she doesn't know why.
"Sorry about her, she can get really jumpy when it comes to meeting new people hoping to become friends with them." Flash apologized.
"Anyway, my name is Flash Sentry and I own the house next to yours. These are some of the Demihumans who are also living with me, Sugarcoat and you already met Pinkie Pie." Flash introduced himself and the girls.
"Greetings, we hope you find comfort of your new living space that may not include spiders or any other bad things a house may or may not have." Sugarcoat said.
"Huh, thank you?" Cadane weirded out of this girl.
"Don't worry about her, she can be blunt most of the time." Flash said.
"Well, my name is Cadance Heart-Sparkle, and this boy here is my young brother-in-law, Spike Sparkle and the Demihuman here is Midnight Sparkle." Cadance introduced herself and the group.
"I may not look like it, but I'm a tough boy you do not want to mess with!" Spike puffed up his chest slightly with a grin.
"I couldn't tell." Sugarcoat said, making Spike feel hurt.
"So, you guys just moved here?" Pinkie asked as she handed a cupcake to Cadance.
"Yes, I used to be a city planner for about six years until I decided to step down and settle in Canterlot City with all the good things I've been hearing about like the friendship and accepting the Demihumans here more." Cadance explained.
"Spike here has been with me within the last four years when his parents were called somewhere else, and they wouldn't be home for a long time and his big sister would also be away for college." Cadance explained about Spike as well.
"The traveling was fun, and I got to see some new places!" Spike said, but his expression change to sadness.
"But all that traveling had to make me leave my friends behind." Spike mentioned.
"I know a few guys who are like that." Flash nodded.
"So, how about you and I become friends together? I have an electric guitar I can wow you with." Flash offered.
"Cool!" Spike interested.
"And your last name is Sparkles, right? Funny on how you got the same last name as your two human hosts." Sugarcoat noticed.
"That's what I thought too, there was this She-Demon girl I used to know before she moved away to live with some humans and wished me luck if I found myself in the Exchange Bill which I thought she was crazy that I would do something like that." Midnight explained.
"But here you are, with us." Spike smiled, hugging Midnight's waist.
"Yes, how ironic I found myself in." Midnight chuckled, petting his head.
"Anyway, imagined my surprise when I met the family who will be hosting me into their home and happen to have the same last name as mine." Midnight said.
"It's crazy of how there are people with either the same last names or with the same face." Flash commented.
"Hey Flash, I found the t-shirt with the red guitar and black lightning bolt. Turns out, Indigo Zap was using it as a towel to swipe the sweat from her face." Sunset informed as she comes outside showing the shirt.
"Wait a minute, Demon Shimmer?" Midnight shocked to see the She-Devil young woman.
"Midnight Sparkle!" Sunset gasped, dropping the shirt.
Both demon girls squeal with joy and flew up a little to hug each other in a reunion embrace with some soft spinning, they came back down.
"I can't believe you're here!" Sunset said.
"Me? I never thought I would see you again after all this time! You've been living here?" Midnight asked smiling.
"My host has been a great man to me, in more ways than one." Sunset looked at Flash smiling.
"Well, me and my host family just moved here, and they have been very pleasant to be with." Midnight smirked with both hands on her hips.
"Hey, should we leave waking up the big cat girl in the other truck to you guys?" One of the mover men asked pointing at the second truck.
"Oh, that's right! We have to wake up Somnambula now, you know how she is if she can't stretch her wings." Cadance realized and hurry over to the second trunk.
"Is she another Demihuman with you guys?" Flash asked.
"Yeah, she's a recent addition to our group right when we moved from the other house." Spike answered.
"I believe you're going to find her very interesting once she comes out." Midnight nodded.
"Somnambula, time to wake up! We arrived at our new home!" Cadance called out to the Demihuman.
"Oh, appears we have stopped. Thank you for waking me up, Cadance." Somnambula responded with a yawn.
The Demihuman in question step out of the truck revealing herself to be very tall, about the same height as Indigo Zap. She has short hair that is dark arctic blue and moderate turquoise and long ponytail that goes down her half her leg tied with golden brace and at the end, tanned skin like she was kissed by the sun, grayish blue violet eyes and blue eyeshadows, the pupils are dagger shape like a cat. She wears a white dress that is half leg length with a gold wrapping around her waist three times, golden necklace with green gems on it, transparent sky-blue coat-like cloak, white hat with a golden headpiece with wing-like symbol and a golden brace on her left ankle. She also has cat ears and tail, and feathery light scarlet wings. And she doesn't wear shoes at all. Breasts sizes: S-cup.
"Hello there, are they our new neighbors?" Somnambula asked.
"Yes, we are and it's very nice to meet you! Pineapple cupcake!" Pinkie pulled out a basketball size cupcake from her hair to the tall Demihuman woman.
"Thank you very much, it's my favorite cupcake." Somnambula thanked as she takes the cupcake.
"Incredible! Your other Demihuman is Sphinx, one of the rarest among the Demihumans!" Sunset amazed of seeing a living Demihuman Sphinx right in front of her.
"I know, I said the same thing." Midnight smiled, remembering their first meeting.
"Oh, this home looks lovely and has a peaceful aura around it. I hope there's enough room in here for me." Somnambula impressed with the house.
"Don't worry, the agent of the Exchange Bill made sure that everything has been according to our needs including yours which is why it took us long to move here." Cadance explained.
"Do you need any help with the boxes. We'd be more than happy to help in getting to know our new neighbors." Flash offered.
"Please say yes, there is something I need to speed up with Sunset about." Midnight smiled, hugging Sunset.
"I don't see why not." Cadance chuckled.
And so, Flash and the three Demihumans got to work on helping their new neighbors unpack some boxes and taking them into the house.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Just when Pinkie and Sugarcoat were about to do some dancing, that was halted by the arrival of new neighbors moving into a house right next door and one of them just so happens to be a close friend to Sunset with another Demihuman being a rare species as a Sphinx.
