Chapter 53: All Ten HCUs Training

"So you fell right into Thanos' trap after noticing the big footprints you told me about?" Mom asked me as we were having a conversation in the living room.

"Yeah. They were really in the forest so I decided to do some discovery. Up until Thanos caught me on the spot with the smoke he created." I said.

"*sigh* I don't know what his deal is, but this is getting out of pocket. Are you positive you'll be ok in protecting the world with your friends?"

"I'm going to be ok. Please trust me. Although I have a passion for being intelligent, it doesn't change the fact that I have to be tough. I want to protect you because I love you so much. I want to do everything in my power to protect you and Dad. I'm sure he loves me more than you love me."

"Oh, Kaze…" My mother was feeling heartwarmed with the words I just said to her.

"You gave me what I wanted. Now I have to use it to my advantage. I'll make sure to get all the help I need. Blue, Candace, Gemma and Kinsley, who I recruited, are all going to help me stop Thanos and whoever the mastermind is. Even the Hyper family is going to help me. They are all dependable so I have all the resources needed. Now I just need to use them to my advantage."

"Ok. I guess I did put trust in you to find the first stone. I'll put trust in you the second time." Mom said with a smile on her face.

"Thank you, Mom. I won't let you down. I promise."

"I know you won't, pumpkin. You put a lot of passion in this stuff, so it's clear you'll have no problems taking care of business."

"That's true. Alright. I'm gonna relax for the day. I want to be fully prepared tomorrow so I have to be well-rested."

"Yeah. I agree. You might want to do just that. Just let me know if you need anything." Mom said to me.

"Ok. Thank you."

I then went upstairs to my room to relax for the rest of the day. I went ahead and grabbed a book to read so that it'll soothe my soul. You readers might be thinking that I haven't been reading any books lately. I never stop reading books. I'm glued to them. There's no way I would miss out on the books that I bought.

Speaking of books, maybe I can encounter other people from other dimensions that love to read books too. Even though these dimensions are video game-ish.

Maybe.

*NIGHTTIME*

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

I heard my phone vibrating as I went ahead to check my phone after not being on it for… hours. Apparently, I didn't get any notifications throughout the whole time I was reading books.

As I was checking through my phone to see who texted me, it was Gemma who sent me a text and a photo.

"Look where I ranked!" She texted. I clicked on the photo and saw that she was in first place in the Roller Rocket Racing.

W-Wow! I guess another person from our country has won.

"That's great! You won not only the Royal Rally, but the Roller Rocket Racing as well!" I texted.

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

"Have you tried this before?" She replied to me.

"Yes, I tried it and I won as well." I responded back.

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

"OMG really?! So not only are you good at tennis, but you're good at roller skating as well. You can't be human! You must be robotic!"

"Come on. I'm not all that. I'm just having a good time. I'm not doing it to become the best of the best." I responded.

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

"But you're really amazing! You don't have to be the best of the best, but it's amazing how you can nail stuff like this on your first try. It's like you learned a lot from the legends."

Well… Yeah I did a plethora of great things in a 4 or 5 week span.

"Well I can thank you for the compliment. Even still, I'm still a novice at these types of things except tennis." I texted.

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

"You're not a novice. You're just really good. I guarantee it." Gemma responded.

"Ok, fine. I thank you for that." I texted, not wanting to bring this up any further.

She really is a nice person.

"So I'm just surprised that you're willing to go on our journey after you were doubtful to do this. And I have never seen you sound this serious about it ever since we met." I responded.

Very serious.

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

"I am a nice person, but I turn into a different person when it comes to the safety of my friends. Your situation seemed a little worrying so I had to do this for you. We may not know each other, but you are who I care about. I don't want to see people gone."

I read that text for a couple of minutes and it just simply made me feel blessed. Only because there is another person in this world who cares about how I'm feeling. I'm starting to get a vast amount of friends in a span of weeks. Not that I want to be famous or anything.

"Wow. It's amazing that you are checking up on your friends. How many friends do you actually have?" I texted.

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

"Tons. Almost 50 of them." Gemma texted.

H-Holy hell! That many?! I mentally shouted.

"That's a lot! They really care about you?" I texted.

