It was a bright peaceful sunny day. The Going Merry soon made landfall and docked on Logue Town. Everyone already had objectives that they want to do on the island.

"I'll be going to the execution scaffold." Luffy immediately shouted before bolting off.

"I'll be with Zoro to collect our money." Nami declared just before Zoro was about to go by himself. 'I'll need muscle to defend me, and carry the shopping bags.' she thought to herself.

"I can collect the money by myself. I've been to the rendezvous point before." Zoro assured her.

"Maybe by complete accident. Nuh-uh! can't have you getting lost." she wagged her finger at him.

"The food stock is starting to look dry, so I'm gonna go stock up on that." Sanji relegated himself to resupplying.

"Same with components, and I'll also check if they have any useful equipment here." Usopp said, deciding to go off and explore the town by himself, relatively confident of his own strength, still high off his win against Chew.

Similar to the initial timeline, Zoro once again came across Tashigi easily neutralizing a bunch of pirates. And just like last time, she landed wrong, tripped and lost her glasses. Unlike last time however, Nami got to her glasses first and picked it up instead of Zoro.

"Miss, here's your glasses."

"S-sorry. Th-thank you very much."

On a certain island...

"Mihawk, this is unexpected. I'm in a really bad mood right now...You here for a scrap?" Shanks said, clearly grumpy and unlike his usual carefree cheerful self.

"Hmph. You know I don't challenge one-armed has-beens...I've found an interesting pirate that reminded me of a story you told me long ago. About some little village boy..." Mihawk said as he started unfurling and showing Luffy's wanted poster.

"What?! No way!"

"You're finally here...Luffy." Shanks muttered, having already gotten over his bad mood, grinning and grabbing Luffy's wanted poster from Mihawk's extended hand. "Hey Sea Dogs! Bring out the grog, we're celebrating! Luffy's finally coming!"

"What about your hangover captain?"

"Fuck that! How can I possibly not drink for a day like this?! Drink with us too Mihawk!" Shanks said, directing Mihawk to go take a sit by putting his hand on Mihawk's back, which is when he noticed something. "What happened to your hat? You're not the type of guy to go around wearing ripped clothing...Looks too clean of a cut to be a random rip...Did you fight any of the other Yonko? Did you finally break off and fought an Admiral on your way out? Is there a monstrous rookie I don't know about?" he started listing off the possible suspects.

"I don't know exactly if it would be correct to call that guy a rookie." Mihawk said, removing his hat and feeling up the the cut with his left hand. Shanks poured him a drink, hoping to keep his former rival talking some more. "He's still fairly young, but it seemed that he was very experienced, and he employed advanced usage of both armament and conqueror's haki. He's also a part of that kid's crew."

"In East Blue? Based on how you talk about him, he sounds like he's at least an ok guy. Revolutionary?" Shanks muttered, but still quite audible to Mihawk. "Well, enjoy the festivities Mihawk, you're a guest. Everyone! Let's party for Luffy!" Shanks urged his crewmates to party, even though most of them had no idea who Luffy was, for now.

"Big Bro, here!"

Johnny waved at Zoro and Nami. Yosaku's behind him guarding a sizable crate on a heavy hand cart. The duo was waiting in an alleyway near the Arms Shop to do the transfer, which was the agreed upon meeting place set by Zoro.

"How are you guys? So, we got 73 of those dial things you talked to us about Big Bro, but we had to use up all the 2.5 million."

"Over 30 thousand for each?!" Nami immediately calculated how much one cost.

"It's fine, calm down Nami. I'm guessing our cut of the bounties are in the crate as well?" Zoro held her back

"Yep, all 44.5 million. We already took our 4.5 mill."

"Remind me again the calculations of the bounties." Nami cut in about the bounty, making sure there's no foul play.

"The officers combined all had 42.5 million, Arlong had 20, Kuroobi had 9, Hatchan had 8, and Chew had 5.5. We took 2.5 to pay for the dials. We then got paid 500k for each alive Fishman, but only 350k each for the dead ones because of the 30% deduction. So 5.5 for the 11 alive ones and 3.5 for the 10 dead ones. We then took half of that, as the agreed upon share."

