CHAPTER 45

Felicity woke hearing knocking from her front door, she groaned it had been a late night and she wasn't expecting any need to be up early. She started to raise up in bed which disturbed John as his arm was around her pulling her in against his chest.

"Shh go back to sleep its just the door, I'll be back in a minute." She said slipping from the bed.

"I can go." John said groggily.

"I'm already up." She replied wrapping her robe around as she slipped through the doorway.

At the door she opened it a crack with the safety catch on to be met with the sweet old lady from a few houses down.

"Mrs Fernandes." Felicity said shocked to see her so early. "Is everything okay?" She continued, as she did, she partially closed the door to release the chain and face her neighbor.

"Felicity dear I know its early but Nellie didn't come home again last night and I am worried, have you seen her?" The soft elderly toned neighbor asked. Felicity could hear the worry in her voice, however this was not the first time of the cat staying out all night and she had already called on Felicity twice yesterday since her and John had been back.

"No Mrs Fernandes we still haven't seen her. Like I said yesterday we will keep looking for her and if we see anything you will be the first to know." Felicity tried to be polite past her frustration of being woken. She already missed the quiet of the Tracy penthouse.

"Thank you dear. Where is that fine gentleman from yesterday?" The neighbor continued.

Felicity sighed, "He is still in bed Mrs Fernandes, we were working late last night."

"I remember seeing the lights on very late while I kept looking for Nellie. It's not very healthy to work so late, you should be getting plenty of rest." She fussed.

Felicity bit her tongue, she would have been getting plenty of sleep if Mrs Fernandes had not woken her up early while knowing they were up late. It was too late that Felicity realised that she had spoken this out loud. "I'm sorry Mrs Fernandes, I am just very tired. If we see your cat, we will let you know." At the upset look on Mrs Fernandes face Felicity just tried to give an apologetic smile and closed the door.

"Stupid malfunctioning filter." She mumbled as she heavily thumped her head against the door.

Ugh she growled before lifting her head and making her way back to bed.

PAUSE

It was about 11am, Felicity and John had managed to get a few more hours sleep in after the interruption by her neighbor. John was showering while Felicity was finishing her morning routine, there was more knocking at the door. Felicity rolled her eyes at herself in the mirror and stormed down the stairs while still brushing her teeth.

As she walked down the stairs she grumbled loudly between brushes, "I already told you, I haven't seen your…" She pulled open the door. "Cat." She said loudly removing the toothbrush to make sure she was heard. Felicity realised that on her doorstep was a lack of Mrs Fernandes, standing there was Ray Palmer.

"I haven't seen him either." He replied. Felicity felt her face drop in shock and heat in embarrassment at the CEO of Palmer Tech being on her doorstep while she was holding her toothbrush, mouth full of foam and so not ready for this. As she processed, Ray stepped past Felicity into her home and continued, "Or is the cat a girl?" He continued talking to himself as he went down the hallway.

Felicity on auto pilot closed the door and turned to follow Ray, as he drew level with the living room doorway he stopped to look back at Felicity, "Ray…what are you..?" She questioned as her shock started to dissipate.

Ray stepped into the living room looking about the place, "Nice place you've got here. Lots of space with everything packed away into boxes." He turned back to face into the hallway. "So it occurred to me this morning, what's the one thing Queen Consolidated has that we don't use to its maximum potential?" He looked to Felicity for an answer.

Without even actively thinking she just blurted around the toothpaste foam, "A doorbell." She glanced at the door.

Ray just continued, "Have you heard of a process called 'cogeneration?" He looked to her eagerly.

Felicity just wanted the ground to swallow her whole right now. "I haven't even looked at a cup of coffee yet." She ignored Ray and walked straight past him to the kitchen.

"Well, cogeneration is…" Ray continued following Felicity into the kitchen.

Felicity cut Ray off, "The repurposing…" She made it to the sink, spat out the toothpaste foam and spun on the spot to face him. "Of waste heat given off by electricity production." She turned back to the sink to wash her toothbrush.

"Exactly. It's a principle of thermodynamic efficiency, which occurred to me." Felicity moved onto the kettle and started prepping hot drinks for her and John. "Could be applied to a building which generates over 240,000 watts of electricity like Queen Consolidated." Felicity glared at Ray while the kettle boiled. "I did some preliminary calculations on the drive over."

