A/N: Here's the tenth chapter of Poké Rangers Sinnoh! Time to have some fun!
Previously on Poké Rangers Dino Charge…
The rangers learn about the Old Amber fossil's disappearance as well as the Aerodactyl causing chaos in Floaroma Town. Understanding that they also need a power source, the rangers head to Valley Windworks, only to learn Mimazer had a plan to trap them in a dimension. It was needed just in time for Shockhound to power up his weapon: The Aerodactyl Zord. The question is, what was that thing inside him when he tried to charge it? Guess we will find out this chapter!
Shockhound was walking along Route 205. He was angry and annoyed after Aerodactyl left. Ferro Fett wasn't happy that Mimazer didn't destroy the rangers nor stole their Energy Crystals, but at least Aerodactyl was a force to be reckoned with. Gircannon's idea to use Aerodactyl was probably the smartest idea, if anything. Shockhound did not know what to expect from this point. Gircannon said it was a gift. He looked up as he turned to a boulder. Shockhound grabbed his weapon as he gripped the handle. A yellow aura surrounded it as he slashed the boulder. The boulder split in half as he stood there angrily.
"I see my boss was helpful," a voice said.
Shockhound turned around, noticing Ferro Fett. Ferro Fett walked over as he looked at him, "You are… an amazing warrior."
"I could've destroyed those rangers if that monster didn't grow," said Shockhound.
"Patience, Shockhound. Gircannon told me that you need to continue to maximize Aerodactyl's true potential," said Ferro Fett.
"True potential?" asked Shockhound.
Ferro Fett grinned, "There's more to Aerodactyl. Come, we are going to use it for something fun!"
Shockhound grinned a little as he walked with Ferro Fett back to the ship. Ferro Fett had a very good idea.
Meanwhile…
A good five hours passed since the destruction of Mimazer. The rangers turned around to see Drake, who was sitting with them. Drake shook his head as he went to speak, "As you can see, Aerodactyl has a powerful attack. With that much power, it can wipe out a whole entire city within seconds."
Joe turned around as he looked at it, "So, if that is true, we should probably cease it before Sinnoh becomes a barren wasteland."
"I'm more curious about who is using it," said Atticus, "Shockhound?"
Grayson and Lisa looked at each other as they turned to Atticus. Lisa looked at Atticus as she went to speak, "That is a possibility. We both saw that he was experimenting with the Old Amber. It wouldn't surprise me if he combined the energy crystal with whatever he used."
"With that much power, Aerodactyl could even wipe out a whole region, probably more," said Grayson, "Granted, with more power, it could do almost what happened in Hoenn a few months ago when something mysterious wiped all of the Hoenn Rangers' zords."
"And unlike them, we are only one team in Sinnoh…," said Leona, turning around, "But, I am sure we can figure it out."
"Can we get back to Shockhound?" asked Atticus, looking at Leona. The red ranger turned around as the blue ranger continued, "How in the world would he able to fuse with Aerodactyl? More importantly how did he get the crystal in the first place?"
"Well, that's what I am wondering. Only humans can bond with them. It was made specifically for humans to bond with those crystals," said Drake.
Drake walked over as he went to continue, "When the crystals were given to be protected, the King and Queen of the Dinosaur Kingdom said that only those ten crystals can be bonded with humans of valor. People like yourselves that will protect the world. Obviously, those crystals have more meaning. But, the five of you plus Kyland are the only ones that have one. Shockhound must have one to pilot Aerodactyl. How he got it is a mystery."
"Especially, if someone was trying to break out," said Grayson.
Drake looked at Grayson when he said it. Drake scratched his head as he looked at him. Grayson brought up a valid point, seeing he and Lisa were able to see what was going on. Immediately, red lights surrounded the area as the alarm went off. Drake turned around as he looked at the table. The rangers looked over as the Aerodactyl Zord started shooting down Jubilife City.
"Are you kidding me?" asked Leona, "Jubilife City has been damaged way too long. Let's go give him a piece of our mind."
The other rangers nodded as they went to leave. As they disappeared using their blasters, Drake walked over as he headed to a corner. A black chest appeared with blue stripes as he opened it. A black and navy saber appeared with a crystal like saber. The saber was sapphire as it was shining.
