"Come on, it will be fun!" Toxinelle tugged on Claw's hand as they waited in line for the Dragon Ride. "Are you sure?" Claw gave a nervous gulp. "It looks so high up!" "Your not scared, are you?" Claw played with tail. "No," he mumbled, but inside he quaked like jelly. Oh, well. If anything did go wrong, his partner would save him. He hoped.

They were at a Lunar New Years celebration, and there were dragons everywhere. On the lanterns, on the money, there had even been a kite dragon contest in the afternoon!

The line inched forward, and all Claw wanted was a Dragon Doughnut. But here he was, stuck with Toxinelle. At last, they boarded the dragon, and Claw thought it seemed a bit warm. "Hey, Cockroach, do you-"

Claw never got to finish his sentence, as the dragon took off into the sky! Claw groaned. He knew it had been a real dragon! "Cockroach, I'm scared of heights!" He wailed, his voice getting lost in the wind.

At least when they ran on buildings, there was always something solid to grasp. "Cool!" his partner yelled. "Do you think it will breathe fire?" Oh, cheese and crackers, he hadn't even thought of fire breath!

The dragon whipped his tail suddenly, and Claw screamed in alarm. But no, the dragon was kind, placing Claw next to his partner so he could enjoy the view. Toxinelle's face was still sour, but she held out a hand. "Will this help?" Claw nodded, gripping her hand tightly.

Slowly, Claw relaxed as the dragon soared up into the clouds. What a ride this was, what fun they had!

Just as the ride started, the ride ended, and dragon let them off landing on the ground with a gentle bump…

"Claw! Claw!" Toxinelle nudged her partner, and Claw woke with a start. "Patrol's over, ready to head over to the festival?" Claw blinked. It had all been a dream? "Do you think they'll be a dragon?" he whispered. Toxinelle rolled her eyes. "Come on."

Claw would never forget the dream or the day when he rode a dragon, on New Lunar Eve.
