Peeking one eye open at the sound of constant movement, she swiftly turned on her side trying to cover herself as much as she could from the beating sun letting out a low growl in the process when she could already feel the sweat trickle down her back. "So grossssss…" she whined.
"You're really not a morning person."
"What was your first clue?" she groaned dramatically lowering the piece of cloth from her grumpy face and glaring at an amused Todoroki.
"Just a hunch." He half shrugged standing up and dusting the sand off. "You should get up. Looks like we're finally leaving."
"What?!"
Nodding his head towards the shore she could now see some of the teacher walking around helping the student's load their things into two private planes with Deku animatedly talking with someone she recognized. "Wait is that Melissa?"
"Yeah." Turning his head to the gravity girl Todoroki's eyes briefly widened and she could see his attempt to try and hide the laughter threatening to spill out.
"What? A-are you laughing at me?" she stared in disbelief, realizing that the brown strands of her hair that usually loved to rebel during her morning hours were sticking up in every way imaginable.
"No." he said unable to keep the cute little chuckle from escaping before wrapping his arms around his stomach. "I apologize. I just… haven't seen that since first year's training camp."
Sticking her tongue out she tried looking for one of Minas bags which seemed to be missing. "Great."
"Ashido was one of the first ones on the plane." he offered, seeing the disgruntled pout on her face. "We should do the same. Iidas making sure to round everyone up."
"So, I'm supposed to just walk around like this?!" she continued to try and tame her hair with her hands but failing. So, she did the next best thing trying to tie her hair in a messy bun but some of the strands still wouldn't cooperate. "Does it have a shower?!"
"Um…I don't think we're that lucky."
"Fine." Snatching up her stuff and using it as a shield for both the sun and her appearance she quickly made a beeline to one of the planes with Todoroki jogging to catch up. "Keep up Todoroki!" She ignored the puzzled looks of some of the students still making their way over and Bakugo talking with Mr. Aizawa lifting a curios brow.
'Still not a morning person…' he mused to himself smirking when he saw her wild hair.
Once in the air it seemed like everyone was just as relieved to make it out of the blinding heat, enjoying the much-needed air conditioning, and now donning their clean UA gym clothes the teachers brough along with water and food. It turned out that this 'field trip' as they called it was what they had in mind this whole time deciding since it was their last year there that instead of training camp, they would test the students on how well they would react to any situation they were unprepared for at a moment's notice. That's why they made sure certain students were unavailable on the plane, so the other students would be pushed to their limits and try to think outside the box. They were unprepared for Bakugo to actually wake instead of staying asleep like Deku and Todoroki and astonished by everyone's quick thinking.
Leaving them on the Island was another portion of the test trying to gauge their survival instincts and how they would adapt to any situation as well as keep a level head.
"Frankly I'm surprised that you all lasted as long as you did without using much of your quirks." Mr. Aizawa said standing in front of them. "Vlad King is explaining the same thing to Class B as we speak since we have been monitoring you since the moment you got on the plane for I-Island, as well as on this Island which is actually run by David Shield and actually not quite far from the other island."
"Yay…" Mina pouted keeping her eyes on a smirking Mr. Aizawa.
Giving them a friendly wave Melissa lifted herself up from her seat to face everyone. "Hey sorry about that. We really wanted to try out our new training scenario that we will make available for schools around the world that are also training to be heroes just like you. Your teachers graciously volunteered you guys to test it out for us. So, I hope that was ok." she sheepishly grinned.
"If the teachers thought this was a good learning experience, then we are thankful for allowing us the opportunity to participate." Iida said raising his arm and receiving tired grunts from everyone in return.
"I agree." Deku eagerly from the seat next to her. "Although a shower wouldn't hurt."
"YES!" Mina groaned looking at her skin in disgust. "Definitely."
"Either way I hope you all were able to take something away from this exercise and I will go through your performance with each of you once we get back, so that being said get some rest since you still have school the next day."
"Really?" Hagakure whined slouching down on her seat.
"Yes." Mr. Aizawa said sitting back down and trying to sleep the whole flight but knew with his students that was never guaranteed.
"Tch." Crossing his arms over his chest Bakugo leaned back in his seat torn between drifting off to sleep as his heavy eyelids kept reminding him that the last time he had a decent night's sleep was more than a week ago, or trying to stay awake a little longer to try and find an opening to talk to her.
