Fandom: Supergirl

A one-shot that I wrote incorporating my OC Aura Danvers, the adoptive sister of Kara and Alex and the biological daughter of The Doctor and River Song.

Aura transported to Lena's lab, and Lena turned to look at her former friend with a look of disdain. Aura understood why Lena was mad and that was why she was there. She needed to make Lena understand why she and Kara had hid that they were Supergirl and Phoenix.

"What are you doing here?" Lena asked, "I don't want to see you. I thought I had made that clear."

"You did. And I know you're really mad at us. At Kara and I. But I'm not here to convince you to forgive us, or to forgive me or Kara. I just want you to understand why she didn't tell you she was Supergirl. Why I didn't tell you that I was Phoenix."

Lena crossed her arms, "Okay. Why? Did you not trust me to keep your secret? Because I could have and I would have."

"Being a superhero isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's dangerous and sometimes the people we love get hurt. We didn't lie to take advantage of you, to manipulate you or because we didn't trust you. We did what we did to protect you. Your name already makes you a target. We didn't want to put you in any more danger by you knowing the true identities of Supergirl and Phoenix." Aura explained

"What are you talking about? How could you or Kara have put me in danger?"

Aura sighed, "Ask anyone that knows us. They have been kidnapped by our enemies. Alex has been kidnapped by my aunt to get to Kara and I. Cadmus used my dad to get to Kara and I. They took mine and Kara's blood, made a weapon with Kara's and there's another half-gallifreyan half-human regenerating person out there with my DNA. Alex got kidnapped by someone that Kara went to high school with, because he wanted her to break his dad out of jail. We almost didn't save Alex in time and she almost died. Alex's girlfriend Maggie got hurt because of Supergirl. Because she knew Kara was Supergirl. We didn't tell her. She figured out on her own. J'onn had to wipe Alex's memories and the memories of everyone in the DEO to protect Kara and I from Colonel Haley so she wouldn't find out the identities of Supergirl and Phoenix and use the people we love to control us. To bend us to her will." She shook her head, "The list goes on and on. You may not believe me, but we love you Lena. We really did want to protect you. We'll always want to protect you. I know I'm younger than you, but your safety is important to me. And to Kara."

"How am I supposed to trust you again after you both lied to me for three years?"

"You don't have to. At least not right away, but give us the chance to prove ourselves. Lena, we will never lie to you again. I promise."

Lena nodded, "Okay. I'm not forgiving you yet because I can't, but I will give you another chance. And thank you, for protecting me. And for always saving me. Both you and Kara have always saved me and you've always been there."

Aura smiled, "Of course. That's what friends are for. Thank you for this second chance."

"That's what friends are for." Lena repeated back to Aura