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

"Yup. I make myself an entertaining person with that many people. There's no way they would be that disloyal to me."

That might be another reason why she was qualified to be in that Royal Rally.

"That's really insane. Really." I texted. "But that aside, are you excited about going to different dimensions?"

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

"You betcha! Although there's still some things I need to do back home, I'm really excited to see what it's like to step foot on some new land! And to help you save the world! It's something that has never happened before, isn't it?"

"I guess you could say that. The world was always normal but I guess this is a new type of incident that we have to brace for."

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

"Right?! Anyway, I'll text you later. I have to take care of some things." Gemma texted.

"Alright. You do that."

So after that conversation, Gemma then took care of what she needed to take care of and I decided to call it a night and get some rest. I already know what's the plan in which you guys hear me say a couple times now. The stone is approaching in the upcoming days so it was necessary for me to get some rest. I really need it.

"Kaze… Kaze, wake up!"

"*moan* *yawn* What's going on, Mom?" I asked as I heard my mother wanted me.

"Don't you have to meet up with your friends to train?"

I checked my phone to see what time it was… and shockingly, it was 8:45 AM in the morning. And Blue texted me on my phone in which I decided to look at later.

What the hell?! I was sleeping for that long?! I must be getting a lot of good sleep lately. I don't know why.

"Y-Yeah! Just let me… oh goodness… goodness uh… I'll get dressed now!"

I scrambled out of bed and changed from my night clothes to wearing a purple shirt with a white on black peace sign, light-purple jeans, and purple and white sneakers.

Even though the weather this morning is cloudy, the temperature in Hyperdrive City just feels fine so it would be ok to wear either a sweater or a t-shirt. But I just went with a shirt since I don't want to ruin my sweater while using my sword during battle. So that's why I chose this over a sweater.

I-I've seen stuff like this in movies! People get their clothes ripped using weapons! It's just… the sweaters are probably going to make me feel uncomfortable during battle. Even though I did well against Schezo back in Primp Town. But that was just Puyo Puyo. With my new build, I'm going to struggle. You'll probably see the difference as we progress.

I grabbed my telecator and went downstairs to see my mother who was making breakfast.

"Good morning, Mother." I greeted.

"Good morning, sweetie. Just making you some quick breakfast before I let you go. You do know what you're doing, right?" Mom asked.

"Yeah. There's a lot I could do with my new powers so I might have no problem utilizing them. But… I'm thinking… this power… I wonder if just fighting opponents would help me get closer to who the mastermind is. I mean… not that-"

"Listen, I believe in you." Mom said as she tried to cut me off there. "Don't you dare think negative. Yes, I was a little concerned about you not knowing you can make the impossible possible, but you wanted to do this and became a heroine back in Primp Town. So I'm going to put more faith in you just in case you need it."

"O-Ok, I see you took what I said yesterday."

"I'm supposed to listen to what you want to say. I'm your mother after all."

"I know, I know."

"Just don't push yourself too hard out there. I want you to save it for when you get to your first destination, alright?"

"Yes, I hear you. I'm pretty sure the others are going to do the same thing."

*NOTIFICATION CHIME*

I felt my phone vibrate again, and it was probably Blue trying to get me to hurry up. But I decided to ignore it for a little longer.

Ok, Blue. Just bare with me for a little while longer.

"So just a refresher… you said you fell into Thanos' trap after checking out the footprints in the forest?"

"Yeah… I don't know what his deal is, but I have a lot of work to do. Because… *sigh* he's gonna overwhelm me with how much power he has." I said with a sweatdrop.

"Again, don't think negatively. Or rather, how about this? You don't have to skip steps. Take it little by little. Nobody starts off above and beyond. They take it little by little and once they get used to doing stuff like that, that's what makes them feel stronger over time."

"I… kinda see what you mean." I said with a bigger sweatdrop.

I'm not sure what she meant by that actually, but I'll take what she said for now.

"And I'm pretty sure Lunia is going to make sure you are fine as well as your Hyperdrive friends so you got a lot on your hands. So you don't need to worry about fighting really strong people."

"Yeah. You're right. These past few days, I think I'm confident, but then afterwards it's "I don't think I'm good enough". I might just go with being confident."

