Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Chilling Champion. Enjoy the 5300-word chapter. I do not own Pokémon, Nintendo, and a few others.

Mabrey was a very quiet warrior, he acted…. He did not draw attention to himself, he did not constantly bother himself with answers he could not solve. He acted, he floated with the current, slowly yet surely flowing down the current…. All he could do; all he could do?

He did, damn the consequences, damn what came because of it. He looked over to Cynthia whom he laid against, too tired, too exhausted, too unwilling to submit. He was relaxed, he was exhausted for now… He had wished only to do something to end it for this moment.

He would laugh if not for the fact that such a thing would be over… And over it would be.

"You know, I can't for the life of me understand you," Mabrey stated before he sighed and looked, forwards.

"Maybe I like it that way. You do not always know what is going to happen, do you? You go through life, acting like that." Cynthia stated to which Mabrey only rolled his eyes, exhausted for now.

"Oh, you are a very evil woman… A very evil woman, I cannot for the life of me understand how you live with yourself." Mabrey stated, pretending to be wounded by her antics, too exhausted, too thrown off for now. He had been willing to try and deal with it for now, but he paused to try and deal with such an idea.

Mabrey hummed and knew that he could and did NOT seem to judge her for this… For it all, for everything he did, for all, he did and could have done to try and deal with now.

She yawned, wiggling her feet in the grass, pausing only to relax, to let the peace and serenity wash over her. She knew he was teasing her; she knew herself at the end of the day and she could relax now.

And she was amused, not just by herself, but by him. Mabrey had a way of amusing her in his way, she had been able to deal with things.

She could not deal with it; he could not deal with it. Both resolved to find a way, however.

"You know for a fact that there's going to be a lot more attention in this quaint little town when it comes down to it," Mabrey stated as Cynthia hummed.

"I apologize for that," Cynthia stated to which Mabrey hummed.

"Do not, there is always going to be something going on, it is how the town works… There is always going to be something going on, something that makes us all stand out… Do you know why? Because we cannot afford to be left alone, because that would mean not being a tourist location." Mabrey stated to which he sighed.

He did not blame her; he could not blame her… No, he blamed others, plenty of others that he just could not abide by such rules, even then. Even at the end of the road? This would not end until she was told it was going to end in certain waves to let it all relax, hopefully soon now.

Mabrey hummed and looked at the girl who had been a part of his journey in his little way for now as she paused to think of it for now.

She had not been able to deal with it for now. This was something else, she wiggled her toes in the grass and knew that they had been able to relax.

She sighed before she managed to relax, thinking of whatever was going on before she managed to look downwards. She managed to look upwards and into the clouds, as everything started to think of what was going on before she managed to look to the side.

There was a lot more to try. She had not been able to try and deal with it for now.

"You tired all the way to end it for now?" Cynthia asked.

"No, I'm not tired, I just can't keep my eyes open," Mabrey stated.

"I think you are tired," Cynthia stated before she paused to think and then looked down to the ground with amusement.

"I am always tired at the end of the day, Cyn." Cynthia heard Mabrey hum. "You are always going to amuse me," Mabrey stated before he sighed and looked to the side.

He had not been too amused by it. She looked to the side, too interested in the next moment and what he was doing next.

Cynthia hummed and continued to pat her friend on the head while wiggling her toes in the grass. She had no real way to play and she did not want to.

She had not been able to try and figure it out for the moment. She cracked her fingers and tapped a foot on the ground, this was not going to be something.

Every single little moment she made was going to keep pushing her further and further onwards. She was amused by Mabrey and she knew it for now, she knew more and more about what she was doing next.

She was tired, too interested in the next move, she would crack through it like a few little beads of candy. She had not been able to relax, had not been able to cut through it like she had before.

No, she was bored and she was relaxed at the same time. She knew Mabrey was acting like he had always been and that was just too much fun to try and shift through as she knew more and more with each passing moment what would be occurring now.

She had been familiar with their tactics. She had not been able to fathom what was shifting through her skull as she relaxed once again, she had not been able to deal with it.

She was amused and amused always leading more and more to a degree she would not allow from him or anyone at the end of the day. She knew well she could not have relaxed; she would not be able to think of what was growing on her mind as she paused.

