Author's Note: We're back with 2P!Japan and his wife. I apologize this is a short match. I just couldn't really focus. On Sunday, I went out to see Christmas lights. So I didn't really get much work done. I've been mostly working on the Christmas specials that are coming. I did the best I could this week. Next week is going to be much better. We will, be checking in on England and Mam. Then we will end the year with the Christmas special. I want to special 2024 with the Korean twins. For now, enjoy this short match.
Match Twenty-Six: Zashiki Warashi:
Winter is coming to Japan. And things are about to get tainted. Kuro and Kumiko are at the head of the change. However, there are other forces at play. They all made their way to the couple.
"What is that, dear?" Kumiko asked. Kuro forced himself to smile.
"An invitation," he said. She cocked her head to the side.
"Oh? An invitation to what?" she asked.
"A party."
She was leaning over his shoulder now. Kuro inched away from her.
"From Feliciano," he said. "Everyone is invited." Kumiko's eyes lit up.
"A party!" she said. "I don't remember the last time we went to one!" Her husband pressed his lips together. Kumiko was going to be a problem indeed. Still, a party would be nice. For now, he was going to have to spoil her until he could deal with her later.
Kuro turned to her with a smile on his face.
"Of course, dear," he said. "It would be nice to get out for a change." Kumiko cuddled up behind him.
"I love you, dear," she said.
"Yeah, yeah," he said. Kumiko could potentially make everything fall apart around them. There was no way that he could keep this up.
It was a quiet night in the city. This is not natural. There are usually people out here at about nine at night. The lights should be so bright. No. Something wasn't right here.
However, all isn't quiet here. There's someone out there tonight.
Oh? What is this? A little girl wandered out in the middle of the empty street. She had on a light pink kimono and a white mask. She held out a small red lantern. The child hummed to herself. She held out her lantern. Millions of little lights danced about in the air. Good, they were all here. The child held up her hand. The lights went still in midair. They gave off a low hum. The little girl stood up straight.
"Everyone is here, mother," she said. The girl looked up when footsteps walked out of the darkness. Kumiko lowered her hood. She reached out and patted the child on the head.
"Very good," she said. Kumiko turned to the stationary lights.
"Welcome, my children," she said. "I have a job for you." They all stood to listen.
Meanwhile, Kuro has his own work to do. He picked up the phone and made a special call.
"It's me," he said. "Yeah, she managed to follow me here." The Japanese man rolled his eyes.
"Yeah," he said. Kuro rubbed his forehead.
"I don't know what to do with her at times. Yes, yes. I do love her, but still…" He paused as he took a listen.
"Hm? Oh. She's working on her side of the project. Have I started on mine? I will, I will. I just need you to get started on your end of your project. Have you gotten started yet?" Kuro nodded as he listened.
"Good, good. When can I start seeing results? Right, right. Let's meet up by tomorrow morning. I would like to go over the finer parts of the plan. So what do you say? Excellent. Seven sound good? Sounds good to me. I will see you then." Kuro grinned to himself as he hung up.
Husband and wife have been busy bringing corruption to Japan as it is plunged further into the Wasteland. Meanwhile, the only thing that Kiku can do is sit back and watch from his mirror prison.
However, there might be a shake-up in how things are going for both sides of Japan. It all starts with a rather dark Christmas Party happening in three days' time.