The click of the kettle timed just right and Felicity poured out the two cups, she then picked up hers and walked back to Ray, as he sidestepped, she slipped past and back to the living room, sitting on the sofa. She took the offered napkin from him as he sat down and squinted at the numbers. "You want to sell QC's excess energy back to the city?"

Ray smiled as Felicity, "If by 'sell' you mean give it away for free, yes." Felicity flopped back on the sofa as Ray continued. "Energy is something that should be given freely to the masses."

There was another set of knocks to the door interrupting Ray. "Uh, you still haven't found Mrs Fernandes' cat, I'm guessing." Ray added.

Felicity hauled herself up again, she still hadn't gotten any coffee yet, she walked back to the front door and opened it wide fully expecting her neighbor. What she got was an ear deafening scream and her mother throwing herself at her. She narrowly avoided a collision with her cup holding it out to the side.

"Oh, my beautiful girl!" Shrieked in her ear.

"Mom?" Felicity questioned completely shocked for the third time that morning. As Felicity's mom stepped back Felicity cut straight to the most important question, "What are you doing here?"

"Honey, I came to see you." Felicity saw the joy on her mums face start to vanish replaced with worry. "For a visit. Look, look, look." She continued rummaging for her phone. She held up the messaging screen showing her text to Felicity.

Felicity looked at the phone the screen had a text compiled but not sent. "Mom to send a text, you actually have to press send to send it." She said exasperated.

Her mom turned the phone back to look at the screen, "Oh, OK, not a big deal, I'll do it right now."

Felicity watched in astonishment, she hadn't seen her mother in years and she just showed up unexpected. She heard her phone sound upstairs, she turned away from the door and realised Ray had followed her.

"Are you adopted?" He questioned as she made eye contact with him. She just mumbled an incoherent mm and stepped to the side to let her mother through.

"Oh! I'm so sorry. I didn't know you had somebody staying over." Her mom said walking further into the hallway, Felicity just wanted the ground to swallow her whole.

"Oh no he's not staying over." Felicity very quickly shot that down, John was upstairs she had left him showering so he was probably out and more than likely able to hear everything. "He's not, like… we're not… This is my boss." She panicked trying to get her mother to understand as her brain processed the safest way to convey what was going on.

Ray held his hand out, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms Smoak."

"Hi, you can call me Donna." Her mom replied with a very smooth tone.

"Mom." Felicity tried to beg with just that one word how embarrassed she was and needed this to stop.

"I'm Ray." Ray continued his introductions.

"Oh, my god. Palmer?" Donna realised who she was addressing. "You're that watch guy."

"We like to call them smart wearables." Ray clarified.

Donna shrieked excitedly, "I bought one of your watches! Look!" She waved her wrist in Ray's face. "See? Felicity here thinks I don't pay attention to all of her techy things." She boasted proudly, looking behind her to catch Felicity's attention.

Felicity just looked to the ceiling as Donna and Ray continued and talked smart watches. Some movement caught her eye and she turned to see John walking down the stairs, thankfully he was fully dressed and only noticed by Felicity at the moment.

Felicity moved herself to the bottom of the stairs to greet John just as Ray said loudly, "I'll let you two catch up." As he walked past Donna who was holding her arm up looking at the newly gifted watch. Felicity just silently nodded trying not to draw any more attention to herself. "Let me know what you think about those cogeneration numbers. Donna, hope to see you again soon."

Felicity almost ran at the open door as Ray left the house, "Wouldn't count on it, she'll probably be really busy…" She shouted as she slammed the door closed, she didnt turn around but tried to get sucked into the door mumbling, "Planning my funeral after I die of embarrassment."

Felicity heard movement before she felt someone coax her off the door, she recognised John and allowed it. She peeked out from his chest curious as to why her mother hadn't questioned John or made something more mortifying of a situation than she was already in. Donna was still admiring the watch.

She groaned loudly enough for only John to hear and felt him squeeze her reassuringly.

"Mom." Felicity called to get her mothers attention.

Donna distractedly turned, she was still looking over the watch. "Yeah Huni."

"This is John. John this is my…" Felicity was cut of at Donna's scream of delight as she finally paid attention to them. Felicity felt John tense at the loudness, she was already half deafened from the greeting scream.

"You finally found a boyfriend!" Donna enveloped them both in a hug. Felicity just froze on the spot.

"It's nice to meet you Ms Smoak." John replied. Felicity felt Donna pull back.

"Oh you can call me mom." She grinned at them both.

Felicity jumped right in, "No mom, eww, no that is not happening." She slid more in front of John squaring off to her mother.

