So, I just want to thank everyone for being patient with this story. I will try to convince myself to update this at least once every week or every other week, but no promises. I do have a job, two puppies, and dumbass younger siblings. So thank you for being patient with this chapter and I just want to thank everyone in advance for the next chapter.
"What are you doing here all by yourself?" Jack asked.
Hiccup could only stare at him.
Why is he concerned about me? He is the captain of the soccer team, dating Heather Berserker, captain of the cheerleading team. He has brought Berk High's Dragons to victory every game he is in. He is so popular and rich. He shouldn't waste his time with me.
"Is there something wrong?" Jack asked. Then he broke out into a fake-but-realistic panic. "Is there something on my face?"
It was then Hiccup finally decided to talk. "You're face is perfect. Tr-trust me." Hiccup's face immediately flushed as soon as the words left his mouth. "I-I mean-"
"Did you draw that?" Jack asked, ignoring the embarrassing statement Hiccup made.
"Huh?" Hiccup immediately followed Jack's eyesight to his sketchpad of dragons. "Y-yeah..."
"These are amazing! Do you have any more drawings of them? Do you take requests?"
"I have up to this page full of dragons in here. And I have never really had anyone make a request, so..."
"What do you say we hang out after school, then? Assuming you aren't busy, of course," Jack offered.
"I-I don't kn-know... I barely know you..." Hiccup said.
"Then we can get to know each other a little bit on the way to my place. Please?" Jack pleaded, giving Hiccup the puppy eyes.
Hiccup sat in thought for a little bit. His father was going to be gone for few days, so, what was the harm of Hiccup not being home? He could catch up on chores tomorrow or something.
"I... I guess I can come over, if it is alright with your parents," Hiccup replied, rubbing his arm to give himself some comfort.
Jack's smile radiated joy. "I'm sure it'll be fine! They are used to me bringing the whole soccer team to my house. So only bringing one person should be fine. As long as you aren't into anything illegal and you aren't a girl."
"I follow the laws. And why would me being a girl have to do anything?"
"My parents don't want me bringing girls home when they aren't around."
"Makes sense," Hiccup said.
"JACK!" a female voice said, distracting Hiccup and Jack from each other. Hiccup didn't need to see the girl to know it was Heather, Jack's girlfriend. And goodness, did she sound angry. Her looks gave it away, too.
"What are you doing talking to the outcast? Come on, let's get back to our table," she said. She turned on her heels, all sassy-like, and walked off.
Jack looked back at Hiccup. "Meet me by the main entrance," he said before he disappeared after Heather.
Hiccup was so confused.
Sorry if this chapter is trash. I'll have to do a massive edit once this story is done . Until then, I hope you all will still enjoy the story. Might I add, this is based on a dream I had, but we are not yet at the scene that came straight from that dream.
I also want to say thanks again for your guys' patience. I am busier now than when school was a thing for me.