"Time to give Shockhound a piece of my mind… and solve this mystery," said Drake.
Drake turned around as he reached his Dino Com, "Roark, please come to Dino Paradise."
Chapter 10: Aerodactyl's Appearance
Aerodactyl swooped around Jubilife City, shooting purple and black energy beams. Buildings exploded as Aerodactyl screamed, landing on the ground. Aerodactyl opened its mouth as a blue ring appeared, destroying a few buildings in the area. Shockhound laughed as he hopped out of the Aerodactyl. Turning around to see cars, he took out his saber and slashed a few of the cars, making them explode. He turned around as he looked at more of the people, running around.
"Run, all you want, vermin! Aerodactyl is going to annihilate you!"
He turned around as he saw a few Pokémon Trainers with their Poké Balls.
"Hahahaha, you plan on challenging me? Send 'em out!"
Two Pokémon Trainers threw their Poké Balls, releasing a Dragonite and Gallade. Landing on the ground, the two Pokémon went to strike. Dragonite released a Hyper Beam attack while Gallade released a Psybeam. Shockhound used his saber to block. A yellow aura surrounded the saber as it created a barrier. Two beams of energy struck the Pokémon as they landed on the ground. He laughed as he noticed the two of them on the ground, fainted.
"Pokémon can't destroy me," he said.
"Yeah, but we can!"
Turning around, the trainers and Shockhound noticed that Leona and the others started running toward them. Leona jumped up as she threw Shockhound to the floor. Shockhound went to strike only for Joe to shoot him in the back with his Fossil Blaster. As Shockhound went to finish off, Grayson slashed him with his Fossil Blaster. Lisa turned around as she kicked him to the ground. Atticus grabbed him by the neck as he tried to rip off his face. Shockhound turned around as he released a yellow electric pulse, electrocuting him. Atticus landed on the ground as he looked at him, "How dare you try to pull my face?"
"Who are you really, Shockhound?" asked Atticus.
"Huh?" he asked.
"We're on to you…," said Leona, "We know about your little plot."
"Who was that guy inside you Shockhound?" asked Grayson.
Immediately, Shockhound froze as Grayson aimed his saber. Shockhound turned around as he looked at him, "I don't know what you're talking about."
Suddenly, a blue light appeared near Grayson. Grayson turned around as Drake arrived with his sword, "Shockhound, it's time we finish this."
"Drake…," he said, laughing, "Oh, Drake. It's been way too long."
"Drake, what are you doing here?" asked Leona.
"To finish him," said Drake, looking at Shockhound, drawing his saber toward him, "Stop Shockhound and retrieve the energy crystal."
Leona nodded as she stepped forward, "Let's Poké Battle!"
The rangers stood together as they received their Fossil Chargers, "Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Activating their Fossil Chargers, the rangers did a little dance with their Fossil Blasters. Inserting the Fossil Chargers in the Fossil Blasters, the rangers held up their weapons.
Fossil Chargers, Energize!
Spinning the Fossil Blasters, the rangers stretched their weapons to the sky, "Unleash the Power!"
Bursts of red, black, blue, green and pink energy shot out as their Prehistoric Pokémon transformed into their suits. The rangers struck out their Fossil Blasters as they dragged it across their right arm.
"Dino Armor, engage!"
Immediately, their Dino Armor materialized with their individual weapons. The five rangers posed with their weapons and then headed straight for Shockhound. Shockhound grinned as he withdrew his saber. He blocked an attack from Grayson and then turned around to strike Joe. As Joe was hit by the force of the saber, Atticus sidekicked Shockhound in the face. Shockhound turned around as he spun around, slashing the blue ranger. Atticus spun around as he landed on the ground, his face on the concrete. Lisa and Leona jumped up as they went to strike with their weapons. Shockhound used his blade to create a thunder barrier. A yellow lightning barrier blocked the team from striking. Shockhound laughed as the red and pink ranger landed on the pavement. The five rangers continued with their battle as Shockhound slashed all of them in the face.
"The five of you think you can stop me… I am just warming up," said Shockhound.
"Okay, Shockhound," said Leona, getting up, "Let's give him a taste of his own medicine!"