Not once more to try and deal with it, for now, she had been able to deal with it until it ended. She had been so high on the idea of not relaxing for now, knowing what would come next as she paused to let it end the moment.

She had been too thrown off to let it all end, she was too relaxed, too unsettled for now as it came down to it.

"You, ok?" Cynthia hummed to let herself pause, thinking only seeming to think for now as she paused to let it end for now.

Cynthia seemed to be dealing with more than him as she paused. She flexed her fingers as her Garchomp slowly lay down in the knee-high grass, Mismagius lying atop the tree next to him.

"Tired. You?" Mabrey stated before he sighed and then looked to the side, knowing what was growing on his mind.

She knew more and more why he worked out here, she had been able to try and deal for now as she paused to let it all end for now as she paused to let it all come spilling out for now.

She laid her feet in the grass, took a massive sniff of the air, and questioned what was going on, knowing what would become of the situation. She knew why he fancied this place even after climbing

She had no recourse, no desire to let this end, simply a desire to understand him. She knew what was coming at the end of the day, knowing what awaited them next. She had zero desire to end it, not when it could be afforded.

No, not once did it change, she had zero desire to let it be ended, zero desire to let it all end. She would listen once.

She had a lot more to desire, a lot of things she could not have dealt with for now. She had been able to think and act as best she could, and that alone would be able to deal with it.

She had been able to relax only for a moment, knowing what would happen for now as she paused to let it all end. Cynthia hummed to let it all end for now as she paused to let it all sink in.

Cynthia hummed, she had been able to think, to act, to understand it. She was tired, too exhausted to let anything end.

To be entirely fair? She knew what was going on, she knew a lot more now, and whatever that would bring for now at the end of the day, not once did it die out when push came to shove.

"You tired, aren't you? Exhausted and unsure why I came here, no? It is a question I get asked all the time." Cynthia said before she sighed and then looked downwards when it came to it.

She knew she was tired; it had been a very damn long day since she had anything to relax about, anything to figure out… Yes. It was quite clear to throw it all aside, she knew more and more despite it all that every damn little thing they had to deal with meant nothing.

There was just too much on her mind at times. Way too much had been lost and way too much time had been spent trying to deal with it. She flicked a strand out of her face and then sighed, looking downwards to the ground once again for now as she hummed once more.

She knew exactly where she stood, she knew that he was going to be dealt with for now as she paused to try and figure out as she paused to try and figure it out as she seemed to be dealt with for now as she paused to think.

She looked to the side as she swept back his hair once again and then looked to the side and she paused to try and figure out what was happening at the end.

She knew what was going to be done… They would look for her, she knew that she would be dealing with a few warriors who were thrown off… This was a lot more chaotic, yet? She had amused which she had dealt with for now.

Cynthia was silent, there was a moment of silence as her Garchomp lay next to her, setting itself into the sand… She knew what was being kept from her and she knew it well enough that she did not at all falter from it.

She would or could fall but she would not do it here or even now. She hummed before she looked to the side.

"You, OK? You look to be tired… There is going to be a lot more to see and to do when this is all over, you know…. We got a lot of work to do now." Byvym stated before he sighed.

It was not a lie; a lie was hard enough to sell now.

Still? She did not at all know as she wiggled her toes in the grass. She did not know what was going on at the end of the day, it was going to be dealt with for now as she paused.

Mabrey seemed to be tired now, knowing what was growing on his mind… It would end eventually and it seemed to be dealt with as she paused to try and figure it out once more.

There was a lot more on her mind as she seemed to click it for now as she knew exactly what was going on… And not once did she waver from that, no. if anything? It pushed her to be beyond what she had been now and for a reason only she could or would know.

He was silent in his way, knowing she had been able to deal with things as best one could. One asked and it was delivered to them, would always be and was always able to be dealt with.

He had been able to try and figure it out when it came down to it as he paused to try and figure it all for now.

Cynthia was able to try and figure it out once more as he sighed to try and deal with it. She looked at Mabrey who was silenced, who lay with his back against the tree, knowing that she was silent and that she could not be dealt with.