"Ok, then." Nami was satisfied, deciding not to push even further as to actually start counting the money in front of them. She received the key to the lock on the crate.

Johnny and Yosaku sighed in relief, as they really didn't want to be on the receiving of Nami's lightnings. Both duo then said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. Both Zoro and Nami then went deeper in the alleyway in order to check the contents of the crate. Nami opened it, wherein she saw shells and a pile of money covered in hay. She made a quick recount of the money for a final check. Zoro on the other hand, took some of the dials to test them out.

"Heat...Water...Uh! Impact." After seeing that at least some of them were legitimate, he then put them back in the crate. When it seemed like Nami was done counting, he took 10 million.

"I'm gonna buy swords, and better protection for Usopp in the Arms Shop over there." he pointed at the weapons shop.

"You know you could've just asked me for money, and I would've given you some...for a tiny interest." Nami told Zoro, but then muttered the last parts.

"No fucking way I'm gonna let you get me into one of your dumb unfair debts again. Also, speaking of debts, when do you plan to pay me? You still owe me 4 million remember?"

"How?!"

"Remember, I gave you the last 4 million you needed to complete your 100 for your failed deal with Arlong."

"But I didn't use it!"

"You did though. You gave my 4 million to Cocoyasi village." Zoro smugly informed her.

"You! You planned this didn't you?!" Nami pointed at Zoro, knowing that he knew both that the deal would fall through and that Nami would leave the money for the deal. Thus, Nami would still owe Zoro money, but then she also wouldn't be able to just give it back to him now. She could give Zoro her share, but it only amounted to 4.5 million, which would've left her with only 500k left.

"I didn't do anything wrong though, I told you that the deal was fake, and you were the one who decided to leave all the 100 million, while knowing 4 million of those was a debt from me. Me and Luffy even gave you our share from Buggy's loot with no strings attached. You could just pay me right now, but of course over a week has passed and debts always have interest so just pay me with 15% interest."

Nami knew Zoro was fucking with her, as the amount he was asking was just above the share she just got. But she really couldn't say anything because she knew 15% was a very fair deal, and that Zoro actually lost out when he traded those diamonds for the 4 million, which he lent her. "GRRR! You monster!"

"How does it feel being in debt to me? Last time, you actually did the same to me, but at least I gave you a reasonable interest, while you were charging me at a 300% interest rate, you witch." Zoro gloated at her very angry face, euphoric at outsmarting the shady scammer. He let her simmer for a little while but he made sure that he doesn't push her too far He patted her back and reassured her. "It's fine, you don't actually have to pay me, I was just messing with you...Just forget about it. I still have to buy some stuff." Zoro then closed the crate and then carried it over is shoulder, while walking towards the Arms shop.

"Hmph!...You gonna take long?" Nami huffed then pouted at him.

"Like I told you, you should've just let me go by myself if you wanted to go shopping. Don't worry, I won't be long."

He entered the Arms Shop, carrying the crate, with Nami entering with him. He then eyed Tashigi receiving her sword from the store manager. He decided to ignore Tashigi as much as possible. Already knowing which swords he wanted, he turned to his right and went straight towards the barrel swords dropping the crate right beside it. Nami then sat on the crate, keeping a close eye on everyone near. "I'm here for swords." Zoro stated as he pulled out Sandai Kitetsu, his old companion and took it at the counter.

"Yes yes, welcome, please look around...older swords, newer swords, and brand-new swords, we have 'em all. We've always had a solid reputation for over 200 years in the business. Eh!...Hah! C-could I take a look at that sword for a second?" The owner, Ipponmatsu was merchandising when he saw Wado and started shaking.

"I know Wado, not for sale." Zoro immediately cut him off.

"Whoa! That's Wado Ichimonji, the Straight Road of Peace. Can I please take a look?!" Tashigi joined in and pleaded for Zoro, which based on their unusual past/future relationship and knowing her character, Zoro obliged. "Look at that blade!" Tashigi really geeked out, mesmerized by Zoro's sword.

"Is there any other way you'd consider?" Ipponmatsu simply couldn't let the chance go.

