Chapter One.
Ella O'Brien moved out of the country and she came over by plane with all of her belongings and her paintings over to Prague. She now lives in an apartment complex some where in Europe near to where the auctions for art paintings and antiques were being held at. She loves doing paintings of the landscapes, flowers, scenery, family portraits and the people of her close family and friends all over the world. Even though, back in New York, she was being betrayed by her friends and especially her former boy friend.
They stole most of her paintings and they sold her art for themselves for tens of thousands of dollars. Ella just could not believe that they had done this to her. She had a wall filled with her paintings all around her place when she lived in Manhattan, New York City right near the art Galas and Museums where she also donates her paintings. Ella never spoke to her then boyfriend any more and he went to prison for extortion and forgery after what he had done to her. It broke her heart right there and then.
Ella had a heart transplant two and a half years back. She had a heart condition before she had her surgery. Her mother, Cecelia died from child birth after she gave birth to Ella. Her father, George died shortly after she passed away. He died of a heart break. Ella's parents were soul mates. O'Brien's Grand mother on her mother's side had always blamed her for her parents' death. Even the rest of her family blamed her and they decided to cut her off by disowning her. Ella felt very sad and alone after the fact. She knew that she never did any thing wrong.
So, she went to college and after she graduated, she went to graduate school when she majored in art and paintings in New York. And she was very well known for her paintings and she became famous. When every one in her family, her former boy friend and her so called friends found out that she was making so much more money, they tried to talk her in to giving them some money. Ella respectfully declined. She knew that they went after her for the money. It was a good thing that she got away from the New York family drama.
She destroyed the tracking devices by using her carpenter's hammer that she uses to build her tables, shelves and other wood work that she also does on her free time when she does not do her paintings at times. Ella smashed the devices in her car so that her so called friends and former boy friend placed them in to her car and in her apartment in New York before she packed all of her things and what was left of her paintings and moved over to Europe. It is better economy over there in Europe to seriously tell the truth.
After she moved to another county in Prague, Ella had bought a good size one bedroom apartment for a good decent price a month. She paid fifteen thousand kroner. Meaning six hundred euros a month's rent. Look it up.
One early day in the afternoon, Ella was at an auction gala and she sat down in one of the chairs towards the front in the large room. Before she walked in to the back room where they had the paintings and other antique collectables getting ready for the event, Ella gave Mr. Lambert her name before she gave him the three of her paintings to be put up for auction. Mr. Lambert gave her a smile and a curt nod and he told her thank you before he walked over to Virgil Oldman, who happened to be the owner of Oldman's.
Virgil Oldman was looking at a painting that took place in the seventeenth century and he knew the differences in between a fake and copied forged painting to a real genuine authentic painting. When Mr. Lambert told him and Lambert gave Oldman one of Ella's paintings, Virgil looked up from the paintings at his assistant. But he did not see Ella there. He was too focused on the painting by a person who famously did it. "Lambert, if I may ask." Oldman said when he gave one of the workers the painting that was authentic.
Lambert gave Virgil one of Ella's paintings and he looked down to O'Brien's one painting. "Who did these paintings? This person did a really marvelous work indeed." He asked him. "The landscaping of the land with the trees in the back ground. It's really good." He said as he showed his assistant the picture. "A long with the family of seven right in front of their home is magnificent. Who is this person who did this painting?" Oldman asked him.
Virgil's assistant turned to where Ella O'Brien was at and he gestured her to come to where Oldman was at. "This is the woman, who painted this magnificent picture." Lambert told his boss.
Oldman looked up from her one painting and he looked her straight in the eyes. To him, Ella was down right beautiful with her blonde brown hair with her turquoise eyes. Virgil could not take his eyes off of Ella. "I will need the rest of Miss O'Brien's paintings you have there, Lambert." Virgil said when he turned his head to his assistant, who gave the two more of her paintings to be donated to an auction, before he walked over to another antique. "I thank you, Miss O'Brien. We will give you what you need after the auction." He said with the nod of his head.
Ella gave him a respectful nod. "You're very welcome, Mr. Oldman." She said softly with a tender smile before turned around and she went out of the back room. She walked in to the large room to go sit down in the chair and she waited for the auction to start. O'Brien wondered how much money her paintings would be when some one wants to buy one. We shall see and find out.