Mabrey seemed to think of what was growing on before she seemed too bored.

She looked to the side. Mabrey was silent, crossing his arms as the two began to think of what was going through the mind of the group.

"You good? We have a lot of work left to deal with?" Mabrey stated before he seemed to keep thinking.

Cynthia was able to deal with the amusement in her brain, an amusement that had been circling through her like a rock around a planet. It was amusing to her to know that Mabrey was able to share.

There was always going to be a part of it he did not know, could not know… But her amusement? Priceless, truly priceless, and truly what he could deal with it for now.

Cynthia was able to think and cross her arms before she smirked once more, ruffling his hair, and then fell silent. This was not able to end and be truly amused once more.

Both seemed to watch their Pokémon dance around them, they knew exactly how well it was proceeding, they knew the dangers and the chaos in trying to live their lives… Though, Cynthia lived in it and she knew Mabrey did not often which was why he found it to be the way it could be a certain way.

She and he laughed, finding it more and more amused for now and knowing when it came down to it… She did not wish to ruin this moment; she was able to try and figure it out.

There was a lot more to try and do, a lot more to see and more about it would come to the forefront. She had been able to try and figure it out once more…. Such was something to try and amuse oneself about when they lived a certain way.

All of it simply pushed them further and further until they were able to enjoy it, not at all knowing when they had to die and not wanting anything to come between them when all of it was said and done.

All of it became harder to stomach, harder to see it in any sort of way beyond what was to be intended for them now and for a day once…. They would continue to bring it to the end of the time being.

Cynthia was eager to figure it out now and for good reason…. All of it was too much for now as she wished to think of it once more.

Mabrey was silent. Cynthia? Cynthia was odd when it came crashing to it as of now…. She did not know what would become now at the time being. She would allow it to let it come crashing down to it.

She and he were too eager to get to work when it came crashing down to it. Cynthia was too much for him but she could have done for now.

To be fair? Both had different things on their minds… Much different. All of it? All of it was odder and odder now that they had been torn down at the time.

"You know, eventually YOU might end up being the champion." Mabrey heard as Cynthia twirled some of his hair around one of her fingers as she sighed.

She did not want it to end, not now when it came crashing down. She was too eager to think of what was going on, she did not know what was being done as she paused to figure it out.

"Are you ok?" Cynthia asked to which Mabrey shrugged.

"I am." Mabrey stated before he sighed and then looked downwards before rubbing at his nose. "Second? I like playing against YOU more than being a champion. Me and Maggy have not had a fun battle since then." Cynthia heard as she paused to think of it once more.

"Are you going to be ok with that?" Cynthia asked before she looked to the side. Something about it all came with some mirth.

Cynthia was too eager to get into the next battle for now as Cynthia wiggled her toes in the grass, too interested in the idea for now…. She looked to the side and then tired herself as she wished to think it through.

"You know I won't be." Cynthia heard for Mabrey to fall silent before she wished to relax.

She was too curious about it all for now as she wished to think of it now and for good reason. She did not want it down but she did want to think for the moment.

She looked to the side. All of it became harder and harder to imagine when it came crashing to the ground.

Both did not care much for the fame on top of it now and for good reason. She wished to fight but she did not want it to be spinning into the corner now and for good reason as she wished it for now.

Such was life, for now, such was fun when it came crashing as of the time being, too interested now… They would relax, and they would always relax at the time being. Then for good reason at the time being.

Such was fun when it seemed to be interested in it all. Then and there? They had a lot more to try and figure out as she tried to be done and dusted.

Cynthia was able to try and think of it growing more to be as she wanted to think of it all. She thought of what was growing now before she seemed to relax for now.

Cynthia was all too thrown off before she thought of what was growing while she thought of it.

Still? She did not know Mabrey, she wanted to and she found joy in trying to… One which most people were eager to think of it all for now, something about this sort of thing just made her amused now, and for good reason.

Mabrey looked at the champion as their Pokémon settled in around them… Both were eager to think of it all now, Cynthia sighed to herself before she thought of it all when he managed to think of it all.

She did not at all think of it all when it was going on before she relaxed once more as she clicked her fingers against her.