Meanwhile…
Creamelia and Maracturne were sitting down at the bridge, watching the viewscreen. Enjoying a bag of popcorn and sugary treats, the two villains were excited to see Shockhound rough the rangers into smithereens. As their eyes were glued to the screen, Turnchou walked in as he looked at them.
"What's going on? Oh…," said Turnchou.
"I don't know what Shockhound got but his power has increased, knocking the rangers down!" said Maracturne.
"Yes," said Creamelia, looking at Turnchou, "I wish Ferro Fett were here to see it. The energy he has been housing has really helped."
"As long as the Energy Crystals are mine that is all that matters!"
The three villains looked up in shock as Ferro Fett stood on the bridge floor. Ferro Fett walked toward the captain's chair, "Just wait till you see what we had to do."
Meanwhile…
"Quintuple Blast!"
The rangers used their Fossil Chargers and placed them in the blaster, releasing five beams of light. As the lights combined, Shockhound laughed as he used his saber to block it. A yellow-golden aura surrounded it as he stabbed the ground, creating an electrified wall. The blasts exploded around them as the rangers landed on the ground. As Leona landed on the ground, she looked up to see the Aerodactyl shooting down the area. Leona turned around as she looked at the others, "We need to save the people before Aerodactyl knocks more of the city to the ground!"
She turned around as she quickly got up from the ground, "Lisa, Grayson… can you try to clear the floor?"
Lisa nodded as she rubbed the back of her helmet, "Sure thing, Leona."
"You got it," said Grayson.
"Joe, Atticus… let's do this!"
"You got it," said Joe, stretching. He went to help Atticus out as the three rangers stood with their Fossil Chargers.
"Tyrantrum…"
"Armaldo…"
"Carracosta…"
"I Choose You!"
Activating their Fossil Chargers and throwing them in the air, flashes of red, black and blue energy beams surrounded the chargers as their zords arrived. Aerodactyl swung across, attacking Tyrantrum. Tyrantrum tried to smack it across with its tail. Aerodactyl roared as purple blasts of energy surrounded his mouth, shooting down Tyrantrum. Turning around, Armaldo slashed Aerodactyl's right wing. Carracosta released a few rocks, knocking Aerodactyl down.
While the battle was continuing on, Grayson and Lisa went into each home, evacuating the civilians to different locations. Lisa turned around, seeing that some of the police were already helping. With a big city like Jubilife, two rangers couldn't clear it by themselves. Lisa and Grayson were heading around the corner, hearing screams nearby. Lisa and Grayson dashed over as they looked closer. One building collapsed and there were hands out of the debris, calling for help. Immediately, Grayson and Lisa went to dig the debris with their hands. As the debris began to empty, a few people and some of their Pokémon were injured.
"You're safe, everyone! Run to the nearest exit and don't stop!" said Lisa.
Everyone bolted out as quickly as they could. Grayson turned around as he looked at Lisa, "That was everybody."
He looked up as he noticed the Tyrantrum Zord getting pummeled by the Aerodactyl Zord, "Wow, that zord is a hot mess!"
"Look out!" shouted Lisa, pulling Grayson away just for the Armaldo Zord to land on the building they just cleared. Explosions and earthquakes shudder as Armaldo started crying in pain. The two rangers headed toward the others, who were getting pummeled by Shockhound. As Shockhound laughed, he turned around as he looked at them, "Now, you are going to-."
POW!
Blue beams shot across as he was hit. Turning around, he saw Drake walking toward them with his saber, "How dare you use a Fossil of Justice for your own reign."
"At least I have an Energy Crystal for Ferro Fett! When I kill your friends Drake, I will make sure their energy crystals you tried to protect go to the right person… right person meaning Ferro Fett… oh and… Gircannon?"
"Gircannon?" asked the rangers, except Joe and Leona.
"We won't allow that!" shouted Joe, taking out his Armaldo Blaster. Shooting black beams, Shockhound blocked the attack. He headed straight toward Joe with his weapon. Joe dodged as he went to fight back. Turning around, Shockhound went to stab him in the face. However, before he could, he felt his face get punched by the Tyrantrum Fang. Landing on the ground, Leona placed her Fossil Charger in the Tyrantrum Fang. A red aura surrounded it as she charged through.