"Yeah. Just be confident. I'm sure you have a long road ahead. Anyway, here's your grilled cheese in case you get hungry, call me if you need anything else, and go do your best."

"Alright. Thanks, mom. I'll be back as soon as I can. If I can." I said as I took the grilled cheese from her and walked out.

Moments after teleporting to Lunia's base, I went inside the base while eating my grilled cheese to meet up with my friends. And as soon as I was about to gain authorization inside the next room…

"Oh, Kaze. You're here. I was texting you and you weren't answering." Blue said as she somehow opened the doors.

"Sorry about that, Blue. I just overslept this morning. Probably because I got too comfortable sleeping in my bed." I said with a sweatdrop.

"It's… Ok." Blue gained a sweatdrop on that. "Anyway, everyone's here already so we should go meet up with them."

"Ok, let's go."

When we entered the next room up ahead, like Blue said, everyone was definitely here on time and fully energized, talking to one another. It was almost as if it was a busy yet exciting day.

Everyone's really here. I thought they would be busy with miscellaneous stuff. That's really surprising.

"Oh, Kaze. You're finally made it." Lunia said with a sigh of relief. Other people started to greet me as well.

"Hello, everyone. Sorry I'm late. I just slept too long because it felt good. I don't know why." I said.

"It felt good? So… you had a very good night of sleep in other words?" Scarlett asked with a sweatdrop.

"Y-Yes. My bed was somewhat comfortable last night. Or it was probably me."

"Ok… that aside, what is that your hand? Just bread for breakfast?" Darius asked me.

"No, this is grilled cheese." I asked. "I didn't get a chance to eat something this morning so my mom cooked it for me to eat along the way."

"Oh…"

"Tch! I knew it…"

"Huh? What's wrong, Candace?" Gemma asked as she looked grossed out.

"Not that I want it out of my sight or anything… I just can't stand cheese. They taste disgusting." Candace said.

"Hold on. What?" Kris asked, looking completely confused.

"Huh?" Alexis looked confused as well.

"Wait, you don't like cheese?!" Darius asked, feeling the same way.

"But they're supposed to be good for you." Lunia said, looking shocked.

"Yeah, you got cheeseburgers, grilled cheese, sandwiches, Nacho Cheese, even the Doritos that you can eat that are flavored with the cheese… still no?!"

"Listen, it's too slimy!" Candace said, trying to defend her case. "I just can't take the flavor and… the… the… the… I can't even explain it. My mouth just can't take it. It brings bad vibes to my mouth."

"But you can still eat the cheeseburgers, right?" Gemma asked. "That's something good to stomach on."

"No. Just no. I'm ok with other things. Just not cheese."

"Wow. That's a violation of your diet." Darius said with a sweatdrop.

"I-It's not a violation! It's just something that I hate!" Candace yelled while blushing.

"Then what about your coffee? Ain't that violating your diet?"

"It's what I drink to get up in the morning! Don't worry about it!"

"Look, food and drinks aside, can we just stay on-topic? Isn't our objective trying to become stronger?" Kinsley asked.

"Yeah, she's right. As much as I would love to talk about Candace needing to get used to eating cheese…"

"Excuse me?!" Candace asked, looking disgusted.

"Golly!" Alexis shouted.

"Mmm!" Darius was shocked by what Scarlett said.

This is going to get out of hand with all this ruckus taking place. Someone needs to keep these guys in check.

"...We have other things to take care of right now. Starting with training."

"Well… *sigh* I was originally going to say that, but I guess you two beat me to it." Lunia said in guilt.

"Don't beat yourself up, Lunia. I guess it was my fault for bringing it in the first place." I said with a sweatdrop.

"Don't apologize, Kaze. You did nothing wrong. Please enjoy your food."

"So, Lunia. I've been meaning to ask now. Are we going to ever use our HGU forms? It's been a while since we've used them." Blue asked.

"Yes, of course. I think it's time now that you learn how to battle using your HGU forms. In your HGU forms, you will grow stronger as you attack your foes. So it's the same as when you tested out your power the first time."

"Oh good. Hopefully I can do better at controlling this form." Blue said with a sigh of relief.

"You're going to be fine. You're just inexperienced at thrusting your body, which is something we can work on."