Cynthia hummed and poked at her hair and then shook Mabrey's hair playfully as he hummed to the attempt and then looked at her.

"Your Mismagius was strong, did you train her all the time?" Cynthia hummed before she thought of everything.

Mabrey hummed, thinking of it. The Pokémon seemed to sense his emotion and floated closer, letting Mabrey ruffle her head as she settled in, resting rather than floating on empty air.

The Pokémon always amused him as he knew she of all Pokémon was…. Odd, very odd. She had power, sure… But she was a very loyal Pokémon and he loved Maggie dearly as a companion.

"Yep. Why? You train your Garchomp up to this level?" Cynthia heard as she tapped her feet on the ground.

She hummed to herself, thinking of it all… She did not want it over; she did not want to question herself but she did.

"I have. You care about your Pokémon now; she is much more powerful." Cynthia stated before she sighed to herself.

Cynthia seemed to be thinking of it all when she was able to think of it all now.

She was able to think of it all when he clashed with everyone else as she thought of it all when they had been done with it. Cynthia seemed to relax, too interested in what was growing on her mind.

She was the champion and she wished it to be done… She wished it to be different. She was all too interested in the next idea, for now, something about it all came crashing down, something about it all was amusing her.

Cynthia could not put her finger on WHAT but it was clear something was amusing her now and for good reason.

All that had to be done would be done at that point, something about it all became harder and harder to figure out now, and for good reason.

All of it was harder and harder to think of it all before he relaxed. Something within it all had been harder and harder to figure out now.

Something within it all was more and more a hard thing to handle. It was not something to have been done now… Cynthia almost laughed at the idea as Mabrey adjusted his seat.

"Do you ever get tired of coming out here?" Cynthia asked him more than anyone else.

Mabrey was silent, why? He had known exactly how it was and he had no desire to end it the same way.

Something within him almost broke entirely. Now? Now he had no real desire to leave. He enjoyed being here, enjoyed being able to relax. His fate was something else, something that he did not much care about.

Granted? Both were on the way to progress… It had been something that he had not been able to think of it all now.

Cynthia was at the end of the day, something about today had amused her more than usual. Granted, she had not been able to relax.

Granted? She had not been here long… It was not something that needed to be done, not yet.

No, he was an odd little warrior. One sort of thing about her was simple bliss, something about it all had been harder and harder to understand… Now? Now they held no real idea on it all and for a good reason.

Something about it all almost made her want to laugh… But she would not, she would have to figure it out as of now.

They had a lot more to deal with for now. Something which had been harder and harder to think of it all.

Cynthia seemed to be relaxing for now, tapping her friend on the head, pausing to think only of the future. They had something else to relax upon for now.

Cynthia poked him in the side, something which he held to be amusing for now… An idea which had been hard and harder to deal with.

She still found it all amusing, she still found it exciting now when they managed to think of it the right way.

She would laugh if nothing else… Something which almost made him laugh as she poked at his hair one final time, both resting against the tree as she hummed to herself before she relaxed.

Both had been too interested in it all before now, they had been sorting through it all slowly… Slowly and surely would they have relaxed, something which could not have been dealt with easily.

Something within her almost made her laugh. She would not be able to manage it for now, not now. she would only laugh as it came down to it.

Cynthia seemed to think of it more and more as if it was a game and more and more as if it had been too distracted from what had been done now to fix it. All of them were tiresome now and for a good reason.

SOMETHING was coming, something that needed to end and would end… It was a chaotic little ending now and a madness within which drove them towards this way.

She was oddly too distracted from it… Because he? He knew better than her when it came crashing to the end.

Cynthia was never this docile. She was too hard to deal with for now… There were a lot of different ideas as to how it would have occurred.

To be fair? There were a lot of things left which need to be ended…. It was a lot of things, a lot of ideas, a lot more than it needs to be.

They had a lot more to deal with, they had a lot more to try and figure out. They had a lot more to try and deal with for now…. It was harder and harder to think of it… They had more within them.

She and he were too interested in it all as they had to think of it for now, they had a lot more to try and deal with. They had something else to relax for now… Cynthia was aware of how it would go.

Cynthia knew more with each second Mabrey would need to go. Instead? Here it became harder for the end.