Yawning Uraraka continued to make small talk with Todoroki sitting next to her while watching a movie until she felt something heavy leaning against her shoulder. Realizing he had fallen asleep with his head on her shoulder she gave a faint smile. When she snuck a glance between the seats, she could fairly make out the hot-headed Bakugo sound asleep until he would jolt himself awake before his exhaustion took over once again.
They hadn't had the chance to talk since the kiss last night and she knew he'd been trying to ever since whenever she would feel someone string at her, and then they were hauled away for their trip back home. She had to admit that a big part of her really did want to talk about it but another part of her was scared and nervous. When she had kissed him on the Island, she didn't know what came over her all of a sudden, only thinking about the two of them and all of the feelings that came with him.
When her eyelids finally dropped, she could only hope this time they would make it to their destination without anymore incidents.

As soon as their feet hit UA grounds everyone quickly grabbed their luggage heading to the nearest showers which were in the school's locker rooms while others ran to the dorms after Mr. Aizawa had released them.
"Hey Mina-" Kirishima started before she cut him off.
"No time." She grabbed his hand and made the extra effort to run back towards the dorm showers instead.
Grabbing his luggage from the bus Bakugo lazily followed the guys inside the building and towards the boy's locker room thankful to finally be home until he came to an abrupt stop right before the doors when he heard the girls disappear into there's.
"You coming dude?" Sero said over his shoulder.
"Yeah, be there in a minute." He calmly said, getting a shrug in return as Sero closed the door behind him.
Not knowing whether it was exhaustion from the long trip back, being somewhat sleep deprived or frustrated because without thinking he cautiously looked both left then right down the hall, making sure the coast was clear before leaning his ear against the girl's locker room door feeling like a complete creep at the moment.
'Nothing.' Taking that as a good sign he apprehensively peeked his head in, breathing out a huge sigh of relief when no one was there, quietly closing the door behind him, he convinced himself after every step that he wasn't a perve. 'If any of those losers catch me, I'll never hear the fuckin end of it, and I can kiss my chances with Round-face goodbye.'
Just as she could read his mind, he saw her walking over to one of the showers further down still dressed in her gym clothes and undoing her hair bun shaking out her hair.
Snapping out of his thoughts at the loud CLANK of one of the doors and oncoming laughter from the other end he quickly and quietly moved between some of the rows of lockers praying that he wouldn't be caught or worse see something he really had no intention of seeing, mentally scolding himself if that happened, he'd rather poke his damn eyes out.
Hearing Hagakure giggle about something Tsu said as they passed by, he took a deep breath looking down the way he saw Uraraka walk off to, making sure he wouldn't be seen before sprinting down that area thankful to make it to his destination uncaught.
Startled to hear the door close behind her she almost let out a loud scream which was muffled as soon as someone placed his hand over her mouth.
"Shh, keep it fucking down, it's just me!" he whispered as she furiously blinked seeing him standing there. Looking to make sure no one heard them he saw a mischievous glint in her brown eyes he recognized before he gave her a warning glare quick to remove his hand after what happened last time. "Don't you fuckin dare!"
"Hmph." She crossed her arms, turning her head to do the same in the even someone heard. "What are you even doing here?! Don't you guys get that this is the girls locker room!"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing." She shook her head before they could go off topic. "Again, what are you doing here Bakugo? If you get caught-"
"I won't." he quickly said, pulling her further inside the shower stall and away from the door when he saw her wanting to protest. "This won't take long; I just came here to see you."
"W-what why?" she stammered furrowing her brows. "Bakugo we've just spend an entire week on a 'deserted' Island and believe it or not I really really want a proper shower." she said gently, removing her arm suddenly feeling self-conscious about her appearance.
"I know." He said running a shaky hand through his hair. "It's just that everytime we try to talk…it just seems like there's always something interrupting us damn it!"
"Shh Bakugo!" she whisper yelled giving him a warning look to keep his voice down.
"Well, it's true." He firmly said lifting his eyebrows to challenge her to say otherwise.
Opening her mouth, she quickly snapped it shut, cautiously meeting his gaze. "Ok then. What do you want to talk about?"
"Us." he said not daring to remove his crimson eyes from her. "I want to talk about us. Without any fuckin interruptions, without any damn misunderstandings and anyone getting in the damn way. Because frankly I'm sick of it and I think you are too."