"Okay, okay, call me Donna." She back tracked, flicking her hair over her shoulder and smiling sweetly.

"Mom stop that." Felicity scolded her mom, she went to support the coffee cup she was still holding with her other hand as it was starting to get heavy.

She saw her mom glance away and make eye contact with her briefly before glancing down. Before she could process her hand had been yanked forward and she did her best to not lose the cup full of coffee. She felt the cup weight lighten and glanced to see John's hand over the top taking it from her.

"Your engaged?" Donna screeched pulling her daughter's hand closer to inspect the ring.

"Yes, if you just gave me a chance to talk instead of just jumping to conclusions, John is my fiancée." Felicity replied with a petulant tone edging her voice. The morning just wasn't going to plan.

Felicity was pulled excitedly into another hug from her mom. She just rode it out for a few seconds before Donna held her back at arm's length, "Why didn't you tell me?" She sounded really hurt.

"It's been busy and we don't talk very often, I was waiting until I next saw you. Which happens to be now so I'm telling you now." She explained, a niggle of guilt settled into her gut at not telling her sooner even though they weren't close.

"I try calling you but you hardly answer, and I'm not good with these texty things..." Donna started to reply getting upset

"Mom." Felicity cut her off. "We literally only just got up, I haven't even had a coffee yet before my boss descended and then you." She started to get an edge to her voice. She felt John rest a hand on her shoulder as his voice interrupted.

"How about we go sit down, the sofa hasn't been packed up yet and we can have drinks and talk." He gently tried to smooth over the rising tensions, he pecked Felicity on her cheek.

Donna released Felicity, "Your moving?" She questioned.

"Mom, let's just go sit down." Felicity put her arm out to show that Donna should go ahead. "In there." She directed.

As her mom went into the living room she turned to John smiled weakly at him, "I'm sorry she just showed up out the blue."

John leaned down mindful of the coffee cup he still had and kissed Felicity, "You don't need to be sorry and we've survived terrifying situations, I'm sure we can handle your mother. Your not alone." He cupped her cheep with his free hand trying to offer comfort. He gave her a moment as he felt her push into his hand before he handed the cup back to her.

"I made you a cup in the kitchen." She told him.

"Does your mom drink coffee?" John asked.

"Just black coffee with three sugars." Felicity replied.

"You go sit, I'll sort that and we can get everything explained out in the open and back to our organised plans of the day." He got Felicity to walk towards the living room pushing her in while he continued to the kitchen.

Felicity sat down on the sofa her mom had taken the single chair and an awkward silence descended. She hadn't seen her mom in years and she had been overthinking how exactly to introduce John since they got engaged. The mother daughter relationship was strained especially after everything that had happened with her cyber merging and her dad leaving.

Felicity was caught up thinking that she hadn't realised how much time had passed until John walked in. She watched him pass a cup to her mom before joining her on the sofa. She still hadn't drunk any of her coffee either. She pulled the cup up and started to drink, hopefully it would buy her more thinking time.

"So how long have you both been together? Donna excitedly asked the upset from in the hallway seemingly forgotten.

"Almost a year." John answered after glancing at Felicity and seeing her hiding behind her mug.

Donna squealed in excitement, "A man who can remember anniversaries, Felicity you got a keeper there." She gushed. "And how did you meet?" She sat forward in the chair eagerly awaiting the story.

John glanced at Felicity again, she had placed her mug in her lap with both hands wrapped around it, he could see her playing with the handle, he rested his mug on his leg freeing up a hand that he rested on Felicity's leg.

"I was guest speaker at a conference and we met over a coffee there." John answered, keeping things a little vague as he wasn't sure how much to actually say.

"So sweet, what is it that you do for work? If you were at the same conference it must be something techy right?" Donna asked.

"I work for Tracy Engineering as a communications consultant." John answered.

"Consultant that's very professional. Are you moving in together?" Donna pried more.

"Mom I'm just moving closer to work that's all. Felicity finally answered, she was getting frustrated being grilled so much and felt bad for John doing all the answering so far.

"So can I help? Do you have family John?" Donna continued.

"Mom." Felicity exclaimed. "Stop with the twenty questions. We have a truck booked for two pm and we still have more packing to do, if you want to help you can but we need to get started." Felicity was not ready to tell her mom about John's family and their fortune or island.

"Ok hunny. You tell me what needs packing and I got it." Donna offered.