"Iron Head!"
Smacking her weapon into Shockhound's face, half of the face began to crack as it exploded. Leona froze as she looked. The other rangers stood in shock as Shockhound stood. He noticed half of his face on the ground with skin exposed. It was beige with red lines of blood down his lips. He had green eyes with brown hair sticking out. Drake knew who it was.
"Mack…, it can't be!" he shouted.
"Aerodactyl, Aerodynamic Change!"
The Aerodactyl screamed as it swooped down. A purple aura surrounded the zord as it landed on the ground. The legs went from being bent to straight as the body was lifted. The wings folded into either side of its body as the body was now standing as a human body. The hands detached from the wings as golden arms grew out. The hands connected to the body as the head moved down to the chest. A human head appeared with a silver and black helmet that had an Amber Fossil on top. The head had red eyes.
"Aero Amber Megazord… Hyper Beam!"
Golden and purple energy came out of the Aero Amber Megazord, releasing an amber energy beam. The rangers and Drake dodged as anything within a five-mile radius exploded in flames. Buildings and power lines were demolished.
"That much power?" asked Lisa, looking at it.
"How are we going to stop something that powerful with three zords alone?" asked Grayson, turning to the others.
"Joe, Atticus!" shouted Leona.
"Right!" shouted the guys.
"Tri-Fossil Fusion!"
Immediately, Tyrantrum opened its mouth. Blue and black energy surrounded Armaldo and Carracosta as Tyrantrum ingested the energy. A red aura surrounded the Tyrantrum as the legs began to rise higher, seeing robotic feet. The Tyrantrum Zord roared as the upper body rotated, leaving the tail to be the left side and the head of the zord on the right. The Carracosta and Armaldo jumped up. Carracosta shrunk its head, arms, legs into the shell. The tail transformed into the right hand of the Megazord. The Armaldo Zord jumped up as it folded its arms and legs. The tail turned into a sharp edge nozzle. The head of the zord connected to the other part of the Tyrantrum. It was a silver head with a red helmet that looked like a Tyrantrum helmet. Green eyes glowed as it started jumping. The five rangers got into the cockpit. The cockpit was the same, except the back of the cockpit had lit up blue shields in the background.
"Dino Armor Megazord, Battle Ready!"
Shockhound grinned as he jumped into the Aero Amber Megazord cockpit. The Aero Amber Megazord cockpit was similar to the others, except it was black with purple lightning bolts. Shockhound grabbed his saber as he struck it out, "Iron Slash!"
The Aero Amber Megazord slashed the Dino Armor Megazord. As sparks flew out the first strike, it came for a second. Quickly, the Carracosta Shield blocked it as the Armaldo arm started shooting bullets. Immediately, black pulses shot out as the Aero Amber Megazord was hit.
"Nothing but a scratch," said Shockhound, pressing a few buttons, "Thunder Punch!"
Clenching its fist, yellow bolts struck the Megazord as the rangers were hit. The rangers held on as the Aero Amber Megazord opened its mouth.
"Aeroblast!"
Opening its mouth, a white beam of energy shot out, causing explosions to surround the Megazord. The rangers landed on the cockpit floor as the Megazord started to flip toward the ground. Upon impact, the Dino Armor Megazord crashed into a pile of multiple buildings. Explosions surrounded the area. As the rangers held on, the Aero Amber Megazord began to glow in a golden, purple aura.
"Now…," he said, laughing as he turned around, "The finish-AH!"
A golden aura surrounded his body as he covered his face. Golden energy surrounded him as he screamed. A purple aura surrounded the Aero Amber Megazord as it transformed back into Aerodactyl, flying low and away.
"Track him!" said Leona.
Grayson and Lisa nodded as they looked at each other. Escaping the cockpit, the rangers got on their Cyclizars, following that direction. Joe turned around as he looked at Leona, "This is some serious business we're dealing with."
"Yeah, we almost got clobbered by Shockhound… and he's human?" Atticus asked, turning to Leona. Leona froze as she looked at the screen. Joe turned to wave his hand as he looked at her, "You look really out of it."
"Oh… nothing. I may have seen him before… but, I don't know," she said.