They had a lot more to try and deal with as both prepared to walk down the hill. They had a lot more to try and deal with what had to be a VERY long road at the end of the day.

There were a lot of different ideas at the end of it all as they relaxed for now… Something which had to try and deal with.

Both were too interested in it all before she thought of it.

"How long do you intend to stay here?" Cynthia asked before they looked to the ground.

There was a lot more to this…. They had a lot of things to deal with. She knew better, she knew far better than she ever could at the end of it how to say and how to act. The more obvious the answer? The odder and odder the antic… And it was clear.

They had a lot more to try and deal with for now… It was a clear-cut antic that they had to try and deal with. The more antics they attempted? The more time they would spend sooner or later.

It was all a matter of it all having to try and deal with the antic as they thought of it differently… This was a hard little thing to deal with for now… It was a hard pill to swallow.

Cynthia seemed to think of it all as a small little pill that had to try and end.

But she? She was too much more to deal with for now as they thought of as they managed to talk through it.

Cynthia was curious as to how it would end for now and for a good reason.

They did not need to deal with it for now. She paused and then thought of what was occurring for now and then thought of what was occurring as she wished to be dealt with for now.

Cynthia seemed to be dealt with for now… She was too dealt with now as she paused to understand for now.

Something at the end of it all before they relaxed… Something about it all had been amusing now.

She paused, too transpired with every single little thing now… All of it? All had been more than enough.

Now? Now they had zero idea as to how it could have been like this now and for good reason… Now? Now she had been bored and that would not stand, it was all too boring now.

She hummed and looked to the side, each little idea she had was going to be dashed, and each little message they had to deal with? It was more than they had envisioned.

"You are ok and good?" Mabrey asked as he raised an eyebrow, pausing to think of what was occurring now.

She did not know how to answer, she did not wish to answer now when it came down to it… Now? Now at the end of the day. It was going to be a nightmare when she had been dealt with now and it had been more than she wished.

Something about it all had been more than needed now… She found comfort in her friend and comfort in all around her.

She had been too disturbed by it all now. Something about it all had been too much… Far too much now and for a good reason.

"I want to stay here… A bit longer if that is good?" Cynthia stated, swirling a lock of his hair around her finger.

It had been so long since she stretched her feet… Gotten to relax, all of it had been more she had been allowed such peace… Something far being what she had wished to deal with now and for a good reason.

Now? Now she had no idea… Mabrey had been kind to her but kindness could only last so long it seemed… Otherwise? How was she to deal with every single little deal she had to deal with now?

Now? Something about it all had to be dealt with for now… She had been too done and dusted… She paused to think of it all before now… Now? She had no real idea and it would have been easily wrong and in so many ways.

Granted? They were dealing with sheer insanity… But one could not mix up both now… It was within the insanity that they had more and more left to lose now.

It was more than something she could have understood now and for a good reason… Something about it all had been more than again. They were worth more to be done now.

Cynthia took a deep breath before she relaxed to try and think of what was growing on her mind before she looked to the side and then there was more to deal with for now.

They had a lot more to deal with, she knew that of all things? What came next was not easy.

Mabrey being himself? Barely moved, he had been busy fighting and training his Pokémon for a battle… At the last? He decided to relax until it was night.

That? And as odd as it was to hang out with Cynthia? He knew that there was a lot to talk about, the champion and he had rarely if ever talked about anything when it came down to it.

There were a lot of things left to deal with for now at the time being… She had a lot more left to deal with than him and it was clear at the end of the day. That Cynthia needed to relax as much as anyone would.

"So, do you have any plans besides sitting on top of a mountain and thinking about everyone you have to beat to try and keep the title? Must get exhausting." Mabrey joked, tired for now.

Then again? As a friend? He knew better than to ask this. It was a part of her life to keep fighting to be a champion. She knew no disgrace over such a thing and knew better than to find anything so simple so challenging for now.

They had a lot of things left to take care of and this was one of them, had to end sometime he supposed as Cynthia tapped her foot one last time upon the ground, deep in thought.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be showing more and more about Cynthia and Mabrey, until the 900–6500-word chapter, Lighting Wolf Out!