Felicity downed the last of her coffee, she took her hand from the handle and lay it over John's giving it a squeeze of appreciation.

Felicity sorted the kitchen items and Donna packed them while John boxed all of the tech in Felicity's spare room. Felicity was donating the majority of her things as the penthouse was fully furnished and she hadn't got many possessions except her tech stuff, clothes and nick nacks that were already back on Tracy Island.

The truck turned up on time and the movers shifted everything into the back.

John drove them over to the penthouse, Donna kept remarking how nice and expensive the car was. When they pulled into the underground garage, John parked next to Felicity's car and they took the elevator up to the penthouse.

Donna gushed over John's manners, he insisted on taking her suitcase.

Donna was speechless as they stepped out of the elevator, John set the suitcase aside and went to Felicity.

"I'll go and sort the movers. You can give the tour." He chuckled as he gave Felicity a chaste kiss before going back on the elevator.

The clunk of the doors closing brought Donna's attention back to Felicity. "How can you afford this?" She walked closer to Felicity, she had a worried tone. "John seems like a great guy, you don't need to be flashy to impress a man and keep them." She tried to protect her daughter.

"Mom!" Felicity indignantly cried at her mom for the assumption she was trying to impress John in such a way. "This is John's. His family carry out business in the city from time to time. So you don't need to worry that I'm using money I don't have to impress him." She answered back."

"He comes from a rich business family? Does he have any older brothers? Or uncles?" She suggestively asked.

"Mom!" Felicity repeated with more exasperation. "If you keep embarrassing me I will find you a hotel." She threatened.

Donna held her hands up in surrender. "Alright, I was only asking. Make sure you insist a pre-nup isn't needed." She semi joked.

"What me and John choose to do will for the fairness of us both and none of your concern." Felicity snapped back at her mum, it drove her crazy how so much was about money with her.

Felicity annoyed, grabbed her mom's suitcase and started walking through the apartment. At each room she called out what that room was and ended the tour at the farthest room from theirs. She left her mom to get settled in.

PAUSE

It was early evening, Felicity, John and Donna were enjoying a big belly burger in the penthouse. They had unpacked the few boxes that were staying at the penthouse before sending the movers onto the airport with the boxes for Tracy Island and the remainder were going to the glades to help those in need.

Donna had been more reasonable since Felicity snapped at her. As they were joking over a story John was telling about a family camping trip where Scott, Virgil and he had told scary stories to Alan and Gordon before bed. They then had snuck out and made spooky noises, shook tents and stomped about scaring the younger Tracy's.

The power suddenly went out in the penthouse. John stood and looked out the window to see the entire city black. Felicity looked around confused, the building was meant to have backup generators but it seemed they weren't kicking in.

"The whole city is out." John said turning back, he caught Felicity's eye and raised a questioning eyebrow.

"The backup generator should have kicked in by now." She added.

Before more could be said the TV screen in the room lit up with a demonic kind of eye and a distorted voice started to talk. Felicity pulled out her phone and saw the same on that screen too.

There was an electronically distorted voice that started to speak. Donna was unusually quiet but Felicity didn't pay much attention as she listened to the voice. There was a quiet ringing that caught her attention, she glanced over to John who was glancing down at his watch. He caught her eye and she nodded before he slipped away to another room.

Felicity went back to fully paying attention to voice.

"We are Bother Eye, judgement has been rendered against this City. We will provide you a new life, you will live on your knees, and it will take nothing more than a push of a button. We are in control now. This is all just the beginning. Let there be light."

The screen went black, and the power returned.

"Well that was exciting." Donna broke the silence in the room.

"I wouldn't have described it as exciting, more like terrifying. To have the ability to shut down a whole city even the backups that is terrifying." Felicity babbled as her mind started to process what they would need to do to track this Brother Eye.

She grabbed for her phone and started to dial Oliver, before she hit the call she heard John's footsteps and glanced up at him.

"I mean it is scary that someone could do this but it's also exciting, it's like something from a movie." Donna continued, she returned back to nibbling her fries.

Felicity didn't really pay any notice to her mom and focussed on John, he looked like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. As he got closer he made eye contact with her and he looked haunted, this was much bigger than Star City.

Felicity scooped up what was left of her food and John's, there was no way they would be eating any more. She scurried to the kitchen area and hoped John would follow.

She dropped the packaging on the counter and turned around John was a few steps behind, Felicity glanced past him to see her mum still in the seating area.

"It's bigger than here isn't it?" She asked.