Shifting her weight from one foot to the other she nervously started fidgeting with her hands. "I am but…"
"But what?"
"W-what if there's a reason." She blurts out seeing him give her a confused look.
"What?"
"What if all of this is just a sign that none of this was supposed to happen."
Scoffing, he took a deep breath. "No offense Round-face but if the damn universe was trying to keep us apart then I'd say it's doing a shitty job because I'm not going anywhere." He firmly said. "Not again."
His eyes slowly softened when he saw the apprehension on her face and the way she was averting her eyes and he could understand why, stepping closer to her. "Look I know I fucked up more than once. And I still hate myself for even leaving in the first place-"
"Bakugo don't."
"Just let me finish please..." He said letting his bangs cover his face still regretting the decision he had made even though it was before they realized their feelings for each other. "I hated not being able to see you everyday when I was gone, or the way you'd even smile in my direction…or even the determined look you give me when you're just wanting to kick my ass whether just sparring or because you're pissed off." He chuckled to himself slowly lifting his gaze. "Uraraka… do you have any idea how much I've missed you? Imagining what it would be like to see you again…"
"I do…" she softly said with shaky eyes.
"I always think about how much time I've wasted being away from you…"
"Bakugo…it wasn't a waste." Sadness now clouded her face. "I even told you before you left that I was proud of what you guys were doing and I still am."
"So, what's the problem now?" he said slightly crouching down to be at eye level with her. "And don't lie because I know that after you kissed me that you still feel something for me too." he said as a frown appeared on his face at her uneasiness as something crossed his mind making him take a small step back. "Unless...you don't, and it was the spur of the moment kind of thing-"
"W-what? Of course not." she quickly said until she scrunched up her face, awkwardly rubbing the back of her head. "I mean it was and it wasn't." she admitted pretty aware at the way he was now frustratingly glaring at her before she exhaled loudly. "Bakugo…back at the Island, I was glad when you told me everything that's happened. And I'm still sorry I didn't take the time to listen to you sooner." Feeling her cheeks warm she started playing with the hem of her gym shirt. "W-when I…kissed you…I even surprised myself to tell you the truth." She let out a soft giggle glancing sideways. "But I know why I did it…"
"Why?" he said lifting his chin and watching her with such interest it made her even more nervous to admit this.
"Because…you're the only one I've ever even wanted to, to tell you the truth." She quietly admitted, unable to look at him directly until she felt him gently lift her chin to meet his surprisingly warm eyes watching her like she was the most precious thing in the world.
"So…why not give it a try?' he eagerly said searching her eyes. "You already know my feelings for you haven't changed and yours haven't either."
"No, but-"
"Uraraka, I swear on everything if you say that it won't work, I will personally see to it that Ears places you in the band, no arguments." He pointed his finger making her drop her mouth open.
"You wouldn't."
"Try me." He challenged narrowing his eyes with a wicked smirk.
"And if it doesn't?"
"I know it will and you can't change my mind on that." He gave her a small smile, placing a strand of hair behind her ear and keeping his eyes there. "I'm done waiting. I'm done wasting every damn second of everyday without you. I know neither of us has experience with this…and I honestly can't promise that there won't be days when we won't want to kill each other." He gave her a playful smirk tenderly cupping her right cheek and leaning his forehead against hers breathing in her sweet flowery smell that he missed so much. "But I'll gladly let you try and kick my ass if that'll make you happy." he said, wiping a small tear from her cheek as she giggled.
"Try huh?"
"Yeah try." He chuckled his eyes glued to her warm brown ones. "You're the only girl I've asked this question to…multiple times may I add." He scowled but it didn't last long when he saw her smile as he watched her eyes land on the silver necklace around his neck lightly tracing it with her fingers. "…be my girlfriend Ochaco? Give me a shot to prove to you that were great together."
Closing her eyes smiling, she took in a shaky breath trying to savior the feel of his warm palm against her cheek. The same hands that could easily destroy held her with such gentleness it always made her chest warm and melt all at once. "I've been waiting so long to hear you ask me that again."
Startled, he felt his eyes growing quickly lifting his forehead from hers. "Wait…is that a yes?"
With a blinding smile she lifted her eyes. "Yes, I'd love to be your girlfriend."
