Chapter 2 -
Lulu took a shower as soon as they finished making love, it left them both feeling complete and whole. Johnny heard the washer ding and went back into the kitchen, opening the closet doors that the washer and dryer were placed in.
"Do you just…put them in the dryer and go? What about the buttons? Does speed matter?" Johnny mutters to himself, staring at the machine, shaking his head.
"Oh, you poor baby." Lulu smirked, towel drying her hair, walking towards him.
"Hopeless." Johnny nodded, allowing his eyes to glance over her body. Lulu was wearing one of Johnny's shirts, because she only had the clothes that Claudia had given her.
"Tomorrow we'll take you shopping, because as much as I enjoy you like this…I know you want some clothes. If Claudia has taught me anything, it's that clothes are very important to a woman." Johnny chuckled, running a hand through her hair.
"Clothes would be nice, I'd be fine if I never saw another pair of scrubs again." Lulu smiled at him, giving Johnny a kiss on the lips.
"I thought I was doing the right thing by taking you there." Johnny sighs, cupping her face in his hands.
"Don't blame yourself, nobody could have known that this would happen. Besides, I'm here now. We can finally just focus on us and not worry about Logan. I know that Claudia will find out who did this." Lulu assures him, she didn't want him to feel guilty.
"Let's eat, I know you need it." Johnny put an arm around her waist, they grabbed their food and went to the bedroom to eat.
Back in Port Charles the staff at Shadybrooke had finally realized that Lulu had escaped, they didn't know how she did it because on their record she hadn't had any visitors today.
"How could you let this happen?" Nikolas Cassadine growled, talking to the doctor with Lucky Spencer by his side.
"Nik, you know as much as I do that our sister is healed. They can't keep someone here that is well, that's not the purpose of Shadybrooke. I've seen the reports, let it go." Lucky rubbed his temples, he was sick of arguing.
"She's going to relapse just like our mother-" Nikolas started but Lucky held up his hand to silence his brother.
"I've heard enough. I am Lulu's guardian and I would like to sign the paperwork to remove myself, my sister is capable of making her own choices." Lucky ignored his brother, talking to the doctor.
"Mr. Spencer, I don't think that's wise." The doctor lied through her teeth.
"I'm the one in charge, not both of you. I'm starting to think Nikolas had everything to do with this. It's wrong. Get me the paperwork before I have to call a lawyer." Lucky crossed his arms, as much as he didn't like Johnny…it was Lulu's choice.
"Fine. This is on you." The doctor glowers at him, before going to get the paperwork.
"You're allowing your feelings to cloud your judgment." Nikolas scoffed.
"Ever since Emily died you've allowed your own feelings to run you, if anyone needs help it's you." Lucky scoffed, Nikolas was being a complete hypocrite.
"You're going to regret this." Nikolas stormed out of Shadybrooke.
"I'm too tired to deal with this bullshit." Lucky says, signing off on the paperwork and promptly going home. Lucky dialed a number he never thought he would but, desperate time calls for desperate measures.
"Detective Spencer?" Came Claudia's voice from the other line.
"I think Nikolas had something to do with the way Shadybrooke treated Lulu. He's acting really weird. I removed myself as Lulu's guardian and I thought he was going to throw a fit." Lucky didn't waste time with hello, he knew the cops would just brush his concerns off. He needed someone who wasn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
"I'd thought about him as a possibility too, I had just hoped I was wrong. Listen, I'm the one who broke Lulu out. She's safe, don't worry." Claudia knew that even if he didn't say it, he was worried about his sister.
"Thank you for telling me and keeping her safe. I want in on your mission, I need to know what happened and why. The cops aren't going to touch this." Lucky really hoped she wouldn't cut him out.
"If it were John, I would want the same thing. I'll call you in the morning, we have a lot of work to do."
"Can we really trust lucky?" Ric Lansing questions Claudia, knowing that was who called.
"What I say goes, you're not the boss of me." Claudia shot back at him.
"He is a cop." Ric wagers.
"It's his sister, I can't cut him out of this. He gave me our first solid clue, he knows the risks. Why don't you sit down and shut up?" Claudia was clearly getting annoyed, didn't he trust her?
"Things are going to get ugly." Ric warned her, leaving the house.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
