I watched in disbelief as he shook his head with disapproval.

"Come with me." He finally commanded, taking me by the arm, and practically dragging me out of the room.

We walked out of the office, and Edward stopped to talk to Emmett, "Emmett, come here." He called out.

Emmett appeared before us a moment later, a frown on his face.

"Gather our team, we are going to redesign all of the Holmes Hotel project. Do you understand?" Edward ordered.

"He just said no, why are you still trying?" Emmett asked in disbelief.

"We have time until tonight," Edward replied, still holding my hand.

Emmett sighed, "We worked for months on the first project. One night is too little time." He argued.

"Gather everyone and start brainstorming," Edward tells him, clenching my hand, which caused me to dig my nails into his skin so he could loosen his hold.

"Sorry." He mumbled, keeping his eyes on Emmett as he spoke.

Emmett stared back, with a disbelieving look, "Alright. Understood. Do you remember that one room where we stayed together in London? You should have fucking told me that you didn't like me, and to not formed a damn friendship….This is all my fault so no worries." Emmett grumbled as he stormed away, which caused me to laugh.

"I love that guy, he is so sensitive." I snickered as Edward shook his head, before sighing and reaching to grab my hand, before he led us to the stairwell.

Shaking his head as he led me down the stairs and to the parking lot, mumbled under his breath as he waited for his car to be brought to us.

"What is wrong with my ring?" I asked, coolly.

"Everything. It is not what I would get you. Absolutely not. We're going to my family jeweler." He informed me as he made his way over to the passenger's side and opened it for me.

"Family jeweler?" I asked in disbelief.

He hummed in response but otherwise ignored me as he continued to all but drag me after him.

He gestured for me to go in first, before following me, still shaking his head.

"Mr. Edward, welcome." The man in the store.

"Hello." Edward greeted.

"How is your mom?" The man asked.

"She is well. I hope you are doing well too." Edward replied.

"I am. Thank you." The man replied with a nod.

"We are looking for engagement rings." Edward finally told him once the pleasantries were over.

"Of course. If you'll please follow me this way." The man said as he led us to a room in the back with a classy sitting area. "If you'll please sit down." He instructed before disappearing.

I raised a brow before moving to sit down, turning as I heard Edward sigh, as he lowered himself next to me on the couch.

The man walked in with a few selections, a greedy gleam in his eyes, "Here you are." He said as he set the first few selections down in front of me on the coffee table.

I stared down at the assortment of rings, unimpressed.

"Pick one." Edward quietly told me.

I turned to look at him, before turning to look back at the man, "They're all beautiful, but all of those are entirely too big for me." I informed the man.

He looked down at my hands, and nodded in realization, "You have very thin, dainty, and delicate fingers." He notes. "We can adjust the size if needed." He adds.

"I wasn't referring to that, I was saying that the diamonds are extremely too big," I told him.

The man looked over at Edward, "Mr. Edward. Let me tell you that you are very lucky, it is difficult to meet a woman so unambitious, but you are very lucky, especially when it comes to rings." He boasted.

Edward made a face and nodded, "It seems to me that a smaller diamond would be inappropriate." He said giving me a look, which I readily answered with one of my own.

"Then you pick. You asked me, and when I gave my opinion, you got mad." I replied in the same heated tone.

"The size of the diamond is the same, but I have rings that are specially made, I can show them to you if you want." The man suggested.

Edward nodded, patiently, "Please do." He tells him.

The man nodded and hurriedly left.

"Why are you so damn stubborn? Pick one and we'll get out of here." He tells me.

I shook my head, "You pick it. You'll probably pick one out which you'll probably deem worthy of me." I snipped, as the salesman walked back in.

"Alright, here you are." He told us. "The master who polished these stones is a very important goldsmith. I hope the lady likes them." He adds.

I stood up and moved to look around the room, allowing Edward to look. " Mister, you misunderstood me. I don't really like to boast if there was something more in line with my spirit. That fit me… I'd love it." I told him, embarrassed.

Edward sighed and shook his head as he looked through the new assortment of rings. Concentration was clear on his face.

" has chosen already. Would you like to try it on?" The man asked.

I stared over at Edward in disbelief, as he beckoned me forward with one of his hands.

"Come here." He quietly tells me.

I slowly moved towards him and sighed as he gently grabbed my hand, and slid the ring on my finger.

It was a pear-shaped, blue sapphire ring, with a rose gold setting. The sapphire was surrounded by small diamonds and had a removable eternity band that came with it. The ring looked larger on my finger.

"That's the Call Of The Ocean." The man whispered.

"Do you like it?" Edward asked, eyeing me, with an indecipherable expression on his face.

The look in his eyes caused something in my stomach to swirl, and every muscle in my lower body and abdomen to clench.

"It's very big but very beautiful," I admitted, as he smiled and nodded in response before it disappeared.

I blinked, unsure of whether or not that smile was a figment of my imagination, "Are you sure?" I asked him, frowning.

Edward nodded, "The color suits you well." He whispered, before turning to look at the man.

"I'll wrap it for you-?" He began to say before trailing off.

"Ella." I told him.

"Alright. Thank you very much." Edward said as we watched him disappear out the door.

I turned to look up at him, "Add to the contract that I will give it back." I told him as I looked around, uncomfortably.

I heard him sigh, and mumble something under his breath.

"Excuse me." He mumbled as he pulled his phone out and walked out of the room.