"No, I'm here to buy swords. Here, I'm buying Sandai Kitetsu." Zoro then placed Sandai Kitetsu on the counter, which drew both Tashigi and Ipponmatsu's breaths, but for different reasons. Tashigi was simply taken aback by the graded blade, while Ipponmatsu was scared of the sword's history and rumors of curses.

"Are you really selling a graded blade for 50k?! Those are worth at least a million Beri." she asked the shop owner.

"No! Not that one! I can't sell you that!" Ipponmatsu ignored Tashigi and loudly refused Zoro.

"Is it because it's supposedly 'cursed'?...A sword chooses its wielder. A sword is a tool meant to cut, so when users can't control their swords it simply means they weren't worthy, and the swords cuts indiscriminately." Zoro then demonstrated his point by performing a draw cut on his palm with Sandai Kitetsu, without drawing blood. Then he threw Sandai Kitetsu like he did the first time and stuck his arm out, but the sword simply didn't hit his arm, but the sword dug itself almost hilt deep into the floor. "See." The audience, Tashigi, Ipponmatsu, and Nami all simply gawked silently at Zoro's demonstration and the cajones on him to just do that.

"Wait here..." Ipponmatsu said as he sprinted towards the back and returned with a sword with a black hilt and sheath. "This is Yubashiri, the Snow Chaser, a Fine-Graded blade. I personally guarantee its sharpness. This is the best katana we have." he said as he handed it to Zoro.

"Miss sword expert, how much would this be?" Zoro asked Tashigi what the price for Yubashiri would be.

"Wait...Yubashiri, one of the 50 Fine-Grade Blades, it's worth 3 million!"

"Never mind the money, just take it! It's been a while since I've looked into the eyes of a real swordsman."

"No, I insist. Besides, this aren't my only purchases. Can you recommend me a good helmet and a shield? The one I'm giving it to is a sniper. He also likes to modify his equipment so maybe those that has space for modifications." Zoro did not want to just take advantage of the owner's kindness a second time, specially when he could afford it. He then seamlessly redirected the conversation to his next purchases.

"Sniper huh...For the helmet, this is a very new shipment that only started to come out of the market. It has a super high-tech layering inside. They call it kevlar, supposedly bulletproof, very light." Ipponmatsu gave Zoro a stahlhelm with a kevlar layer inside. "The metal is also what is called a memory metal. They said that if it gets deformed, you just heat it up and it supposedly reverts back to its initial shape. It's also the same material as this shield over here. Very popular with seafarers for long voyages in pirate infested waters." He then handed Zoro the round shield.

"It feels a tiny bit softer than forged steel." Zoro said while tapping on the shield. It didn't have a handle, but it had drilled holes behind the shield where extra layers could be added.

"That's ok, they're a bit thicker to compensate, but also far more resistant to corrosion." Ipponmatsu explained.

"I'll take both then. How much?" Zoro said while tying Sandai Kitetsu and Yubashiri on his waist.

"It's ok you're already pa-" "I'll pay for all of it, I have the money so you don't have to help me on that front, this a fair transaction." Zoro interrupted him before he could again insist on shouldering it himself. Zoro then payed 5 million for all of his purchases, pulling out his money from the pocket in his haramaki, impressing both Tashigi and Ipponmatsu on his ability to just pull out massive amounts of money like that. They gave him a sack with a string on it to put the helmet and shield in, which he slung over his shoulder. Zoro then carried the crate outside while Nami waited for him.

"Now that you're done with your shopping, now it's time for mine."

"You want me to carry all of your shit, right?" Zoro said with a deadpanned expression.

"Let's go!" she simply cheered.

He then went on to accompany Nami in her shopping. She pulled him around to different stores pulling out a lot of different clothing, most of which Nami was still too cheap to buy despite her money.

She even forced Zoro to try out a bunch of clothes when she asked the current state of his wardrobe. He begrudgingly told her about it.

"You need more variety Zoro. You can't just wear plain mass-produced white shirts, cargo pants and boots your entire life." she told him

Sure, he moaned and grumbled about it, complained about the vainness and non-practicality of it all. But in truth, seeing his nakama walking around and happily living her life, it warmed his heart. He vowed to himself to keep all of their smiles.

'Not again. Never again.'