"Are fuckin serious?!" He felt a surge of happiness shoot through his entire body unable to contain the huge smile plastered on his face any longer.
"Shh Bakugo!" She pressed a finger to her lip trying to keep him quiet as he let out small shouts here and there in excitement until she herself let out a small yelp when he wrapped her in a tight hug making her giggle and breathing in a sigh of contentment as she nuzzled her face against his chest breathing in his intoxicating scent of caramel.
"I don't care about them." He nodded towards the door with the smuggest face she'd ever seen as she curiously looked up. "You can just tell them your boyfriend came to see you."
"You're going to be enjoying saying that too much."
"Fuck yeah I am."
Bashfully covering her face, she felt him remove her hands, watching him grin adorably before his eyes quickly drifted from her eyes to her lips then back again right before he slowly leaned down and carefully nudged her nose with his. Closing their eyes he couldn't help it anymore, feeling that strong familiar pull of longing and comfort that only she could provide as his soft lips grazed hers.
Cupping her soft cheeks, he slowly caressed her lips with his as she shyly reciprocated with a blissful sigh of satisfaction when he slowly moved his palm to the back of her neck pressing her lips harder against his never wanting to be without them again.
"EEP!" Flinching when they felt water splash down on them after she clumsy turned the knob on, she couldn't help but cover her mouth laughing as he hissed, glaring up at the shower head.
"Shit!" peering back down as the water ran down his head he playfully nodded. "Think this shit's funny huh?"
Shaking her head, she saw him give her a sly smile when she went up on her tiptoes pulling him down for another kiss. Snaking his arms around her waist almost instinctively so, he pulled her closer as the water continued running down soaking them from head to toe.
Typically, she would question her actions at the thought of possibly being caught…again, but at that moment all she was thinking of was how much she's missed him and how great it felt to finally be this close to him again. Running her hands through his now wet hair like she'd wanted to do since the moment he got back, her heart started hammering wildly in her chest knowing full well he must've heard it since she felt his too.
The moment she allowed him access he didn't hesitate to eagerly slide his tongue inside her mouth, they both softly let out a small moan making the corners of his lips lazily lift pulling back only enough to see her smiling back at him.
When their lips met again this time it was accompanied by a long-denied hunger, letting out all the stress and emotions pouring out of them from not being with each other for so long.
Wrapping her arms around his neck she pulled him closer and closer, smiling when she felt his body shudder. The next instant she found herself lifted up squealing into his mouth and pressed up against the wall.
His breath quickened as he continued to explore every part of her mouth, dragging his lips to her flushed cheek down her chin, neck and found a sweet spot behind her ear that made her clutch him closer. The sound of water and their heavy breathing kept them from hearing the sudden footsteps echoing closer and closer down the small hall.
"Ochaco you alright?" Jirou asked from behind the door concern in her voice.
Gasping for air, they abruptly pulled away staring wide eyed at the door with two figures standing just outside of it.
"Shit!"
"Y-yeah I'm fine." She tried sounding as calm as possible letting him slowly place her back on her own two feet.
"You've just been in there for a while." Hagakure said. "Are you sure?"
Covering her cheeks, she tried to keep the blush at bay while Bakugo frantically searched for any means of escape with an equally flushed face. "Yeah, I'll be right there."
Seeming satisfied with the answer she saw them retreating before she let out the breath she didn't know she was holding. "That was too close. You should go before you get caught."
Nodding, he glanced at the window before walking back over to her giving her an unconvinced smile. "Are you sure? You're not just fuckin with me, right?"
Giggling, she gave him a small nod understanding what he meant. "Yes, I'm sure. Now go!" she smiled at the wet state he was in as he rubbed his now shaggy hair. How would he explain this to whoever he runs into, she didn't know.
"Alright." Grabbing her face he kissed her once, twice, three times before she playfully pushed him away hearing him chuckle. "Bakugo go!"
Hoisting himself up he popped the window open checking to make sure no one was out walking around before throwing his bags out, smirking he looked over his shoulder at her. "Katsuki."
Giving him a shy smile, she tiled her head. "Katsuki."
With the tips of his ears turning beet red he swiftly left making sure to quietly close the window behind him. Clutching her fast-beating chest she felt her smile growing ten folds before turning and starting on her much-needed shower.