"So how long does this training last? Do you need us to give everything we got?" I asked Lunia.

"Yes. It's like a part-time job where you have to take your work seriously in order to get paid. Training will be the same thing so it's required that you treat this as if this was a job."

"Oh ok. I really need to take this seriously."

"Yup. I know it's going to be fun and all, but since we are all grown and "chosen" to do this, our lives are at stake here. And Kaze, you know you can make the impossible possible, right?" Kris asked me.

"Yes, I know." I replied.

"So where's this place where we can train?" Candace asked.

"It takes thirty minutes but I can just get you access to there instantly. One second." Lunia said as she was taking a minute to set up a portal.

"I really hope this training session isn't a setup. As in, I'm going to get bruised and battered."

"You're going to be fine. It's training for a reason so you must give it your all."

"Yeah, we're all in this together so the pressure's not gonna be all on you, Candace." Blue said.

"You're just now saying that? Why didn't you think about "doing this together" in the Royal Rally when we agreed to beat this blonde rascal down?!" Candace asked, looking disgusted.

"I just wanted to make a balance between the two of you. Candace, you've known me for a long time.

You were the only person that wanted to accompany me. You wanted to do this."

She… accompanied Blue?

"Wait, you accompanied someone, Candace?! So you do have friends!" Gemma said, looking shocked.

"It's not a surprise gift, idiot." Candace retorted Gemma after that quote.

"Wait, so how did you two meet? Because we haven't got to that." Darius asked.

"Yeah, I was wondering about that." Kris said. "Because Candace, you're the celebrity. Yet you befriend someone who not even a million people in England would recognize."

"Well… *sigh* For starters, I wanted to reconsider the idea, but one time, she was really all alone and there was not a single person that was talking to her. I had a feeling she was lonely so… I decided to be nice for a while and accompanied her. That's how we became friends."

"Wow… that sure was pretty nice."

"Ok, the portal is now set up. All of you may feel free to enter. Use your training time wisely." Lunia said as she finally created a portal for the training room.

"Thank you, Lunia." I said. "Ok, we shouldn't waste time. We have to be super prepared for tomorrow so we should do it now."

"She's right." Blue said. "As much as I would love to talk about other stuff, preparation is really important so we should take this seriously."

I'm glad I have someone that I could trust.

"Well… say no more. Let's go." Kris said as he got up from his seat.

"Yeah, let's go. It's better to be a doer than a thinker." Darius said as he took the hint.

"Finally they took the hint." Scarlett whispered with a sigh of relief.

We've now entered inside the training facility after a couple of people were taking too long getting their points straightened out. We were now ready to do this. It's like it's my first job ever as an HCU rookie, so it's time I made my first impression here.

"Alright, we're here." I said as all of us arrived inside.

"Why does it feel like we're in a spaceship?" Candace asked as this was her first time inside the training facility.

"More importantly, this technology is way better than mine. I simply don't know how they got that." Kinsley whispered, looking like she had deep regret.

"This world is from the future, so you're gonna be seeing this type of stuff as we progress." Zack said to her.

"So… wait, is it gonna be all of us doing this?" Gemma asked.

"Yeah. All of us, Gemma. It's something that we must do together." I said.

"Wow. Talk about crazy!"

"Alright, there's a big battlefield that is not far from here. I'll take you there." Scarlett said.

"Ok, sure thing." I said.

"Yeah, sure thing, Scar."

"Don't push my buttons." Scarlett retorted Darius.

We all then followed Scarlett to wherever the battlefield is. Some of us felt nervous to do this, and some of us felt confident that they'll do their best. I was confident. I have to be one of those people because I'm the one that everybody is paying attention to. All other dimensions are in desperate need of a capable leader.

Not that I have proven it yet. I'm not sure if I was at Primp Town, considering there were people that stepped in as one. I have to be more motivational to my group. I just feel like I'm more focused on– you know what, never mind. I'm just thinking about it more and more often. I'll just do it.

Once we arrived at the entrance of the big battlefield, it looked a lot like a stadium or a colosseum, but with no supporters around. It was shocking because there were only 10 of us so there was no reason for this battlefield to be this big.

"Woah… it's that big?" I asked, looking at the area.