I could hear him talking to his mother and telling her to arrange the party. All the while I stood there, listening in disbelief.

Sometime later, the man reappeared with the small bag.

"Here you go." He told me as he handed me the bag.

I immediately took it, and nodded, "Thank you." I politely replied at the same time that Edward did.

Edward guided me to the exit, "Look at the time, let's go get something to eat." He tells me.

I smiled, "Thank you, I am also hungry." I replied, smiling.

"Put the ring on your finger." He adds as he guides me down to his car.

He drove us to a restaurant near the lakefront and shook his head as he read a text on his phone after he parked.

Without hesitating, he guided me up the stairs to the restaurant.

"Mr. Edward, your table is this way." The hostess says guides us through the open layout of the restaurant.

"Thank you," Edward replied as he gestured for me to sit down.

Immediately after sitting down, he was back to having his nose in his phone, while I sat there enjoying the beautiful, breathtaking sight that we were sitting next to.

"You haven't looked at the breathtaking view since we sat down." I stated as I sat there staring out the massive glass wall.

"I am already very entertained, I know the view by heart." He replied disinterested.

"That is the stupidest, most ridiculous thing I've ever heard." I scoffed.

"Why is it the stupidest, most ridiculous thing?" He asked, as he set his phone down.

I gave him a look, "You can't memorize a view like this. The landscape always changes. I don't know. In the clouds, or the lighting, heck even the boats in the water. Take a look, is it always like this?" I asked him as I stared at him.

He sighed and turned to look out the window, albeit begrudgingly. "Yeah, you're right." He allows as he turns to look back at me. "It has changed," He admits, as the corner of his lips twitch, and an amused glint appears in his eyes, disappearing before I can decipher what the emotion passing through his eyes is. "They've built more buildings." He deadpans, before picking up his phone and looking at the screen again.

Then he stiffened as we both turned to see Garrett and Tanya making their way to our table.

"Fuck." Edward mumbles as he straightens in his seat.

I don't know how they ended up sitting with us, but I ended up sitting next to Edward, with his hand on my knee.

I kept trying to slap it away only for him to smile at me, in fake adoration, and tighten his hold on it.

"Do you want to leave already?" He asked me, in a quiet but pleased tone.

"Whenever you want, sweetheart," I replied through clenched teeth, a wide smile on my face.

"Woah, uh, calm down, you two are in a public place." Garrett suddenly interrupted.

We ignored him and kept staring at each other. With me trying to not glare at him, as he smirked and squeezed my leg, my hand trying to pry it off.

"What is going on with you two?" He asked as I tightened my hold on Edward's hand.

"Hm? Oh, sorry, it's the mood of where we are." Edward said as he looked at me. " Either way, we'll leave you two alone. We have to go." He adds as we both get up.

"Hang on a minute," Tanya cut in, trying to stop us.

I smiled fakely at her before turning to look at Edward, "Tomorrow we are having our engagement party. We would be happy if you two came. Right, honey?" I cooed, eyeing Edward amused.

"Extremely so." He deadpans.

"Sure." Tanya replied nodded, immediately.

"Of course, we'll go." Garrett said nodding as he looked at Tanya.

"Well, bon appetit!" I say.

"See you later." Edward says before he all but drags me away. Our hands still enterlaced as he does.

As soon as we turn the corn, I looked at him.

"You can let my fucking hand go now." I tell him through clenched teeth.

"I can't. They're still watching." He replied, quietly. "Do you really think I want to be holding your fucking talons? I don't. Now, be quiet, and calm the fuck down." He adds before leading me in the direction of the stairwell.

"Of course you do. You like touching me every chance you get." I teased, smirking when he clenched his jaw and narrowed his eyes.

We make it down one set of stairs before he has my back pressed against the wall.

"You are driving me insane, didn't I ask you to calm the fuck down? Why are you always trying to piss me off?" He demanded as he held me pinned to the wall.

I smirked, "I'm - I'm not doing anything." I replied, innocently.

"Right. Cool it with the attitude, I am not going to be doing this in public. If you try something like this again, you won't like the consequences when we get back to my house. Do you understand, Isabella?" He asked me, tensely.

I nodded, as I licked my lips, and looked up at him through my lashes, "Of course, Eddie-kins." I replied.

He let out a sharp breath, his eyes narrowing into slits as he stares down at me, still pressing me against the wall. Before I could comprehend what was happening, he slammed his lips onto mine. Kissing the ever-living shit out of me.

This kiss held tension which rolled in waves between us, all the while holding an underlying mixture of emotions.

As he stepped back, breathing hard, as I stood, still pinned against the wall. Watching in disbelief as he turned and walked away like nothing happened.

My lips felt swollen, and hot, as I unsteadily trailed behind him, feeling hot and bothered as I did.

"If you're going to do that, I better get taken to dinner and a movie, or I won't be held responsible for the aftermath," I told him as he opened the passenger's door.

He raised a brow at me, "Dully noted." He mumbled flatly before closing the door and walking around the car to get in.

I held back a smirk as I saw him adjust himself before sliding into the car.

"Sidenote, if you wanted to do that... All you had to do was tell me... I don't mind being kissed like that." I teased.

"No thanks, I liked your reaction better when you're surprised." He snickered.

I scowl at him, "You won't like it the next time you do that." I replied, trying to intimidate him.

He scoffed as he slowly backed out, and drove out of the lot.