John nodded and took a deep breath. "The whole world that's digitally connected as far as we can identify right now. It seems that our network was outside the grid enough to avoid being affected. Alan has started tracing the origin but its over his capabilities. Dad has everyone on standby this took out hospitals, airports, police stations, prisons everything."

Felicity heard her phone ringing from the living room. "We will sort this, I am going to have to get to the foundry." She ran back to the main room and went for her phone from the coffee table. She unlocked the phone and saw it was Oliver.

"Are you heading to the foundry?" Growled down the phone before she could say anything. "Laurel has been called in and Diggle has baby Sara." Oliver continued, Felicity felt like she was his last choice, but this was serious, and she needed the setup in the foundry.

"I will be there in twenty." She answered, the phone cut straight away.

She dialled Dig. "Hey Dig, I uh, my mom is staying in town, she loves babies." Felicity started to offer, they were going to need all hands to deal with this. "Oliver said you had Sara and well pretty sure you noticed the power out about five minutes ago, if you need or want a babysitter my mom is in town and did I mention she loves babies?" Felicity hurriedly babbled. She had walked back to the kitchen for more privacy.

"Felicity, take a breath." Dig's calm voice came through the phone once she gave him enough time to actually say something. "I did notice the power outage and the Brother Eye. I think if you're mom could watch Sara that would be best."

"Okay Dig I'll bring her over to you." Felicity ended the call. She looked up to John, "If we drop mom at Dig's then get to the foundry."

"Agreed, I'll just let Alan know then join you at the elevator." He lent down and kissed Felicity quickly before she strode off back to her mom.

"Mom, I've been called into work over this blackout. My friend he's got his daughter and been called in as well so you want to babysit for him, please mom it's really important." Felicity tried to sound very needy by the end.

"Aww I love kids of course. Let me grab my bag." She left her empty wrappers on the table and rushed to her room. Felicity took a deep breath mentally preparing.

As her mom approached she turned towards the elevator with her mom close behind, John was there with the doors open ready.

PAUSE

Felicity and John arrived at verdant, Dig followed in his own car. Donna had instantly fallen in love with baby Sara, scooped her up and shooed them away. All three rushed into the basement down the stairs, Felicity went straight to her setup.

"What is he doing here?" Oliver growled as soon as he realised John was tailing Felicity.

"He who has a name, its John by the way, has more information than we have right now and is an extra set of hands for me… for the computers for hacking so deal with it." Felicity bit back as she started opening programs.

John didn't even bother acknowledging Oliver he focused on the screens Felicity was moving through.

The basement door went again and another set of steps came down the stairs, Felicity assumed it was Roy and paid no attention to the background noises solely focusing on her task.

Diggle brought over another office style chair, not as flashy as Felicity's but he tapped John's shoulder to signal it was there. John plonked himself down in the chair not breaking focus on the screens.

There was lots of talking behind Felicity but she blanked out as much as possible, "John, I think we should have an open comms. to Thunderbird 5 I can correlate what Alan has already covered." She suggested, reaching over to grab herself and John an earpiece.

"I agree." He lifted up his watch and called through to Thunderbird 5. "John am I glad to see you, most of the population are panicking the system is starting to lag." Alan sounded concerned.

"Alan don't worry, this is unusual circumstances just keep monitoring and we can intervene if needed. Right now I need to you open up access for Felicity into Thunderbird 5 systems, she's going to patch some comm. pieces into the system and access what data you have already collected." John calmly instructed Alan, being the youngest of the Tracy's and more hot headed he was quicker to initially panic especially up on Thunderbird 5, he was more manageable when we have physical tasks to focus on.

"FAB." Alan replied.

"Thanks Alan." Felicity said as she negated around the Thunderbird systems linking their earpieces. "Okay we have an open channel." She continued. John disconnected his watch hearing Alan confirm in his own ear. "Now to see what you have." She mumbled so focused.

John pulled the keyboard in front of him closer and started assisting Felicity now that he understood what she was doing, he could hear Alan dealing with a rescue in the background which he kept listening into while he worked.

He picked up on Gordon being sidetracked on the rescue, something to do with a signal which peaked his interest so he put aside his current task and focused in on what Thunderbird 4 sensor readings. "Gordon your focus needs to be on that vessel. I'm taking a look at the signal now."

John monitored the signal it was encoded and he was working to crack the code but as he was monitoring he noticed that the signal pulsed seconds before the quakes hit. Before he could warn Thunderbird 5 of his suspicions there was another pulse and he heard Alan warning Gordon.