"Yup. We expected it to look like this because of the space it can hold for the amount of people inside." Zack said. "I even checked its width and height. And it's about the right amount for 20 people."

"20 people? Or just 10 people?"

"No, just 20. This facility can't hold up to more than that because people won't have time to showcase their skills with the area clogged up. This is the perfect amount."

"It's just gonna be the ten of us facing other dummies, so training is just going to be swift." Alexis said.

"It might not be swift when all we're doing is improving and staying ready early." Scarlett said.

"And you might be in a pickle, having to take your time and things of that nature." Darius said.

"Hey, I'm a brawler! I don't need to be reckless to take down my enemies when I need to. And didn't you teach me how to take my time when it comes to brawling, Scarlett?"

"I did. I'm just telling you that it's not going to be easy. We've gone easy long enough. It's time we should take this seriously." Scarlett said to Alexis.

"Sh-Should we begin the training? I don't want to hold up now." Blue asked all of us.

"We will, Blue. Just give me a second to set up the battle."

Scarlett took the time to set up the big battlefield as we were now ready to begin training. I've been prepared to do this for a long time. I attempted to stay hopeful that I would survive this training. Everything I've learned since day one of when I tested these powers has been on my mind and I was now ready to carry it over to the big battlefield.

I'm now ready to make my impression. This is my beginning stage of success in life.

"Alright. I got everything set up. Get ready." Scarlett said as she finished making preparations.

"A'ight. Time for me to carry the workload." Darius said as he summoned a gun in his hands. And it was a big one.

I figured that.

"Woah! Another weapon wielder!" Gemma shouted, looking shocked at what Darius held up.

"Another? I'm the… wait, another person's holding a weapon?" Darius asked.

"I am." Kinsley said as she summoned her own gun.

"Oh, someone has the guts to wield up a firearm!" Darius said with a cheeky smile.

"I don't want to be crazy and pick any type of weapon that I'm interested in. Just this gun is fine. Besides, it's more dangerous than anything else."

"Alright, get ready. Our foes are going to appear." I said as I was charging up my lunar power.

*THIS TRAINING SESSION WILL NOW BEGIN SHORTLY. PLEASE READY YOUR WEAPONS AND/OR ABILITIES AT THIS TIME.*

It's the same lady as before. And no buzz which is a blessing to my ears. Alright, time to focus.

Everyone else got their weapons or abilities ready as we were now ready to prepare for what's coming. With a lot of determined looks on our faces, it was time now that we proved that we can overcome anything if we work together. Fun time was over. It was now time to go to work.

*THE TRAINING SESSION WILL NOW BEGIN ON MY MARK.*

*3!*

*2!*

*1!*

*START!*

There were 10 human figures that spawned before our very own eyes once the session had begun. The training session was now set to begin.

"Engaging Sorcerer Mode!" Scarlett shouted as she was about to work with magic first.

As soon as she said there were a couple of human figures charging right towards us as we were about to make our first move.

There was even a human figure that was aggressively charging straight towards and was about to make its first blow, but I dodged out of the way and blasted it with my lunar magic.

Alright, I'm getting off to a good start.

I then started to charge up more power with my lunar magic so that I can create a powerful attack…

"Kaze, watch out!" But then Blue warned me at the last second as she was going to bump into me.

I immediately went out of the way so that she could focus on her target. But then that target was using its bow to aim straight towards me, so I quickly got out of the way to dodge the shots from the bow.

The other target that I attacked earlier, got up to its feet and started attacking me also. This time, that human figure was swinging its sword at me, trying to bring me down to the ground. As soon as I was dodging most of its sword attacks, I was losing my balance and fell backwards to the ground.

The human figure then saw me on the ground and started to slowly lifted its sword up as it was about to… impale me.

*POW*

I quickly kicked both of its legs hard to prevent the mass amount of damage I might take from that slow preparation of a big attack.

I got back up from my feet after that and summoned my sword…

*CLING SOUND 5X*

…And started swinging at the foe with all of my might, but it started blocking my attacks like it was too easy.

And both of us were struggling to get the first slash.

"C-Come on, Kaze!" I said to myself as I was using all my force to get the first hit with my sword.

I was using more and more of my energy until eventually…

*SCHIING*

…I successfully made the human clone drop the sword, giving me the opportunity to attack.