Meanwhile…
"SO CLOSE!" shouted Ferro Fett, "That Aero Amber Megazord could've had those zords for dinner!"
Turnchou turned around as he looked at him, "Sadly, he's out of power. But, something's a miss."
"What do you mean?" asked Ferro Fett, looking at Turnchou, "Gircannon said that the Aerodactyl should automatically return here. At least, that's what it's supposed to do."
Turnchou turned around as he looked at Ferro Fett, "There is a disturbance in the energy crystal that he gave him. It's causing Aerodactyl to go somewhere else."
He turned around as he looked at the screen. As he turned to see Route 204, Ferro Fett watched as the Aerodactyl Zord was swooping over the area. Below the Aerodactyl Zord, just ten miles, Grayson and Lisa were shown driving on the camera.
"It looks like the rangers are tracking him," said Ferro Fett, "I don't want them to track it down. Luckily, my boss sent me a gift to help us."
"Gift?" asked Turnchou, looking at Ferro Fett. His voice sounded confused as Ferro Fett went to the captain's chair, pressing the button, "Attention Mega Mooks, please report for transport. Be armed."
He turned around as he looked at Turnchou, "My Mooks couldn't handle them. Maybe my Mega Mooks will."
Back at Dino Paradise…
About an hour has passed since the destruction of Jubilife City. There were fire departments from other towns that arrived to help put out the flames but still there was no available help to treat injuries. The destruction Aerodactyl laid out was borederline catastrophic, evidently deadly to those. Many residents planned on leaving the region, according to the news reports that mentioned what happened. It also made national news today when there was non-stop footage of what was going on. Drake sat down as he shook his head. He turned to Leona and the others as they were treated for injuries. Leona had a bandage on her head, nothing too superficial. Atticus had a few bandages on his arm, but nothing crazy. Joe had white medical tape diagonally down his chest as he went to put his shirt back on. He turned to Drake as he stood silently. Roark was also present, as he went to speak.
"So, that Aerodactyl is no ordinary Aerodactyl," said Roark, looking at him, "It was just like the other zords that had the Energy Crystal. When the Prehistoric Pokémon were fossilized by a meteor strike, everyone managed to be fossilized, except Aerodactyl. Even though they took the Old Amber to channel it, the DNA doesn't match the zord."
"Wait… you mean…," said Joe, "I don't get it."
Drake turned around, "When I gave the energy crystals to the ten Prehistoric Pokémon, the energy crystals bond with them. Their DNA exists in the fossil. When you bonded with the crystal, your DNA and the Pokémon DNA are all identified in that crystal. The Old Amber Shockhound had never matched the DNA to Aerodactyl. The Energy Crystal is still unknown."
"Well… seeing there was a human in there, what if that person already bonded with him?" asked Atticus, "Maybe the crystal was bonded before the strike!"
"Well…," said Drake, turning to Leona, "That could be it. But, the last time I saw that man was when Ferro Fett followed me to Sinnoh… his name is Mackenzie. Mack, for short."
"Interesting, what happened to him?" asked Joe.
Drake turned around as he went to pull up a chair. Roark, Joe, Atticus and Leona sat down as Drake went to speak. Drake sighed as he knew it was time to come clean about what was going on, "The Energy Crystals that we seek used to belong to a kingdom devoted specifically to dinosaurs, or prehistoric Pokémon… King Leon and Queen Liana were the guardians of the Energy Crystals that Ferro Fett was ordered to steal. They also tried to kill a baby in response."
Leona gasped as she turned to him. Drake looked up as he looked at her, "It looks like you've seen a ghost."
"… You protected the baby and went to Sinnoh to escape. That's when you decided to bind them with the Pokémon," said Leona.
"How do you know that?" Drake asked.
Leona gulped as she looked at both Atticus and Joe. She took a deep breath, "Because when I went to search for the crystals for Rowan, I had a dream of something similar. You were in it, Ferro Fett and Shockhound were in it. Leon said something about protecting the baby because she's the legacy to the throne and the crystals, whatever that means…"
Drake looked up as Leona looked at him. Drake sighed as he turned to her, "Well, yes, Gircannon ordered Ferro Fett to do so. However, Mack followed me into the hole. He was my bodyguard to protect the baby. When I was bonding, Shockhound arrive to try to kill me. Mack unfortunately died to protect me and the crystals. The fact that he was able to absorb his life source shocks me."
