Kagura stood outside of the mall, eagerly waiting Sakaki's arrival. She had the cat ears tucked into a pocket on the inside of her jacket, tucked away safely so that they'd be protected. Her eyes kept darting left and right, then occasionally down towards her watch to check the time. A few minutes later, she saw a tall girl with long dark hair approaching her in the distance. She wore a maroon jacket, a purple long sleeved shirt, jeans, and a pair of brown boots. Kagura stuck her arm high in the air and waved over at her friend, making sure not to damage the cst ears. "Hey, Sakaki!" She called out. Feeling a little embarrassed, Sakaki shuffled over and greeted her friend. "Hey." She softly said to her friend. The two girls exchanged pleasantries, then walked over to the box office to see what movies were playing. "How about that one?" Kagura said, pointing up at the screen. "What's it about?" Sakaki asked.

"It's a foreign movie." Kagura explained. "Basically, this guy goes to Mexico to get treated for cancer, but it turns out it's a scam, so then the guy gets revenge on them by setting up these traps they have to escape out of or they'll die. I saw this clip of a girl who had to saw her own leg off, it was pretty cool!"

Sakaki went white after Kagura started going into detail about everything. "Um..." Sakaki began, cathing Kagura's attention. "Huh? What's up?" Kagura asked. "Do you not like foreign movies?"

"Um...kind of." Sheepishly answered Sakaki.

"That's cool, no problem. They're not for everyone."

"Phew." Sakaki thought. She began to scan the list of movies that were currently playing. Eventually, her eyes settled on a movie about cats. Coincidentally, Kagura happened to see the same movie just a few seconds later.

"Oh hey, what about that one? You like cats, right?" She asked her friend. Sakaki looked over and nodded determinedly. "Alright, let's watch it!" Kagura declared. The two girls paid for their tickets and then entered the theater lobby. "Do you want any popcorn?" Offered Kagura. "Oh no, I'm fine." Sakaki politely declined. Kagura secretly wanted to get some popcorn, but didn't want to seem greedy. They instead headed to their theater and got seated. There was still a while before the movie started, so Kagura decided to make good use of it. "Um, hey, Sakaki." Kagura started. Sakaki looked over at her friend. "I-I wanted to give you this." Kagura reached inside her coat and pulled out the cat ears. Sakaki looked at them and blushed almost instantly. "I saw them at the store yesterday, and I thought that you may like them."

She handed them over to Sakaki, who quickly thanked the girl. "Can...can I put them on?" Sakaki asked.

"Duh, that's why I got you them." Kagura told her friend, playing it cool and acting like she wasn't nervous a couple seconds ago. Sakaki affixed the cat ears onto her head with the utmost seriousness and care. After a couple moments of fidgeting around, she stopped and put her hands down. "How do I look?" She asked, her cheeks a rosey hue. "You look awesome!" Affirmed Kagura. "Hey, let's take a photo together!"

Kagura pulled out her phone and got the camera open, but as soon as she went to take a photo the lights in the theater dimmed and the trailers began to play.

"Dang it." Kagura said defeatedly. "We'll have to take one later on."

"That's fine." Sakaki told her friend. The two girls kept on talking, until the movie began to play. They turned to face the screen and watched the movie together as friends. About two hours later, the movie was over, and the two girls walked out of the theater. Sakaki's cat ears were still tightly affixed on her head. "What did you think?" Kagura asked Sakaki, folding her arms behind her head. "I liked it." Sakaki said smiling. "What did you think?"

Before Kagura could answer, a young girl with bright green hair and four small pony tails ran over to the two girls. "Woah!" She said in amazement, pointing up at Sakaki's ears. "Those look pretty!" She declared, making Sakaki blush a little. "Th-thank you." The tall girl said. "Come on, Yostuba." A man called out from across the theater lobby. "Bye!" The young girl said, then ran off to her father. Kagura chuckled. "Looks like those cat ears made you pretty popular!" She joked. Sakaki kept a small smile on her face, because deep down being called pretty made her feel a little happier.