"Yes! An opening!" I said, happily.

*SLICE SOUND 5X*

*POW*

I took the chance now to slash the clone 5 times, and punched it right in the face as hard as I could, knocking it down on the ground.

Oh, wait a minute… Lunia did say I could transform while training. I didn't notice that until now.

I gotta do it. Can't waste time. Transform!

I got absorbed into a white and light-blue light to change into my 5000-Gen HGU Form to gain more strength. A couple of seconds later after changing…

"Alright, let's see how this goes." I said after looking at my new form.

"Wait, you transformed already, Kaze?!" Darius asked me, looking at my new form.

"Yes, but don't worry about me. Stay focused." I said to him.

"Oh… well, you're right."

I wish I could let him observe it a little longer, but we have an important job to do.

After transforming, I took the time to finish the human clone by charging up so much lunar energy, but this time, it was charging quicker than last time.

Wow. That was quicker than expected.

Seconds after charging, I felt a crazy amount of power growing from my body, and it looked like I was about to defeat this opponent easily.

"Let's test this out." I said.

I then quickly lifted the clone right back up and started battering the clone with repeated punches…

*SLICE*

…Along with slicing the human clone in the belly, creating a mass amount of light-blue blood leaking from his body. And within seconds, he fell onto the ground again with his body disappearing within seconds. That was actually the first time I eliminated someone with my HGU form.

"Ok. First enemy down."

Oh, I'm really starting to get used to this now. I think I am really starting to become prepared.

*MOMENTS AFTER TRAINING*

"Wow, some training. I think I am really prepared." I said after realizing how I did out there.

I did change back to my human form as all of us were now sitting back in the training facility entrance after what was a great training session.

"Yeah, me too." Blue said. "I guess I shouldn't be worried about having to face such difficult opponents.

This feels amazing how we accomplished it on our first day."

"Yeah! You see?! You have nothing to worry about!" Darius shouted. "All y'all had to do was never think about the negative stuff and just think about just little pieces. Take it one step at a time. And what did y'all do?!"

"Take it one step at a time!" Gemma said with a grin.

"Well… I guess I have to admit that we did great together." Candace said with a smile.

"Yeah, you were great too, Candace." Alexis said. "Your moves were so… brutal. You didn't even need me to help you out."

"Well no one messes with the fashionista after all!" Candace said, proudly. "But umm… yeah, thank you… I forgot your name."

"Alexis."

"Oh yeah… thank you, Alexis."

"Sloooowly getting along, I see." Kris said with a smirk.

"Hey, come on. Just let them be for once." I said to him, sternly.

"I guess you can say training isn't all that bad." Kinsley said. "It's been two days after all so I'm slowly getting the rhythm of my performance."

Well… I did recruit her later than sooner so it was expected.

"Yeah, my weapon is a lot more maximized than usual. The amount of volts in this thing is super dangerous so I should be raring to go." Zack said, looking at her weapon.

Another weapon user. Yeah, I know. It's a pain. But it's everyone's decision so I'm not gonna decide for them.

"I have a feeling Zack is gonna be doing all the work with his weapon being an instant cheat code." Darius said.

"Yeah, you girls saw the amount of work he was doing?" Kris asked.

"Yeah, I can see. You really know your engineering and technology stuff, Zack." Blue said.

"Yes. It looks like I really shouldn't ignore how much hard work you put in. You really are reliable." Scarlett said with a smile.

"Yeah… *groan* It's what I really love after all. I have Dr. Lotus to thank, after all, for teaching me these things." Zack said while touching and feeling his weapon.

Wow… he's that passionate. I wish he can show me some of the things that he does best one time. Maybe after we get through finding these stones.

Moments later, there was a portal that spawned right in front of us. I wasn't sure how it got here but…

"In here, everyone!" I heard Lunia say as that voice was coming from the portal.

We all then gathered inside the portal which warped us right back to the base to see Lunia after what was a pretty good training session.

"So how did it all go for you all?" Lunia asked all of us.

"It was great! I was left unscathed after all the hard work I put in." I said to her.

"I actually did way better than last time with my archery skills." Blue said, happily. "I took my time, applied focus, and it was simply way too easy for me."