"Bigger question… he froze seeing Leona," said Atticus, raising an eyebrow, "What happened to the baby then? Does the legacy still exist?"
Joe turned around, "And more importantly, what if Mack shared Aerodactyl's DNA just in time before Mack was killed? That Aerodactyl obviously never had a fossil then. Or… what if Gircannon and Ferro Fett could only retrieve Aerodactyl because it could fly away from that meteor?"
"These are all very good questions," said Drake, turning to Roark, "But, we need more evidence."
Roark nodded as he turned to the team, "And I spoke with Professor Rowan. He said everything is unclear and we need more of an investigation."
"Where's Grayson and Lisa?" asked Drake, turning to the three.
"Pursuing the Aerodactyl Zord," said Leona, looking at Drake, "We figured if we chase Aerodactyl down, we can get answers from Shockhound."
Drake hissed as he looked at them. He shook his head as he turned to Leona, "Not a bad idea, but… I hope you have a backup plan."
Joe turned around as he looked at Leona, "What if they get caught?"
Leona turned around as she looked at the three of them, "I trust that Grayson has enough experience to think through anything. Their orders were to pursue. Once we track them down, we can find the source. We just need to get there before Grayson and Lisa get attacked or worse, killed."
"That's reckless," said Joe, looking at Leona. Leona shook her head, "At this point, getting Aerodactyl out of Shockhound's hand is my only priority. This ranks with saving Lisa and Grayson."
Meanwhile on Route 205…
"ARGH! ARGH!"
Shockhound spun around outside Wayward Cave, covering his face as golden energy surrounded him. Screaming, he fell to his knees as a golden energy surrounded him. Immediately, his eyes opened as a purple aura broke out. Half of his face began to reattach as his whole face was reinstalled. He screamed in anger as he stood up.
"Suck it up. Your days are numbered!" he said, "Once I absorb the Aerodactyl energy, Aerodactyl is mine to use with Ferro Fett!"
Turning to look outside, he saw a blue teleportation aura. Walking, he turned around as he looked to see Turnchou. Turnchou looked at him as Shockhound finally had a sigh of relief.
"Why are you here?" he asked.
"Simple," said Turnchou, pressing a few buttons on his arm. A flash of green light surrounded them as blue and white Qwilfish creatures arrived, carrying a purple and pink staff. Their eyes were golden as they turned around to look at each other.
"Mega Mooks… they are totally different from the Mooks, but they have a different body than the other Mooks," said Turnchou.
"How so?" asked Shockhound.
One of the Mega Mooks turned its head as it was looking down at Route 205. His eyes began to glow bright red as he zoomed in, seeing Grayson and Lisa riding their Cyclizar. Immediately, he used his staff, releasing a purple and pink beam of energy. An explosion occurred. Shockhound and Turnchou looked up as Grayson and Lisa landed on the ground.
"I've been followed?" he asked, "That was powerful!"
Lisa and Grayson started running toward them, only to get attacked by the Mega Mooks.
"Wow, these are different grunts," said Lisa.
"Way different than the Mooks," said Grayson.
Immediately, the Mega Mooks started their attack. Grayson dodged each attack from their staves as he took out his Fossil Saber. Slashing a few of them, he turned around as he went to strike another creature. Within seconds, he was able to break free. Examining, the Mega Mooks began to glow as a green aura surrounded them, reviving. Grayson stood in surprise, "No way!"
Lisa flipped forward as she shot a few of the Mega Mooks. Turning around, she used her Fossil Blaster and Saber to finish the whole entire group. She turned around as landed on her two feet. Immediately, the Mega Mooks began to revive.
"Impossible," she said, turning to Grayson.
Grayson nodded as he turned to Lisa, "Use our Fossil Chargers…"
"Fossil Charger, energize!"