Virgil could be heard detailing his struggles to hurry Gordon along but there was no reply. John felt his chest constrict and his breath catch at the silence. Alan called out next for Gordon and still no response, John noticed Felicity slow on her keyboard inputting and he caught her glancing over to him. Next Virgil called out for Gordon again, Felicity stopped any typing at all at this point she turned more to look at John with worry and concern in her eyes. John reached over and grabbed her hand in comfort for them both.

Before either could say anything they heard a groggy Gordon finally respond. John felt the pressure in his chest release and he took a deep steadying breath, he gave a gentle squeeze to Felicity's hand in his and they both shared a relieved smile. Felicity gave a squeeze back before returning back to the keyboard and continuing with her hacking.

When Gordon finished his response John added. "Gordon when you're out safe I need you to retrieve whatever is at the epicenter and transmitting that signal. I think its linked to the earthquake tremors."

"FAB." Gordon replied.

John went back to trying to back-trace the signal, his gut was screaming at him that something was suspicious about this situation.

John went back to monitoring the signal after Gordon announced his intent to retrieve whatever could be found at the location. He didn't want Gordon to be caught out by another quake. He heard Gordon report about a cave system and John felt the adrenaline spike hit him, this could go south very quickly for Gordon if another quake hit.

"John is there any advanced warning you can give based on your current theory." Jeff asked concern in his voice.

"I have milli-seconds warning at best." John replied to his dad's question, he wished it could be more. There was no pattern to the time between the last few tremors only that pulse on the transmission.

"Understood. We will take whatever we can. Gordon don't dawdle." Jeff responded.

John would have tried to create a monitoring algorithm that he could patch through to Thunderbird 4 giving Gordon a sooner warning but then he wouldn't be able to look for the pulses while doing that. He sent a silent prayer Gordon could get in and out without incident.

"I've got a visual on something. I'm going in for a closer look." Gordon came through and John held his breath eyes fixed on his screen and the signal. "There is something.." The signal pulsed. "...on the cave floor…"

John saw the signal pulse and registered he needed to warn Gordon he cried out. "Thunderbird 4, get out of there!" His heart started to race as the panic set in, had he managed to give enough warning for Gordon. Someone grabbed his hand, and he averted his gaze from the screen to meet Felicity before he heard Oliver questioning what was going on. He watched as Felicity turned away from him to address Oliver and she released his hand but that moment of comfort from her had helped calm his panic.

"Oliver back off and just let us deal with this when we know something concrete you will be the first to know. International Rescue is dealing with a situation and John is dealing with something that may or may not be connected." Felicity was such an amazing individual and John again felt a swell of pride that she was with him and had his back no matter what.

There was still no communication on the other end of the comms. from Thunderbird 4. John listened with held breath he felt so helpless, there was a void of silence with Alan continually trying to contact Thunderbird 4. "Alan there is another pulse." John reported still monitoring.

The silence was daunting, John was dreading the worst and praying for the best of his younger brother, he might be the biggest pain but losing him, losing any one of them would destroy them all.

The signal he was monitoring suddenly stopped registering, he started to run deeper scans of the area he couldn't lose it now especially if it was linked to the tremors.

"Thunderbird 4 is moving, there must be an issue with the comms." Alan cheered.

John felt the sudden relief crashed over him and he raked his hand over his face and through his hair, he took a few deep breaths before returning to trying to relocate the signal, he'd need to still warn Gordon being in the area. He still had had no luck by the time Alan announced Thunderbird 4's approach to 2.

"I've lost the signal and there is no trace of it." John updated everyone.

"John, I retrieved a device in the cave system, I had to EMP it to transport it, it was emitting interference to Thunderbird 4 systems." Gordon added.

"FAB. Thanks Gordon Brains and Fermat need to check out the device I have a real bad feeling about this." John responded.

"Understood John I will inform Brains of the situation and as soon as Thunderbird 1 is in operation Brains can be assigned, Fermat can assist Gordon in Thunderbird 4 repairs." Jeff interjected.

"FAB. I'll continue assisting Felicity on this terrorist situation for now." John excused himself out of the current ongoings so he could go back to supporting Felicity.

NOTE - well we are underway to combining the 'Brother Eye' episode and 'Ring of Fire' can you guess where this is going? Next chapter I am planning to be Thunderbirds POV if it all goes to plan. Its nearly there too so close updates if I can.