"My results were still the same as yesterday. Nothing has regressed." Kinsley said.

"Yup! Same for me and Candace!" Gemma said with a cheeky grin.

"Well, that's great! Looks like you really are prepared for tomorrow's first mission! I knew it was right to call the five of you." Lunia said, happily.

"I don't know what's going to be out there, but with this type of training, we can do anything." Blue said.

"Don't forget. You still have us as backup." Scarlett said.

"Yeah, remember. It's all five of us joining you five." Kris said.

"Yeah, we know." I said.

"Well I'm glad you trained very hard and are very prepared for tomorrow." Lunia said. "Just to remind you of what's coming up. The yellow stone appears tomorrow, green stone appears in 4 days, blue stone appears in 6 days, purple stone in 9 days. All of you will have to return the stone back to Hyperdrive City before the next stone appears. The other villains will have an opportunity to get their hands on it so do not let that happen. With that being said, do you have any other questions before I set you free?"

There was a moment of silence from everyone until I had this to say. I never actually did this before, but… I was going to ask it anyway.

"I actually have one. I never really asked this before… is it ok if I stay here for the night?" I asked.

"P-Pardon? Stay here for the night?" Lunia asked, looking surprised.

"Yes. I never had a change of scenery for once in my life. I usually stay home to read books but I feel like something different would keep me occupied."

"Wait, you wanna sleepover in a different dimension?" Kinsley asked.

"I did owe Lunia for helping me get what I want and it made me get a lot of progress. So I figured… why not. I owe them big time."

"Well, I guess I'll reward you and your friends for your hard work by staying here. But see if your parents will allow it first before I consider it." Lunia said as she gave in.

"W-Wait, I'm getting roped into this?!" Kinsley asked, looking blushed.

"Yeah. You didn't have a sleepover before?" I asked.

"No! I never slept in someone's home! D-Do you really wanna invite me?"

"You don't have to, but it would be fun if you did."

"Yeah! I'm not opposed to having a sleepover!" Gemma said. "I like having sleepovers with my friends! It would be really fun if I did a sleepover with you!"

"I-If it makes you happy, then I'll ask my… "parents" first." Kinsley gave in.

Why did she say it like that?

"Yeah, me too." Candace said. It's only right for me to ask my parents before I do so. I am a young celebrity after all so I can't make decisions for myself just yet."

"And you, Blue?" Lunia asked.

"I'm in. If everybody wants to sleepover, then I'll join." Blue said.

"Ok. So please be sure to notify your parents about this before I make you welcome here."

"Ok. We will, Lunia."

We then used our telecators to warp back to our homes. I know this was sudden and I should get back to see my mother, but the last time I had a sleepover was when I was with Arle, Amitie, Ringo and Raffina. I wanted to do it with the Hyper family, just to get an experience on what other things they do there. And I was glad all my British friends wanted to do this with me.

I'm really starting to live normally! My mother must be proud!

"Mom!" I said as I walked into the house.

"I'm in here, Kaze!" I heard Mom say upstairs.

I went upstairs to her room to go see her. And it looked like she was watching the news.

"Hey, pumpkin. How was training?"

"It went pretty well. I've gotten well-prepared as an HCU. I've wanted to ask you if I can sleepover at Lunia's home. She invited me as a reward for putting in all the hard work."

"Oh? A sleepover? She didn't really need to do this for you… but do you want to sleep over there? You earned it after all." Mom asked.

"Yes. This will get me prepared for tomorrow's first mission." I said.

"First mission? You mean to find the next stone?"

"Yes. I have to head to the Mushroom Kingdom tomorrow to look for the third stone. So this might be my last day staying here… again."

"Well… *sigh* That's true. You really are going to have a lot of work to do in saving the world and becoming a superheroine. And I won't be able to see my daughter for several days."

My mother then went silent for a few seconds to think about it. Only for her to say this…

"Alright. Go pack what you need for your sleepover."

Author's Note: All ten characters have now prepped up for their first "official" adventure to find the next stone. As they wait for the stone to appear, they all now decide to hang out at the Hyper family's home as a reward for their efforts in training.

But the question is… what will it look like? I don't know.

My personal notes will be in the next chapter so please feel free to read the next chapter.