Placing the Fossil Chargers in Grayson's Fossil Saber and Lisa's Fossil Blaster, they spun the blasters as they went to aim at the Mega Mooks. Releasing their finisher, green and pink lines and blasts of energy pierce the grunts as they exploded in pieces. Turning around, purple and black beams pierced their armor. Upon impact, pink and green auras surrounded them as they landed on the ground. Lisa and Grayson were knocked unconscious as Mega Mooks grabbed the two of them. Shockhound laughed as he looked at the Aerodactyl Zord, who caused the attack.
"Well, now we need to get the others," he said, "Take them to Wayward Cave and steal their crystals!"
Meanwhile…
Roark turned around as he looked at the others. He was in panic mode as he turned to them, "So, I lost Lisa and Grayson's signal."
Leona looked up as she watched the radar. He was right. Grayson and Lisa were driving toward Route 205, almost toward Floramoma Town according to the standing visual screens in Dino Paradise. Suddenly, they disappeared… but there was more on the screen.
"Can you zoom in on that part of the screen?" asked Leona.
"Better," said Roark, smiling, "I can even do satellite mode."
As he pressed a few buttons, the three rangers watched as they saw some damage done in an aerial view. An image of Shockhound and Turnchou arrived as they were laughing. Mega Mooks had Lisa and Grayson as they were being taken. Joe turned around as he looked at Drake, "What are they?"
"Mega Mooks. Ferro Fett must've gotten some reinforcements," said Drake.
Leona turned around as she looked at them, "Well, we got to stop them."
Joe turned around as he pulled Leona's arm, "Hold it."
Leona turned to Joe, "But, Joe…"
"I know… this is a trap," he said, "Think about it. Shockhound has one of the energy crystals, is human… so we possibly know who he is, will probably take Grayson and Lisa's crystals. It wouldn't surprise me if he's trying to draw us out."
"He's right," said Atticus, "Shockhound knows we would have the technology."
Leona turned around as she looked at him, "Well, what do we do?"
Joe turned around as he looked at her. He shook his head, "We'll go with what you say. We'll fight them. But… I want to make a distress call first."
"To who?" asked Leona, "No one in Hoenn will get here in time."
Joe turned around as he looked at Leona, "Who said I was going to contact one of my friends from over there? You forgot there was another ranger."
Atticus grinned as he looked at him, "Kyland…"
"Bingo," said Joe, "If we start out, Kyland is sure to join us. Granted, he's never morphed before and used Omastar's power. But, in case something happens to us, he needs to help us now more than ever."
"That's very risky," said Leona, looking at Joe, trying to oppose.
"But, we don't have a choice," said Joe. Leona nodded slowly as she turned to him. Joe nodded as he went to start. As he did, Drake's hand touched Joe's. Joe turned around as Drake slowly looked at his face.
Drake turned around as he looked at Joe, "I'll handle it, Joe. The three of you need to face Shockhound now."
Joe nodded as he turned to Leona. Leona and Atticus followed Joe as they grabbed their crystals and blasters from their charging ports, heading to the exit.
Meanwhile…
Shockhound laughed as he stood at the foot of Wayward Cave. Looking across, he turned to see flashes of red, black and blue light, revealing the rangers. Shockhound marched forward as he turned to the team.
"So," said Shockhound, "The others have shown."
"Enough talk," said Leona, "Release Grayson and Lisa, now."
"Not so fast," said Shockhound, looking at her, "Hand over your crystals and they will go."
"You are going to have to fight for them. No way you are getting all six crystals," said Atticus, calmly. Leona nodded as she stood forward, "Let's Poké Battle!"
The three rangers revealed their Fossil Chargers. Pressing the button, red, black and blue lights surrounded the charger from their crystal, "Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Activating their Fossil Chargers, the rangers did a little dance with their Fossil Blasters. Inserting the Fossil Chargers in the Fossil Blasters, the rangers held up their weapons.
Fossil Chargers, Energize!
Spinning the Fossil Blasters, the rangers stretched their weapons to the sky, "Unleash the Power!"
Red, black and blue beams were unleashed as their ranger suits materialized. The rangers then used their Fossil Blasters on their right shoulder.
"Dino Armor, engage!"
Immediately, their Dino Armor materialized with their individual weapons. Shockhound grinned as he snapped his fingers. A flash of blue energy surrounded either side as the Mega Mooks arrived.
"Oh great, we have company," said Leona, "Let's give them a taste of our own medicine!"
Joe and Atticus dashed first to strike the Mega Mooks. Joe had his own pile of Mega Mooks to deal with. Joe pulled the trigger, shooting black and purple beams of energy at the Mega Mooks. It took a few shots to knock them down as he turned around to kick one in the chest. He then turned around as he looked to see one of them use their staff. Pink and purple beams emerged as Joe dodged each attack. Explosions surrounded him as he dodged the shockwave. He then turned around as he took out the Flamethrower charger. Pressing the button, a red energy beam surrounded it as he placed it in the Fossil Blaster. Spinning it, he stretched out the weapon, releasing a stream of flames. The Mega Mooks around him were incinerated as they were spinning around.
"They just don't stay down!" said Joe, "In that case… Armaldo Charger!"
Pressing the Armaldo Charger in the Armaldo Blaster, a black aura surrounded his weapon as he pulled the trigger. Multiple claws erupted out of the nozzle, slicing and dicing the Mega Mooks as they exploded. Joe shook his head as he looked at the carnage.
"That took forever!"
Atticus had a similar problem with them. Atticus threw a Mega Mook in a pile of the others and used his Fossil Blaster, shooting them down multiple times. Another one jumped up from behind, landing on him. Atticus landed on the ground as he turned around. The Mega Mook raised its staff as it turned into a spear. Atticus rolled across as the Mega Mook missed. Atticus then noticed another one ready to spear him down. Atticus rolled backwards as he kicked the two of them in the face. A blue aura surrounded his Carracosta Shield. He took a step forward and released it.
"Razor Shell!"
Using the Razor Shell, he sliced the Mega Mooks across. The Mega Mooks started stumbling as Atticus stretched out his Fossil Blaster, shooting them down. Blue beams of energy pierced each Mega Mook as they exploded into pieces. Atticus couldn't believe how much effort it took to knock down the next level of Mook.
Leona flew backwards as she landed on the ground. Shockhound laughed as he carried his saber across. Leona managed to get up from the dirt, rubbing the dirt off of her suit as she used her Tyrantrum Fang. Shockhound went to use his saber, only for her Tyrantrum Fang to catch it. The two had their own tug of war. The two of them struggled with the fight as they were trying to battle it out.
"Leona!" shouted Joe.
Leona turned around as Joe and Atticus were running toward her. Joe threw his Armaldo Blaster, "Use it!"
As the Armaldo Blaster was thrown, Leona caught it with her other hand. Leona, analyzing the crack in Shockhound's face, released a black and purple pulse. The pulse broke Shockhound's face as he cringed. Leona turned around as she combined both weapons.
"Wait…," said Atticus, throwing the shield to give to her. Immediately, the three weapons combined into one blaster. The batteries were also caught, charged. Leona placed all three blasters into the weapon.
"Tri-Fossil Blast!'
Pulling the trigger, three beams of energy emerged in red, black and blue as it pierced Shockhound's face. Golden and purple energy exploded around him as he landed on the ground. A golden aura surrounded him, screaming for help as a golden entity managed to erupt from his body.
Landing on the ground, a human turned around as he looked at the three rangers. Leona, Atticus and Joe froze as he stepped forward. He had brown wavy hair with green eyes and his body was shaped with a medium muscular build. He wore a golden headband with a black lightning bolt and wore a black vest and black pants with brown shoes. He also carried a brown belt that had a navy and gold saber.
"… Mackenzie?" asked Leona.
"That is my name… thank you for releasing me," he said.
"Argh…" a voice said.
Mackenzie turned around as Shockhound appeared. Shockhound's face returned as his whole body was put back together. A purple aura surrounded him as he went stretched his hand out. Purple claws were stretching from behind. Immediately, he took out his saber and struck. Golden beams pierced the area as Shockhound flew back.
"I still possess you…," said Shockhound, looking at the energy crystal, "Our boss knew that you had an energy crystal, hence why Aerodactyl was mine!"
Mackenzie stretched out his saber, "Drake promised me with this… and I am not going to let you possess it or me…"
The two of them stood across from each other as their eyes stared deep into each other, almost like a standoff waiting to happen. Leona and the others watch as Mackenzie grabbed his saber and raised it toward him.
"You're done," he said.
